I travel to Brussels once or twice a year and this was my first time staying at the Manos Premier Hotel. The location is good, with some cute shops and a nice selection or restaurants in the area. It is not far from the shops on Avenue Louise. The first floor common spaces are beautiful, from the lobby to the breakfast room. The breakfast buffet was very good. The staff was always very accommodating. My room, was a bit of a disappointment. Very tiny and dark. I don't mind the tiny part, but when I can't see well, it is a problem. For instance, the large lamps on the bedside tables had black shades, which contributed to the lighting problem. Plus the window was frosted and added no natural light. There wasn't a secondary lock or chain on the door, which made me a bit nervous, but the elevator is controlled via a medallion attached to the room key so I guess that provides a level of security. I would try this hotel again because of the charm and excellent staff, but would definitely request (and pay for) a larger, brighter room. Most of the staff spoke very good English.

Stayed here Saturday night while attending a party in Brussels , an excellent en suite room spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. You had your own access to the building and your room a truly novel idea. Located very centrally in Brussels, we met the host the following morning and were served a delicious continental breakfast. Nice places to stay if attending something in Brussels or want a bigger space to explore the city . Totally suited for extended corporate travelers as well

We stayed here recently after deciding on a last minute trip to Brussels so our accommodation options were limited. My husband researched the area of St Gilles and determined it to be one of the trendier districts. I would disagree completely after our visit and I won’t be trusting him with these kind of decisions again. We walked to the hotel from the Zudi train station. It was a horrible walk with suitcases mainly uphill on cobbled streets with very little around to take interest in. Porto Hal metro was around 8 mins away so it wasn’t a bad walk downhill. At night we would rent scooters to take us home. When we arrived at the hotel we had a quick and friendly check in. We were told our room was on a specific floor and the lift was broken. When we carried our own luggage to the room we must have walked up 8 flights of narrow uneven stairs. The room wasn’t accessible as the cleaners were there and our first impression of the stairways was that it was run down and in need of repair. There were bleach stains all over the carpet, footprint bleach stains and spillage like stains. So this was clearly all down to carelessness. Our room appeared to be spotless. Crisp linen. Two single beds pushed together to form a double. I personally don’t mind this but my husband hates it. We had some very comfortable sleeps. Once again the carpet was in need of replacement. The bathroom was modern, clean apart from the toilet that had the previous guests last deposit still floating about. The shower was amazing. They don’t supply a lot of toiletries. There’s a dispenser with shampoo, two small bars of soap and one glass. We figured that we had probably rushed the cleaners out of the room quickly by landing outside. But the following day we didn’t get an extra glass. The hairdryer was superb. The room was dark with the curtains open. But we had a comfortable stay as I said apart from being woken to the maintenance men fixing the lift beside our room early in the morning. Also these rooms are not soundproof like they specify. We didn’t have breakfast. €15 each is extortionate to be fair. We asked for recommendations for somewhere to eat the first night. We were told to head out and walk and we would find something. I don’t think we ate for two hours after that because the directions were so bad and there was nothing great nearby. I wouldn’t stay here again purely because I feel it’s a bit out of the way. The hotel needs some updating. I usually like to stay in quieter neighbourhoods if the hotel gets amazing reviews but this one didn’t really do it for me.

My husband and I arrived in Brussels with no hotel reservation. We found this hotel on Tripadvisor. The location is great...near all the tourist sites (palace, market square, etc). The room was modern, stylish, clean. VERY QUIET hotel! Not on a busy street but close to everything. Nice shower! The breakfast was terrific too. And the pool looked great. We enjoyed the 24-hour coffee machine. It was a great experience! Would definitely stay there again. Employees VERY helpful and friendly!

I was in the green room at the top of La Maison Haute. Comfortable bed with crisp white linens and nice towels - always good to have! The room is spacious and has all amenities. I found the lighting in the room interesting but a bit unsuitable for working/reading but used the lounge area instead so it wasnt a problem. Breakfast in the small white dining room feels cosy and products are good quality - fresh orange juice, coffee, tasty bread, lovely jams and because I'm vegan Sebastian served some sweet tomatoes and cucumber with olive oil and pepper, which was delicious. I loved going through the soap shop too - the aroma of the soaps wafts up to the rooms. The BnB was easy to find and flexible with check in. The area itself is full of independent and arty shops and is well positioned to walk to many places in the City. Highly recommended if staying in Brussels.

Location was great! I will comment that the hosts manage to sort some confusion over the bed numbers quickly (thank you), although I do feel it was a little begrudgingly. The apartment was nice and spacious. Disliked · I didn't like the bits of food that were left in the fridge from the last person. The kitchen was ill equipped and the dishwasher was out of order and I think (looking at other reviews) this has been the case for months. The apartment appeared relatively clean on the surface, but behind doors, under furniture etc it was quite bad. The kettle and the shower head were very nasty with limescale. The whole apartment was tired and could do with a refresh. I would not call the apartment comfortable at all, there was not a single chair in the place that was comfortable to sit on for a period of time. We were also quite shocked when we discovered the mattresses were wrapped in clingfilm. Towels were small and scratchy and it was like daylight in our room at night..blackout curtains would be a nice touch. I will talk a little about the noise, we stayed over new year. Yes it was very noisy, we knew it would be before we went but the location made up for that. When we didn't know was that coupled with the noise the room would be so bright with the curtains closed. I had read some reviews and the boilerplate responses from the hosts 'it is as described' or 'you are in the middle of the city', but what I don't understand is why do that not think of some nice touches for the guests? If they know their guests are going to be troubled by noise, put a couple of pairs of earplugs in each room, perhaps!? Little touches like that make a whole world of difference to the guests, it says that you are aware of the issues, there is nothing you can do about it, however here is something from us to help minimise the problem for you. The final disappointment was having to drag our luggage around on departure day despite being told we could leave this at their office......which we discovered was closed when we got there!! They are very strict on your exiting the apartment before the advertised time but we were then left high and dry once we were out. Thank heavens for bagbnb.com

I couldn't face yet another chain hotel in Brussels so decided to go for comfort, location and cosiness for a 2 day stay. It's like staying at a friends house, cute room and a spotless bathroom. Lovely clean bedding, breakfast by room service. Secure wifi and good range of tv stations. Bathroom had shampoo/shower gel and soap plus a full size hairdryer. I was prepared for the noisy street due to the location, but it died down after 11pm. Woke up a couple of times in early morning due to noisy people outside, but otherwise v quiet at night. Not sure how this would be in summer as there is no air con but it was warm and toasty during very cold nights. The staircase is VERY narrow, literally the width of your shoulders. So not suitable if you have mobility issues. It's seriously easy to access via metro, just a short walk and follow the signs for the Manneken Pis. It's diagonally across from the statue. If you're traveling by Eurostar then catch any line 3 or 4 metro train that's going towards Gare du Nord and get off at Bourse (3rd stop). There's an Irish O'Reilly's pub outside the Bourse metro entrance, you might find it easier to use this in Google Maps to find your way back there as the streets are very old and winding.

Great location away from the tourist hoards but only a short walk from the Bourse. Delightful, fully refurbished, old Merchants house. Really quiet, exactly as required. Staff were fabulously friendly and accommodation exceeded expectations. Rooms are themed by local artists much like Bloom Hotel but not on an industrial scale. Each room is unique and our stay in Hidde van Schie for 2 nights was perfect. No TVs so disturbance from blaring speakers was non-existent. Clean, spacious with wonderfully quirky touches, courtesy of the aforementioned designer/artist. Breakfast in the cosy eating area was delicious. Organic teas, fresh baked goods, cheese, cold meats, fruit, yoghurt and muesli, eggs to order. In other words, just what you need for the perfect start to a day's activities. Would we stay again? Absolutely. In fact, it will definitely be our Brussels go-to accommodation in the future. 15 mins gentle walk from Central Station but easily accessible by cab from Gare du Midi and there is also off street parking available.

The location is perfect, close to Central Station and Grand Place. This time, what was sought for the inn was location-first, not the quality of the room. However, it was a family trip and it was my first trip to Europe for my family, so I chose this hotel because I wanted to choose a hotel with a good service that was safe. However, in the double room, there is only one bathrobe and slippers, it will not be brought unless you call the front desk twice, the mug provided in the room is dirty, the mug we used is the next day After cleaning, the tissue was left untouched. Even if only one tissue remained, it was not refilled. I don't think this is a five star hotel service.

We only stayed here for 2 nights, so it was great for what we needed. The apartment was spacious and really cleverly styled. We loved the red theme. It was a bit strange that the bathroom was down the hall, but it didn’t bother us. Everything was modern and clean. The curtain rod hit us on the head once, but other than that it was very comfortable. Location is a bit of a way out, and it took us a while to work out the best way to get around. But it was fine for our needs. There is a supermarket just up the road for water etc and a laudromat close by as well. The staff were great downstairs. Oh - just be aware the staircase up to the red room is very very steep. Quite the workout with luggage

This is a former townhouse which is beautifully appointed, high ceilings and wooden floors. We had Room 3 (Balcon) which was a Large room with a very nice En Suite with very good shower. Comfortable bed. Small balcony to look out on the street. Coffee and tea facilities in the room. Very good breakfast, the kitchen/dining room is communal with an adjoining sitting room. There is a woman there doing the serving, making coffee, freshly squeezing orange juice, cooking omelettes to accompany the fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, bread & pastries. With full occupancy breakfast can be a little bit crowded if everyone arrives in similar time. It is a 12 minute walk to the Grand Makt/ Grand Place. No breakfast if checking out before 8am, though I think if between 7:30-8:00 you can take away pastries.

Having read some of the negative reviews I was in two minds whether to book here or not, especially with regard to the comments regarding air conditioning! Yes, the rooms are somewhat dated, and very much a throwback to the 1980's, but mine was spotlessly clean, quiet, and a good size for a hotel close to the centre of Bruxelles. There is no air conditioning in the building, but the windows do open and a fan was supplied as standard which brought the temperature down to a reasonable level for sleeping. Reception was open on arrival at 23:20, and the night porter was very amiable, explained how the entry and exit self-service system worked, and showed me to the (well hidden) free guest parking. Breakfast was basic continental, but more than adequate. I certainly would stay here again if I had to visit Bruxelles on my own; my family might want something a bit more fancy!

I could not get rooms anywhere else due to some huge conference, so was not sure what to expect here. In fact it is quite good! Rooms are as described elsewhere: clean, large, comfy beds, etc. Worst part was low water pressure in the shower but of course manageable. Very well located and friendly helpful staff who also arranged for a friendly and inexpensive (by Brussels standards) taxi to the airport. In short, would stay here again and recommend to others.
