Hotels Near Ganesh In Krakow
0.02km from GaneshThis is a very welcoming hotel whose friendly, attentive staff speak excellent English and are only too willing to help guests enjoy their stay. We originally booked accommodation for five nights on a non-refundable basis. However, BA cancelled and rebooked our flights to such an extent that we had to add two nights at the start and one at the end of our trip. The hotel took all of this in its stride, allowing us to have use of the same room for our entire trip - in fact, they gave us an upgrade! The extra nights were charged at very favourable rates and it was explained to us that, in the event of cancellation, these extra nights would be refunded - first class service! Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The hotel explained that the room would not be serviced on a daily basis but that we should ask at reception if we needed anything done. Every couple of days, we would ask for fresh towels and invariably return later to find the entire room made up. They offered a very substantial buffet breakfast which was convenient if you had an early morning tour departure although there was a wide choice of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. With Market Square only two blocks away, all Krakow's main attractions are virtually on your doorstep. We had a wonderful stay and would not hesitate to book at Hotel Unicus on our next Krakow visit.
0.03km from GaneshJust arrived at Kraków airport to fly home to Glasgow with Jet 2 airlines at 19.45 tonight but just have to leave this review. The staff & service at the Hotel Unicus Palace in Kraków centre have been absolutely fantastic to us & the hotel carried out their everyday service, with food, drink, transport etc., as if this was their normal day to day routines even with the coron 19 situation amidst cut all and the lock down off Kraków. My friend & myself felt very safe & the hotel couldn’t have done anymore than the 100% excellent service & hospital they provided to us & the few remaining guests at the hotel, left to leave Kraków. We are the last flight coming out off Kraków tonight to the UK .... literally!!! We will be back to Kraków when this “mad situation” off the Coronavirus virus gets back to normal & we definitely will stay nowhere else but, this hotel as they 100% went beyond everything for us during the stay with true professionalism. THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF AT HOTEL UNICUS PALACE FOR MAKING OUR 3 day trip to Kraków safe for us & us wanting for nothing more !! See you again soon hopefully, Lesley McLeod & Jan Gunn from Scotland

0.04km from GaneshThis was our second visit to these apartments as they were really lovely last year so booked again. It’s always best to confirm which apartments your staying in as they are dotted around the old town and they may change your location when you arrive. This time we were moved to apartments on the same street as the US and German Embassy. No cars allowed in the street and police patrolling outside. Breakfast is included but I i new from last time that the restaurant is small and always too full, so as agreed to could pick up breakfast or have it delivered. On the second day we didn’t receive the breakfast as pre-arranged but when I contacted reception to question the manager called me straight away to apologise and he brought over the breakfast that night as we were leaving 5 am the next morning and would miss it. He was very accommodating. The apartments themselves were lovely and clean and really spacious with 2 double beds and sofa bed, table and chairs in the huge living area and separate kitchen with dining table. The only issue was that the boiler was rather loud and but luckily it never happened late in the night. The apartments are located just around the corner to the main square and a 5 min walk to Wawel Castle. All in all another beautiful apartment in an excellent location and after the initial issue staff were very helpful.
0.04km from GaneshBooked via Lastminute.com for a short city break for a birthday treat. Allocated Apt; Huckleberry sleeps 2. My title reflects our experience. The apartment was perfectly adequate for the price. There were pros and cons. Just be aware before making your choice. You get what you pay for. I can now appreciate what some of the previous negative reviews were were referring to but I can only speak as I found. We arrived late on, around 8pm. As promised someone had stayed on to greet us and hand over the keys. Remember folks Polish people tend to come over as gruff, they’re not actually rude unless you are. Relax you’re on holiday! Our elderly hostess had about 6 words of English and I had 6 of Polish which we found pretty amusing. With much smiling and hand gestures we managed to pay our balance get our keys and were shown to our room. The first thing that happened as she left us was the door handle coming off in my hand….yep, it was going to be a comedy of errors! (don’t worry the handle slotted back on) First impression: Fairly recent renovation. Still smelled of plaster. Student type digs furnished completely from Ikea. Not as slick as their website photos, looking a bit tired and some poor finishes here and there, but still perfectly functional. A good clean and some small attention to detail would improve it no end. Pros: Cheap. Considering you’re a few steps from the city centre the price is amazing. There’s McD’s almost opposite and a couple of 24Hr Carrefour Express shops in your street so you can grab any provisions you need. Flat screen TV, no English channels but does have a USB port so take your own shows on a pen drive if you want to watch anything in bed. Comfy bed – it may not be a king size but it’s a perfectly comfortable mattress. Spotless fridge. Hairdryer – considering it’s travel size – worked well. There’s a covered 2 pin socket in the bathroom to connect it to (Remember your euro socket converters if you take your own or your hair straighteners) Free Wifi worked well. Cons: Stairwells outside your door carry noise a lot. Especially when your neighbours go clip clopping out at 5am! Ear plugs are useful. Never felt the radiator get warm once during our stay. It was around 2°c during our stay, but if we did get cold we put the electric heater on. The shower in our apartment was one of those cabinet affairs that was utterly useless. Nowhere to hang or place your toiletries. It’s not that easy to bend down and grab your shampoo in one of those things. The rainfall head sprayed water all over the top into the air and on the floor. The body Jets sprayed water through the doors, the normal shower hose worked fine but you couldn’t angle it on the bracket, so pretty rubbish overall. Nowhere to hang towels. Please put up a towel rail or some hooks. 2 rather hard, worn looking towels provided. A hand towel and decent floor mat wouldn’t go amiss. Watch out for the dual toilet flush, the button likes to stick down
0.08km from GaneshFollowing the recommendation by Tomasz of GFP Travel (our tour company) and our review of clients' posted comments, the Hotel Pod Roza was our comfortable and accommodating base in this City. Its convenient location cannot be minimized by any means. The management in the persons of Małgorzata and Anna, and staff were highly responsive. For example, the waitpersons in the bar and dining room (most remarkably at breakfast) were highly welcoming in their quality service. Also meriting recognition and commendation were Elżbieta at the reception desk and Józef, the greeter and porter - so much appreciated by us. Indeed, Hotel Pod Roza stands out for us as highly recommended as we experienced its services and manner.
0.08km from GaneshStayed here with my husband & my parents in January 2020 for 2 nights. The hotel is beautiful and in such a fantastic location. The rooms were beautiful and the bathrooms were lovely. Breakfast in the morning was lovely & lots to offer. Was in the basement room downstairs and is a wonderful room. When we checked in we was given a box of chocolates for a email that we had from the hotel which were lovely - this was a nice little touch. Tea & coffee facilities in the room, shampoo & soaps. (& slippers!) The only issue was we checked in around 1.30pm and was told to come back at 2.00pm - I asked if our rooms were ready and I was told no. After being up at 3.00am and with my elderly dad with us going straight up to the room would have been perfect but wasn't the end of the world. Thank you for a lovely stay & would 100% stay again!
0.09km from GaneshIf you want a hotel within 10 mins walk from the railway station (20 mins by train from the airport), 5 mins stroll from the main square, with cafes, bars and restaurants within 50m of the door and a gorgeous square and theatre opposite, this is the place. Possibly one of the best located hotels we’ve ever stayed in, it really is in the BEST position for visiting this wonderful city. The staff were excellent throughout and had arranged for a complimentary bottle of wine as we were celebrating my wife’s birthday. The room was like a mini suite, small lounge leading to the bedroom, old world style furniture but very nice. Beds are firm but comfortable and with the best pillows ever. The bathroom was fine, shower takes a minute to warm up but great when up to temperature. We didn’t have breakfast as there are cafes serving coffee and danish literally 3-4 doors down so we could lie in and have breakfast in our room. Reception let us borrow an iron and hair drier and arranged our visit to Auschwitz (good value as it’s done in a very small group, including entry, guide and transport). The hotel is lovely inside, perhaps may need a little TLC but nothing that jumps out as poorly maintained. When planning a return, this hotel is a no brainer; for value for money and especially location, it’s perfect.

0.1km from GaneshI booked this hotel via Booking.com purely based on its location and price. Having never been to Krakow before I was guided by reviews that the Old Town was a good place to be based and this hotels location couldn't have been more central. 2 min walk to the main square and you could walk as far as the Jewish Quarter in about 20 mins and the ghetto in about 40 mins. The lady on reception was so helpful and polite. Anything we asked she helped us with. She booked for us to go to Auschwitz and the Salt mines, she arranged a taxi back to the airport, she advised on opening times of places and could not have been more helpful. The room was plenty big enough with the usual facilities like wifi, tv and hairdryer. It was clean and had air con. The included breakfast was lovely and all the staff were so polite. You don't need to pay a fortune for a fancy hotel that you spend little time in when you could stay in this reasonably price hotel that was in the most central location with the most friendly helpful staff. Just brilliant and I would recommend to anyone and I will definitely use again next time I visit Krakow
0.1km from GaneshSpent 4 nights at Too-Good Apartments and had an excellent stay, the apartment was very clean and spacious. We had a two bedroom apartment which could easily accommodate 4. Location was great! a few minutes from the main square and located right next to an Irish pub so no need to go far for a drink (note no noise from this pub can be heard in the apartments). Would recommend and stay here again.

0.14km from GaneshI forgot to take pictures. I did book 3 twin rooms with private bathroom. The rooms were very different in size, and I grabbed the biggest one, it was huge. The other two room were tiny with the beds on a row toward the wall and not side by side as the rooms was so small. I had red beforehand that it could get noisy from the street so I was prepared for that. It was not so bad. After long day as a tourist you just fall right a sleep. Comfy beds, could get a bit hot. The service was amazing, the girls that worked there ruched up to make us breakfast every morning about 6. The food was not the best, but sure the servicemindedness of the girls compensated for that. The wifi could be better, but overall you get what you pay for, and you get the ekstra service for free. A+
0.14km from GaneshThis hotel is brilliantly located to explore this great city. A short stroll through the park from the main station and you arrive at this hotel. The hotel is only a further short walk to the main square and all the restaurants and bars to pick from. We received a complimentary upgrade to a suite. Wow. Gorgeous room. Lots of complimentary toiletries to use, so no need to cram any into your hand luggage. Plenty of free tea and coffee too. Breakfast was included in our stay and although only a cold buffet, was filling. Choice of yoghurts and fruit. Plenty of cheeses and meats and vegetables to pick, all served with a selection of breads. Hotel felt very covid secure. Hand sanitiser for use each time you entered the hotel and dining room. Reception staff extremely friendly too. Highly recommend this hotel
Hotels Near Ganesh In Krakow Review
Stayed 3 nights as part of my surprise 50th birthday tour of Prague and Krakow and had a wonderful experience at this hotel. It is very modern, clean and friendly and would highly recommend. I cant fault the place really and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Had to move rooms straight away as we wanted a bath instead of just a shower but that was no problem for them. We never ate as there was so much choice externally on your doorstep. Unfortunately we were there just as the city and country closed down for Coronavirus but it just meant we could spend a little more time in the hotels excellent basement leisure facilities and swam in the intimate basement pool and used the sauna and steam room. Would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to stay if coming to beautiful Krakow and having stayed in dozens of fantastic hotels around the world this last 20 years this ranks in my top 10 easily.
Chose this hotel because of its reviews and location. Arrived 8pm and check in was easy with friendly reception and lovely young man as a porter who showed us to our room. Room 223 was perfect... good size, new bathroom with corner shower, which was powerful and always hot. Small wardrobe, but it was a city break so limited clothes. TV, clock radio plus lots of other little extras. Thin quilt as others have said but we were never cold and new high pillows. Bar and breakfast room was lovley, drinks reasonable price for a hotel. Breakfast was the usual choice for a city hotel and always hot with decent coffee. I have only given a 4 star because some of the staff were lovley and others on the rude side. Also I had read that the beds were hard and they were not joking. I suffer with a hip problem and was walking the floor at 3am on the first night in pain. I asked if they could help twice and was only given 2 small fleece blankets to put underneath. Needless to say I didnt sleep well for the 5 nights we were there which left me tired in the day and difficulty walking. I have had this problem in other hotels and its always been solved with somesort of mattress topper. Very disappointing but therwise I would highly recommend this hotel to others as location and overall it was fab.
A 4 part review: Let's start with the basics - clean, well maintained, warm, got all the stuff you need. Then let's talk covid measures - the hotel is well laid out, all the screens and social distancing is in place, lots of hand cleaner everywhere, and central services such as lobby toilets are closed at 10pm for safety. All good. Now the room itself - all clean and relatively well appointed, but the mattress was way too soft for my taste, as were the pillows, and the room (10th floor) was unbelievably hot. Fans are ok but it really needed some aircon to make it comfortable. Finally the best bit. The staff and service were fantastic. Particular mentions go to Ana at the bar, Agata who looked after us at dinner, Sebastien on reception and his female colleague who checked us in but i couldn't see her name. We were made to feel very welcome, always looked after, nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they seemed to treat us as individuals rather than "just another guest" Good service makes a massive difference wherever you stay. The hotel manager at Novotel West needs to pat themselves on the back, the staff here are brilliant and we had a great time because of them. Lucky, as it was our 32nd wedding anniversary!
Booked here with friends (golf trip) after reading reviews- I was expecting a bit better to be honest. We paid for a superior twin room with old town views , we were given a double room which had a slight glimpse of some chimneys, the main problem being the fact that it was a double . We were then moved to a ‘park view ‘ room on the other side of the hotel . This had two single beds in between two wall- fitted bedside cabinets, one could only separate the beds by a maximum of 6 inches so was in effect another double bedroom . We had to move one of the beds over to the window which turned out to be pretty noisy as we had to have it open because the rooms we about 30’ even with the very noisy ac on. It was 15’ outside. Ok , that’s the negative stuff...breakfast was pretty good but basic, the hotel is very clean and well situated and the staff are all friendly.
Stayed here for 3 nights from 7th December. Very modern hotel with colourful and tasteful decoration. Very friendly welcome from Magda on Reception when we arrived and all the other staff we met were equally friendly and helpful. Hotel has a bar and restaurant and plenty of sitting room in the open plan reception, bar and restaurant. Breakfast is buffet style and comprehensive. Room has everything you need for a few nights hairdryer,TV, plenty of space for clothes. Powerful shower over bath. Everywhere in this hotel was immaculately clean and tidy. Easy straight walk to Old Town (about 15 mins) or catch the Tram no. 14 from round the corner. ( you can buy tickets from Reception ). Would certainly recommend.
After a nightmare journey to Krakow the last thing we wanted was a further let down with the place we were staying. Thank goodness it wasn't! Rakowicka Residence is an absolute diamond of a property in a quiet area just 15mins stroll to the Market Square, where most things in Krakow happen. On the walk to the square you also pass a huge shopping mall so it's very convenient for some retail therapy as well. The room was spotless as was the bathroom and shower. Our room on the 5th floor had 2 skylights for natural light. There was a table and 2 chairs, lots of storage space, a kettle, coffee machine, a safe, clean towels and shower gel/shampoo and bottled soap in the bathroom. There is a lift to the top floor. Access is by keypad at the front door and for your room. We felt very secure in the area, which appeared to be a business quarter with 2 large banks HQ's close by. We are hoping to return again to Krakow this year and would have no hesitation of booking Rakowicka Residence. Before signing off I should mention the staff at the apartment. We were meant to arrive in Krakow at 12:00 but that ended up being 20:15 so by the time we got to the apartment is was close to 10pm. I kept in touch with Magdalena via emails during the journey explaining our delay, so she kindly gave me the access details as we would be there past her finishing time of 21:00. We got there she was still there to make sure that we were OK. Service above and beyond. We met with 3 of the staff and all were excellent and helpful
