0.09km from IntroTo ask Zakynthos for a friend who is looking for the descendants of the sun, this must be the best choice. Absolutely tailored for the Chinese. The main location of this Jingdezhen city is excellent. There is no elevator. But if you work hard, you will come up. They will also help. It may be a little noisy on the street. But this landscape and the rare experience of the balcony scenery, passers-by will look at your envy of the location is good ^o^. Not far from the turtle spot. We rent a car by ourselves. Convenient a lot. Because I often get used to driving overseas, it is not difficult to open. Pay attention to the suspension of the stop "stop" just fine. Prepare yourself for breakfast. The location of the lunch is not bad, too expensive~
0.14km from IntroAlthough not the first hotel I wanted to stay in, Ctrip's customer service did their best, the room was speechless, and the double bed was made up of two beds. . . There is a charging socket on the bedside. The water is salty. Go to the supermarket and buy some spring water. The legendary city view is looking at the other wall of the hotel.
The only good thing is that the breakfast is really good and my Greeks are quite satisfied. Recommend the traditional desserts in Tuli, super delicious! !! !! Greek yogurt is super delicious if you add some honey. If you check out early in the morning, you can tell the staff that you can take some breakfast to take away.
Finally, for off-season travel, the price / performance ratio is still okay. . .

0.28km from IntroBreakfast can be, the location of the hotel is good, behind the bar street, the bar is downstairs, the window is closed at night, the sound insulation is better, there is not much impact. There is a man at the front desk of the hotel. I am really not talking about it! It completely affected the hotel's good impression to the guests! The first day to stay at the hotel, recommend us a day trip, this recommendation I can fully understand, but we need to discuss it again, he is not happy in an instant, that expression and tone, bad reviews! ! In addition, we came back from the outside, two foreigners were staying, he greeted us, and then shrugged shoulders at the two foreigners! ! A few meanings ~ that kind of expression action seems like we are **? ! Personal English is also very heavy, and I feel very good! The most atmospheric thing is that the day before said to give us a call to the plane, this thing we confirmed three sides! ! ! The last time was that we went back to the room at night and told him again at the front desk! ! He said OK! The next day we waited downstairs on time! I haven't got a car for a long time! Originally, he also said that it is just right to go to the airport at this time, but if the car is late, then we are likely to miss the opportunity! Time is limited. He did not hand over the next successor to the colleague. We asked, the female front desk did not know, and then called him to complain a lot! Then tell us that the car is on the way, but I haven't come for a long time! It is not good to play in that place. It takes time, I also stopped the car, it is very troublesome! ! He not only caused trouble to his colleagues! Also caused us trouble! Finally, another hotel staff member gave us a temporary taxi. The drivers are all close to each other, but there is no delay. Every country has a person who has lost face to the people! I hope everyone can maintain a modest attitude and respect each other!

0.45km from IntroThe appearance of the hotel is good, the service attitude is poor, give me a room that is too small for my suitcase to be flat. I went to the front desk and asked for a room change. I also gave me a room with eight air-conditioning hosts outside the balcony. The noise is very big, I gave it to Ctrip, indicating that I will change the room for me. I went to the front desk to borrow needles, or the woman said no, and another woman gave me a box of needles. The old woman at the front desk had a bad attitude. It is recommended to prepare a careful consideration for this hotel. The bed in the room is placed against the wall, which is inconvenient. The bedside table is a magazine-sized wooden board nailed to the wall. This is the worst value for money hotel during the 20-day trip. More than 900 can have other Better choice
0.52km from IntroI didn’t expect Zhadao to be so hot. The entire Greek tour hotel was very well booked. In addition to the selection of several houses in Zhadao, I saw that this house also had a three-person room. I decided to have a public transportation. We did not see any public transportation. The car rental came out from the station and saw the taxi with the driver. It was clear to the driver that it was 10 minutes before turning left and right. It was a little old but the equipment was still full of flowers on the window sill. Good-looking also makes the hotel very conspicuous. It is very good to find the variety of breakfasts that go to the door every time. It’s a pity that I only eat one day. The next morning, I’ll go to the plane one night in advance and the front desk grandfather asks if I can rent the grandfather. We have a good car. I am still worried about asking him if the driver is not on time to give me a call. I contact the driver. Grandpa said that I don’t have to worry about being on time. I am on the side of the cabin. I don’t come to knock on the door and call me. The next day, the taxi is really punctual. Appeared! Rely on! (By the way, the soft candy at the front desk is really delicious. I still remember it now.) There is a small step opposite the hotel. When you go straight to the sea, you can go to the sea when you are not in the sun. It’s a good time to see a lot of locals walking away. Clothes jumped down and stunned

0.67km from IntroDon't take part in a day trip to the hotel. It's a very boring sixty euros for a person, a child for 40, a strong hotel for 65 euros a day, a car rental is only forty or fifty euros driving, is the most correct choice, I do Airport bus to the bus station, walk to the hotel 1.8 Euro. Blue hole plus Shipwreck Bay 20 Euro per person, children free. It is worth going to go to Greece, Zhaji is a must, it is beautiful. Ctrip is a very responsible booking network, the price is the cheapest, no matter what other international reservations are booked.

1.23km from IntroThe hotel is on the hill. There is a shuttle bus to the town and the beach, but it depends on their time. The hotel is a bit of a sense of age. We booked a private pool suite but the pool was a bit dirty and there were corpses of bugs in it and there was no water. The room was generally ok. Dinner and breakfast were included but the dishes and taste were not good. There were only lazy ones in the hotel Big dog and a few cats like to follow you. When checking in, I explained a lot of things in detail. There is a free airport pick-up and dinner. You can't wear revealing clothes and drinks are charged separately. Overall it's ok!

1.33km from IntroThere are not many varieties of breakfast, but at least there are fried eggs, boiled eggs, bread, coffee, cereals and juices, which can meet the basic needs of the Chinese people. I arrived at the hotel early in the morning, there was no room left, I could only wait for someone to check out, but the hotel said that I could go to the restaurant for breakfast, but it was more humane. The location of the hotel is in the mountains, so you must consider renting a car when you come to live, otherwise you will feel that it is difficult to move.
1.37km from IntroI stayed here by myself and consider it a "lucky find". I wanted a clean room, air conditioning, a pool and away from the hustle and bustle of the town. This is exactly what I got! I was met by the english wife/owner who was lovely and very helpful. She showed me to my room and I was not disappointed. I also had a fridge and a lovely modern shower. Breakfast was an additional 3 euros and buffet style. I liked this: fresh melon, lovely brushettas, cake, bread, greek yogurt and honey and coffee. The location was around a 15 minute down-hill walk into Zakinthos Town. I wouldn't recommend to those who are inform or have young children as the walk was not straight forward and at times, you do need to keep your wits about you. There is only a pavement half of the way. I suppose it is an attitude of mind. I saw the most interesting sites and lovely views so to me, the walk was all part of the visit. Even the uphill walk back seemed to be quicker than the downhill walk there... still haven't worked that one out yet! Just to add, I asked for a taxi at the end of a meal (in the evening) and the restauranteurs were only too happy to arrange this. 7 euros from the far side of Zakinthos town. The central courtyard of Lofos Strani was beautiful. Flowers, fig trees and plans. Very lush and mediterranean, just as I had hoped. The pool was clean and welcome. There were loungers around the pool so I spent some happy hours reading and dipping. For families, there is an area that is separated with shallow water for young children to play safely. There were some steep drop-offs around the pool so for toddlers, this could pose a problem. Just under 3 m at one end and shallow at the other, it was big enough (and deep enough) to jump in and swim to cool off. Just divine. My room was cleaned daily. The air conditioning was effective. The bed was firm but comfortable. My balcony and my view was over the courtyard with the hills in the distance. I visited Zakinthos about 30 years ago and staying in a taverna. I tried to re-create this experience but with a few (in my opinion) necessary modernities. Logos Strani ticked all the boxes. Just lovely.

We had researched this hotel on TripAdvisor before booking and we were not disappointed! The room was spacious and clean, with a fantastic view from the balcony. The mosquito screens were useful and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, with a big variety of delicious local food. Variety was introduced to the breakfast each day which added interest too.For example, different types of fruit and even home made cakes. All areas of the hotel were clean and well presented. The pool was lovely, never crowded despite the hotel being full. Comfortable sun loungers always available. We particularly liked the visiting swallows who could be seen near the pool every day. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and polite, including the bar staff, breakfast staff, cleaners and gardener. Management very very helpful, arranging taxis, trips and even printing out boarding passes for us. Although most guests hired a car, we decided that we wanted full relaxation so avoided this. Instead, we used the hotel shuttle service to get to the lovely local beach. (You can ask for a lift there at 10am or 1pm and the extremely friendly and reliable driver collects you back at 5.) To explore the island, we used organised trips, available at reception. These actually worked out cheaper than hiring a car and then catching boats independently.(Ours were 30 euros each) There is a good restaurant on site and a shop nearby. Also a nice Taverna called The Windmill 5 minutes away. Eco wise, we would be happy to manage without plastic straws in drinks. We can't wait to return to this beautiful hotel!
What an amazing villa complex this is even though it’s set in the heart of tsilivi with what is a couple of busy roads it’s a very tranquil place to be. Angela and her team are brilliant very attentive and can’t do enough for you. The cleaners come round twice a day 1st to drop the pool towels off and clean the pool/outside areas then later in the day to change towels and clean the whole villa. The pool is checked and cleaned every day and the gardens taken care of. On arrival we were shown around the villa by Angela she explained were everything was the welcome basket is great fresh fruit milk and cereals and bread plus 6 cans of sprite 6 cans of Amstel and 6 cans of coke chilled in the fridge just perfect The sea is 100meters away there’s 2 supermarkets just across the road one next to the half way house restaurant never ate here so can’t comment. The summertime bar is brilliant and unlike some comments I’ve seen doesn’t play music to the early hours most nights it was turned off at midnight and a great little chill out bar We were a family of 5 and can’t wait to come back to these villas everything about the villas and staff are perfect the only little niggle would be could do with a bigger safe and put a safe in every bedroom but all the doors and windows are good quality and actually lock properly and the entire complex is gated and has a very good CCTV system. Angela and her team should be very proud because the service they offer is excellent can’t wait to come back The Willis family
It’s very close to the small town of Zakynthos, but with Shipwreck Bay in the northernmost part of the island and in the southernmost part. There is a swimming pool. Basically, all foreigners stay in. The breakfast is also very good. They are eaten by foreigners, but the Chinese stomach can barely eat it.
A wonderful find. Booked on Airbnb, and from the start the communication with the excellent host, Nikos, was superb. The villa itself was smart, clean and tidy with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was about a 15 minute walk to the beach in one direction and about 20 minutes to the port in the other. It was good to be a little more remote and away from the main "resorts". We hired a car for a few days to get a feel of the island, and that just made us appreciate the spot we had with our villa even more. A friendly "supermarket" was just a couple of hundred yards down the road, and a an excellent messe restaurant just a little further. The sea is crystal clear and warm. I can't believe I hadn't been to Greece before - the country, the people, the food - simply wonderful. Thank you Nikos. I look forward to coming back again soon.
Being well travelled people but never having been to Greece or any of The Greek Islands, which one do we choose ? Advised by friend of friend of friend etc, go to Zante and stay at The Alykes Garden Village, it wil suit you down to the ground. They were definitely right. From our large room and balcony looking towards the mountains was lovely to our accommodating host Jimmy and his family. The relaxing area and Alykes village and beach and restaurants along the way were second to none but the best part of our holiday were the days spent pool side relaxing and enjoying Jimmy's hospitality at his Pool Side Bar, the food was delicious from traditional greek salads to burgers and pizza and a lot more ( all home made ) I have read as many comments as I can, mostly positive but some negative towards Jimmy, what I can say is Jimmy could not help us enough withall of our needs even organising a lift back for us from a resturant. Different strokes for different folks, if you want to stay in a big impersonal hotel then stay there or go and stay at The Alykes Garden Village and meet Jimmy and his lovely family. We have already booked again for next September, see you there !! Kind thoughts to you Jimmy and your lovely family , Laszlo and Kate xx
The stay at Valentino apartments exceeded our expeactations. The apartment was spacious and well maintained with a lovely shady patio with table & chairs. Cleaning and change of linen/towels was very good. The lady who undertakes the cleaning tasks is an amazing workaholic! It is in a good location in walking distant to the fruit market, food shops, several tavernas and some lovely beaches. A great deal of thought has been put into the layout of the buildings and the pool area which means that guests can have privacy and there was always plenty of seating in the communal area of the pool and bar.The highlight however is the host/owner, Nana. She arranged our taxi from & to the airport and provided a wonderful buffet breakfast each morning which is unusual for apartment accommodation. Nothing was too much trouble. She recommended and arranged a fantastic day boat trip for us. She showed great concern knowing we were part of the Thomas Cook difficulties and readily agreed to allowing us to stay on at the accommodation without extra charge. She is the kindest person. I would highly recommend this accommodation and the area of Vasilikos for anyone looking for a quiet village area near several beaches for a very relaxing break. We certainly had a wonderful holiday.Thank you Nana.

Chose this accommodation after all the reviews of the place and it does not disappoint. We went with love holidays and it was very simple to book and everything went well. The airport was very quick in Zante, we had self-booked a hire car but because we didn't have a credit card they wouldn't give it to us - so cancelled that and paid a Taxi only 28 Euros to take us to Limni. The apartments are very basic, we didn't have pans or a tea-towel etc but just ask Georgios and it was no problem. Our towels were changed daily and the bedding a couple of times. The apartment could do with some TLC and the balconies didn't offer the privacy I would prefer but we got on well with the neighbours so was ok in the end. The only thing we didn't really like was the mattress, this was too hard for us, although other guests said they preferred that. The AirCon is free fantastic and will only work when the patio doors are closed. The beach is lovely, some areas sandy others had some rocks and if you follow the cove around you can find some private areas off the rocks which were great for snorkelling. Take care to wear sandals as we saw a number of sea urchins around the submerged rocks. We hired a boat and went to turtle island and up the coast; this was great cost 80 Euros for 4 hours and we booked through Georgios (his cousin). The Try Dive Scuba cost 50 Euros and was amazing, is available most afternoons for a 35 minute dive (that is enough if you have never tried it before) and takes most of the afternoon with boat travel etc added on). We would defiantly love to return to this resort in the future but would probably look for alternate accommodation with softer beds.
Was thinking of 2.5, it a bit less than average. We had all inclusive option, stayed for 9 nights. Good point - location. The beach is just across the street and that furniture within the room is a bit more modern. Staff - some of them are amazing and really helpful! The receptionists, hotel manager and Markus! I'd give them 5 stars. The rooms are clean! The cleaning lady was amazing. Now, we got a double room instead of twin room. We specifically asked for two separate beds. I asked the reception straight away for a change, but we had to wait for 3 nights to get such room. The first room we got was tiny and poorly furnished (small double bed, mini fridge, small wardrobe, two bed tables and a TV + bathroom) and we felt terrible in there! Plus, the bed was tiny and we couldn't get a good sleep. With our neighbours, we had a common locked door through which we could hear everything. We saw a mouse and the air condition from the balcony above was dripping on our balcony so we couldn't even leave our towels to dry. Once we got moved to twin room, it was different. The room had more furniture (In both, the wardrobe was really small, but we got additionally a desk, a chair and coffee table). We also got bigger room and balcony and it didn't feel so claustrophobic any more. The bathroom is super awkward. The shower doesn't have any glass or material to be separated from the rest of the bathroom so everything gets wet. You don't have a space for your towels and very limited space for any cosmetics. Food - quite poor. Not very tasty, sometimes not fresh (we found stale tomatoes). During the breakfasts, the eggs got overdone and not edible. Food not marked as vegetarian. The chef offered me fish as vegetarian food. Other staff- either doesn't speak English, or can be sometimes unpleasant. Very often, they do not smile. Very loud music! Starting around breakfast and it's there till late night. Where you eat, where you swim, at your balcony. You hear it everywhere. You cannot hear your thoughts. I wouldn't come back there unless they would offer bed only option (a really cheap one though) and would stay there due to location only.
What a place, i wish there were more than five stars to appraise this little piece of magic. Apartments spotless, the whole facility is first class. Location 1 minute from the beach probably 30 seconds to be honest, then they have a beach bar with quality furnishings where service comes expertly with the biggest genuine warmth as if the people who run Casa Del Mar are your friends. Genuine warmth from meet to leaving Anna the owner is such an amazing women who offered time for a chat and explain questions with incredible depth whose English is so easy to understand. We are going back at the end of August mainly due to Anna and Casa Del Mar. Thank you so much Anna and your fantastic staff. Andy & Julie x
A really lovely hotel in a fantastic position and approximately 20 minute drive from the airport. On first arrival you notice how wonderful the hotel surroundings and pool area are. We stayed in one of the recently refurbished rooms that was finished to a high standard. It wasn't only the room that was of a high standard, but the rest of the hotel was of an equally good standard. Hillary and her team do an absolutely amazing job of making sure sure you have a relaxing holiday. The hotel was positioned between a few brilliant beaches, some of the best I have been to in Greece, and there were a number of restaurants nearby, all of a good standard. All in all a fantastic hotel and I would definitely recommend a visit to St Nicholas and staying at the Vasilikos Beach Hotel.
First family holiday to Zankythos and Kookis Village; we were certainly not dissapointed. Zante as an island is pretty with plenty too see and do. The more developed resorts of Laganas and Kalamiki were not to our taste - more geared around the younger visitors with lots of bars, nightlife etc. Limni Keri on the other hand was a relatively quiet small, beach front town probably 20 minutes drive from the airport with a range of tavernas. Kookis Village is a small complex of private villas, we had a one bedroom villa with a private pool. The complex is run by Anthonis and his family; who were all very friendly, polite and cheerful; they made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and throughout our stay. The villa itself was large with one large double bedroom with ensuite on the first floor and the two twin beds being formed form the sofa in the ground floor lounge area. There was also a bathroom on the ground floor and kitchen dining area. It was well appointed and spacious for the the four of us. The villa was well maintained and was absolutely spotlessly clean throughout. There was daily maid service and the towels were changed every two days, (not something we expected on a self catering holiday). The private pool was superb and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. Overall Kookis Village and Anthonis and his family were exceptional, it truly is a little gem. If you are visiting, we would highly recommend a hire car to get around the island. Highlights for us were the Blue Caves trip, the Shipwreck viewing point, dinner at Michaelis restaurant at sunset in Kambi, Denis Taverna, Windmill restaurant, (both on the main road between Keri and Laganas). Thank you again to Anthonis and his family.
We booked this holiday last minute to get away post lockdown. We had a few hotels to choose from and we were so pleased we chose memories. It is a small but perfectly formed hotel. Ideal for our stay. The host, Christos, can not do enough for you. He arranged everything we asked for including a hire car and a boat for the day (highly recommended). The service is impeccable and the hotel is extremely clean. Obviously in the current climate this is very beneficial. The breakfasts are great. The fruit and Greek yoghurt is amazing. There was loads of choice and i was never felt wanting. Whilst Laganas may not be everyones choice, Memories is an amazing base to explore. Christos is a great source of information. We would 100% return as there is so much to see and Memories is a fabulous base to explore.
Just spent the final week at Zante Sun Resort before it closes for winter. We’ve had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect, full sun at 27 degrees as it apparently has been all month! And we will definitely return. We found the food was lovely, my husband loved the pizzas and cooked breakfasts (as close to an english one as you can get abroad, and yes it’s true the hash browns weren’t quite right but you can’t win them all!). I thought the pork kebabs, stuffed aubergines and gyros were AWESOME and found the breakfast Greek ‘doughnuts’ delicious. Great selection throughout the day thank you. The rooms (we were 109, newer build overlooking the top pool) are modern, airy and clean and our balcony had afternoon sun most of the morning and all afternoon. It was BOILING! Beds were so comfy, two mattresses together and to my husbands delight, separate duvets! Bathroom high spec too. Some have commented the staff seemed a bit stand-offish in the restaurant but I thought they were professional and courteous and friendly. I’d much rather that than having them being all over you and constantly interrupting your meal so I was very happy with their service!!! Really helpful staff throughout. And I am so pleased there was no entertainment!! Not everyone goes abroad for manic, noisy evenings. Although there is a Sky bar open here in busy season from 11pm-2am so if your room is near that you have to be prepared for noise. Otherwise nip along to Laganas town there’s more than enough to entertain there! And life by the pool was fab. As it was end of season there were plenty of sun loungers. A choice of 5 hotel cocktails (I really loved the Zante Sun and a Full Moon) are part of all inclusive or you can pay for the real-deal ones. Usual beer, wine, ouzo, rum, whiskey etc. available with AI too. The afternoon snacks could be a bit better than just yesterdays leftovers, but the ice cream and popcorn were very welcome! A note on water - the tap water in rooms is not for drinking. Although water is provided at mealtimes and the pool bar will give you a glass of water on request, when we enquired about having extra drinking water for our room it was suggested that we buy our own bottled water. This seemed odd until I found out later that everyone on Zante, including the locals have to buy water for drinking/cooking due to the islands having lack of water treatment facilities. Buying water was no problem, it’s so cheap in the small supermarkets nearby, but could this be better explained on arrival?? However that didn’t mar our week at all, there is a fridge in the room so anything like water etc. can be kept cool there. It really is a lovely gem of a hotel especially as I understand it’s only rated 3-star, so many thanks we’ll be back soon!!
My two friends and I stayed at Hotel Natalie for a week in September. Hotel has a great location and is very close to some great bars/restaurants. However, when we arrived at our room the door and windows were left wide open and we found this highly unusual. We were being assisted by our rep who went into the room and noticed a very strong and pungent smell. It smelled like a vomit and sewage. We could not find an exact location for the smell but we were certain that it came from inside the room as it smelt fine outside. There were also cornflakes scattered left on the window sill, which signalled that it had not been cleaned efficiently. I spoke to a man at reception who told us that smell was due to recent rainfall and would most likely be gone by morning. I explained to him that we were not prepared to stay in that room, as the smell was so strong and made us all feel ill. He was highly rude and said we would not be moved tonight, but we could try in morning. As it was late and we had no other choice, we stayed in the room for one night. Throughout the night, the smell remained strong, there were loud noises coming from outside generators, and a constant tap tap noise. In the morning I went to reception to ask to be moved and was served by a king young man who apologised and moved us to a different room. He is the reason that I am not giving this place one out of five. The new hotel room was basic but fine. The bathroom could be cleaner and the shower had mould on it. The bathroom has no window or fan for ventilation. The rooms got very hot and you have to pay extra for aircon. The pool was perfectly fine and the food served at the pool bar was decent. Breakfast was okay. When we returned at night, we were very conscious about remaining quiet as to not disturb other guests. However every time we entered the hotel, we commanded to be quiet by the night porter, even though we had not made any noise. This made the hotel experience feel very unwelcoming. I feel as though Hotel Natalie do not value customer loyalty and will not be returning as a result.
Perfect location, block away from the strip so far enough to not hear or be woken by anything or anyone and close enough to just pop in and out of the strip when you please. Hotel was very clean and was cleaned everyday by the maid when we were there. All staff were very friendly and welcoming. You do have to pay a deposit when arriving and also for the safe, air con and WiFi. The best thing about the hotel is the pool, it is amazing so big and has a shallow and deep end with sun loungers all around. Small bar which serves food and drink which is very cheap and affordable and the food is good. If you need anything the staff are more than helpful in getting you what you need. Overall amazing little place and would definitely return and recommend to anyone who is thinking of going. I have read so many bad reviews on sunshine however they are fair to you until you disobey the rules they have set which is fair enough as you are shown them on arrival so if they don’t like them it’s your choice, they want to keep all guest happy as there are small children in the hotel too. Would give it more than 5 stars if I had the option!
The hotel on itself is marked as a 5-star resort that it's not. I would define it more likely as 3 stars and that's more than good marking. On the arriving, there was not a great welcome from the receptionist. I know it's COVID time but to be nicer with a smile would be better on a welcome. We were there staying for 5 nights. The pros of this hotels are free parking alongside the hotel, beach in front of the hotel, location. The cons of this hotel as many reviews before are food, cleanliness, "all-inclusive". On the arrival, we were told that the rooms are not cleaned every day due to COVID but every third day of your stay. This hasn't happened. We have stayed during COVID time in other hotels in Greece where we can have the room to be cleaned every day. This doesn't apply to this hotel. Next, the food in the restaurant was below the quality of the school kitchen. The drinks are included in all-inclusive package but not coffee. If you want coffee which is drinkable you have to pay 3,5€! Otherwise, you can drink coffee from a coffee machine which is horrible. If you want sunbed and umbrella on the beach it's again for money (i think it was 7€ per person). I am traveling a lot but asking money for a sunbed in 5 stars hotel has never happened to me. You can put your stuff on the sunbed near the pool (which are for free) which is constantly full so no chance. The alcoholic drinks or cocktails in the all-inclusive package are the local ones. If you'd like to have original drinks you to pay again extra. I would say as a 5 stars resort the service should be really improved but I think there is so much to be improved it's actually not possible. We have paid for the stay 180€ per night per room what is I think enough money. And what we've got was literally 3-star service with the very limited all-inclusive package. If you'd like to stay somewhere in Zakynthos please avoid this place in case you want 5stars experience. This hotel doesn't give this experience and you will fill ripped off. Next time I'd like to go somwhere else.
There are not many varieties of breakfast, but at least there are fried eggs, boiled eggs, bread, coffee, cereals and juices, which can meet the basic needs of the Chinese people.
We stayed here as a family for 9 nights at the end of May. The villa we stayed in was absolutely beautiful!! The villa was bigger than expected, as was the pool, and both were cleaned daily. The location was perfect for a quiet stay with the restaurants being literally a 5 minute walk away. I would, however, recommend hiring a car as the location is quiet, and Zante is a beautiful island with plenty to explore! Lia (the owner) was incredibly helpful and friendly, she organised our car hire and return airport transfer. She also permitted us a late check-out, so we could have a nice relaxing morning and shower prior to our return flight. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed the stay, and we will be recommending Alegria Villas to friends and family!!! Perfect :) Thanks!!!!!!
Greek self catering holidays are all about basic needs, ie a bed which is comfortable with clean sheets changed on a regular basis, a bin in the loo to be emptied daily, the floor to be washed over daily, towels changed along with the bedding and staff that don't necessarily have a good command of English but they try and smile alot. This added to a good sized studio with a sunny balcony, a view of the hills, peaceful yet just a short stroll through the Vanessa Hotel grounds to everything that you could possibly need, supermarket, tavernas, general shops, bakery, health care. You can also use the pool behind the studios and get something to eat there, appears to be part of the same complex but it's probably owned by a cousin or distant uncle. We couldn't fault these studios and so reasonably priced too.
Zante Calinica is an excellent choice if you want to have a great time in Zakynthos. The hotel is super clean and it offers an amazing breakfast with a variety of choices ranging from cold to warm food. The view from my room was stunning since the hotel is located on a hill. I could see the sea and also the pool which is good for both adults and kids. No worries if you don't know how to swim since the pool has both small and deep water. Next to the pool you also have a bar with amazing cocktails so if one day you don't feel like going to the beach, the hotel pool is a great way to relax. I liked that the hotel was not situated in a noisy area but it was still close to restaurants and bars, only 5-7 minutes walk. It is also very close to the beach. My favourite part was the staff. It is a family run business so they really care about their customers. I loved how everyone was smiling and they were friendly every morning when I went to breakfast. They were also very opened and liked to listen about other culture and they even tested some wine we brought from home. It felt like they were our friends. Dionisis gave us some great tips where to go on the island and how to travel smart. He was also very opened and entertaining and you could easily have a conversation with him. I will definitely go back to this hotel.
First the good things about the Astoria. The position right on the beach is fantastic. The views from the sea facing rooms are spot on. The reception staff are friendly and will help you if they can. The ice making machines on each floor were just the ticket. Now the not so good things. The hotel is stuck in a time warp and looks very tired. It needs a vast injection of cash, not so it makes it an ultra modern hotel but to make it up to date. The carpet on the stairs looks like it needs a good clean. I actually put back four stair rods that had come loose four days previous. What were the cleaning staff doing? On our first night when returning from our meal, we went to the bar. My wife asked for a vodka and tonic. Sorry no vodka. She then asked for a bacardi and coke. Sorry no bacardi. First and last visit to the bar. On the first morning we went down for breakfast. Not very inviting. We are not full English breakfast people so fruit, yogurt and toast is fine by us. But the fruit look like it was two days old. The butter was placed in bowl and looked like it had melted then reset and melted again. The bread was ok, but then bread is bread. Although we had paid for bed and breakfast we finished up buying fresh fruit and yogurt from the supermarket everyday, along with a jar of coffee, milk and sugar and turned our holiday into self catering. The rooms were cleaned to a point everyday but our cleaner must have been in a bit of a rush. The towels were changed often but when you have to go back to reception and ask for one to be replaced because it had rotted and ripped apart when used its not very good. The place Alykes is wonderful and we will be visiting again at some point. But will we be staying at the Astoria. I don't think so.
A wonderful hotel with stunning sea views close to the town of Tsilivi. We stayed here for 4 nights in September 2020 and cannot recommend it enough. The rooms are spacious and modern, the hotel is spotless and the staff could not be more helpful. The pool area is perfect for relaxing in the sun, and there is even a private rocky beach at the bottom of the cliff for swimming in the crystal clear sea. The location is a little out of town, but this is not an issue if you don't mind walking (15 - 20 mins) or paying for a taxi (6 euros each way to Tsilivi). Don't miss visiting Shipwreck Beach while you are in Zante!
We have just returned from a visit to paradise apartments. From the minute we got here we were made to feel welcome. The apartments are clean and well equipped and the pool is lovely. Sandra is the manager and she is more than happy to accommodate your every need. She is so kind and made us feel so welcome. Bob is also great, he is very friendly and will get you what you want. The beach is in walking distance, the water is shallow and warm. Lots of great trips around and the shops and bars are close (but not to close to annoy you). There is a Greek bar next door called Achilles which is amazing!!! Provide you with your best night of the holiday, whatever age you are. An all round great holiday for families/ couples/ young people/ old people. Do not hesitate to book this holiday. Thanks Sandra/ Bob and everyone at paradise apartments. Love Sarah, Olly, Bev, Sutty and Little Freddie xxxx
On a budget, we try to see things in a less expensive way, find a way around the huge prices, right? This Cactus Hotel has an agency offering tours to nearby islands like Los Tunneles, the main thing to see in Isabella. It's 2 hours by banging boat. You gotta have the equipment. It's a big effort, but you know it's essential to visit. So, oh, $100 or maybe $120, a half day tour to Los Tunneles. Great! WAIT A MINUTE. To spend enough time snorkling, to see anything, you need time AT THE SIGHTS, not just getting banged up in heavy seas in a boat. They give you no time to snorkle on your own. It's a forced "follow me" deal for 30 minutes, then get going to next quick stop. GO ELSEWHERE. GET A FULL DAY. This was, for an experienced snorkler, a total rip off. I had on slip in shoes because I was told they were "perfect". For the boat, yes, for this walk, no way. Wet feet slipping around inside clogs, almost broke an ankle, finally the boat driver came to help me step all the way to the boobies, which was just about the time (10 minutes) the lecture was over. I had less than 5 minutes to photo them as people were walking back to the boat, then a passenger helped me walk back because it was nearly impossible. 2 hours of jarring and slamming back, stopped at a rock in the water with birds on top for 3 minutes. THIS IS NOT WORTH THE $100 I PAID NOR THE $120 ANOTHER GUY PAID. I can highly unrecommend Cactus Tours. They skimp because they want to do two cheap tours with young tourists who never snorkles before and have no idea they got jipped. MUCH BETTER TO PAY FOR FULL DAY TOUR TO TUNNELES, so you can have an hour of snorkling in those clear Galapagoes waters, actually see whatever fish are there (BTW, THIS IS NOT FIJI LEVEL FISH AREA, SO LITTLE COLOR IN COMPARISION). Pay extra, tell them you will not accept "rushing" and pay the extra for the real experience. I am not into bragging I went here or there. I am into experiences, memories for life. Just getting on the gear and wetsuit can be an ordeal, it should be worth the trouble. THIS WAS NOT. IF I COULD GIVE ZERO I WOULD. ATTITUDE OF GUIDE WAS HYPE AND PUSH. Additionally, he was supposed to provide an underwater file he took as part of the attraction. You had to go download it at the office. Fine, we did. It was entirely murky water, basically a few fish, a few of the faces on the trip, not worth the effort to download it. This guide just wants money. He cares very little about producing a great experience, or value for cost. I was outraged and told the nice guy I bought the tour from how terrible it was and that I would write this review.
As a group of 3 the luxury suits were perfect for our stay in laganas! The suite was really nice with great facilities as well as use of two hotel pools just around the corner. Would highly recommend due to amazing value for money for the stay. The hotel offered wristbands for drinks every day at some good bars with really fun & friendly staff.
The Pantheon hotel has just celebrated its 10th Anniversary and you can see why visitor's just keep going back .This very peaceful hotel sits on an elevated position surrounded by olive groves and beautiful gardens. The owners Giannis,Katherine and son Dimitris always extend a very warm greek welcome to their guests .The hotel is very stylish with beautiful large airy rooms, immaculate decorated to a exceptional high standard ,fresh towels every day and fresh bed linen every second day . Breakfast is served from 8 till 10 with a wide variety and you can sample home cooked traditional Greek dishes through out the day, we ate most nights at the hotel as the meals were first class and Dimitris makes a fantastic cocktail. What makes this hotel so special are the owners and their hard working staff they are just lovely and make your stay with them so special .This is our 3rd year staying at this hotel and it just gets better each year .See you next year guys . Elizabeth and Leslie xx
We had an amazing stay at Ionian Aura! The very friendly owner Yannis welcomed us warm and we felt at home right away. He gave us great advice for some excellent restaurants and things to do in the area. When we arrived we had the chance to upgrade our room, which we can reccomend. The newer rooms are beautiful, modern and spacious, amazing bed and amazing shower. It was kept clean spotless. It has a good balcony with stunning see view. We loved the buffet breakfast with fresh juice, fruit, home made bread, good coffee and more. They even got us lactose free milk as I am lactose intolerent, very sweet! Very nice pool area and a well maintained property. It has a ‘boutique’ feel. The staff will do anything to make sure you have a great and relaxing holdiay. Overall great experience with luxurious feel for a good price! Such a shame we only stayed here for 4 nights.. we wish we could stay a little longer. Hiring a car is recomended, as the steep hill to Tsilivi is not easy to walk.
After two years in a row, I can say that probably it is the best place to stay in Zakinthos. Beautiful and clean rooms, excellent service and the kindest and helpfull stuff & hosts. Amazing sunset view from rooms where you can enjoy the sun falling behind the mountains while you enjoy your cocktail by the pool.
