A stunning property, within walking distance of Fort William centre and with spectacular views of Loch Linnhe. Our host Charles was a gentleman and keen to offer advice on places to visit and places to eat and drink. We travelled up from Cairnryan, so were quite late checking in. We contacted Charles in advance to let him know we would not arrive until the evening and he was not at all troubled by this. He just told us to take our time and he would see us when we arrived. The room was immaculately clean with fresh linen daily and an amazingly comfortable bed. Breakfast offered a fabulous selection of food - continental, cold meats, cheese, smoked salmon, eggs, fruit, toast, tea & coffee. Would recommend Westcourt to anyone, hotel standard room with fabulous space and on site parking. Thank you Charles for a wonderful stay and for the little personal touches we came back to every day - very thoughtful. See you again. Siovhan & Michael

This hotel does not include breakfast. It is necessary to pay an extra RMB 100 per day. Because there is a McDonald's near the hotel, I did not buy the hotel's breakfast. The room in this hotel is very small. There is no place for an extra bed in the room. The hotel is in The location of the city of Fort William is good. You can go out for dinner on foot. The hotel has a parking lot and the service is good. Maybe it's because it's been raining recently and thunder and lightning. However, the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable, but the sound insulation was poor, and everything next door could hear clearly.

After hiking for a week and staying in many different hotels along the way, The Garrison was by far and away the best. All staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was fantastic, in terms of decor and comfort, not to mention the lovely snacks awaiting my arrival. Wonderful highland soap company products in the bathroom. A very comfy sleep, and unlike other high end hotels the room was well ventilated. Breakfast was by far the best of my trip. Delicious americano coffee, blueberry smoothie, fresh granola pot, full cooked and croissants, all in a relaxed setting with no pressure to eat and leave. There is no restaurant at the hotel, but guests are welcome to eat take always in the dining area which is a lovely touch. I will definitely return

Overall the staff are very friendly and professional, room was great and very relaxing, sitting in a chair overlooking Loch (fantastic). Next time we are up that way I would definitely stay agin. Stayed at the Alexandria hotel due to its great location within the heart of the town, with free parking included. If you're travelling by train then its a short walk, and if by taxi from the train station, again, it's only a few minutes away. The hotel is of an older style with a bar, restaurant and relaxation area. I didn't have an evening meal as I was still full from lunch, opting instead, to walk 5 minutes to The Ben Nevis pub, where I had a couple of pints of local beer and sat on the roof terrace enjoying the view across Loch Linnhe. Breakfast was an all you can eat buffet, with the usual selection of boxed cereals, and pastries, however, if you are vegetarian, you should let them know in advance as there was no veggie sausages on offer. I agree with previous comments, some of the carpets are threadbare, the décor is bland and the building - although stunning from the outside, -is tired and in need of a refresh internally. The bedding was clean, as was the room and hotel in general, with no issues. In terms of customer service, the Breakfast staff in the morning were very pleasant and welcoming. Sadly, I can't really recall the service upon arrival, which for me, usually, means okay but not memorable. If you are happy with your lot for the convenience of a great location, and don't require the standards of décor set by even some of the budged brands, then this place is for. If, however, you are used to something a little more luxurious with fine dining and delightful surroundings, then perhaps, look around.

We stayed at Fort William Premier Premier as we were taking our Grandson on the Jacobite train and to Loch Ness. Perfect location. Free parking at Premier Inn and less than 5 minutes walk to station., Our Grandson lost his first tooth on the way up to Scotland and asked the receptionist if the tooth fairy came to the hotel. She said she did. At 8pm there was a quiet knock on the door and we were given the below note and a bag of chocolate coins. How thoughtful. Thank you.

- Good location (very close to the starting point for the Ben Nevis trek and train station) - I loved how clean and hygienic it was. The guest house is very well maintained with properly sanitised surroundings and beddings - Has good parking facilities - Warm and friendly hosts - We stayed for 2 days (on two different occasions during the trip) in 2 different rooms. I didn't like the fact that the rooms on the first floor are not carpeted. So, the guests walking upstairs disturbed my sleep a little bit, but I managed to sleep ok despite that (notably, the guest house a 'No noise' policy between 11pm and 8am but we didn't want to complain as the disturbance was within tolerable limits)

Where do I even begin with this monstrosity of a "hotel". Arrived on Monday evening with my partner and ordered the salmon main for dinner. The potatoes were so bland they tasted like water. I took one bite of the salmon and instantly felt sick - it was the most disgusting tasting dinner I could have imagined and I could not bring myself to eat a bite more despite how hungry I was after the 4 hour train journey from Glasgow. I took my plate to the staff (who turned out to be the manager) and explained my dissatisfaction with the meal, however he didn't see that there was anything wrong with the meal. Eventually after I persisted, he offered me an alternative meal of burger and chips - AGAIN took one bite and was absolutely disgusted by the taste of it! I ended up eating only the chips as it was the only edible part of the meal. The bill came to £23, despite it clear that we would not be paying for the second meal as the only thing I had eaten that night was a side of chips. I went to bed hungry that night and had to snack on crisps. The kitchen nightmare did not end there - breakfast the following morning was even worse than dinner. They advertise a fresh breakfast on their website for £15 per head, and as we were climbing Ben Nevis that morning we were relying on a fresh breakfast to fuel us. The scrambled eggs were served with a straight 90 degree angled edge from wherever it had been scraped out of and it was so watery that it made my stomach turn, so I could not finish eating this. The orange juice is far from fresh - it was a small carton and looked like it would be served in a prison and I wish I was joking when I say it tasted like vomit! I then asked for some pineapple and was brought tinned pineapple, not fresh fruit as they advertise. The toast was unappetising and clearly made with the cheapest bread possible. The only semi-decent thing to eat was the croissant, which was the smallest size of croissant I had ever seen. We were due to climb at 9am and were relying on this £15 breakfast, instead we were had not option but to buy a Tesco meal deal as the food was so shocking. We had booked the hotels Kingfisher restaurant for that night after our climb but we didn't even bother showing up to eat and we had to get a KFC instead as everywhere else was booked. We booked a "large double bedroom" which was infact two single beds pushed together - the mattresses were horrific on our backs and the split down the middle was so uncomfortable when we were sleeping. The hotel is seriously run down and unclean which only made the stay worse, not to mention it looks nothing like the pictures online. When checking out on our last day we complained about all of the above to the rude receptionist, and she advised us to wait in the lobby for the manager. She did not make us aware of the "email complaints procedure" (which also does not work as they deny everything and do not resolve your complaint), and we were left waiting for half an hour without even

In fact, Glencoe Canyon does not have a fixed attraction. After coming from Lomond Lake and entering the mountains, every viewpoint is an attraction. There are two visit centers along the way, and the scenery is not as good as the view point. However, the most beautiful attraction in Glencoe Canyon is actually in this hotel. The hotel is located on the peninsula in the lake, the peninsula is more than 10 meters above the lake surface, the mountains and rivers, large areas of bluebells, the hotel hidden in the landscape, a picture of a paradise. Walk around the peninsula, take pictures, and watch the sunset, which is very enjoyable. Free parking lot, the room size is too big, the facilities inside are good, clean and sanitary. Warm service and good breakfast. Two-story building without elevator.

Prices start at £4 or £5 per night... This is an old castle hotel on the west side of the Scottish Highlands. From a common area point of view everything is well done and impeccable. But from the point of view of the rooms...the price/performance ratio is obviously super low. The facilities are outdated, so I asked for a humidifier... A hair dryer that was produced 20 years ago came, which was completely unacceptable and had no humidifying effect at all. The shower room has very strict requirements on the size of the guests, and I personally feel that the water pressure can be further improved and improved. The laudable point is that the shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap in the bathroom...all have two ball royal certifications, and the quality is also carried. The cold and hot water device of the washbasin is a traditional separate type, which is the kind of water that you either use cold water or hot water, and it cannot be warm water anyway. The sofa in the guest room is made of fabric. The disadvantage is that you can't see whether it has lice or whether it is clean. Anyway, it is so old that people don't want to sit on it at all. The carpet is lint-free, which means it's "aged". Well, let's talk about the public area: the restaurant's production is still quite standard, with Michelin standards, whether it's dinner or breakfast... It's pretty good, but the quality of the coffee is not good. The service staff are warm, courteous, serious and smiling. There are several casual living rooms and even dining rooms in the indoor public area, all of which are luxurious, comfortable, freehand, and comfortable, and there is nothing to fault. There are a large number of areas in the outdoor woods and paths that need to be improved, such as greening projects. One last thing to add: parking is free. After all, the owner, Mr. Chai, is a Chinese from Southeast Asia. The land of the ancient castle covers an area of 5,000 acres... If parking charges are required... it would be too stingy. In general...you can say that it is an ancient European style, but I personally think that the ancient European style does not necessarily need to update or refresh the facilities and furniture. Especially with such a large area, if the greening is not done well... it really responds to the old saying "gold and jade are outside, and there is nothing in it".

It is a very old hotel, the hotel should be refurbished, just fine. However, there is no elevator, which is a bit inconvenient. The hotel is very tasteful. I feel that I can take a good look at the stairs. The windows all have a little history, but they are still clean. The toilet is very light, it is not bad. Because I saw the evaluation before going to the general, I felt that it was worth it. The restaurant is very good, the price is OK, the sirlion steak is super delicious, staying in the UK for so long, is the best sirloin I have ever eaten, I ordered the medium rare, superb, the chef is very good. Hey, I also saw the black cat in the hotel, very cute. It feels like a good experience, and the breakfast buffet is also excellent.
