There are definitely pros and cons to this hotel. It’s right on the riverside in an excellent location. There are a multitude of riverside restaurants right outside the hotel that come alive in the evening. Secondly, because it’s a 10-15 minute walk away from the town centre, it’s nice and quiet at night for sleeping. Thirdly, the hotel has a rooftop restaurant where they serve the breakfast buffet. The views from here, overlooking the Mekong, are beautiful. Fourthly, the rooms are quiet big from a square footage perspective and the bed was comfortable. Now for some areas for improvement. The bathroom was dimly lit, making it difficult to shave or do anything. The customer service is somewhat lacking. I stayed here twice, once at the beginning of my trip and again at the end. It’s was problematic communicating via email to arrange for the free airport pickup. They never responded back the first time so I had to take a taxi from the airport instead of getting a free pickup. Secondly, the breakfast, although adequate, could be improved. They did have an employee making fresh omelettes if you desired, but there was no meat like bacon or sausages. Not a big deal, but something for consideration. Most of the breakfast items were geared towards Asian customers, which is ok given their customer demographics. Notwithstanding the limited breakfast menu, however, the staff were friendly even with their limited English. As well, the view from the rooftop terrace while eating breakfast was amazing. All in all, I would definitely stay there again if the need arises.

We were in this hotel for two nights as part of a tour of Laos. Firstly this is a new(ish) hotel and should be good, it wasn't. The staff are not trained or able to communicate in English, German, French or any other language except perhaps Thai or Laos. Most of the staff appeared to be Thai so communication is very very difficult and must change if you are to service tour groups. The room was just configured wrong from the beginning. The bed head is up against the windows blocking the natural day light. The toilet and shower are two separate cubicles, both of which were fusty and smelly. The wash hand basin is in the room, so in fact you don't have an en suite bathroom you have cubicles that service and then a wash hand basin stuck beside the coffee making machine! The service at Breakfast was poor very poor, there was supposed to be a tick sheet on the tables to order a la carte. The first morning we didn't get it and the second morning the staff member went to a very poor buffet display and picked up stale croissants and opened a carton of juice and poured a glass - supposedly fresh juice! In the rooftop bar the service was awful. Again staff could not communicate to take orders. There were large groups ordering whisky by the bottles - yes and they were serving as if were wine, they people were so drunk they didnt know where they were. It was just horrible atmosphere. Transport ordered to bring us out - address supplied, the gave the wrong address to the driver. On and on it went. This hotel needs management, training and a team that can communicate. On the positive side this hotel has a beautiful and extensive range of wines which are in view in reception, investigation tells us the space is rented by a wine importer - they need to tell the staff how to serve the wine and understand the product they are proposing to sell, We served our own wine! This hotel is not cheap to stay at and it should be better. PS there is no view of the river from the front despite the marketing.

The hotel is located in Chinatown, close to the airport, and can arrange free airport transfers. These advantages have been mentioned by many friends, and there are no more. The point is, the assistant manager in the lobby at the front desk, a little Laos girl, smiling sweetly, was very patient and meticulous in consulting us about travel-related matters, and assisted us in arranging the vehicle. Feeling intimate! The Chinese TV in the hotel rooms, the automatic WIFI connection in the room, the sterilized plastic slippers in the room, and the waiters met on the floor can all send a smile from the heart and send a Chinese greeting. I am also a service industry, really Looking at the details in detail, I feel that I have reached a relatively high level in China. After the sun goes down, I wear plastic slippers and take my child to swim in the hotel's garden pool. The child is very happy. There is a rockery waterfall on the side. There is a beautiful red carp in the water. The kids don't want to go out for dinner. Thank you very much. Southeast Asia has traveled to several countries, and this Sanjiang Hotel has given our family the biggest surprise. There was no expectation at all. After all, the price is affordable. The surprise is that the hotel management, service, and hardware are excellent value for money. , Four-star hotel, three-star price, five-star service. Finally, in order to satisfy curiosity, I went to the main station to inquire. Sanjiang Hotel is managed by Hangzhou Good Jiangnan Hotel Management Company. It seems that it is really a professional matter to be done by a professional person, and I have the opportunity to visit and learn again. Take a picture, let's take a look together, highly recommended!

The environment, facilities, services, and hygiene were all very good. We stayed 3 days and 2 nights and booked airport pick-up and drop-off, both of which cost $ 20 a car, and looked at the hotel's schedule: $ 20 for pick-up Ford SUV is suitable for 2.3 people, as well as Jaguar cars and multi-person business cars. Forget how much it is, the cheapest is Ford SUV. There is a red Ferrari parked at the door for a long time, which is probably the owner of the hotel! Haha The overall service is very good, the health is very good, and the breakfast is rich. We had a good cocktail at the lobby bar at night, but the floor of the lobby bar kept vibrating and heating, and it was estimated that it was passing through the pipes. This is particularly uncomfortable. The five-star hotel should not be like this Yes, I hope to change it. The picture is very beautiful in the swimming pool. It ’s actually small. It ’s not easy to sit. It ’s been basking in the afternoon until the sun goes down. It ’s impossible to hea in the pool. It ’s too tan. I also ate some snacks and drinks in the small restaurant by the pool. Very big, everything is fine, that is, the day I left the hotel, I booked a hotel car in advance to the airport, and then there was time left. We went out for a stroll, and arrived at the hotel half an hour ahead of time to book the departure airport. Waiting, it was finally time for the departure. There was no employee to arrange our departure, so I waited another 5 minutes, or there was no employee to arrange for us, so I went to the front desk to ask, because then the Acetintin employees said something, Finally, an employee was arranged to drive us to the airport. This was not very satisfactory, and everything else was good.

I stayed at Capitol for two nights this week. The location is pretty decent with a minimart, internet cafe and a bunch of restaurants on the same street (Including a great burger place, Rays Grille 100m down the road) with everything you need. There are also a few tuktuks that sit near the hotel if you need one! I was doing a visa run and it was about a 10 minute tuk tuk ride to the embassy. It's about a 10 minute walk to the river front as well. The room was nice and very large with a comfy bed and good a/c. The staff were also really friendly and welcoming at check in and throughout my stay. The internet wasn't good in my room but I didn't really use it much so it wasn't a huge deal for me. Overall it's a really good value hotel for the price point (Much better then a lot of others for the same price) and I will definitely come back here next time.

Stayed here for 6 days. My double room was large with a wardrobe, dressing table, chairs, fridge... Pls note that there is no elevator here - based on my observation, staff may or may not offer to help with your luggage. When I checked in, the female staff did not show me to my room or offer to help with luggage but few days later when a Caucasian couple with 2 large luggage came, she offered help and walked them to their room. The room seemed clean but the floor was dusty - my feet were black from walking around after a while. Wifi is great and AC works fine too. There is free breakfast - mainly porridge with some meat (pork?), some buns and fruit with coffee, juice. Simple and functional. What is great: large rooms, large bed, great location near shops, night market and restaurants. Not so great: no lift, limited breakfast variety, stingy on toilet paper, construction works nearby One highlight was the really sweet staff - they try their best to get you what you need (my room had a wardrobe but no hangers) and are always smiling and considerate. Would recommend if you are ok with climbing stairs and have small luggage.

After the frenzy of end of semester tasks and a three day trip to get here, a place to just relax was our key objective for this part of our Laos tour. Lani's was perfect. Our room was beautifully reminiscent of a Graham Greene novel with a comfortable bed and an amazing bathroom. And then there was the balcony...pure joy. A view of the temple next door, lovely furniture, and even a fridge for keeping something cold to drink handy. Some afternoons we spent hours reading and talking there before venturing out into the neighborhood for something to eat. And this was never a problem as the location is within quick walking distance to a fabulous collection of eclectic restaurants. Our mornings with a bit more energetic with a boost from breakfast on the terrace. French press coffee, homemade jams and yogurt, and eggs made to order. The neighborhood begged to be explored and just wandering always brought new adventures. The building and grounds were full of details which conveyed the care and thoughtfulness of the owners. Lots of wonderful art both old and new. The staff were kind and attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We highly recommend this spot if you need tranquility in the middle of this beautiful city.

In the quiet alley, there is a night market stall to sell at the end of the lane (the kind that the locals eat). Not far from the restaurant on the street. Walk to the museum for about ten minutes. The room is small and the sanitation is OK. There is a small swimming pool on the 2nd floor. The pool is too small to have fun. The front desk can book a shuttle bus to Wanrong and a bus. Directly to the hotel to pick up, just a little more expensive than the travel agency on the street.

Stayed two nights here. Nothing too bad with the stay. The place was clean. The air con in the room was great. Warm showers, but not hot. Free coffee and tea all day. Only downside was that the beds were horribly uncomfortable and extremely squeaky. I felt bad rolling over because of the amount of noise that it made. Also got charged more for our second night stay because of some “festival” that we never saw or could find so that was a little weird. Overall good stay. But probably wouldn’t stay there again. Could easily find a place that included breakfast for the same price

The hotel has just opened, the location is better, the surrounding is quieter, it is suitable for lazy sleep, the front desk service is good, the Chinese and English communication is completely stress-free, the room is very large, I heard that it is one room and one hall, which is the largest in Vientiane. The young lady at the front desk helped to upgrade the lake view room for free. You can see the Taluang Lake not far from the room. The breakfast is also good. It ends at ten o'clock. It is suitable for people like me who can walk freely. The hotel also has a swimming pool. Spa and gym, the night view of the swimming pool is very good, the spa is also super cheap, it is recommended

It is said to be the best hotel in Vientiane. The hotel grade and room facilities are equivalent to the level of three or four-star hotels in the big county towns in China, matching the economic situation of Laos. The hotel facilities are a bit old, and the exposed wires in the room are damaged and visible. Breakfast is still okay, if you expect the level of domestic five-star hotels is not comparable, the front desk can only say a small amount of Chinese, communication is a little hard, taxi is very inconvenient to let the hotel call high-priced taxis, basically no Cruise taxis can be played, and there are often toot tricycles at the entrance of the hotel. There are many temples within 1 km of the surrounding area, and it is convenient to walk.

Unfortunately, we ended up here because the nearby hotel we booked ended up being overbooked and I was tired and didn't want to search much longer to find a suitable alternative after a long travel day. So, I didn't do my usual research and just settled here. Let me start with a few positives. 1. If you don't care about having Wi-Fi in your room, then this might be a decent budget option. 2. The staff are super friendly. The daytime staff speaks better English than the nighttime staff. 3. Location - centrally located with access to many good attractions & food options, including several outdoor food courts like Cowboy Park. 4. Incredibly hot shower. One of the best I've experienced in SE Asia. And now to the negatives: 1. No Wi-Fi in our room. It shows that there's a connection, but it doesn't really work. And we stayed on the second floor in the room closest to the lobby. So, if you need Wi-Fi, like we did to research our next locations, then you need to go to the lobby. At night, the lobby is full of mosquitos so I kept getting bitten while sitting in the lobby trying to research for our travels. 2. Yes, there's a mild stench near the bathroom of our room. It was tolerable, but every time we walked inside our room, you can smell the odor. 3. There's a TV in the room that doesn't work. No big deal since we're not visiting Laos to watch TV. 4. Bed is hard. Anyway, the only reason to stay at this hotel is if your #1 priority is a hot shower, good location, and you don't need Wi-Fi in your room. There are plenty of other options to consider before you end up here.

It’s quite an acceptable hotel. About 20 minute drive from the international airport. Pros: - Price is reasonable - 10 minutes walk to the embassy (great for visa runs) - I had to photocopy some documents and they did it for me at the lobby for free - Convenient stores and restaurants were accessible - Staff were good. They werent rude and when I tried to pay for an extra half day they tried their best to stay patient with me even though I was struggling to communicate with them due to currency exchange rates & language barriers - The rooms were decent. It seemed old but still good - Breakfast buffet was good. Had a selection of asian foods, Korean side dishes, tea, coffee, cereal, etc. Cons: - Housekeeping just comes in the room without even knocking.. which is invasion of privacy (and was really annoying). We tried to tell them to come back some other time but they didn’t get it. Neither was there any signage to put in our front door to tell housekeeping that we want to makeup our room or “do not disturb.” - Toilet wasn’t entirely dry when I first checked in. It was wet like someone just finished cleaning - Upon entering the room it was pretty clear they just didn’t bother to clean everything. You could see some dirt in the minibar and some webs on top walls. I do have some suggestion to improve the service. At least put the list of mini bar prices. I didn’t know until check-out. I didn’t even know what number to call the room service until I randomly dialed “0” and magically went to the reception. Btw room service number is 202 and either no one picks up or when they do, they don’t understand english. Not recommended for leisure. Just a decent hotel for visa runs.

I had mixed reservations about this place due to the reviews but many other hostels in Vientiane had reviews where guests had had things stolen whereas this one did not. However, I had only minor problems with the place and, as I didn’t really leave due to arriving late in the day on a bus from Vang Vieng, it wasn’t too bad. The few problems I had were: - the metal lockers under the beds. Even when padlocking them shut, the doors can be pulled open just enough to slip an arm in. Plus, if someone were to pull the bunk bed away from the wall, they could access the locker through the back as it wasn’t covered. It still gets five stars as even though the lockers were inadequate it didn’t affect me. Had I paid more money, I would have expected better.
