The price is cheap and the location is good! There are a lot of food around, and it’s close to Kakegawa Castle. The room is too small.

Stayed in August 2019. Business hotel located 5 minutes walk from the north exit of JR kakegawa station where the Shinkansen stops. The appearance and the room are clean and clean. Free wifi is complete and the communication speed is no problem. The toilet is complete with a washlet. There is a microwave oven and pot in the room. There is no safe. Check-in is 15:00~23:00. Check-out is 10:00. There are many restaurants around. Since the convenience store is the nearest to Lawson kakegawa station in front of kakegawa station north exit of kakegawa station, it is better to use it before going to the hotel from the station to the hotel. There is no private parking lot, so you need to use the nearby coin parking. It is very beautiful to see Kakegawa Castle, which is lit up from the front of the hotel. As a business hotel, it is a hotel without any special problems☆

The next day, I made a reservation at the deluxe single, but with the change of the schedule, I stayed at the ”stay to the room” plan the day before. Sure enough, the room is not able to hear the request here, and the room is a smoking room in front of the elevator on the 4 floor. The whole room, the bedding, smells of cigarettes. The view from the window is the building that will be kakegawa Jo castle across the residential area. The only thing that saved me was that the window was a little open.

I stayed at the Dormy Inn for 3 nights during the rugby World Cup. First let me state that there is very little to do in Kakegawa apart from visiting the castle, so if you are heading here as a tourist there are probably better places to stay. Back to the hotel ! I arrived a little early (around 12) and my room was not available , so I had to leave my bags in reception and wait until around 3pm to get my key. There was no issue with the language barrier. The hotel is not far from the station with a 10 minute walk along the main road getting you there. The room itself was average size for Japan, but the outlook from the window was pretty bleak onto a back alley. However, it was clean and comfortable there were no issues with the exception of the pillows which were rock hard. All amenities were available in the room although the sink being in the bedroom rather than the shower area was a little strange. The Wi-fi was perfect, but dont look for any English language station on the TV as there was none. In terms of restaurant, there is one for breakfast with a reasonable selection of both Western and Japanese food. I never saw it open during the day or evening. However, as a bonus it does open up around 9.30 in the evening with free ramen noodles for the hungry. Coffee is always available on demand in the foyer which is another good point. On top of the hotel is a typical Japanese thermal bath...great for the aches after a busy day ! All in all a good hotel for the price.....

〇 1 minute from the Shinkansen exit (image). Very close to the station. 〇 There was a curry and raw beer service at dinner. It was delicious. 〇 I was seriously working on the SDGs. 〇 Despite the cheap, breakfast included. 〇 comics were placed and read freely. 〇 The room is generally clean.

It is a comprehensive hotel from chapel to banquet hall. The fascinating Chicken Room style lobby and elevator hall are calm, and the front desk is also a local hotel. The oldness of the room is undeniable, but it is cleaned and maintained properly. Considering the free parking, the cospa is good and you can stay with peace of mind. The breakfast buffet is not much, but it is all over the place. I think if there is a little more local color, the melon was sweet and delicious. Thank you for the staff's gentle attention to some child running around at the breakfast venue. It was an elderly woman, but I was impressed with the response I knew. The facilities are old, but I think it is a good hotel that doesn't lose the name of the Grand Hotel. I also want to use it if I have a chance.

But it was difficult to use the toilet seat cold, the pillow smell, and the bathroom, but it was cheap, and bread and coffee seem to come out in the morning by service and I think it is a good hotel. This time, check out was 11 OK, so I was able to relax.
