On a way back from Rome, we took a quick decision to spend the night at a hotal. Hotel 3 Lindin is near the A9 autobahn and we where surprise how good the hotel was. Fine spacy room, clean, nice staff, quite cheap and a restaurant/bar - Pherdestall - with good and plenty food. Noted as a place to stay for us, when we drive to the southern parts of Europw.

Yes, the room is big, two rooms. There are kitchen cabinets and consoles, but not cooking. The price is very high, the bus station is opposite the hotel, there are supermarkets, gas stations, bakery nearby... life is very convenient. It is worth mentioning that the price of gas at the gas station here is very cheap, about 15% cheaper than the service area

We stayed here for two nights as we were attending a wedding locally. This is a Pension, which means it is what British people would call a B&B. Facilities are limited, no tea or coffee making in the rooms and no stuff like irons or hairdryers, although they are happy to lend you them if you haven’t brought your own. The whole hotel is very well decorated and each room has its own ‘masterpiece’ above the bed. Make sure you get an en suite room. The area is quiet, but a little distant from town. However, the tram service is excellent and runs from the end of the street right into the heart of the city. This place provides excellent value for money, comfortable and peaceful rooms and a good base to explore from.

My fiancé and I stayed here for a couple nights and we were happy with the room and service. The front desk staff deserve great praise for going beyond their call of duty. The girl at the reception even went out of her way to print something for us, which we were very grateful for. The room was clean, comfortable, and included a nice patio - perfect for drinking beer and watching the street below.

I stayed in a 4-bed female dormitory for two nights, and it was very good. The hostel is very close to bus and tram stop called Angerbrueke, Strassenbahnhof. It takes about 10-15 mins to the city centre. Google map, however, has not yet included Leipzig's tram routes so the hostel seems to be far from public transportation on Google map, but it is not. The bed is comfortable and clean. Each bed has its only curtain, light and socket. There are two bathrooms and an additional toilet shared by perhaps 8-10 people, but I didn't need to wait for toilet when I was there. The bathrooms are very clean and spacious. There is also a bar and a garden. The only thing is that my room is facing the street, so it can be very noise when the windows are open. But it's not too loud when you close the window or have earplugs. I slept very well when statying there. Sometimes the WiFi doesn't work, but I think they are trying to sort it out, hopefully it will be fixed very soon. Oh, and they have a curious, playful, friendly and very beautiful cat.

The Suites Hotel is a bit outside of the downtown Leipzig area, but there are convenient train connections - with the stations about a 5-7 minute walk away (you can by train tickets at the desk). It is walking distance from Helmholtz University (where I was working). The suites are big and spacious, the beds comfortable, the internet connection good, and the bathrooms spacious. There are only a limited number of English t.v. stations, but many in German, of course. My shower shot from too-hot to too-cold, but I managed. Everything else about the room was fine. The breakfast was wonderful and diverse, and changed from day to day. The restaurant for dinner was just ok (but there aren't many other eating options in walking distance, except a supermarket in the same building). The building itself is bright and airy with open sky lighting and a glass elevator. Best of all, the price was relatively inexpensive, especially considering the confort and the room. Overall, a nice stay.

I came to Leipzig to see the zoo. I found the hotel through a booking site, though I booked directly with the hotel. The hotel is very clean, the front desk staff quite helpful. The location is not super -- it's not next door to the train station, but it's just a few stops on the 4 or 15 streetcar lines. Once I didn't have luggage, I used the the street car. It turns out that the hotel is down the street from some publishing facilities and near the Grassi Museum für angewandte Kunst (for applied art). I hadn't heard of the museum, but I'm interested in arts/crafts, so I ended up spending about 4 hours there.

We came across the hotel by chance, as many in the centre were booked up owing the to the Leipzig Book Fair. We were very pleased we did because it was the best hotel we stayed in, from all points of view, during our 3-week holiday in Germany, particularly because of the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, especially Frau Pohlmann. They even produced a daily bulletin for guests, detailing helpful information such as events, things to see, weather forecast, etc. We were given a very nice quiet room at the back of the hotel and a complimentary bottle of sparkling water on arrival. The hotel was very conveniently placed near to the tram stop so it was convenient for getting into the centre, and there were bakeries and a supermarket nearby. We cannot recommend the hotel enough. These people know what they are doing and do it very well. (Breakfast is provided but we didn't try this.)

Leipzig City Center
We enjoyed our stay in the Felix hotel in Leipzig. One step outside, and you’re immediately in the city centre (and on the Christmas market of course). We were pleased with our room, which had a comfortable bed and nice bathroom. The kitchenette was very practical as well. However, I must say that I found the price a bit too high compared with the service. The entrance is not very easy to find and the reception is on the 6th Floor, which is not extremely welcoming. There is no showergel or shampoo in the room, the least I would expect to be present when booking a hotel room. No hairdryer either in our (XS) room. However, we could go lend one at the reception (had to wait for a day before there was one available). If you can lend it, then why not provide hairdryers in all the rooms, instead of only in the expensive ones? The (magnetic?) key to our room (and others as well) didn’t function well. Only opened after 5 or 6 tries most of the times. To reach our room, we had to take 2 elevators (our part of the building was not available with the first elevator): so first go to the 6th floor (reception), then walk through two corridors, take the second elevator to the 2nd floor and then we reached our corridor. In our corridor, there were 5 or 6 elderly people who obviously lived there, with nurses taking care of them in a common room, like in a home for elderly people. Of course, we didn’t have the slightest problem with that, but it was a bit weird of course, since you Don’t expect it in a hotel. The staff was kind, but not too kind either. We didn’t eat in the hotel So I can’t comment on that. In conclusion: we were pleased with our stay because of the nice little room (not the view sadly), and the amazing location: right in the city centre. Next time, we will try another hotel, because for the price we paid, we didn’t get the basic features you normally get in a hotel.

Amazingly low £51 paid for double room for one night. Really clean everywhere, very friendly staff. 80s decor. Used the bar / restaurant area and 24 hour shop (machines serving essentials) for chocolate, water and beer. No air con so had windows open all night; it was a quiet area and could hear a normal conversation on the pavement below our room. A lovely hotel that we would definitely use again. Had free transport in hotel booking and used tram to get to the city centre. Leipzig is lovely, great atmosphere with a lot of culture, plenty to see and do. We walked to and from the war memorial too - a must do.

Excellent luxurious modern hotel at a central location, just across the street from the main railway station. Very spacious rooms with large bathrooms and nice sturdy beds. Breakfast has limited choices but everything is frash and looks and tastes perfect. The staff was neat, welcoming and helpful. I could discover only one minor disadventage: the pillows are pretty soft and don’t provide enough support during the night.

The elevator is old and young, but the lobby downstairs provides free lemonade, very rare, walking distance to the University of Leipzig and the nearby business district. Leipzig has no bright spots overall. It was originally full of expectations for the campus. I did n’t want to be in the business district, without the shadow of the oldest university in Europe.

In the Center of the beautiful old city of Leipzig, in an impressive historical building is this luxury hostel, all new, chic interior design, well decorated and posh furniture. Clean and tidy rooms with a large toilet and shower room, magnificent balcony that is well orchestrated with the outer astonishing design of the historical building. A useful book library of art and design that enriches the views while on sight seeing outdoors. The staff is kind, stylish and helpful. I’ve enjoyed a wonderful morning coffee on the balcony with great company, fantastic advices and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended.

It seems to me that this hotel is not ready. Mall at the side and first floor of the hotel are not done (If you get a room at the second floor, you can listen to noise through the pipes; do not use the stairs, only the lift). Frontdesk members are competent but slow (only one employee in the evening when everyone wants to check-in ?). Hotel situation is really central, near St Thomas church. Many shops in the near. Floors and rooms are good quality. We found that the mattresses are hard, complementary bed (e.g. for a child) is a transformable sofa (very hard). No international channel on TV (only german). Breakfast is standard continental, nothing really fancy here. Hotel parking is not done at the moment, so you have to park in a public mall parking. Expect to pay 15EUR for a night (that you can't pay with the hotel room). In short: I think that if you can get a good promotion, this hotel is a decent choice. Otherwise I'll choose another one.

At the back of the central station is this new 5* hotel. Public parking is 100m away at a rate of €15 per day. We booked a rook for €85 per night and it was fantastic! Great bed, great bath room, lovely amenities and lot of technic in the room. For example, if you get out of bed in a dark room, a small light turns on to show you the way. The hotel is conveniently located and from here, it is a 10minutes walk to the Markt. Only negative comment: when I booked the room, I made the comment that we would check in on my birthday. The man at the reception did not pay any attention to this, not even after I completed the check in form with my date of birthday. That was disappointing to me with respect to service but apart from that I would definitely go back to this place! At the central station (100-200m walk) there are plenty of places where you can buy breakfast.
