Stayed here for just the one night. Lady at reception was very friendly and helpful. The room was fine, very clean, with a very comfy bed and good shower (unfortunately the room was a bit close to the wooden stairs, which was quite noticable in the morning :-() Breakfast was plentiful and varied (to be expected in a place like this) but nothing really special or outstanding. The restaurant had a classy atmosphere, so had the menu :-) The food was very nice and well presented, however.......the service didn't quite match all this. It took a long time for a waiter to turn up (and it wasn't really busy !!), our request for menu's was forgotten half way back to the door, no smiles, please or thank you from this fellow. Only later, when a young lady turned up things took a turn for the better. Maybe nothing much to worry about, but, if you try to exude a certain class that is also part of the deal. We would easily go back here though :-)

Booking a suite for € 200 per night. The hotel is not able to provide you with a parking space, it starts by asking you €9.5 to be able to park! And at this price, forget the valet parking! The room was a suite. Very pretty during the visit. We had booked a queen size bed and ended up with two single beds. No possibility of changing rooms, and to change the sheets it was obviously incomprehensible so nothing was done. The visit to the suite resumes. A small living room with refrigerator (without bottled water ... even an Ibis at €90 per night offers you a bottle of our day), two single beds, a nice view, a jacuzzi bath (Happiness!) And a bathroom with a shower and the toilet ! What a surprise, you can poop while taking your shower! What happiness! For the power of the jet of water, we will come back. The jacuzzi, after a quarter of an hour of filling we stopped the pressure was so low ... In short, go your way, the value for money is nonexistent despite the potential of the establishment!

We stayed for 3 nights as part of a Netherlands touring holiday. We had 2 rooms, a family room for 4 and a twin in the attic. We were given rooms opposite each other which was appreciated. Having not stayed in a Fletcher hotel before we weren’t sure what to expect. The lobby and restaurant were very smart but sadly our rooms were dated and in need of a refurbishment. They were clean and had everything we needed but with some scuffs on the walls, a very dated bathroom (dark shower curtain and no light) it didn’t feel as special as maybe we had expected for the cost. Having read up beforehand I knew the family room had a kitchen that couldn’t be used - but there was a decent fridge provided which was a nice touch. Breakfast was included in our rate and there was a good range of food to keep everyone happy. We did visit the bar on 2 evenings, whilst it’s quiet and not staffed there were clear signs to call reception and a member of staff arrived straight away to serve us. The hotel is really well located to explore the dunes (the visitor centre is just out of the back of the hotel) and only a 10 minutes walk into Schoorl where there are several restaurants.

A very quaint hotel in a very pretty area. As we were cycling, I went in to check if we could secure our bikes first before checking in. The manager asked me to wait while he went and served some ladies outside who had just arrived. After waiting a few minutes he came back to me and explained we could park around the back of the hotel but if we weren't happy with that we could bring the bikes inside at the back where they would locked in. We went to the back area which was very open as there was a public car park at the back but as no one showed us where the inside secure area was we decided to secure the bikes outside. We went back in to get our room key. We were shown to our room which although very old fashioned was clean and had everything we needed. There is also an honesty bar if you wanted any drinks or snacks. After showering we went out for a walk to see the local area and decided as the hotel restaurant looked nice we would eat here. Not the case. When I asked for a table, (There was only one table taken) I was told we weren't special and could have dinner there. I am hoping he meant as we hadn't reserved we couldn't eat there. A bit disappointed. We ate elsewhere. Breakfast next morning was continental as expected and was ok. It's a very basic no frills hotel, but bed was comfy and room was clean.
