Our family of 14 rented the entire villa (main house and 2 guest cottages) for a vacation on the Amalfi Coast. The outdoor area is spectacular with views of the Mediterranean on one side and the mountains on the others. It feels like you are in Disneyland, it is so perfect and filled with colorful flowers and lemons. There is a total of 7 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. All were adequate for our needs and the kitchen was well equipped. Not a huge living area inside, however, the weather was perfect and all of our time was spent outside on the terraces, in the pool, at the grill area and using the 3 outdoor showers. Plenty of room to spread out or come together. Angela, the cleaning person, who came 6 days per week, spoke English and was lovely. One of the owners, Salvatore, gave us fresh vegetables from his garden which we used to prepare an absolutely delicious meal for the entire group. The outdoor dining area easily accommodated all 14 of us for meals. The villa is a short distance from Amalfi, however, the walk is treacherous because of the narrow lanes. We did walk several times but you have to be very careful. There is a bus stop at the bottom of the villa steps (150 steps down to the street). It was inexpensive but did not always run on schedule. Also goes to Ravello, Positano and Sorrento. All in all - loved the Villa. Only warning - turn off the air conditioner when you leave, as you are charged extra for electricity and it is easy to go over the allotted amount.

We definitely felt lucky having chosen this lovely B&B overlooking the sea at Amalfi. This family run establishment is a hotel and there is also a full service restaurant, run by the same family. The suite gave us plenty of room and we had a nice little balcony with a table and four chairs to take in the beautiful scenery. They even had on site parking, which we needed for the rental car! The suite was very clean and the shower was fine. The AC was very good. The family that runs the place was fantastic. They were so nice and accommodating. They even let us borrow some beach towels for a few hours at the Amalfi beach. Breakfast every morning was special. They have a bright dining room with views of the sea. The mom cooks some wonderful homemade lemon cake. They have fresh fruit, eggs made to order, meats, cheeses, pastries, etc. Many ingredients come from their own gardens. It is located about 0.3 miles from the main village. Their is a closer beach, about 1,000 feet up the road, but you do have to go down 300 steps to reach it. It is also beautiful. In fact it is hard to look in any direction without being awed by the beauty of the place or be intrigued by some interesting aspect. I believe my wife booked on booking.com and it worked out great. However, the owners son told us as we were leaving - now that we know them - just call direct next time we are going to come!

The wife recently booked 4 nights in the Amalfi for an anniversary present for me. She chose this humble little resort at a very reasonable price. As many know the Amalfi can be very expensive but this B&B was worth every penny. The resort is based up in the mountain about a 10 minute drive into Amalfi Town. It is worth mentioning that when you arrive to Naples Airport, it is best to get a cab to Amalfi. We hired one but in hindsight, if you get in touch with the resort they will make the effort to pick you up from the airport at a reasonable fee. The bedroom we had was simple, clean and cosy, with air conditioning, TV, shower, toilet and a firm bed. We upgraded to the 'USA' room which had its own private terrace area, which is nice if you want to laze about. The B&B provide a buffet style breakfast, with homemade tomato relish, bread, croissant, ham, cheese, egg... It was plentiful and tasty. There are only 6 rooms in the resort so you never feel over crowded. We heard that the resort had a jacuzzi but we didn't use it as with our limited time we decided spending our time going out, and basically letting the food take us around the coast. The B&B provide a free shuttle service to Amalfi Town Square which runs up until 10pm. What made this holiday so incredibly personal and action packed was the staff. Nicoletta was very helpful and smiley every morning, it was a pleasure to wake up and say good morning to her. The manager Maria also is a wonderful lady, it is not often you find such a hands on owner that even makes the effort to introduce herself. Teresa was always on call when we needed picking up in the evening, and then there is Antonio. Antonio made this holiday for us eventful, he is contagious and you will make a good friend with him. Nothing is too difficult, and if you don't have an itinery, he will arrange one for you. He arranged taking us out of the tourist area to a classic restaurant and the food was amazing. He also arranged to take us to a village to do some authentic cooking, we had an incredible time and was introduced and looked after by wonderful friendly people. We were welcomed like family. Antonio goes out of his way to make sure you are happy and entertained, we can not thank the World Centre Resort enough. We will be back and will be booking our parents to comes and stay with you too.

The view out of our door was breathtaking. The room was quaint. The staff (Alessio in particular) was extremely friendly and helpful. We were even given the option of eating dinner there (for a very reasonable price). We took it and it was perfect. Between dinner and the included breakfast, we became friendly with the other guests. It was a lovely way to spend the one night we were on the Amalfi Coast. I've been reading a lot of reviews of B&Bs (we stayed in many on our trip) and I'm not sure what some people are expecting. You're not paying for a five star hotel. For the price, this one in particular is more that worth it.

The room had an amazing view, was clean and quiet. The location is not in the centre of Amalfi but you have a bus stop at the front door that can take you in 5 minutes to the city for about 2 CAD or you can walk really carefully for 25 minutes. We loved it because we were away from the noise and the crowds for this small town. We weren't sure about having our anniversary dinner in the hotel restaurant but we couldn't have been more pleased by the fresh taste of the fish, calamari, squid and pasta. They cook with their own organic ingredients which they grow on the terrace garden. The staff was amazing and really helpful. Thank you for your amazing food and hospitality

Ottimo tutto, staff, location e colazione. Ci ritornerei volentieri, saluti da Roma

We booked the 'Deluxe Room, Sea View' off expedia - 135GBP. Ok, not a stratospheric but not cheap either. I get it, Amalfi, sea view - I have seen north of 800 so perhaps I expect too much. Anyway, the problem was there was no sea view, ... actually there was no view at all from our room and I am not exaggerating. We spent hardly any time in the room for our one day stay so I was not that annoyed but if you booked say a two day romantic stay for your mrs that might get to you. Room tip: insist on *not* getting the room to the extreme right. The two rooms directly opposite reception will provide great views and the room to the left of reception has a view of Amalfi town plus sea but led privacy from the breakfast area. That said, everyone extremely helpful, nice, etc, etc. They go out of their way to may your stay comfortable and I would recommend this place provided you don't get our room. Very very small niggle easily fixed: shower needs a place for the soap gel bottles - otherwise room very comfortable. And without banging on about our room, I think the owner needs to be more realistic about what counts as a view and create a new category to rent our room under.

Villa Rina lived up to all expectations and really is a little corner of Paradise, where time stands still and you can just sit back and enjoy the views. Many steps, yes, but the scenery and smells along the way only add to the pleasure of living in the middle of a citrus grove, with lemons the size of melons! The villa is stunning and we fell in love with everything – from the orchards, olive and fig trees, to our airy room and cosy balcony, Thor the dog, Maxi the cat (a comically entertaining duo!), the wonderful breakfasts (try Rina's fig jam with croissant and cheese) and 6 course home cooked dinners on their terrace, all served on such beautiful crockery. I always want to stay somewhere small and authentic, traditional but personable, and this place delivers on every count. The set dinners are not to be missed, you won't taste home cooking anywhere like this down in the town and we ate in every one of our 3 nights (if only it could have been for longer!). My husband is already missing their anchovies and I will never be able to drink Limoncello anywhere else now, Rina's is simply the best. Rina is a very special lady indeed and has the dream team in Luba and the charming young Reneta. If you are looking for somewhere a little unique and off the beaten track, where you can enjoy life in the slow lane, then this is the place for you. We arrived as guests, but left feeling as if we had acquired a whole new Italian family....we will definitely be back!

Just a short walk from the middle of Amalfi and the sea front, this lovely little hotel is great for exploring the Amalfi coast. Buses and ferry’s leave from the sea front and take you to all of the towns and sights along the coast. If you are driving there is a parking garage almost right next to the hotel. The rooms are bright, airy and very clean whilst the staff are friendly and very helpful. Within 5 minutes of arriving we had a list of recommendations to visit and how to get there. For a more relaxing day there is an area to chill under the lemon trees by the pool. The walk in to town takes 5 minutes and then you have a good selection of restaurants to choose from.

We have just returned home from another great two weeks at the Grand Hotel Excelsior, Amalfi. Lorenzo and his wonderful staff never disappoint! From the welcoming smiles and hugs upon arrival, to the friendly interactions over the two weeks, to the hugs at goodbye time, we always feel most welcome at our “ second home “! We also never tire of the magnificent views and quietude the Excelsior has to offer. It is also wonderful to renew good times with our UK friends, meet new friends, and this trip, spend happy times with friends from home! As always, the charm of the Excelsior, our comfortable room, and the fine Italian cuisine make us return each year. We hope to make it 10 years in 2020! We also can’t forget the fine food, drinks, conversations and laughs in Pogerola at Maria’s and Benito’s Cocktail Bar! Who could ask for more! We are not going to start mentioning staff names because they are all special to us, but there are some who are extra special - you know who you are! Until next year, God willing, we can enjoy our memories until we make new ones! Ciao! Willa and Barry

Every member of staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They even indulged my halting attempts to speak Italian. The location is perfect, right at the end of the Main Street, looking uninterrupted onto the sea. The road below was busy with traffic and pedestrians. When we closed the door from the balcony at night (Saturday & Sunday nights) we could not hear a sound. The excellent AC and the comfortable, large bed meant two great nights' sleep. Breakfast on the terrace was very good. Because of COVID, you pre-order the night before. The breakfast staff were great and kept my coffee replenished. The room and bathroom were spacious and spotless. There is a fridge in the room. We will definitely stay here again.

We are a family of 5 ranging in age from 20's to 70's and were very concerned about hotels perched on the hillside with a long flight of stairs to navigate each time we went out. We wanted something where we could be in the heart of everything within a short walk. Terraza Core fit that description. We rented 2 rooms, one with a jaccuzzi, both shared a huge terrace overlooking the sea, the perfect place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine after a day of exploring the town. We could be at the Cathedral in less than 5 minutes. In addition it was extremely clean and had just been extensively updated. The proprietor, Luigi, even helped me arrange our transportation to our next stop, Rome. All in all one of the best places our group has stayed. If you are traveling with much luggage you may want to arrange for a porter to transport luggage to your room.

This was a great location to stay at in Amalfi. Right in the heart of the city so very close to restaurants and shopping. A market is underneath the hotel which makes it very convenient for snacks and water for the day. Only a few blocks from where transportation picks you up like buses. Very reasonably priced. The only complaint I would have is breakfast. While it is included, if you have to leave early for a tour, you won't be able to take advantage of this. We asked if it was possible to get some fruit or muffins to take on the go and were told no even while they were just sitting there on the counter. It would have been nice to grab something quick to take with us especially since the hotel is so small and there are only a few guests so it wouldn't have mattered. Other than that, great place to stay.

The hotel is in a good location, on the edge of the Amalfi Highway, about 10 minutes from the town centre or the port, very convenient. The room is very beautiful, we booked a sea view suite, the balcony is on the cliff, the window is the blue sea, very cool! The hotel sent a welcome champagne, sipping a fragrant cake, looking at the blue sky, white clouds and the sea, intoxicating. The hotel was originally a monastery, so the layout is very chic.

We couldn't speak highly enough of our apartment. Our room was in the heart of the town, 5 min walk from the bus terminal, and our host Paola helped us with everything we needed. She organized for us to attend a free tour of the town with local host Michelangelo, who left us feeling a sense of connection to the town which beforehand we knew about. Our newly refurbished apartment, including brand new bathroom was VERY clean - something that's a high priority on my list. Even though we were in the heart of the town we didn't have any noise so we had a lovely sleep. We would definitely recommend this accommodation and would love to come back ! Thank you ! :)

This was our final stop for 2 nights after our visit to Sorrento and Capri for my fiancé’s 50th birthday. As soon as we arrived we were accompanied into reception and luggage taken by the porter to be sent to our room. Check in was easy and staff were welcoming. We were shown to our room and were then treated to some fresh strawberries and chocolate. We also had 2 complimentary bellinis, I would recommend them! We had the sea view room (40) and if you can upgrade to this room I strongly recommend it. The view is amazing. There is a shuttle bus that takes you into Amalfi until midnight. We used this facility often and it’s definitely a benefit as you are away from the hustle and bustle of the town but can visit any any time during the day. Breakfast was continental buffet or hot food made to order. The bar area was lit by candles at night and was very pretty. We treated ourselves to full body massages at the spa on our last day, pre booking is recommended. Andreina de risi was an amazing masseuse. We asked for a medium strength massage with lemon oils to loosen our tired muscles from walking. If you are looking to unwind, I would definitely recommend it! We also visited the main restaurant for our last meal and we were definitely not disappointed. With a pianist in the corner of the restaurant creating a romantic and relaxed atmosphere. The staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. We had the chateaubriand and was not disappointed. The room was cleaned a couple of times throughout the day and slippers and water on the side of the bed left by the maids at night. We never got to use the pool area as we didn’t have the best of weathers but we did take some pictures and can see it being a great place to relax in the heat. If you are considering a luxurious stay in Amalfi, this is the hotel to be. Thank you Santa Caterina.

We stayed at Villa Lara for 8 nights during our honeymoon in late September and could not have asked for a better stay. Even before arriving, the staff was very helpful in providing frequent communication and information regarding the transportation to the hotel from the airport (we flew into Rome). Every morning we were greeted with a delicious breakfast from Luca and Nello along with some advice for what to do if we didn’t have anything planned. The hotel staff were always extremely warm and welcoming to us. Luca went above and beyond giving us not only entertainment in the form of interesting conversations about our trip, but also with the beautiful bottle of Limoncello he got for us for our special occasion. The room itself was perfect. We loved the hot tub and the view. The lighting was cool too. It was romantic and had a spacious bathroom. The view of breakfast was great. We loved that the Villa is atop a cliff in Amalfi - it’s a great experience walking down the steps. Luigi was there to greet us upon our return each night and always had a good restaurant recommendation. We were incredibly sad to leave but even on the last day, Luca let us keep our things in the room after checkout so we could enjoy a half day on the Amalfi beach. Every moment of our honeymoon was unforgettable, thanks in part to the wonderful experience we had at Villa Lara.

We enjoyed a night at DieciSedici. Carmen was very helpful and friendly. She was the best part of our experience there. The room was as advertised, very clean, and quite a nice renovation on the inside. Good bathroom and bed, so in that sense it is high end and quite nice. It isn't really like a grand hotel, but rather a collection of converted apartments on a corner of a piazza near the lungo mare. It was quiet, which is good. It is worth noting that there was not much of an internal part of the hotel, like lobby, or bar, or shared guest area. When selecting the hotel, we saw good reviews about the breakfast, and were disappointed to find that restaurant was temporarily closed due to a family emergency. Carmen Kindly refunded us the price difference, which was appreciated, so that we could go to another location and buy breakfast. In the morning to return the key, we what's apped Carmen, and left it with a young lady who was waiting out front to start her days work. She was very nice, but I wasn't all together comfortable with leaving a key with someone on the street. Carmen confirmed that this young lady was staff, so it wasn't a problem. The hotel was kind enough to watch over our bags for the day whilst we went boating, so that also was appreciated. All in all nice people and a clean comfortable room. Not much else as far as extra's or anything notable.

Vincenzo, his mama Lidia, and their team including Sergio exceeded our expectations! The rooms were lovely, especially the tile! The location of the hotel was extremely central, yet when you closed the windows/doors and wooden shutters, all was silent for sleeping. The views from the rooms were great, as well. The attention we received from exceptional! Lidia treated us like her own grown up children and touched base with us every time we walked or down the stairs past the lobby! She always wanted to know what we were up to! The family's restaurant (out the door and to the right 2 minutes) was delicious! Vincenzo's sister took excellent care of us for our meal there! Other friends in our group ate their multiple times - we highly recommend! And the breakfasts - ahhh the breakfasts on the top floor (eat inside or outside on the terrace in sun or shade) were to die for! A terrace selection of foods and Sergio and a young lady (we didn't learn her name) delivered up fried eggs and lattes to our crew upon request every morning! We miss those breakfasts! Thank you so much for a delightful stay! We are so thankful we stayed with you!

We drove to this property. Upon reaching the town we had the police stop us and we advised where we were staying. He radioed someone and we then proceeded to the Garage which is a fair way up the street - when you think you have gone too far keep going! They were expecting us. The luggage service was also called, so they collected our bags which we had within 10 mins of checking in. The process was outstanding! We were greeted warmly and checked in. Our room although looking a little dated in its styling was immaculate. The owners obviously take great pride in their hotel and it shows. Their dining room is great which serves a nice breakfast. The bed was comfortable, the shower worked well but the aircon didn’t cool so well in room 5. The location is right in town but is not noisy. There is a lift which saves you from walking up more stairs. Lots of restaurants nearby. If you are driving make sure you get clear instructions on the opening/closing times of the street and pay attention to the traffic light part way up on the right hand side. I would certainly recommend this lovely hotel for anyone wishing to stay in Amalfi.

Stayed here for a week with two friends. We had a comfortable room for three, with a mountain view. We loved the relaxing atmosphere and privacy from the busy walking street above. Breakfast was great with many options and a possibility to eat on the outside terrace was amazing! What a breathtaking views! We had a car for few days, which can be tricky in Amalfi ( parking is expensive in most of the cities and the distances are short) next time we will invest into a nice boat trip instead! Hotel co operated with a parking service ( 20€ per day) which was really easy and safe. Parking Gorga guys were amazing and helpful! If you're uncomfortable with driving on narrow streets, dont come with a car since the path to the hotel goes through a walking street 😅

My family and I just recently stayed at Casa Mao in the Amalfi coast and we loved it! Although I was nervous about having to climb 160 steps in order to reach our room- it was worth it. We probably had the best room which was a two story apartment. We had two balconies with killer views and an amazing view into the valley from our bathroom. The room was clean and well maintained. The owner Gianfranco was amazing. He made us all feel at home. He was helpful in making suggestions about to how enjoy the area but most importantly, he was kind and sincere and you could tell he took pride in his establishment. I would definitely go back. If you are driving to the coast be aware that there is a parking fee as well as a luggage service fee (if you have a lot of luggage, you would want to use this). Neither are cheap - only downfall. But other than that - fantastic place to stay.

5 days with no Wi Fi and this hotel promotes free Wi Fi on their website and gets better first day I check in, was given the Wifi password. Was told her phone worked but mine didn't very suss. Had every right to be. 2nd day a different person told me there was a problem outside of the hotel. Just so you know their private internet works fine because their eftpos , their printer, and laptop worked fine. But forget Wifi! Floors were filthy, I had to wash my feet before getting into bed. I could only open 1 door on my balcony and air conditioner wasn't that great. My overall experience was a let down as I had limited contact with my family and I was traveling solo. The big shower head was covered in mould needs to be replaced. Have to hold shower head to wash. Biggest gripe no safe in the room, only provided a lock draw with key and a wonderful sign out the front that states we are not liable for thefts in the room. I didn't have any issues but feel safer with a safe. 100 steps and its tough on the first day with luggage so small cases are best. My view from my room was beautiful and the bed was comfy. If looking for a place to put your head then this is it. Wasn't fussed on breakfast but it's food that is part of your stay If you can't live without Wi fi for 1 week forget it.
