0.42km from downtownVery good location, close to Chinatown, very convenient to eat, microwave and refrigerator. The parking lot is large and free. Breakfast is American, not eaten, not good. Can not be an extra bed, but the bed is very large, about 1.5 meters, with children is not a problem.
0.86km from downtownWe arrived at the hotel on February 1st. Because of doubts about the tax policy, the front desk replied very well and responded after checking the information repeatedly. Seeing this hotel in this area on Ctrip, I hope that its location is near Chinatown, and the driveway is on the way, no need to turn, no need to turn around, just go right. The health of the hotel is very good and may be related to the hotel. Breakfast is not complicated but nutritious. The indoor environment is clean and tidy, the refrigerator and microwave oven are very good, and the restaurant has boiled water for 24 hours. Overall, it is still good, I will choose again next time, thank you Ctrip.
0.86km from downtownI will never stay at this hotel again. The only good thing I can say is that everything get work and staff was friendly, but only half of them wore mask. The problems were: the safety latch on the door was broken, they had roaches, you have to pay extra if you what clean towels with room service, you have to go to the front desk to get toilet paper and trash bags, the phone in the room didn't work, you have to take out your own trash to the dumpster in the parking lot and loud music from other rooms and car alarms going off morning, noon and NIGHT from Stupid @#$% people. The type of people that stay at this hotel won't be reading this or any other reviews on this hotel.
0.99km from downtownClean and tidy, stylish and casual, warm service
1.16km from downtownGood location, close to Chinatown. Breakfast is simple. Good sanitary conditions. For this price, it's worth it.

1.34km from downtownEvery stay in Houston is here, the hotel is in a good location, very close to Chinatown. The hotel room is very large, the sofa can also pull out a bed, the bed is very large and comfortable, breakfast is a typical American breakfast, it is more suitable for home travel, business trip. Very good value for money, living here is a good choice!
1.63km from downtownCould use a larger well lit Candlewood sign. A bit hard to locate at night. Dirty fork in a "clean, ready to use" marked dishwasher. All in all, a comfortable, clean and friendly stay. Still, at the top of my favorite places to stay.

1.64km from downtownHotel is good, close to Chinatown, convenient to eat, hotel health is good, but the hotel is arranged in the wrong room, the original is a double bed, but the hotel said that the single bed received, no way, no room to adjust But come!
1.83km from downtownOvernight stay with daughter, location was great next to a well loved eatery we enjoy. The room was very affordable and had everything we needed including a place to even cook. Hip Hip Hooray !!! Well done
1.9km from downtownI come to Houston every few months & I’ve always stayed at Omni or Marriott. This hotel is honestly just as good. It’s clean, the staff is Wonderful. Every single one of them. Front desk on down to the housekeeping. They’re doing a really good job there. Such a reasonable price. Pleasantly surprised. For sure will return. Special thanks to Shine at heart front desk, and Rukhsana for making my stay awesome.
2.59km from downtownKrista and Da'miracle were great! They gave me the best customer service and were super attentive. Everything I asked for, they gave to me without question. I love this location just because of them. Housekeeping could have been better.
2.77km from downtownMy daughter and l have been here for several months while we work on getting a new home. The office staff (Ms. Toni, Bella and Patricia) is pleasant and helpful. George is always understanding and helpful if you have a problem. We've not encountered any issues since arriving here. Thanks for everything☺
Hotels Near Flavors African Cuisine In Houston Review
My wife, her Service Dog and I stayed at this property. When checking in I was greeted by P. K. and even though I made sure to let the property know that we were traveling with a Service Dog it seemed like it was a complete surprise to P.K. He asked for proof for the Service Dog, this is against ADA rules, but since I was tired I showed proof along with her shot records. Once we got through this the room (which was handicap accessible) was amazing!! It was big enough to accommodate my wife in her wheelchair. Suggestions I would make are to install a 24 inch grab bar in the shower along with a shower seat. Also, the bed is too high for a disabled to get into, I had to lift my wife to get her onto the bed.Once these adjustments are made we would definitely stay here again. P. K. kept asking us if all was good.
The hotel location is very good, in a very downtown place. Opposite gallaria, next to walgreen, shopping and eating are very convenient. Parking is definitely expensive and hotel services are also expensive. This is the US.
I was looking for a hotel with a nice soft bed so I thought I would give the Hilton a try...I would give the softness of the bed a 3 out of 5 for 125.00 for one night, I expected for the bed to feel more like the softness of a tempurpedic matress unfortunately it was not even close, that being said, it was still soft enough for me to get a Great night sleep, it is not nearly as hard as the beds at the Holiday Inn Express, thank goodness. The pillows however made up for the not so soft bed , as soon as I layed my head down I was alseep in the middle of the day..lol...The room was set up very nice, and also I also liked the fact that they have free parking and alot of the parking is lite up and at the front of the hotel The Things that stopped me from giving this hotel is 5 1) Most hotels check in are at 11am, but check here is the 4pm 2) the bed was not soft and it sinks in when you sleep or lay in it the wrong way 3) the cable kept going off so I could not watch anything hardly consistently
Hotel location is very good, in the subway DRYDEN station, 8 minutes from the DRYDEN Metropolitan Museum area three stations, there is a ticket vending machine on the subway platform for 1.25 dollars within three hours. The subway is parallel to the motorway on the road in front of the hotel. It is convenient to use the underground passage. There is a bathtub in the big bed room. The softness and hardness of the bed are suitable. It is suitable for a family of three. I feel comfortable living in the museum area ZAZA!
This Doubletree is 3 minutes from Hobby. They have excellent van service departing to the airport every 15 minutes. The airport pickup is rapid. Just call and they will be there usually in 6 minutes pick up spot 14 outside baggage claim. The front desk staff are very nice and professional. The rooms are always clean and recently were upgraded with new large TVs The Sundance bar is open 12 to midnight which is where I eat. They have the same menus as the regular restaurant. The two bartenders are great. Lane and Christian. There is a nice pool and gym. For a change from staying in the 9 story tower I like to stay in the cabana rooms. They face the pool and are separate from the main tower. I highly recommend this hotel for location and value when in the hobby Airport area
Enjoyed our stay! Will be back! Was originally going to stay at another location but decided to stay here and was not disappointed. Staff was nice and breakfast was delicious. Great hotel and we really liked the location.
Loved everything about this hotel will definitely be back!!!!!
Our stay at the Element was amazing. The room was amazing with a full kitchen and dishes. A nice desk area and a sofa to sit and watch tv. The bed was very comfortable for a great night sleep and a great bathroom. The room and Hotel is extremely clean and is a 5 star Hotel and why we stay always stay there. The staff Rebecca the front desk manager, Christina Rae, Krista, and Bob the general manager were amazing , they were extremely polite and very helpful and always go above and beyond. The team at the element also help to keep special watch on our trailer and help us stay without worrying about it. I would recommend this hotel thank you, Cathy H.
Checked in here – found our room floor dirty – an apologetic maid in the hallway came in and swept it -not her fault – she said our room hadn’t been used in a while. The room itself was clean and tidy - good having a basic kitchen and this Woodspring suites – unlike the other in Tampa we stayed previously – includes cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery at no extra cost - great for cooking a meal. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom – nice big walk in shower – but shower door track was broken. No hand towels, no tissues supplied. TV was good, but no TV guide for channels and programs. Also there was no motel info booklet. On check in the wifi not mentioned – so we had to go ask reception for the code. Guest Laundry was handy - $2.25 a wash and $2.25 a dry which we used. Whilst staying here the next morning the water went off. We had checked in 3 pm the day before and there was no mention of an outage by staff. We rang reception and they said it is was a planned outage and didn’t we see the notice at reception- this was not one when we checked in – it must have been placed there later. If staff knew they should have verbally told us and we would have risen earlier to shower etc. By the time we have discovered it it was already too late. We had to go out for the day and drive just to find a functioning toilet. Couldn’t have a shower and even clean our teeth properly with absolutely no water. Provision should have been made for water bottles and functioning (portable?) toilets given their prior knowledge. And why not slip a note under guests doors informing them. Not even coffee available as that had already run out just after 9am. Staff less than helpful. We don’t blame the hotel for the outage – but blame them for extremely bad handling of this event. When we returned that afternoon – water was finally back on but our bathroom sink cold water tap flow was non-existent. Rang reception and they said no maintenance until tomorrow. Therefore we had to clean teeth and shave in the kitchen sink- not good enough!! Staff were hardly ever in attendance at reception when you walked past. When they were there there was no greeting etc like most hotel receptions On the morning of check out we had to wait while they chatted amongst themselves about their weekly work schedule before they would serve us- so it took a while-not very professional. Extremely poor service from a hotel that could offer so much more. To top the stay off -a semi naked man knocked at door at 7.30am!
I always like to read some of the recent reviews before I take the time to write a review. I wasn't at this hotel for a Festival, so my experience my differ from some of the more recent reviews. The property is modern, clean, smoke-free, well maintained and operated. The staff couldn't have been nicer and the room was spotless. It's everything that I would expect from a Marriott branded hotel property. Some might write a terrible review about towels charges, extra deposits, etc for a drunken festival of some sort. But, you need to take that with a grain of salt. This is a great place & operated in a manner of what you would expect!
We stayed there two nights, the night we arrived at the airport and the night before we departed. We were pleasantly surprised from the time we got there to the time we left how helpful the Owner, his Family, and his staff were to ensure our stay was perfect. The rooms were clean and well equipped. The hot breakfast was great. The transportation to and from the Airport was efficient and on time. I would certainly stay there onec again when our travels bring us to Houston.
I was traveling from out of state to see my family for the first time since covid-19 began. My family members have multiple high risk factors, so I figured I'd work from and stay at this hotel. The good: - Staff was friendly - Most of the room was very clean - Bed was comfy - Very good blackout curtains - Near a bunch of restaurants - Free parking The bad: - WiFi down for 4.5 hours during my work day - had to cancel appointments, meaning lost income - then when I asked about this twice, no one ever got back to me about any kind of compensation (and I still had to pay $10 for late check out).. additionally, they had no ETA for when it would be back up and didn't know if it would be working the next day, leaving my work day very uncertain - Loud housekeeping in both rooms next to me (incl loud music and chatting) - This hotel was not at all full, yet they assigned someone to the room next to me.. during a global pandemic.. - I asked for late checkout and agreed to pay for it, but this wasn't communicated to housekeeping, so they were knocking on my door and talking to me during a meeting - TV remote didn't work and no buttons on TV (realized final day when trying to watch the presidential debate) - Breakfast was sad (covid-related change) and wasn't restocked - Location wise, you have to drive inbound toward the city for about a mile to turn around to go outbound (obviously not hotel's fault, but something to consider)
I really like this hotel, the breakfast is very rich, the service is very warm, the front too, and the Chinese service, too intimate, the room is big enough, clean enough! I have cleanliness, saying no pressure!
We have been here for awhile .. and seen a few staff members come & go. There is a new overnight house keeper named GLENDA! At first she was very quiet. Due to Covid .. the hotel is not doing coffee in the mornings.. so I come down to get to go coffe cups and sometimes creamer... Glenda must have a photographic memory.. because she remembers when I need cups sometime before I remember..which is a nice welcomed surprise .. it allows us to actually relax instead of jumping at the last min or getting dressed to go down stairs ... I often forget my key in the room when I take the dogs out! She was helping someone at the counter .. I assume she overheard me mention to my other half that I forgot the card upstairs… When we walked back in with her animals she already had two keys waiting for is right there behind the front desk... which was so wonderful... because of HER FORTHOUGHT , polite , & very thoughtful nature.. By having those ready before returning we were able to avoid ppl in the lobby including another dog. Some one walked in with the moment we walked out of the lobby!! Management :::: please consider Glenda as employee of the month or something! She really deserves it !!!
Well it was Fathers Day night everything was cool no problems straight to the room that next morning I woke up and left the room about 8am give are take how ever some one came in my room with my pregnant girl friend !!! It was very uncomfortable especially being she was naked . No one knocked on the door are nothing keeping in mind check out was until 12 noon
Conveniently located to nearby restaurants and shopping centers. Also Close by the airport. The hotel has complimentary shuttle service. The area is quiet. Rooms are nice and clean. Comfortable bedding and sitting area. Room equipped with a stove top, dishwasher, refrigerator, dishes and microwave. Complimentary breakfast during the morning and most evenings complimentary dinner is served. I looked forward to dinner most nights. A menu is usually located at the front desk. Front desk staff is friendly as well as the shuttle driver. Overall great location and great stay!
This Residence Inn is under renovation. The rims that are done are gorgeous and beautiful with all the amenities and up-to-date in every way. There is a lot of work in the halls and then the rooms that are not finished creating quite a mess and the common areas. There is a nice Courtyard with pool and BBQ and nice trees and foliage as well as a basketball court. The staff here is really nice and the housekeeping is doing an awesome job. Good part of town with lots of restaurants nearby. They do have gated parking but it is free. Only issue I really had was that air conditioning it does struggle to keep up with providing a cool temperature inside the rooms of low 70s. Can't seem to get below 72 this summer. 72 might be cool to a Texan but for anybody from out of town that's not used to the humidity 72 feels like upper eighties. Would recommend this hotel Once the renovations are done. I bet it's very nice once all the renovations are done
We went late, so the shuttle bus had to call the main station. Usually quite a lot The staff is very friendly and the service is particularly good. The room is very big. After all, it is big Texas! !
The room has two double beds and a sofa bed. The size of the double bed is a bit small, and it will be a little crowded to sleep for two adults. It is okay to pull the sofa out and sit on the bed and sleep for two people. There is a microwave in the room, no cooking utensils and cutlery, it is difficult to cook, only the microwave oven can simply heat the microwave food. Hotel breakfast is an ordinary American breakfast bar, but there are not many varieties, but the fruit coffee yoghurt eggs are very complete, and there is no problem to eat. The hotel is in the downtown area, and there are some tramps around in the evening. It is best not to go out late. The three hotels are connected together and they will enter the wrong hotel if they are not careful.
I enjoyed my stay at this location and I have to applaud Mr. Timothy Harris for his outstanding execution of customer service. As well as his staff; for making my experience delightful, clean , and safe especially during this trying and stressful epidemic. I strongly recommend that you make a stop and reservation at the Red Roof west chase location.
well. All aspects of hygiene are good. The breakfast is also very good. Hot water and lemonade are available at the door. The front desk service attitude is also very good. The whole town is also very nice, with a beautiful water tower painted with birds.
Great place to stay for the family and businesses and we enjoy it. We stayed there for 2 nights.
During our stay we felt very welcome. All staff were very friendly and attentive. Also this was a stay for our daughter state cheer competition. We needed the hair dryer badly for our daughters hair for competition and the one in the bathroom began smoking. The front desk sent someone to replace it with a new one within minutes. The room was very clean and breakfast was great. I have absolutely no complaints about our stay. We would definitely return to this location.
Like a motel, the room is large, clean, and fully equipped, but because it is close to the highway, there is a car driving overnight. If the sleep is estimated to be a bit noisy, I feel that it is okay after living for 6 days. The only thing I am not happy with is that the breakfast content is too small, but the price is cheap and acceptable.
Good location, close to the airport, clean rooms, bar on the first floor
This is what I would call a "sleeper" because it's pretty non-descript and ugly on the outside, but the rooms are actually very up to date and clean on the inside. New finishes, a couch, comfy beds and super fast internet. My only complaint is that the "hot" breakfast consists of a choice of waffles or boiled egg. Not bad for the money though.
Did not have breakfast, eat a few days each person 12 knives a day, children half price. Self-service, average American breakfast. Not expensive or cheap. It is not convenient to have no car in the United States. So staying here is much cheaper than downtown. Drive to the museum area, follow the morning peak for about 40min-1h, and go to the space center for about 1.2-1.5h. Can be tollway, less than 2.5 knives for each of the 7 seats, not expensive, take the right cash channel, below 20 can be zero. Houston is planning very well, the museum areas are all together, naturally, children are close.
I am very grateful to this hotel because I only arrived at the airport at one o'clock in the morning, and the driver who was picked up by the hotel staff had already gone home. However, when I called the hotel, they learned about my situation and compensated me for the rental. The cost of the car. The hotel’s facilities are very complete and of high quality. The hotel’s front desk is very friendly and helpful. This hotel left me a deep and wonderful impression and a lot of gratitude.
well. The hotel is located in the city center, it is very convenient to travel, the room is in good condition, the mattress is comfortable, the staff service is warm and thoughtful, and will come again.
