1.67km from Frontera CocinaWe were scheduled to come to this Marriott Royal Palm Resort after my husband’s annual Panamanian reunion on Saturday, June 28. We have been coming to this resort for a week every end of June/July for the past three years. His reunion was cancelled, but we decided to still stay here. Our two daughters came on Friday afternoon to celebrate a late Father’s Day, so we paid for an extra night also. We put in a request for certain rooms, and we were given our first choice. The pool and hot tub area was calm at the required 50% capacity. No one was turned away. The entire two buildings were only at about 50% capacity. We requested more items two different times, and a bag with the items was brought within 30 minutes to our room. We were required to wear face masks when walking around outside and when in the front office area. All workers wore face masks, and were friendly, as usual. The workers were cleaning different areas every time we saw them. We felt very safe during this COVID-19 time. The front desk workers were friendly also. The landscape with its ponds is well maintained, and the interior of the rooms are aesthetic pleasing and comfortable. We brought enough food to cook or grill, so we never left the resort to eat. The grills were cleaned every day. We were able to walk to Saba Palms, but the large World Marriott seemed very out of place since it was closed, and the golf course was closed as well. We love the Marriott Royal Palm Resort; it is like an oasis away from home. We will be back again!
