First we were suppose to be accommodated in different room - the one I choose in the picture at booking.com. There was nobody in the reception - I went there twice. Phone was not working. So then we decided to went outside and rang the bell - so we basically lured the receptionist from his hideout. We had to wait one night and then they moved us, but if we wouldn't say anything nobody would take care of it or apologise for it. There were also missing slipers in the room - next day we got flip flops - not really nice if you are staying there in winter. The whirlpool smelled like a sewer first time we wanted to used it - just disgusting. There was also a lot of noise not only coming from the street thru the windows, but we could hear our neighbours as well. I put a few dirty towels on the floor to be collected by cleaning lady - I found out she just folded them and put between the others we were still using. During five days we got shampoo and shower gel only once. Last day when we were leaving we asked for the taxi to the airport - the receptionist told us that probably they will be busy - he didn't check anything just said this - when we went there back to picked upt our suitcases we asked him again and he said there is no taxi today :D - he could at least try to call other company or whatever. For the money I have spend and considering the fact it is 4 stars hotel - I was expecting much more better service and at least some good will and an effort to make your clients happy.

We stayed on 1st August and I emailed the hotel in advance to let them know I had booked this as our first night in Italy as a surprise for my partners birthday. We also arranged for the hotel shuttle service to collect us from the airport. I would highly recommend this if arriving from into Pisa Airport, as stepping out the airport with luggage, into a lovely air conditioned car taking you straight to the hotel was just perfect and totally stress free! On arrival at the hotel we had been upgraded to a suite which was beautiful. Separate living area from the bedroom and a huge bathroom with jacuzzi bath tub and double sink. The hotel had left a note to say happy birthday to my partner and welcomed us down to their bar for a complimentary glass of prosecco. We had a few drinks on the beautiful terrace of the hotel. The staff were all so lovely and everything was so well organised within the hotel and so clean, I felt very safe especially visiting during Covid-19. Breakfast was delicious, fresh coffee and orange juice and delicious panini with cured meats and cheese. Overall a beautiful clean hotel (hand sanitizing stations everywhere, staff wearing masks and perspex glass up at reception), perfectly located within 5 minutes from many restaurants and bars, and 5 minutes drive from the airport. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel so welcome!! Grazie mile, we will definitely be back :)!!

Spent 4 nights here & I have not one complaint, Yes it’s old! May I say, I’m very happy that the modernisation is at a minimum, it’s very clean, breakfast is adequate & it’s location is just right. A little cold at night but plenty of spare blankets in the room, such big rooms would be impossible to heat with modern heating let alone the old cast iron radiator with 2” pipe work The staff are all excellent & very helpful , give it a go, you won’t regret it if you like “ oldie worldie “

I have been coming to Italy every year for 10 years. When I first went to Pisa this is where I stayed. I was treated like royalty and the price you can not beat! My room had a terrace overlooking the river. This is on the 3rd floor but there is a lift/elevator. You can walk from the train station in less than 20 minutes. The train easily takes you to the Mediterranean sea or to Florence. This is the place to stay. The price you can not beat. There is espresso, juice, and croissants. The hosts are fluent in Italiano and English. Your room is cleaned every day. If you ask for "Jenn's room" that is me, you will have to share a bathroom but no real problem. They may have rooms with their own bathrooms. I love it here and it is all I dreamed of in Tuscany on a budget. I wouldn't go anywhere else! They also own Night and Day which is on the 7th floor. this is my second home!

When we booked our trip to Pisa we went by the recommendations on various sites, the photos looked impressive, so we decided this would suit us. We advised that we would not be arriving until evening, we forwarded copies of our passports as requested, and were informed that on arrival we should phone, telephoen number was provided. We booked a taxi to take us from the airport which I am glad we did, otherwise we would never have found the property as it was nothing like the photos we had seen. To get into the building you had to use a buzzer but as there was no one there to let us in, we had to wait until someone arrived, lucky for us, a resident of the building was going in so let us in also, after a long day travelling we just wanted to get into the room and relax, but instead we had to hang about waiting for someone to come and check us in,eventually they did. The room was nice, with a really good shower, and the location is great, halfway between train station and Leaning tower of Pisa, this made up for the problems when we booked in, altogether not too bad a place to stay but I prefer less hassles.

This was a perfect base to spend our first night in Tuscany. It is so far into the old town with narrow streets that our large people carrier taxi had to stop short of the Piazza Sant Ombono. The driver helped wheel our cases to the door (the smaller taxi we had the next day got right to the door). We were warmly greeted by Franco, and he carried our luggage up the stairs, saw us settled in our immaculate suite, and recommended a restaurant nearby. This was a great place to stay; there are swankier establishments, at considerable extra cost, but we were very comfortable here. Breakfast was excellent and included in the total cost, €118, pretty good value for September when Pisa is still busy with tourists.

We arrived at this hotel with little expectation after reading some of the reviews but were pleasantly surprised when we finally arrived in our room. We had a large double bed (2 mattresses pushed together) that was reasonably comfortable. Everything seemed very clean. As some reviewers have posted, we didn't have any mould in our bathrooms and our air conditioning appeared to be new although we had no use of it. There was a small TV (mainly Italian channels) and a small fridge. We had a top floor room with a view over the street and across to a church. The breakfast was adequate. I wouldn't have necessarily paid extra for it but it was included in our price and was enough to get you through the morning with cereals, bread, fruit and pastries to be had with hot drinks and fruit juices. The location was brilliant, all being within walking distance to the train station and the tower. There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets around the hotel. Our only problem was that despite putting a 'do not disturb' sign on our room we firstly had who I think was a maintenance guy knock before swiftly entering without our say so before quickly retreating. This could have been a problem for someone for example having a shower. The second was a maid that had been into our room to clean it but again ignoring the sign and taken it down altogether. All in all the hotel exceeded expectations but unfortunately with also a few minor gripes with staff. Great base for anyone visiting Pisa and the surrounding areas.

Definitely not “luxury” but it was clean and comfortable. Seems to be the luck of the draw. Maybe better for couples than families. Downsides: 1. It wasn’t clear which room we were allocated at booking. We emailed & specifically asked for a room with a bath. At first they responded saying we hadn’t been allocated the room with a bath. We thus emailed back asking if we could have a bath as we were travelling with a 1 year old. We chased again & said we would need to change accommodation if this couldn’t be accommodated, but would assume that this could be accommodated unless they advised to the contrary. Upon arrival we were told that this hadn’t been arranged so we were regrettably left having to wash our baby in the sink! They then denied having received our emails - even though they’d responded to one & the emails were all in the same email chain. Their response was a shrug. We took their word for it & got on with it, however. 2. We had prepaid 48 Euros per day for breakfast as the Arts Cafe sounded lovely. However we were told on arrival that the Arts cafe was closed. No explanation was given as to why we were only told upon arrival. We reluctantly therefore agreed to try the apartment’s own breakfast at the same cost. They then proceeded to provide our 1 & 4 year old children with coffee (yes, coffee!!) to drink with their ham sandwich breakfast. 3. We politely declined their breakfast the second day & asked for them to refund the breakfast sum of 48 Euros pre-paid for the second day. They said they couldn’t do so. No explanation as to why. 4.We were allocated the room atop 4 flights of stairs. Not the easiest with a young family and no lift.

Five minutes from the train station, ten minutes to the Campo di Miracoli. The host was very helpful, providing recommendations for dinner to avoid the touristy places and get a real sense of Tuscan food. The room was comfortable and clean, only downsides was noise from outside, I think it was only single glazing and could do with a bit more sound proofing (having said that I always travel with earplugs anyway), and the shared bathroom which sometimes meant waiting to go to bed or go out whilst people were showering/drying hair but that's just how it is in a shared bathroom situation.

It was a great experience to stay here, the service was great and accommodating. My wife, my 2 kids(4&6 years old), and myself arrived around midnight and they helped getting in without any problems and completed the check in process in the morning. The breakfast is great, and the staff is very welcoming. We would definitely stay here again without a doubt, the only thing that we would do different is to arrive earlier. We were not aware of how lively the nightlife is, and had a difficult time finding parking. Also another tip that everyone has to consider when visiting Europe is to travel light, you never know how much you’re going to have to walk and between your luggage and kids your trip can become very stressful.

The hosts were fantastic. Andrea checked us in, gave us all the important information including places to visit in Pisa and restaurants (we tried Alle Bandierine from this list and it was amazing!). There is a lift in the property which is very useful. Our first room had a kitchen attached, and there were complimentary crackers, drink and biscuits for our arrival. Unfortunately there was a water leak in our bathroom due to a broken pipe under the sink (these things happen!) but the hosts reacted in the best way and we were moved to another room within 30 seconds (a bigger room too!). It was all very smooth and they were very accommodating. The room was very spacious and comfortable. There were two locked doors before entering our room and the wardrobe was locked with a key so we felt very safe leaving our things. The breakfast was served in a pretty room with the other Andrea hosting this time. A good selection of continental breakfast! We left our luggage with the hosts after checking out and picked up later. The location is perfect for exploring everywhere on foot. I would definitely recommend staying here whilst in Pisa.

Visited Pisa for New Year 2020 and stayed at this lovely hotel booked through Love Holidays. Perhaps a little dated but that added to charm of the hotel, buffet breakfast was included and this had a good variety of meat, cheese, pastries, fresh fruit and cereals. the room was cleaned regularly and all the staff were very professional, helpful and pleasant. the location has to be the biggest plus for this hotel, we were in room 210 (triple) this room has 2 small balconies that open onto the main street and right at the end is the Leaning Tower! definitely a WOW moment!! Opposite the hotel are several reasonably priced restaurants so eating out is easy. Pisa is beautiful and there's lots to see and do, we also caught the train to Florence on 2 occasions as we wanted to visit the art galleries - book in advance for the Uffizi and Accademia as the queues are enormous, luckily the hotel has good wifi so booking on line the evening before was simple. One tip I can pass on is that the shuttle train from the airport to Pisa central train station costs 5 euros per person then we got a taxi to the hotel, however a taxi from the airport straight to our hotel was 15 euros so a taxi worked our cheaper for us. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate return.

The NH Pisa hotel is just 1 minute’s walk from the station and a short stroll into the city so we couldn’t do better than that. The room was a typical NH room and was really quiet despite the station and bus terminal being right outside our window. There was a quaint welcome gift of some tarts on a tray with ‘NH’ and an outline of the leaning tower drawn in icing sugar. Unfortunately, the bar fridge didn’t work so we couldn’t even keep our drinking water cold. We did tell the receptionist that it was unserviceable but nothing happened before we left - not so in other places we’ve stayed. There was no bar at all in the hotel so we asked the man at reception if he had any suggestions as to where to get a drink or something to eat but he was too busy to talk to us! We wondered then if he even reported our problem with the fridge in the room because he may have been too busy to do that, too. Breakfast was pretty good and included lots of veggies and salads. The NH Pisa is in a great location but the service could have been a little better.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights to explore Pisa. The location is perfect for anyone interested in the Tower and local museums and about a 20/30 minute walk from the train station. We had a transfer from the airport (10 mins) and found everything to be fairly close. Our room was very clean and simple. Our bed was made daily and the staff were all very friendly and hospitable. The place could use a little updating- not by much but even a new carpet could renew the place. There is a very old hair dryer and bidet. There is a small lift to get to the upstairs floors with bags and a small TV room. There was also a TV in the room but we didn’t watch it. Breakfast was bread and croissants (as already noted in other reviews), with hams and cheeses, jams and Nutella. Not ideal for vegans as I ate bread and jam for 4 days. It’s served from 8-10 am The hotel is dated but you are paying for the location for the most part and I think it does that very nicely. Would recommend for anyone wanting to be close to the tower x Thank you for having us!

After a day of literally planes, trains, and automobiles (taxis), we have arrived at our hotel in Pisa, Antiche Navi Pisano. It's a boutique hotel off the beaten path. It is not walking distance Tom the main train station but there is a station within walking distance. The rooms are more studio apartments than hotel rooms. I could actually see someone living here long term. They clean and comfortable, though the "king" size bed was just a couple of mattresses on a wood frame. The bed was still extremely comfortable. The front desk was a little different, more like back in an office or a large closet. The attendant was very informative about the hotel amenities. We did note that they're very strict about the rules...breakfast is over at 10:00 AM, if it's nice you may eat on the patio outside; housekeeping is from 10:00 to 12:00, vacate your room or you will not receive service. But best thing was this hotel was a short distance to the Tower (walking distance) and there were quite a few decent restaurants in the area. Would definitely stay here again.

I was looking for a good hotel to stay in for 1 night to enable us to reach the airport easily in the morning. Alarm bells rang straight away when the date was changed on the confirmation at the end of the booking process. Instead of a night in September they were “pleased to welcome us on November 10th”. This wouldn’t normally be a problem but they had already charged my credit card and didn’t permit refunds for any reason! I emailed them several times before I got a response. Eventually a young lady said she thought she could alter it for me which she did. After check in the litany of disasters began. Lift - only went to 2nd floor from Ground floor. Most guests seemed to be on the 3rd floor. Air conditioning - not working, room temperature 28c. It turned out that it was switched off. I was told the lowest temperature setting was 24c. No room service “Minibar” empty. Tea/coffee making facility was a kettle and 1 mug - nothing else. Toiletries - 2x 20 ml bottles of shampoo/conditioner and 1 very small bar of soap. Bed linen not ironed. 2 very flat synthetic pillows between us. Very noisy . Railway outside hotel going throughout the night. Busy road on the other side. There was often no one on the front desk. I went to ask for help with the air con not working early evening - no one there, other guests waiting. Eventually another guest found the receptionist/night manager(?) eating his dinner in another part of the hotel. No one serving on the bar. One waitress ( the only shining star in the place) was taking orders, serving meals and collecting used crockery from 10 tables in the restaurant. She did a brilliant job. We had a Junior Suite which bore no resemblance to the Junior Suites we had enjoyed during the rest of our trip. After a hot, noisy, sleepless night it was a relief to get out of the hotel Four star - no way. 2+ stars at best. A very basic service provided by a skeleton staff. Go there at your peril!
