Hotels Near Gadikal Bus Stop In Chikkamagaluru Review

I agree with some of the fellow reviewers here - there were several things which need improvement: Infrastructure was sub-standard - - Only water in a jug. No electric kettle in the room either. This is basic. - No table/bench in the room to keep luggage on. You have to leave the luggage on the floor. - No intercom/phone in the rooms. So if you need anything from the front desk, God help you. Especially given that outside slim JIO connectivity, no other provider network is available. The only flip side was that the service was good. Staff are excellent, attentive, extremely courteous and helpful. So even in the absence of phone, we found someone always at hand with whom we could communicate and send requests. Food quality/taste were also good. TV had some channels but most times it wouldn't work. But then, hopefully you are not visiting the property to watch TV - it does help with keeping the kids engaged for a little while though. They had Wifi in the dining area which (I understand) is much better than other resorts/estates in this area who have no connectivity at all. They were also renovating the place when we went - hopefully it will get better.

This review is almost an year overdue. Stumbled on this listing again and felt it was definitely worth another trip soon. We were taken by their tagline ‘do nothing’ while booking. The entire setting is a welcome break for a relaxing getaway. Girish and his wife are very thoughtful hosts. The place is cosy, the view and ambience is pleasant. Not to mention their wide variety of home cooked delicacies. We were originally scheduled in August, but unfortunately the trip had to be called off last minute due to floods in that region. Girish was very accommodative and offered to reschedule the trip once transportation was available. We were so glad when we finally made it to the place in September. It was definitely worth the wait.

View from the hotel rooms are beautiful. Perfect for a family stay. On the way to hornadu makes it convenient to get to places. Hosts are welcoming and the housekeeping staff are really helpful. They also arrange for various treks and sight seeing.

I visited Naturecraft Homestay on 1st Nov and totally loved it. We reached at 3pm and Mr.Ansar was not around, so he told his lovely daughter to open the cottage for us. We rested for a while and then by 5pm came out of our cottages looking for some coffee or tea. Mr. Ansar's wife served us some hot coffee, which was one of the best coffee's I've ever had. The food was delicious. We were served Biryani, mutton curry, pulao for dinner. And Omlette, upma, vermicelli for breakfast. The location is great, if you love nature. Mr. Ansar was a great host and even helped us when we were stuck in a difficult situation near the Mullayanagiri peak. The USP of this place would be Mr. Ansar's St.Bernard named Poker. He's an amazing dog, who shows affection towards all the guests. Long story short, it was a great experience. Small suggestion: it would be nice to have some hot water for bathing in the evening as well. I've had the firewood geyser at my native place and i know it's a little troublesome to carry out the entire process. But I'm sure Mr. Ansar will take this comment positively. 😊😊 Thank you for the hospitality!!

Okay, I have to be frank with this review - there are very few places in this region which are close to perfect in every aspect, and this is one of those. Ashwini was very accommodative when we group of 3 couples wanted to book the place on a weekend, enquired about our needs and we made a token advance online. Very smooth booking process The place is listed accurately on google maps and there is a good quality tar road all the way up to the gate of the property. Even low vehicles will have no trouble reaching this place. Parking facilities are adequate in the front porch / yard and safe. The rooms are clean, spacious and airy with multiple windows overlooking the estates adjacent. The bathrooms are clean and well equipped with hot water through the day as needed, just need to inform the staff and they will start the firewood boiler. All 3 cottages are adjacent to each other and overlook a small lawn where a bonfire is put out in the evening. The dining area opposite the cottages is also well equipped with all the necessities and even has some indoor games for folks to keep themselves busy. Food was lip smackingly delicious in whatever they served us through the 3 meals we got to experience there. Ashwini is a really good chef and you have to be there to experience the food taste. She mostly serves local delicacies but also keeps enquiring with guests if we are comfortable with the items of the next meal and any changes needed, etc. There are some nice coffee estate trails to explore around the Homestay and she knows some more local places to visit around there, for those who love exploring. All in all, this place is highly recommended, I would give this place a 5/5 rating for exceeding expectations on almost everything and making it a flawless experience for us. Thanks Ashwini and team for the hospitality :) looking forward to visit your place again.

This is my second visit to this resort. We were a group of 20 members, each one of us felt satisfied and happy with the Services rendered by the resort team. Rooms are well maintained, clean and tidy, worth the price paid for (We stayed in Cottages). Its inside a Coffee plantation away from any kind of disturbances, you can just stroll around the property, enjoy the silence and hear the chirping of birds. Each one of the resort staff are helpful always. The Kitchen team has improved a lot when compared to my earlier visit, 2 yrs back. The Menu has been upgraded, the food taste and flavor is pretty decent , awesome and yummy. Complimentary Breakfast Menu is also decent not lavishly spread, it would have been a feather on the Cap if they had included a local cuisine, at least one item. Pool area is another beautiful spot wherein you can unwind yourself during evenings with Campfire and snacks. Rain Shower area is an added attraction. Overall, I would surely recommend this resort for others travelers and would surely visit again in future to experience the natural surroundings and hospitality rendered by the Resort team.

We stayed there for about two nights in this property and it turned out to be awesome. The property is well maintained by the couple Shreedev and Susmitha .The advantage of this property is that only limited rooms so you will have your absolute me time, beautiful view, spacious area in and around the resort, you can indulge yourself in an estate walk.To add on, the delicious and hygienic food prepared by the courteous staff. The staffs are a real plus to this place, their smiling approach towards you makes feel like you are at home. The living space is the highlight which is absolutely a bliss to watch the foggy morning sitting in your place. The proprietor Mr. Shreekar is really friendly and helpful.I must not miss to say that they have three beautiful pet dogs and they are so friendly. We could be at ease during our stay though we are not pet friendly.Overall we had an awesome and super comfort stay at wood way estate.

This is what i would like to say about this lovely homestay, it is a home away from home. You feel at home here and the hosts Ashok and his wife go all out of their way to make your stay very comfortable. There are two places you should not miss when you visit saklespur. Trek to Yettina bhuja and Trek to devara***e,You have to experience this place if you love treks and naure. We were a family of 7 who visited this place and have very happy memories. The night sky is not to be missed even though people out there don't understand why we bangaloreans care so much about the night sky.So if you are looking for a break from phones, work and pollution free atmosphere. They have a *** made pool be sure to take your swim suits.

SilverShine Homestay is just 7 kms from Chikamagaluru and is located right next to a coffee plantation which belongs to the Homestay owners. The owner family is a warm and hospitable family which goes out of its way to make you comfortable. The lady of the house takes great trouble in preparing for you meals that have local flavours or, if you want, to suit your taste. If you are not fond of spices and chillies, do mention to her and she will make sure you get food to your taste. The rooms are comfortable and there is a wood-burning boiler arrangement to provide for hot water. The construction is only 2 years old and is in an excellent state. There is ample parking space. There are only two rooms on first floor for the homestay and the family stays on the ground floor. This Homestay is an actual home stay as contrasted with ***y others which have ***y rooms and lack a personal touch by the home stay providers.

This is one place which will remain etched in my mind forever. The path leading up to this serene place is simply out of a movie. There is beautiful greenery all around, surrounded by mountains. The chirping sound of birds was a welcome way to greet mornings during vacations. Awesome food!! Me and my office colleagues visited this homestay. Without doubt its the best homestay I have stayed so far! Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the host. The family was extremely friendly. We spent great evenings here, with bonfire & coffee which obviously added up to the experience. Shilpa is an amazing lady & very down to earth person and will take care of your each and every need. The service, ambience, food and hospitality can't be found in a 5 star hotel. I was treated just like friend over my entire stay. Maybe one of the ***y reasons I will be back and very happy to recommend. Note, this is not a 4/5-star hotel or so, but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for Shilpa & her team of nutties, who do a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality! Thank You Shilpa & family, Looking forward for our next visit!!

GREAT STAY AND AMAZING PLACE TO RELAX!! STUNNING IN ONE WORD. Everything, from hospitality to comfort, food, ambience . Loved the place and enjoyed our stay. Room was outstanding. Sound of bulbuls chirping and such serenity and beauty . You get a great view from your room. The front desk staff were all very professional and pleasant. All of them were lovely and very efficient.. Would like to especially commend the services rendered by Mr Naseem who was very courteous and conscientious of meeting our needs. I had a specific requirement as I was not very well physically and had to get a nurse to attend to me. Naseem had taken personal care and effort to arrange one who had to come all the way from the town twice. I don’t think any other resort would ever go that extra mile to make their customers stay at their property as comfortable as this. It was very touching indeed. I would like to thank him from the bottom of my heart and he is truly an asset to Trivik hotels and resorts .. I would like the ***agement to acknowledge the same. Greatly enjoyed the coffee nature walk led by Mr Karthik . Very well informative about the coffee plantations and various other plants and flowers in the estate.. plus the complimentary coffee and games. In the night there was bonfire with mocktails .. All part of the room rates. The whole minibar was complimentary. You are just spoiled if you are at TRIVIK .. I ve been an avid traveller in India and abroad. Stayed at all 5 star resorts .. but I haven’t had this experience anywhere else. The ambience, the experience, the food, the service. All 5 . This has become my top one destination place for my weekend getaways from now on. I was confused between Serai and Trivik earlier. I think I made the right choice. Lots of love and success to the Trivik Hotels & Resorts. Keep up the good work. ❤️

Location is amidst coffee plantation. If you are getting your own car call the resort owner after reaching the location (don't take your car up till the resort- since it is quite bumpy ride). They will arrange for the pickup from the entrance of the resort. Food (vegetarian) was awesome. They gave us all three meals complimentary with evening snacks and unlimited coffee. Taste of coffee was very good. We got the last room with private sit out and bon fire area. The room had two double bedroom, neat and clean. Toilet was clean with hot water facility. Mulyangiri peak is just 17km away (30min). We went there in the morning. Overall a very satisfying and good stay. Remember there are no place for any kind activity. While the plantation space is very big, stay area is quite small and cozy.

I usually dont give away poor ratings, but this place really needs one. The rooms we were provided with were dripping water from the roofs, bathrooms weren't clean and were stinky. On complaining the room was just mopped and we were told that the dripping has stopped and later offered another room which was a bit better compared to the first one. But thats not a good hospitality. The food was just fine, was really bad for vegetarians with no option at all. Coffee of this bad standards was least expected at a place like chik***gluru. Overall a very very bad experience. Food- 2/5 Cleanliness- 2/5 Location- 3/5 Hospitality-1/5 Cost-1/5
