The hotel is just 2 minutes walk to Saint Brieuc Gare train station, just what we needed, close by and convenient. It was also within walking distance to the attractions nearby, ranging from 10-15 minutes walk. The room was clean and well laid out, with good WiFi and hot water shower in abundance and pressure. The hotel also has free parking those who drive. The frontline staff were really helpful and friendly, which made the check-in and check-out wonderful. Highly recommended!

Loved this hotel and the Junior Suite we had for 2 nights, when modern in an historic building is done well it is exhilarating and this is one of those places. Almost all hotels have little niggles and here they were around the periphery which taken individually amount to nothing but collectively aggravated. Breakfast was very good and the informal atmosphere made a good start to the day, parking excellent and the position of the hotel very good, a 10 minute walk into town was perfect and no noise to disturb sleep. I felt the bar was a short coming and a little more care and professionalism would have gone a long way like that shewn by the receptionists. Really good place to stay.

A basic hotel that is very good for a city location as it is situated right in amongst the shopping centre area. The description saying car parking is available is a little misleading as what it means is that across the road there is underground parking in the shopping mall. This can be paid for at the hotel but I am always a bit anxious about leaving my car in these places especially as the British number plate sets it apart. Must say however by concerns were needless. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful.

Found the hotel very easily. Beautiful building. Lovely welcome on arrival. We had previously booked our parking, which I’d definitely recommend. We got the last space and I’m not sure where we’d have parked as it’s a very busy area. I’d thoroughly recommend Hotel Edgar. Our room wasn’t huge but was very well arranged and spotlessly clean. Shower was fabulous! Breakfast the following morning was plentiful and a great range on offer. I personally loved the freshly squeezed orange juice. We stayed on a Friday night and were a little worried that we’d be woken with the market setting up outside as our room was to the front, but no need for worry. We slept very soundly and comfortably. The situation of the hotel in the old part of town made it an ideal base. We loved it! Thank you.

My partner and I stayed at the Hotel de Clisson for a week using it as a base to explore the Bay of Saint-Brieuc. We obtained a special price deal with the hotel which included breakfast, a welcome drink and two free meals at ‘partner’ restaurants in the town, so it worked out quite economical. The hotel is in a quiet back street only a few minutes walk from the town centre and old quarter. The Tourist Information Centre, the Train station and bus station are also nearby so the location is very convenient. There are several restaurants only minutes walk away. Parking is available though we didn’t have a car, relying on the bus service to visit neighbouring towns. The hotel owners, M and Mme Martin are very friendly and helpful. We paid an extra 10 euros a night for a room with a ‘garden view’ (there is a small garden at the back of the hotel where guests can sit out but we were out every day and the weather wasn’t so warm in the evenings so we didn’t use it). However I think it meant that we were given a larger room by paying the extra so it was probably worth it. Our room on the 2nd was comfortable and clean and the bathroom was adequate with a small shower cabinet but powerful shower. The taps are ‘unusual’ but we learned how to use them! Room service is available but we only used it twice to order pre-dinner drinks. I can recommend Monsieur’s cocktails! The two free meals included with our package were booked for us at nearby restaurants. The menu is understandably limited to a couple of choices for each course but we were able to ‘upgrade’ to something we preferred by paying the difference. It also included a free drink. An ideal choice of hotel and just what we wanted. A decent quality 3 star small family run hotel. Not luxurious but comfortable, clean and welcoming.

Apart from being far from the city, there is no shortcoming. The indoor parking lot is full and can only be parked. The charge can be stopped for up to 4 hours. But on both sides, there are no cars and no police placards. It may be farther away.

Room facilities are very good and spacious. Separate kitchen bathroom living room is the tram stop but because it is a hotel apartment bedding is not very comfortable. Extra bed blankets. Many hairs are required to leave before cleaning. The price is not particularly advantageous. The same price in Paris can live in adagio Bordeaux. Can choose to live in the city center hotel

The environment is first-rate, but the room facilities, especially the towels and towels, are really not up to five-star standards! Especially unbearable is the poor sound insulation of the room! The music bar downstairs runs until 12 o'clock. The room noise and quake on the 5th floor are too serious to sleep at all! After finally getting quiet, the next room began to perform a passion show, thrilling, sleepless all night ... living in this most luxurious five-star hotel, enjoying such hell-style torture, but also drunk! Cried! fainted!

Cost-effective. The location is very good, PAUL and McDonald's are near the street, it takes less than 1 minute to walk. Lafayette is also very close. Within 3 minutes. Tourist Information, Grand Theatre, tram station is also very close, walk about 5 minutes to . Be aware that Bordeaux has a pedestrian zone and the car cannot go directly to the hotel entrance. Hotel facilities have a Nespresso coffee machine, shampoo and conditioner, unlike other hotels only all-in-one. Note that the bathtub is a bit high. Breakfast costs $15 euro. Consider buying city day pass, 24 hours $29 euro. Pack the wine museum (tickets $20 euro) and some entrance tickets and public transportation (tickets $4.7 euro). If you go to the wine museum, the value for money.

Breakfast is very good. The chef orders it now: omelet, shredded cheese, vegetables, mushrooms, etc. It's great. Other kinds of bread, fresh juice coffee tea. Meat has sausages, bacon. Peach apple, cantaloupe, pineapple and other fruits, a kind of Danone fruit yoghurt. All in all, including early value

Catch up the parade, go out from the train station, spent more than 30 euros taxi to the hotel. The heart is bleeding. There are several Chinese restaurants nearby, which taste good. A few steps away is the tram stop, which is convenient for transportation.

From the welcome on arrival to the checkout we had a thoroughly positive experience here. The hotel is situated beside the Gare St Jean, an ideal position for travelling around the city. There is a tram stop just behind the hotel or you can walk through the station where you can find trains, buses and trams as well as taxis. The trams are an excellent way to get around the city. We took the advice of the lady in the tourist office inside the station and bought the Bordeaux City Pass. This gave us unlimited travel on the buses, trams and water taxis as well as entry into all sorts of attractions; well worth consideration, look it up! A great trip made all the more enjoyable because we had such a comfortable and friendly base.

Every time my partner and I come to Bordeaux, we choose to stay at the Ibis Budget here around Meriadeck. Simply because it is cheap, clean and in a fantastic location for anything you want in Bordeaux. Admittedly, the rooms are small (and you'd be surprised how small!) but you have all the amenities and space you need. Most importantly, the room is clean and tidy. The hotel does offer a luggage storage if needed also. It says they charge 2€ for this, but if you look on the back of your door in your room, it says "Free". Use this to your advantage! Location wise this is excellent. Meriadeck shopping centre (with a huge Auchan within) behind, St Andre Cathedral, Rue Sainte-Catherine, Hotel de Ville... everything you need (even the train station!) is within walking distance. And it'd be rude not to walk in such a fantastic city. All in all, next time we're in Bordeaux, this will be top of the list of hotels to stay in once more.

The facilities of the Samsung Express Hotel are in harmony with ibis. Google maps are navigated to the back door of the hotel. The room is small, the toilet is in a small cubicle, and the bathtub is small. From the airport, you can take the 1+ line to the palais de justice station and walk for a hundred or two meters. It is convenient to not have a chartered car or a taxi. About 1 km walk to Pepelan Square in the city centre.

The hotel has excellent service! (due to covid-19 the wine-cellar could not deliver the wines to the hotel, called the hotel who sent staff to pick it up instead so we did not have to carry the wine around) - Truly excellent service! Sweet touches with calling beforehand to enquire if there are any special needs, sweet welcome in the room etc. Great facilities, amazing garden with a brilliant pool you don't want to leave. Room was spacious and cool with a little balcony.(a small thing and depending on taste: Not a fan of not having closed bathroom, with shower in the room and little privacy for being "in the bathroom".) To conclude, we wished we had stayed longer!

Good breakfast and location. But a lot of one-off things aren't there, and that's probably the case in Europe. The overall feeling is not bad, but one day, throwing my trousers directly to the ground for sanitation, I came back to see how angry I was. The shower head in the bath is not good, the old one, the angle cannot be adjusted, and the washing is uncomfortable. There is a taxi at the door, which is not bad.

We had four nights here over a weekend, a return visit. The location is terrific - easy walking to the main city centre areas, and tram stop 100metres away for destinations further afield. Parking (public) is adjacent, but very expensive. Breakfast is excellent, served on the top floor with splendid views across the river and city. Very good selection, although the scrambled eggs could be more creamy (our key test of hotel breakfasts), and they failed the warm plate test - why do people offer warm food on cold plates? Our room was spacious, quiet and clean, but without character and in need of a little care. The hospitality tray was anything but hospitable - poor selection, very meagre supplies, cheap paper cups - creates a very mean impression. We complain about this every time, but they take no notice. Now we bring our own coffee and mugs. Room service was disappointing. They didn't answer the phone so we had to go down to Reception to order. The food came 20 minutes late - they had ample time and only had to heat up pre-prepared pots - after a call to reception. Then the food was only luke-warm. All the staff we encountered were friendly, professioanl and went out of their way to make us well looked after (apart from room service). We will come again because of the location, and basically it's a good hotel. It would not take much for them to earn five blobs.
