|0.61km from city centerI stayed here in December as a group of 4 friends in a family room with private bathroom. The room has 2 single beds and a bunk bed. The room was spacious and the bathroom was huge. We also made use of the shared bathrooms on the 2nd floor which was really useful considering we had 4 adults sharing one room. All bathrooms had large bottles of shower gel and shampoo to use. The aircon kept the room really cool but the bathroom was quite hot unless we left the door open to allow the aircon to reach it. The breakfast was OK, you had to order it the night before and they bring the whole rooms order when one person goes down to breakfast. This was a bit of an issue for us on the first day as we usually go down to breakfast at different times. We managed to get this changed for the subsequent days. Personally, I wasn’t keen on the breakfast but this was down to the options available rather than the actual food. We had dinner at the hotel one night and the food was wonderful! The shared lounge areas are lovely. The downstairs areas are air conditioned but the 2nd floor area isn’t. They were really spacious and comfortable to hang out in. The location was great for us too. We walked to the railway museum and cemetery and there were plenty of restaurants and bars in walking distance. If arriving by train, I would recommend arranging a pick up with the hotel as we struggled to find a taxi when we arrived. We asked the hotel to help us with transport to Erawan Falls and Hellfire Pass and hired a driver for the day for 2200 baht which drove us to the falls in the morning, waited while we made the hike, then took us to Hellfire Pass around 1.30pm before driving back to the hotel around 4pm. I would highly recommend both trips. Overall the hotel staff were really friendly and helpful with all of our requests.

The hotel itself is quite grand at first blush, but lack of maintenance and limited housekeeping soon becomes noticeable. Our room was very spacious with a balcony overlooking the pool and the river. Lack of a screen door meant you had to run the AC and keep the door closed to keep out mosquitos. Annoyingly out room was half a step up from the hallway and the large bathroom was half a step down. A bit of a tripping hazard and not suitable for a wheelchair user or any one with any mobility limitations. 2 beds had been pushed together to create a double but that meant the headboards did not line up with the bed or the single bed side table. Beds were comfortable, AC and internet worked fine. The whole place was passably clean but plenty of dust and insect casing were present on higher walls and surfaces. Breakfast was ok not great. Coffee was a little odd. Beautiful gardens but not convenient to town. Neigbouring property throws loud parties so noise could be an issue. Towels were threadbare but sheets were nice. We left housekeeping a tip anyway figuring people had been hard up during Covid. No nearby dining so captive audience situation at dinner as town is hard to get to. The rice barge dining room floating on the river was delightful as was the pool. Quite a lot of contradictory experiences in a single stay but could be splendid - having said that rates were fairly inexpensive.

It is many buildings, Building 1 has 3 floors in total, each building requires stairs, no elevator. There is a beautiful scenery next to the River Kwai and not far from the bridge over the River Kwai, the price of 1000 early. But there is a fee of 500 baht per dog. For a small room, there are single and double beds, and there is a balcony in front of the room with 1 set of tables. The main swimming pool is available and there is a cafe as well as a waterfront restaurant. The overall atmosphere is good. Dogs can come in the cafe and restaurant. The food is served in the middle of the taste. And in the breakfast section, it is a good set. A dog can be brought to every part of the hotel, but must be in the care of the owner.

As a result I happened upon the Good Times resort by chance. I am happy to say I wasn't disappointed. The rooms were spacious and clean, the pools were clean and cool and the restaurant was decent. The staff were all friendly and helpful. In addition their concierge service was fabulous for organising local excursions. I would stay again.

|0.94km from city centerWe really enjoyed our stay here. It’s a nice 5 minute walk to the bridge and the walk is scenic and takes you past a beautiful Chinese temple. The room we booked had a beautiful balcony overlooking the river which we enjoyed sitting out on. The room itself was spacious and clean. The features are a little outdated (there are no plug points next to the bed and we had to unplug the TV to charge our phones) but it’s a comfortable stay. The pool area is fantastic and there’s an impressive selection of breakfast foods including an “egg bar” where they make your eggs to order and a Thai coffee bar.
All in all, we really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to others - just bring an extension cord in your luggage!

Great location to catch the train (we went on Sunday to Erawan waterfall by chance at 10am) The journey was fantastic over death railway, well worth the trip just for that as the upper tiers of the waterfall were closed due to covid one of the national park workers told us. The hotel was a bit dated but spotlessly clean everywhere, warm water and good shower & pressure. Clean towels everyday & bed linen changed after 2 nights! The bed & pillows were really comfortable too. Waters & Herbal tea & coffee provided every day but would have been nice to have black teabag in room. Wi-Fi a bit slow but we knew that before we came however we weren’t here to sit on the iPhone all day😁 Breakfast was nice & hot and you could choose more than 1 menu for each person. Nice short stay in good location and I would recommend. Plenty of bars/restaurants at other end of the road with cheap taxi fare (under 100THB for a grab taxi) Nice floating restaurant on the river less than 2 mins walk right by the bridge. Couldn’t take pic of the large bed as I have disturbed it.

The Campster @ Kanchanaburi , the calmness and relaxing atmosphere offers a relax and really nice environment to chill and relax. We stayed 2 nights at different room type.- one night is campervan, one night is 2 rooms tents. Bed are comfortable. it was an pleasant stay for our family (2 adult and 2 young kids- below 8 years old) . the. Love the river scenary, dinner under the stars , breakfast is very nice too. We can choose to eat outside our tent or in the resturant . can order dinner from the resturant from menu of bbq / mookata / thai or westen food. Facilities inside the campervan and tent need some maintenance. the cupboard in the campervan cannot be closed tight and the toilet door in the 2 rooms tent in spoil , cannot close it. My kids not like the campervan, as the flying light flies and ants coming inside the van. The 2 rooms tent is big space and nice . There was camp fire every night where kids will bbq marshmallows / chocolate/ biscuit provided and not forgetting the sparkle sticks. My kids love the staffs .. The staffs are very friendly, helpful and nice. Thank you for the complimentary birthday deco and cake for my boy birthday. They do not provide toothbrush and toothpaste - bring yourself or can purchase from the counter. Recommend for those who want experience camping feel and relax atmosphere.

|0.39km from city centerI stayed here for 3 nights. I loved my stay here. Joy and Fa are amazing and friendly owners. So clean and comfortable. Joy helped me kindly with the paperwork for my visa extension at the local immigration. It's much easier to do visa extension here than in Bangkok. This guesthouse is so close to the bus terminal. Lots of places to eat nearby. The River Kwai Bridge is not too far. The Skywalk is amazing. I loved the Erawan National Park and waterfall which you can take a local bus. You can rent a bike and do your laundry at the guesthouse for a great price. I'd like to thank Joy for all her help and kindness. Thank you.

I had a large double bed, lounge and bench area to work at. Staff were very friendly and the reception spoke enough English to cover all my needs. The breakfast was limited to one Western choice but that is to be expected. The premises is located some way from from Kanchanaburi town so a car would be needed. I had a noise problem in one room but staff moved me straight away. Overall a good 3 star property for a good price.

The views were amazing from our balcony and the rooms were on the smaller side but were clean and well air conditioned (needed for the 37°C heat). The pool was really refreshing and the location overlooks the river Kwai, just off a main road full of restaurants and bars which can sometimes be a bit noisy while trying to get asleep but nothing too bad. We also had a few little lizard friends that managed to bunk into our room without paying. None we’re very big but this could be a turn off for some. It was fairly difficult to find people who actually worked there, both when checking in and out, but we enjoyed the place and would gladly stay again.

Room has complimentary bunch of bananas, few pieces of sponge cakes, coffee and tea and 2 cans of Singha soda drinks. Has a clothes rack at the balcony. A recliner chair. Comfortable bed, quiet air con. Water pressure is good. Strong Wi-Fi. Nothing more to ask for. Everything we need is there. At night no reception, but the key card will let you open the lobby main door, another door that lead to the lift. So is double security system. About 1 km to Jeath Museum, 1km to JJ Night market, 650m to wash and go laundry shop. We love this small little hotel.

|1.28km from city centerThe location is right on the water which was great! The room is a decent size and has a closet with a safe, and a desk to my some stuff on. Didn't try the TV but there was one in the room.
The toilet leaked all over the floor randomly when flushed, and the girlfriend found some hair on top of the blankets when we arrived. Those are the only negatives really.
Check-in was fast. Just fill in some information on a paper - no deposit needed, not even your passport. Check out counter didn't have anybody there at 7:30, so we just left the key behind the counter. For the price, I would definitely recommend this room.
There was this nice monitor lizard on the porch when I opened the patio doors, but it was harmless. The other picture is the view.
There was also a bit of loud music from the back of the hotel, which also has great outdoor seating, but it didn't last long.

|2.14km from city centerThe guest house has a range of rooms from more modern concrete structures to wooden cottages set on wooden piers in a quiet tributary of the River Kwai. We were upgraded to a riverfront cottage, of which there are about four. The others are set slightly back but still have a river view. It’s a budget guest house, (we paid around £20 per night and stayed 3 nights) so don’t expect any frills. Things are a bit worn but it was clean enough and the bed was the comfiest I’ve had in Asia. We used our own mosquito net but even after a lot of recent rain we had no problem with insects. One slightly disconcerting thing was that the shower, and I believe though not certain, that the toilet flushes straight into the river! Despite that there is plenty of wildlife around, lots of birds and one morning we saw a 4 foot monitor lizard swim across the river. It’s very central- 5 mins walk to bars, restaurants, supermarkets etc. in spite of that and the fact that it was a holiday weekend it seemed quiet with lots of spare rooms and we slept very well. We enjoyed our time here and would come again.

Room had twin beds, and was quite dated, but can't complain at all considering the cost. No breakfast or coffee options, but there are plenty of restaurants, 7 elevens etc very close by. Only a 10 minute walk from the train station, opposite which there is a night market with a great food choice. Around a 30-40 minute walk to the bridge and JEATH museum. Recommended.

Perfect location by all the bars and restaurants, 10 min walk from the station (we walked up after getting off the morning train from Bangkok) Breakfast was great, 100 baht for full option. Can also reccomend their Thai food for lunch/dinner. Room clean and set up nicely. Thanks for a lovely stay!

|0.56km from city centerI made a mistake and booked the River Kwai Hotel instead of the Glory River Kwai one. We eventually arrived at the hotel I booked and just to be clear, it has nothing to do with the river. It's not even near. Sandwiched in between a club and a rather suspicious massage parlour 😁 Anyway, the rooms are large, but rather old. The bed was okay, the pillows really comfortable. Curtains had to be fastened with a paperclip, hooks were missing. Air-conditioning worked very well, not blowing on your face and the temperature was well adjustable. But.... The bathroom!!!! That was really, really awful. Mould everywhere, yellow bathtub that used to be white, corroded taps, a shower curtain hanging in the bath taht had seen cleaner days. Stains of leakages all over the ceiling. In our friend's room the person above took a shower and all the water came splashing down in her bath. I even took pictures so you can see I'm not exaggerating. Breakfast was okay, egg station and toast, instant coffee or tea. The pool is nice.
