We were up in Yorkshire for a few days because of a family crisis. After a not particularly pleasant drive up the A1 from Cambridge on Sunday morning we arrived at Oulton Hall about noon. Lily, who was on the reception desk, explained that they had been busy on Saturday and that our room would not be ready for a couple of hours. I asked her to try and she said she'd do her best. We went through for a cuppa and Lily came over ten minutes later to say that she'd found us a room. "That's a great start" my wife said so we checked in and were off to see family. We were back and forth to the hotel for the next few days. We did not get a chance to use the facilities like the pool and spa. Those parts of the hotel that we did use, bars, lounges, restaurant were all staffed by good-humoured hard-working staff. We could not have found a better place to stay. They are doing renovations, particularly to the hall carpets etc. so getting around was interesting but I'd recommend this hotel very highly. The staff make it special although it is a very attractive building with lots of history. We intend to go back soon when we hope that we can simply enjoy the hotel and surrounding area.

We booked a one night stay as a friend’s birthday party was just around the corner and I must say after reading reviews we were a little dubious. I must say on arrival all doubts were quashed, most reviews are rather old and the hotel has been renovated since. On arrival we were greeted at reception by a friendly man (unfortunately I didn’t catch his name), he got us checked in promptly and offered us a choice of 2 rooms both with en-suite facilities, although he explained the room on the first floor had a lovely view of the city, we opted for the ground floor room as we didn’t want to risk waking other guests when we can in late at night. The room we got was lovely, very modern and clean looking and as it was a cold night we were delighted that the room was nice and warm. The bed linen was clean and fresh and it’s one of the best nights sleep we’ve had in a hotel. There was tea and coffee facilities in the room with plenty of tea, coffee, milk and sugar. The bathroom was very clean and modern and looked rather new. The shower was very good, with excellent pressure and plenty of room to manoeuvre. On check out the man on reception was very friendly again, he really did make us feel welcome. Don’t be put off by old reviews this hotel is lovely and we would definitely stay here again.

It’s nice that there are many electrical sockets with a USB interface. If you don’t have a toothbrush, you have to bring your own, and the breakfast is also good. Hotel location is OK, a little distance from the train station, dragging luggage is not good to go or Uber is about 3 pounds and five minutes away, the hotel room is very small, no toiletries, hair dryer and slippers. But hot water is good for breakfast. The hotel also ordered another breakfast for 7 pounds. Early check in plus GBP 10 but can store your luggage first. Check out the luggage for 2 pounds after check-out.

Superior location. The hotel has good facilities. In front of the gate is the river. It's safe, too. I do a lot of running in the morning. Next to it is a new shopping mall. Later, I found that there are many noodles to eat. You can also see the scenery outside. Very good

Fantastic apartments. We stayed for one night, complimentary drinks and snacks provided. Immaculately clean, quality bedding with feather pillows and duvets. Nice to have a separate lounge to relax in. To say it is in the heart of the city we had a great night sleep, so quiet and peaceful. We will be back, great find and everyone so friendly.

We got married here on 30th April and we had the most amazing day. From day 1 when we came to view the venue (1st venue viewing after lockdown!!) Caroline, the wedding planner, was really friendly and so helpful and informative - so much so that we booked the venue and cancelled all our other viewings! Every time I had a question about the wedding, Caroline replied SO quickly and was so reassuring and helpful during every aspect of wedding planning. I honestly can't imagine the wedding planning process without her! On the day, because of the attention to detail and planning from Caroline, the day went so smoothly - big thank you to Patrick and the rest of the on the day team who helped make our wedding day amazing. All our guests commented on how well organised and smoothly the day went, and the food was amazing! We can't thank you guys enough for helping make our day so special. We will be booking for our 1st wedding anniversary without a doubt! Charlotte & Callum

On arrival, reception was quick and easy with polite staff although they gave us a room number instead of a suite name which didn’t correspond with any of the signs so we initially couldn’t find the room. The Sadler suite in the Manor House was lovely! Spacious had everything we needed for a stay over and comfortable bed. Only issue was neither bed side lights didn’t work so only had big room lights available. I would rather have low level lighting when in bed and the bath robes had tie hoops missing. Just little faults but ones a good hotel should check. Tea/coffee facilities and bathroom supplies were nice. Great shower. We ate in the Convive restaurant and the food was good, Belly Pork was the best cut I’ve had in a restaurant for a while and cooked to perfection, beautiful. Would recommend and would stay again. Thank you for a nice evening.

Very good one stay experience. The room was bigger than I thought, and I thought the bed was small, and my girlfriend and I had no problem sleeping. The room was clean and quiet, the bed was comfortable and the service was excellent. The biggest advantage is that the hotel is very close to the train station, just behind, come down from the elevator on the south side and walk a short distance. It's easy to go anywhere in the UK by train.

The hotel is located in the city center, next to the big shopping mall restaurants and so on. Sanitation is okay, it's almost a seven-day hotel in China. Ctrip information can be marked as free parking, we also rushed to live at this point. But obviously the information is wrong! The parking fee is £6.5 a day!

The dormitory checked out on the last day after graduation and returned to China. The location is good, next to the train station. The facilities are all very clean. I don't give full marks because I don't think it's amazing, but if it meets the ordinary needs, it's similar to the holiday inn on Burley Road, but this room has a larger area. There is a direct path from the entrance of the hotel to the train station, there is no need to go around to the front, it is from the red bridge hole, go directly to platform 1, the bridge hole is probably hundreds of years old, right?

Stayed at Village Hotel Leeds North because I was visiting a client in the area and it's so much more convenient than getting snarled up in city centre traffic. To me as a female, lone traveller, the Village formula works superbly with everything from Starbucks to an immaculate gym under one roof. I also appreciate how much space there is to settle in to do some work. Plenty of tables with power sockets. My room was spotless and I had a great night's sleep. Fish and chips for dinner was spot on and there was a great selection of beers. There was plenty of choice on the breakfast buffet and check out was straight forward. What's not to like? I think a lot of people do not appreciate that the cost of living is not exclusive to our personal lives, hotels have a mountain to climb in order to cover costs and staffing is a nightmare across the industry so I just try to be kind to those who have shown up.

We booked this hotel for a gig we were going to in the first direct arena. The location was perfect as we were walking distance away. There isn’t parking at the hotel but they validate your parking ticket for the secure multi story car park next door, which takes it down to £10 for 24 hours instead of £24. Room was lovely. And free continental breakfast, which was also lovely. Oh and to top it off there was free tea and coffee facilities down in reception which you could have whenever you want in addition to the one in your room. The coffee was really good quality as well so my partner and I were very impressed. Extremely friendly staff. Couldn’t ask for more really.

We were looking to stay in Leeds as a family of 3 (child age 3) and this option worked well for us having living space for after little one had gone to sleep. Parking all went smoothly, half price in sovereign square (hotel give you voucher to put in machine before you pay and leave, dont need to do anything before park). Apartment was great, including a well equipped kitchen which we used a little for snacks for our son and mainly breakfasts and lovely living area. We had asked for an extra cotbed in the bedroom and it was there when we arrived and bedroom was still spacious. Staff were all v friendly and room got cleaned daily. The only slight negative was nowhere to stop and drop bags by apartments before parking, website says there is but so many roadworks and building work going on in leeds centre including right by apartments so no chance! Also google maps does not pick up location of apartments correctly it thinks you are always on quebec st, this meant we went to wrong place on arrival but also if you want to order takeaway have same issue with delivery. Best to just use infirmary st address itself.

Stayed for one night, managed to check in early which was great. Guest relations rang me a few days before to offer me competently tickets to the entertainment they had on that night as I put in the booking it was birthday visit, which I thought was nice. The room was clean and modern and bed was comfortable, we didn't really have a view as was on first floor however we did get a very good deal on the room rate so that was expected. The gym and the pool was great, was easy enough to check in and use the facilities which was included with booking direct when you sign up to be a member. We did not eat in the hotel but we did have a few drinks at the bar with the football and staff where nice and drinks reasonably priced. Would definitely stay again.
