We just stopped for one night— en route from MO to ME— In the morning as we were getting ready to leave, I dropped my (gas permeable special order) contact lens and heard it hit the porcelain and leave sight. I just knew it had gone down the drain. I panicked. My husband suggested I call the front desk. I tried to calmly explain what had happened as I panicked. The lady that answered said she’d call me right back. Just a couple minutes later there was a knock at the door. It was Rose and Katie, as we now know. They explained that the maintenance guy wasn’t there right now. (It was a Sunday morning) Rose had some very big metal tools. She immediately got down to the ground under the sink to take a look. (Katie let me know that she had also had contacts since she was 12 like me so she knew how devastating this was.) My husband as Rose took turns on the plumbing to get the pipes undone. Once the pipes were off we started the excavation. We first ran water through the faucet to flush it. We collected it in an ice bucket and searched the runoff. No luck. Next we focused on the disconnected pipe. There is a lot of sludge in pipes. So Rose started the excavation on the pipe, working over a towel and an ice bucket to pan the sludge. Meanwhile Katie and I searched the floors, drain, etc… sometimes with the lights off because she said that was helpful to see the shining on the lens. Her fastidiousness and resolve kept me calm. I was giving up. It had been easily an hour and a half. I was ready to move on. I was telling everyone thanks for the help but it was going to be ok and that we should all stop the effort. Then, like a beacon in a storm, Katie came over with some sludge in a coffee filter, poking at something with a coffee stir stick and saying, “Is this it? Is it shriveled up?” I examined the specimen incredulously at first and then with a mix of stun, horror, and amazement I pushed my finger down into the muck and there it was, cupping to my finger like my good little lens: The Contact. Post script: Turns out Rose was the breakfast lady! We were like ha we missed breakfast and she saved us some (she recommends the sausage biscuit) Then she told me to take a banana for my husband because he looked a little shaky. We don’t know Katie’s roll at the hotel but I’m assuming she’s on her way to the very top! Thanks again ladies, we’ll certainly never forget! Lovely ladies. We’ll never forget. Thank you!!!

We recently spent an overnight stay at ”HOTEL BETHL EHEM” to celebrate our ”60th Wedding Anniversary”. It was the most fasinating & awesome place we have ever stayed at. We have owned a time share for 20 years & have probably stayed at as many as 50 different resorts & to us they were all wonderful. But this experience was just over whelming. Our room was outstandingly beautiful, perfectly clean & more lovely then we could even try to describe. The staff was the best, we ate at the hotel in there terrace room & that was as beautiful as anyplace I have ever seen. The food was top notch & there breakfast in their tap room was above all... totally delicious. My only wish is that I would have stayed here before. We only live 45 minutes from here & this was our first visit. Above all....you must give it a try. Karl & Donna Stauffer

American breakfast is simple but not bad. It is a gathering place for parents of Lehigh University, and it only takes seven or eight minutes to walk to the school.

Spacious and comfortable room, spotless clean. I was surprised the room was equipped with a complete kitchen. There's a small self service shop in the lobby of the hotel to buy basic items (for breakfast or a quick meal). Staff was helpful and friendly. Free parking and we could keep an eye on the car from the window of the room. Location is very quiet, a 10 minutes walk from the Wind Creek ****** and event center (I was there for 2 nights to see shows at the event center and this hotel was perfect for my needs).

THANK YOU TAYLOR! My family came in from California to visit for a few days. They have two small children. I called the hotel 2 weeks prior to request connecting rooms and spoke to Shay. He said he was the manager and to call one day prior to our arrival to see if connecting rooms were available. I called the day before arrival and Shay wasn’t there. I spoke to another front desk person and they said there were no connecting rooms in the hotel and to email JOCELYN the general manager. I emailed JOCELYN and never received a response. NEVER! Frantic I’m calling the hotel the morning of arrival asking for Shay still no Shay. However I was speaking to TAYLOR AND TAYLOR MADE IT HAPPEN AND SAVED THE DAY!!! TAYLOR blocked the rooms for us and made it happen so our family could be together. The hotel is nothing special the beds aren’t even comfortable but it’s clean. Due to Covid I did not see my oldest granddaughter since November of 2019 and I had a brand new granddaughter to meet THANK YOU TAYLOR FOR KEEPING OUR FAMILY TOGETHER. Management at this hotel just doesn’t care about the details. I’m lucky to have found TAYLOR who does care about the guests that stay there. In the future if it’s too much trouble to get connecting rooms I’m sure there is another hotel down the road that can accommodate us..

Breakfast: The breakfast was hardy and plentiful. If you have a gluten and/or dairy allergy, there is not much you can enjoy. My favorite was the little hashbrown rounds – they were yummy. They have scrambled eggs with cheese, the hashbrown rounds, sausage patties, cereal and oatmeal, pastries, yogurt, and fruit (banana or apples and orange). The workers were very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was very courteous and friendly. They always said hi and greeted in the hallway with a smile. I had some issues and they tried their best to help me, but they can only do so much with the limited tools that the management provides. My issue is not with housekeeping, but with the tools given to housekeeping. 1. The towels are so old and used, that my towels were so small that it would not fit around my body! The towels were so worn that I could see through them; not much “plush” at all. And there were stains on them – I could see that they were laundered, but stains nonetheless. They need new towels! Also, you could not get extra towels, I had to turn in my towels to receive new ones. So I could not get extra towels. 2. The housekeeping only has dirty brooms to clean the floors. I was ironing a black blazer within 30 minutes of check in. My sleeve touched the ground while the rest was on the ironing board, when I moved the blazer, it looked like my sleeve was a dust rag – upon closer inspection, the floor was free of large debris, but was dirty with dust. The housekeeping sweeps, but they need better tools to clean the floors (the floors are all tile). They need Swiffer or those mop heads that lift up dust. The lobby is really pretty and the conference rooms are nice. Not sure why my room was “dirty” and not up to standards of what I would expect from a Best Western. My bathroom had such horrible water damage, that the wall paper was bubbling. The patrons of the hotel, at least in my section, seemed to live there or was at least there for extended stays. There was a lot of yelling, arguing, they threw out their trash in the halls (during the day housekeeping routinely cleaned it up) – and even their sheets and towels. The décor I the hallway is dark browns – so it is very dark, with hardly any light. I had issues with the keycard, but you just need patience and try several times, but it does work. I stayed several days. Everyone was nice and I would give customer friendliness 5 stars. But housekeeping needs better towels and tools (like a dust mop) to clean up the rooms. (Management – do not yell or get housekeeping in trouble – they clean and I saw them clean other rooms, but they can only do so much if you give them so little.)

Room was filthy. Mattress and mattress pad were both TERRIBLY stained. Crud in all the coroners, garbage behind headboard, shower was stained. No sheets for pull out couch. Temperature could not be regulated. We froze all night even though the thermostat was set to 73. Poor quality breakfast offerings. This was definitely not the quality you would expect from a Hilton brand hotel. Would not recommend.

We have stayed here for more than a week, the overall facilities of the hotel are very good, the only thing is that the breakfast is not good, the breakfast variety is very small, and it is exactly the same every day. The room design is bright, the bathroom faucet is fast, and there are simple kitchen facilities such as refrigerator microwave sink tableware. There is a gym laundry pool in the lobby. The hotel is recommended
