Kuala Lumpur
|4.4km from city centerThe hotel should be renovated from an old residence. The lobby is very splendid. In addition to the counter, there is a self-service registration machine and lemonade as a welcome drink. There is often only one waiter at the counter, but he is polite.
There is a big gap between the decoration of the room and the lobby. The decoration of the room is old, the yellow split-type air conditioner makes a whirring sound, the bathroom floor has stains that cannot be removed, and the pillowcases also have the same problem. Fortunately, they are stained but not odorless. There is no toothpaste or toothbrush provided in the room.
The triple room has a spacious space, a microwave, a refrigerator, a thermos, and a swimming pool on the ground floor.
There is a free Go KL bus near the hotel, but the route takes you around residential areas and is not worth taking. It takes 10-15 minutes to walk to Aeon and is connected to Sunway Velocity via the subway underground passage. These two shopping malls can solve shopping and dining problems.
Take the Green Line of the Metro to Exit D of Maluri Station (Aeon), go straight, pass the bus stop and the intersection.
Overall, the price of the hotel and the convenience nearby are not high and it is worth staying.

|1.95km from city centerThis was my second time staying at Oakwood Hotel & residence. They never disappoint us, cleanliness was tip top. Cleanliness was always the first priority. The staff's service was very good. Few points that could improve is the room's soundproofing, there were some tenants/guests were very talking very loud at middle of the night. Secondly, the car park will charge RM2.

|8.08km from city centerCheck in: Very long Q took about half an hour with luckily our Q has the most efficient counter staff. The counter staff is good and friendly.
Buggy : Quite fast and polite. However parking entrance attendant attitude can be improved as this is a 5stars hotel.
Room : Space comfortable and cozy if add a tissue box will be more great. One of the pillow case still with stain and have weird smell. The pillow not bouncy.
Amenities: the lobby is nice and grand. Swimming pool looks luxurious. The gym is the most impressive 👍🏻.
Breakfast : The staff attitude needs to be improved. Food tastes average. Table spaces are cramped and close to one another (beside the window area, when walking back from taking our food, it is difficult to walk back our table)
Location : if you looking for quiet place M resort is a good option however if you are looking to visit others location you need to drive as this area without public transport.
Overall is good but services can be improved to be excellent. Btw thanks for the birthday cake ❤️

|1.68km from city centerNice suite in a good location. Booked the room for two nights. After checking in at 6 AM I had to change rooms at noon. That was a little bit inconvenient. This hotel doesn't have a front desk. For checking in and checking out you have to call a number and someone is coming 10 to 15 minutes later. When leaving, I was checking out at 5 AM to catch an early flight. I called and waited 20 minutes but nobody came. When I called the number again, the same person, sounding very sleepy answered. He probably fell asleep again after the first call. Finally 15 minutes later somebody came to check me out and return the security deposit.

|1.66km from city center1. Need to put more hotel signs .. Coz the hotel was slightly hide in the plants at the in front area.. The grab car difficult to find the pick up area..we used the bank location for pick up area.. Just next to the hotel
2. Need to put towel rack in the toilet instead just a hook. Really need.. Coz we sometimes re wear our pants/jeans.
3. Hotel smell sooooo good.. The hand soap, body and hair shampoo also smell sooooo nice.. Relaxing smell
4. The toilet must have a bidet or water hose.. For the easy use for muslim travellers 😊
5. Super fast check in & check out process 😍
6. Great ambience with great smell.. Will come back again soon

|1.61km from city centerThis review contains positives and honest negatives…
Positives:
- Incredible design & architectural work.
- Outdoor bathtub/shower & hanging chair.
- Delicious breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant included in my rates [pictures attached]! (I spent 3 days a Lloyd’s Inn - you can only select one of two items each day, but they’re different each day & absolutely delicious!! They’re restaurant quality prepared, not buffet style, but truly delicious! I’d return just for the breakfasts! P.S. friends at other hotels can walk-in and enjoy the breakfast/lunch/dinner in the hotel’s restaurant).
- Bed is not bad compared to other hotels, but pillows could be a bit more comfortable.
- Crisp & cool AC.
- Samsung Smart TV.
- Friendly staff.
- 5-10mins walk to the new TRX Exchange Mall & Metro.
- 10-15mins walk to city centre Pavilion Mall, Fahrenheit88 Mall etc.
- Grab takes 10-15mins to Petronas Towers and Kuala Lumpur Tower depending on traffic & time of day (includes China Town).
- 10/15mins Grab ride to KL Sentral if you’re taking the AirPort Express train.
Negatives:
- Sound proofing is not great at all… It’s a huge problem but also not really the hotel’s fault. Two of the three nights I was kept up by an open air restaurant/bar across the way where they sang songs on loudspeakers well into the night. This in turn affected travellers with children because children were screaming due to not sleeping, and as a result I could not sleep. I’d definitely encourage Lloyd’s Inn’s Management to organise a sit down meeting with that restaurant bar to negotiate a “cut off time”.
- The outdoor concept design is truly incredible… I haven’t experienced this before and I’ve travelled around Asia. However, this brings forth issues - bugs! Ants & mosquitos in particular. Tip: don’t turn on the outdoor bathroom light at all and spray mosquito repellent all around the bathtub.
- Check the outdoor bath for ants that falls from the outdoor plants and climb in from the bottom of the tub. I was relaxing in the bathtub and saw at least 10 ants on my arm! Needless to say, I used the shower thereafter haha. The staff did, however, come and spray bug repellent after asking - super staff!
- Because the toilet is located in the shower area, during the day when it’s hot outside, that area reeks of the smell of urine. That’s one area that the hotel can take better care in, since it’s an ‘outdoor’ shower concept, the cleaning staff can hose down that area after guests check out.
Once again… I’ll definitely return to this hotel. Truly love the design, concept and the restaurant dining. Thanks to all the staff - you’re awesome! I’ll definitely also stay at Lloyd’s Inn at their branches around Asia as I have now learned that they have plenty across Asia!

|2.64km from city centerOur stay, although only the 1 night started badly from the moment we arrived. We discovered the hotel has no reception in the lobby. I was instructed to message the host & he would come & meet & greet us. After being kept waiting for 35 minutes I messaged again asking if this is normal & got a reply ”it is for us” then I suggested they shouldn't keep guests waiting to which I received another reply of ”it's called queue, not waiting. I then received a message from a different number who then presented himself to my wife & I which my wife said to her surprise he had been sitting outside opposite her for the past 20 minutes. He then showed us to our room which we found very spacious & quite comfortable. We were then asked for payment which I produced my credit card only to be told cards were not accepted, only cash. Having just flown in from Thailand we were not carrying a lot of local currency on us. What hotel in a large bustling city does not offer credit card facilities. This was a first for us. I then had to proceed in trying to find a nearby ATM without luck. I received numerous messages & calls from the gentleman with him even coming to our room at 10.30pm to collect payment which at this time I explained I hadn't found any so would have to make payment next morning. This is totally unacceptable. The room itself although nice lacked basic amenities which included no soap in the bathroom, only a half roll of toilet tissue which I had to go & buy extra, no bath mat or hand towels, tea or coffee facilities, a TV with no working channels tuned in. Overall our stay was disappointing & I probably wouldn't consider staying here again unless these issues were addressed.

|0.25km from city centerSo far the best customer service I’ve experienced in a KL hotel. Concierge and reception particularly were just exceptional. Wet Bar, Woodbar and Willow staff were equally fantastic. The food at Willow and Wet Bar were excellent and Woodbar had Ramadan food which looked very nice. Gym and pool had good views and well laid out. I will definitely be returning. Brenna at reception, you made me feel like a well loved guest. In addition the location was great.

|0.35km from city centerWe arrived at reception with a room booked months before. We had booked on Agoda. Star Residences Art Apartment KL, owner Alexander Polyakov, 5 nights. At the reception which is not a real reception but a station for the security guards, they tell us that we have to call the host. We send him a message on whatsapp and he doesn't respond even after viewing it. He also ends calls. Thanks to the kindness of the guard at the reception who lent us his phone, we immediately contacted Agoda. The host doesn't seem to be responding to them either. Moral cancellation of reservation. The option offers refund or other accommodation. We ask to find us another accommodation. In the meantime, time passes and it is getting dark. Do not book with this host, he is not serious at all. While waiting, I open the booking app and find a room in a residence that on the map seems very close to where we were. I pay in cash and I book. Residence klcc which fortunately are apartments in the usual building of the first. So there's no need to move. Fingers crossed in the hope that the host responds this time. He responded, came immediately and saved the day for us. Since it was 5pm on the same day, the price was really discounted. Agoda refunded us immediately. Apartment, nice, spacious, clean. Mitiu (I don't know if his name is spelled like that) was very helpful, he even got us a pot to cook pasta. The Petronas in sight, panoramic swimming pool on the attic, central area. I recommend this residence but please do not book apartments owned by Alexander in residence star one because you risk sleeping on the street. Opt for klcc residences and possibly with Mitiu which is a guarantee.

Bukit Jalil
Kuala Lumpur
|12.59km from city centerThis is a relatively new property located directly adjacent (or across the street, depending on how you look at it) to one of the newest attractions in Bukit Jalil, i.e. Pavilion 2. The hotel itself is situated within a retail mall known as Aurora Place, with multiple eateries and shop-lots available here, in addition to hundreds more at Pavilion, for the benefit/convenience of those who stay here. This was my first ever visit to Bukit Jalil... and to summarize the review of my two-night stay here, below are the major pros and cons of this hotel, based on my personal observations: Pros: 1. As mentioned in my 1st paragraph above, the location is extremely strategic. F&B places are easily accessible and mostly within walking distance. Plus, a simple matter of crossing a pedestrian walkway to get to the Pavilion Mall. 2. The rooms (or suites) here easily cater for travelers with small families, with two beds in each unit. 3. This being a relatively ”new” hotel, most of the furniture and fittings still look pretty new or are in good condition. 4. Lastly, the rooftop swimming pool offers a nice view of the surroundings (and also as far as the KL city skyline). Cons: 1. Probably the biggest letdown of staying here was the fact that the hotel does not subsidize parking fees for their guests; the reason being that the car park belongs to the Aurora Place mall and is therefore not under the hotel's management. However, with no other free or cheaper options available within the hotel's vicinity, the parking fees per day (and per night) do contribute a significant addition to your hotel fees here! 2. The hotel management also needs to put in more emphasis on pest control. I have managed to see ants and other ”creepy crawlies” either within my unit or outside at the corridors.

Clean bed linen, towels. There were two soaps in the bathroom and that was it. Bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste and toilet paper.
Cons: I opened the closet, there is a mountain of towels, I don’t know if they are clean or dirty. And someone left their jeans in the desk.

|6.77km from city centerBooked for two nights, not my first time staying in this hotel. Room is very very spacious and the front desk is nice enough to give me a room on the high levels. Lobby is currently under renovation, so there's noise. But I stayed in Level 18, can't hear anything from my room, so it doesn't bother me. Only 2/4 of elevators open as some parts are covered for the upgrading.

|4.8km from city centerMy recent stay at The Establishment KL Sentral by Loop Suites on the 33rd floor was nothing short of spectacular. The room provided a spacious retreat equipped with all the amenities one could desire, including a pool and sauna, making it a truly indulgent experience.
Spacious Serenity:
From the moment I entered the room, the sense of space was immediately apparent. The layout was thoughtfully designed, providing ample room to move around comfortably. The complete facilities, including the pool and sauna, added an extra layer of luxury to the overall stay.
Sky-High Views:
The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the breathtaking views from the 33rd floor. During the day, the panorama offered a picturesque scene, but it was during the night that the magic truly unfolded. The city lights created a mesmerizing spectacle, turning the view into a dynamic and vibrant display.
Cash Deposit Notice:
One thing to note is that the hotel requires a cash deposit upon check-in to cover potential incidental expenses. While this was mentioned in advance, I appreciated the transparency and openness about the policy. It's always helpful for guests to be aware of any additional financial requirements before arriving at the hotel.
To make the check-in process even smoother, I would recommend future guests prepare the required cash amount in advance. This way, you can avoid any last-minute inconveniences and start your stay on a positive note.

|0.59km from city centerI lived in front for 5 days. After I went back to Penang, I stayed for another 4 days. I booked a suite, which is equivalent to two bedrooms and two halls. The kitchen and kitchen are complete. It is close to the Twin Towers and the Kuala Lumpur Tower. It takes 5 minutes to walk. The room deco was kinda old and worn out, tiles of bath tub was broken with tape covering, curtains was stained with brown patches, wall ceiling was torn with water dripping, condition of the room was quite bad.
The gd things are, shopping mall are just downstairs, with supermarkets and eateries, 7-11 etc..very convenient! Hope they will refurbish their rooms so that more customers willing to return back to stay. I would rather book and stay at the hotel instead of apartment. Bukit Ceylon
Kuala Lumpur
|1.33km from city centerLOCATION About 2 min walk from the busy pubstreet in Bukit Bintang, the building itself is unique, whitewashed with an attractive façade of verandahs and wall-sized glass amidst the neighboring towers. LOBBY The style is simple, minimalistic, modern and functional. SERVICE We stayed about 3 days after the hotel commenced operations, so it was stunning and sublime to use the new rooms. The room we had was a virgin room, as everything was unopened, unused. Security good and parking available. Restaurant not yet in use during stay. The chinese desk clerk was very helpful, professional and kind. He even helped us carry luggage to our uber on check-out. ROOMS We were upgraded to family room as the standard rooms were fully occupied. The open wardrobe plan design with lots of storage space is a plus for travellers. All the sockets were internationally adaptable and fitted with USB ports, meaning no need to bring and borrow. Well Done! The wallpaper was a large black and white photograph of the community life from the past, splashed with bright yellow paint at certain spots. The grey+white+yellow carpet matched the painting adding warmth and comfort to our toes. The bed was X-Large, super comfy and a torment to leave. The night lamp was beautifully designed. Bathroom clean complete with Borneo products and amenities (eco-friendly using recycled paper) while laundry bag and slippers provided. There is a tea and coffee with 8 sugars but only 2 creamers, would need to add more. As it was the last day of the year 2019, we raced to the roof to see the midnight fireworks from the KL tower. We were amongst a small crowd of couples and friends wishing peace, health and prosperity for the world. SUMMARY Would highly recommend! CITY OASIS!

|2.37km from city centerStaying for 1 night on 7 June 2019 with my family. This time we took a Deluxe room. I book the room through booking.com. Upon check in, i presented my ID but they still asking me for the booking number which i don't have with me at that time. It's seem that they really didn't welcome my arrival as the my room rate I get from booking through booking.com is more cheaper than their published rate. Through my previous experience checking in the hotel which I booked from booking.com, the hotel never request of the booking number and only enough with my Identity card and they can manage to find my booking number. But not with this Lavana Hotel. I really felt unwelcome with their staff action towards me. Room doesn't have any telephone or in house intercom. What if there is a request? Then I have to come down to receptionist to request and this cause inconvenience. But most importantly, what if there is an emergency? I did ask the staff at the front desk about the telephone, but their answered was so disappointed. The answered I get from the staff ”Actually, That room doesn't have telephone”. They didn't even try to apologize and try to rectify the issue. Upon entering the room, they didn't even provide any towel. We have to go down and ask for the towel. If you want to have peaceful sleep, don't stay at this hotel as you can hear people talking from the next door. This hotel does not have sound proof wall. The only different between standard room and Deluxe room is only that the deluxe room equipped with a window. The size of the room and facilities and amenities are the same. Upon checked out, they asked me to wait for a while and after few minutes I came back, they claimed that I already check out and already returned the cash deposit to me which I never received it yet. To kill the time waiting, I just go out for 5 minutes for a smoke and when I'm back they told me that I already check out and they already returned the deposit cash (which I haven't receive). So unprofessional!! After confronting with the staff, they finally returned my cash deposit. The good thing about this Hotel is the location as it is near to LRT station and to Petaling street market. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS HOTEL AGAIN!!!
