      The hotel is supposed to be "non-smoking," and they even warn that a $250 charge will be placed, if the rule is broken. However, the room next to mine, on the 4th floor, river side, had guests who smoked day and night. i wasn't able to enjoy the balcony, because their tabacco and ********* smoke drifted over to my side (even with their door closed, but worse when they had it opened.). This really made my throat sore to breathe in. When I talked to the front desk persons, once in person during the day, and once on the phone in the evening, they said they would "deal with it,' but they did not, as those guests remained in that room, and kept smoking. And if that wasn't bad enough, those guests had the TV on loudly until past 2:30 am, making it very difficult to sleep, yet we were in Portland to go to OHSU for my husband's cancer surgery. He got little sleep the night before his surgery, due to these rude and unmonitored guests. The front desk takes a very flippant attitude towards these kinds of infractions, and do not enforce the "no smoking" policy. When I twice reported the smoking problem, they acted like I was the bad guy here, as if they were annoyed by the fact that i was helping them run the hotel properly, according to their own rules. The physical condition of the hotel is acceptable, to some degree, although the room phones practically don't work, but kept shorting out, when I tried to contact them about the smoking. Also, the 'wake-up call" I requested never was made to us. The best thing about this hotel is its location on the river pathway, making it easy to go for walks, and even walk to OHSU. BUT if you stay there for that single good reason, don't expect the quality of service or the hotel's condition to be up to par. After the first night, I was to stay a second night, because my husband would be kept overnight in the hospital. I only stayed on, instead of seeking a different hotel, because the front dest person assured me that those noisy, smokey guest would be checking out that morning. So I stayed, yet those guests did NOT check out. When I asked the front desk, she said she "couldn't discuss other guests." In response to my telling her about the smoke, she said she would "handle it." Yet that was the same response I got the day before, and she obviously didn't handle it, as those same guests stayed on annoying neighboring guests again with their smoking. It is really a shame that they care so little about making this a quality experience. There is so much potential, with the great location. But they are blowing it with their lack of enforcing the rules, and their lackluster and unprofessional response to a violation of their own rules.

      We looked for a hotel for passing through and were very happy with the Capitol Hill Motel. It’s not located directly in Portland but as we didn’t have any time to explore the city we didn’t worry about that. The outside facade looked very nice and the room was spacious and well furnished. Missed a heating in the bathroom. Most restaurants nearby close quite early, around 9pm. We would come back.

      I had a one bedroom suite for two nights, and I liked having the extra space. The unit was clean and the little kitchen was nice (no oven, but a cooktop, full size fridge and microwave). A few things, however, got under my skin. 1) parking is $40/night, so although the rates were good, take that into consideration 2) one of the elevators was out, and due to covid restrictions and allowable people in the elevator, it meant a line formed for the elevator at times, lasting up to 10 minutes or so 3) the grab and go breakfast only consisted of granola bars, bananas, apples and yogurt, with bottled water. no coffee or single-wrapped pastries or bagels. 4) a couple of the breakers were thrown in my room meaning i had to figure out to turn on the electricity for the coffee pot and microwave (trying to save power?). and 5) the remote in for the bedroom tv didn't work and it seemed like half the channels weren't working. The building is right next to construction as well, so ask for a room not overlooking the construction. It's along the river, though, so you can walk down to the river path very easy (less than 2 min). Very centrally located to downtown Portland and the Pearl District is about about 1 mile down the street.

      The breakfast is very good, and the list is ready to be eaten every day. The room is large, the kitchen utensils are complete, it is convenient to buy some green vegetables to get back (not too much fumes, the ventilation is not good, the fire alarm is big). Convenient to travel, there is a light rail station at the entrance of the hotel, just a car can sit down town for more than 3 stops. But from downtown back to the hotel it is recommended to take 35 buses because the direction of the light rail is easily confused. To the airport, you can take a minibus, $14, and make an appointment with the front desk. The 50-meter line is the Willamette River, and the riverside running is also good. The front desk was super nice, very welcoming and helpful. Hot drinks such as hot tea and hot chocolate are available free of charge in the lobby throughout the day. A 15-minute walk in the university area has a deer Ding Ji Chinese food, which tastes good. Approximately 25 minutes along the river, there is a LeCHON Western restaurant, which is also very good, but pay attention to business hours.

We were there because wife was having surgery in Portland and I couldn't find the hotel because I wasn't familiar with the city streets there so I called the hotel and was speaking to a gentleman by the name of Billy he was so patient and professional with me I explained I was having trouble finding hotel he guided me from the area I was in right to the front door of hotel. I was so impressed with his understanding I just had to let upper management know what kind and how lucky they are to have him working there.I have been in hotel &****** business for over 30 years and never have I been more impressed with how he bothered to take time and help us get to hotel. And it didn't stop there after we checked in he was treating us the same explaining to me about the hotel amenities on and on. Your whole staff was first class even in restaurant bar . Thanks for making a unpleasant situation a better situation. Rick Janet.

      Modern. Clean. Good internet! Nice room layouts. Staff very helpful (Jerod & Natalia at desk, Jeanne at breakfast, others whose names I have yet to learn). Breakfast is good. Some options for vegetarians like me, which is rare. Walking distance to a Subway, Target, Chipotle, Wendy’s, and a bit more to the shopping center and IKEA. Good fitness room. Laundry room ($3.50 wash and $3.50 dry currently, quarters at the desk). Super close to the airport (shuttle, one stop on the transit system that also goes to downtown Portland, Beaverton, and more). I hate to give it a good review as it may fill up and keep me out, but they have earned it.

      The Nines is a luxurious hotel that met and exceeded my expectations. Location: The Nines is located in Central Portland, near Pioneer Courtyard Square, and is a stone's throw away from many excellent restaurants, shopping, and tourist destinations. Room: The room itself is fairly large and luxurious, with a very new renovation. The two queen beds were very large and the bedding was very comfortable. The washroom is large and has everything that is needed. The ceiling height is very high, so it makes the room feel very spacious. Well done and designed. Common Area: Wow! From the entry of the hotel, to the hallways upstairs, it was surely a journey through excellent design! The lobby is in the center of the hotel, on the eighth floor. The lobby is large and is very well designed, with an atrium/courtyard like style. Service: People were attentive and housekeeping did a good job. Concierge was willing to help and had an excellent attitude. Without any doubt, The Nines is surely Portland's best hotel.

      The hotel location is very good, the transportation is very convenient, it is very convenient to go to the rose garden, the open-air cathedral, the airport and so on. There is Starbucks 711 nearby and the breakfast buffet is $ 25 per person. The front desk of the hotel was nice, and we very enthusiastically recommended us delicious restaurants and attractions. It rained on Saturday, I asked the hotel to borrow two umbrellas. It feels good to have an umbrella on a rainy day haha

      My husband and adult son had two rooms for 3 nights. Usually we stay at Holiday Inn Express or Best Western hotels. We stayed here as it was closer to family activities. I had requested a top floor as I am a light sleeper. Did not get that. My son was on a different floor but we all agreed that the sound proofing in this hotel was the worst we’ve ever experienced. You could hear televisions on all hours on both sides. The noise from the room above and halls could be heard even with earplugs. The place is very poorly staffed with nobody at the front desk about 50% of the time. A sign said to use a phone by the computer to call for staff. This made the place feel much less secure. Did not use the pool but did use the treadmill in the very small exercise room. The equipment was in working order. The “private phone room” door near the front desk was always propped open with several large fans running to keep their computer servers cool enough to function in the inadequate and poorly vented space. There was the same pile of dirty silverware in the vending machine room on our floor for the entire stay. The ice machine was out of order all 3 days as well. The beds were comfortable and my room was clean. However our room was entirely missed by housekeeping one day. The explanation was that there was new staff on duty. For the price this place was not worth it! Especially since there is no breakfast included like you find at Best Western or Holiday Inn Express. There was supposed to be coffee in the lobby but the carafes were empty when I checked. It feels like this building was poorly constructed and is running on low staff.

      Holiday Inn Portland - Columbia Riverfront

      I've stayed here in years past for work related events but this place has gone down hill. Where to start? 1. The heat in the room didn't work. When I first entered the room I thought the AC had been left on full blast, as cold air was pumping out and it was 63 degrees. No, that was the heat setting. I had to turn the heat/AC system totally off and rely on sunlight through the window the next two days to heat the room nicely, which it did. But it won't be pleasant for a person staying here on a cold day. 2. The internet was unreliable, which is an understatement. At a conservative estimate it probably went down about 50 times. Trying to do any kind of work in the room was extremely difficult (see photo). 3. I appreciate that there is no service for extended stays during Covid. I was happy to use the towels left in the bathroom. However the second towel was in threads and falling apart (ok, you really have to see this photo!). 4. The sink in the entry way didn't want to drain (and didn't have hot water) but thankfully the one in the bathroom was working (see photo). 5. There were odd stains - one on my bed spread, one on my co-worker's shower curtain (see photos), and a hole in the closet ceiling (see photo). 6. Normally when I get a room with two beds and it's only me I'm very careful to not mess up the unused bed. However, my extra bed was all wrinkled upon arrival and looked like somebody had been napping on it. 7. My co-worker's hair dryer seemed to be broken, melted, and a probable fire hazard (see photos) 8. Coming back from dinner another guest informed my party that someone's car had been stolen out of the parking lot and advised parking near the entrance, the only place that had cameras. I'm not commenting on the rooms overlooking the freeway, a construction zone, outhouses, and the homeless encampment immediately outside the hotel fence. These are not things that Red Lion can control. But if you put up with those things, you shouldn't have to put up with no heat, stains, torn towels, etc. etc. Totally unacceptable for a Red Lion.

      Canopy by Hilton Portland Pearl District

      I spent 5 nights at the Canopy. It's in a nice location in the Pearl District. Unfortunately Portland has deteriorated so much that I don't think I'd visit again. I was there 6 years ago and what a difference. This was my first time staying at a Canopy. Dane at the front door was awesome. Super friendly, always started a conversation and was truly a "people person". He made us feel welcome and he was helpful with any information we needed. All staff was very nice and provided very good service. The overall vibe of the hotel is cool and casual, not fancy. Well decorated and thought out public spaces. I did not try the restaurant other than for lattes to go in the morning. The room itself was thoughtfully designed too (wow what a concept to think about what a traveler needs). Lots of space and places to put your suitcases and hang clothes, nice mini bar area and dressing area/bathroom all combined. The bath/shower/toilet was separated from the sink and dressing area by a barn door. That entire area was separated from the bedroom by another barn door. Only wish the toilet was separated from the tub/shower. The condition of the room could have been a little better. Had a shower curtain that one of the holes was broken, grab bar in shower had the trim piece loose. Shower head/hand shower/tub spout had a weird diverter handle that wasn't super user friendly. Rug was a little worn at the corners and curled up. There was a nice long desk and tv in the room. In the hallway there was a nice ice machine/water filling station. In your room was an empty bottle so you could fill it up as much as you wanted. It was great to not have to go into a small dark room to access an ice machine. I'm not fond of the new Covid protocol of not having your room cleaned without requesting it but maybe that's part of the new level of lower service or more self serve. Having the Hilton app is great because you can simply send a message to staff asking them to clean your room or bring clean towels or restock tp and toiletries. If visiting Portland again I would definitely stay at Canopy.

      Hotel Vance, Portland, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

      Overall, Radisson Red is a nice hotel. However, it has taken the term "boutique hotel" to a new level. Beds were comfortable and luxurious. Bathroom was very clean, however were no shelves in the bathroom. Shower was excellent, however a bit strange with no door, simply a immovable glass partition covering half the entry. Sink was quite small. The bedroom was small with just a table and no drawers. TV was excellent with on-line checkout available. Since I was staying there to escape the unusual triple digits that Portland was experiencing. A/C was very good, Window had pull down shades instead of drapes. Wallpaper was overbearing in a huge red and black design as were the hallways. It should also be noted there were only (2) chairs for a double queen room. The Radisson shares the building with offices on the lower eight floors. Due to Portland protests your key card had to be used to access the building/elevators during all hours. I don't think I would stay at this property again due to the small room and lack of basic conveniences. Front desk staff was average, not really friendly or accommodating. Because of the pandemic and county rules, the restaurant was closed and housekeeping was limited.

      Stayed at the Porter during a six day trip in April 2022. I understand that the current times are challenging for hotels. Staffing challenges, supply chain issues, and depressed demand in business district. But, this hotel’s management seems to have less ability than most to in dealing with these matters, which made for a less than ideal stay. Some things were great: - Excellent location in Downtown Portland, just a few blocks from several light rail lines (easy to get to from airport via the light rail) - I took rail/bus everywhere around town. - Everything was clean and well attended to by housekeeping. They don’t offer daily housekeeping - at check-in the agent stated that I could call in the morning if I needed a refresh. I did so once, housekeeping came and emptied the trash and gave new towels. -Housekeeper on my floor (I only saw one) was very nice and helpful with providing extra amenities (a nice line of rosemary infused Aveda products). - Pool and fitness center were both lovely and well-maintained. - A rather zen, Asian vibe throughout the hotel public area and guest rooms - it was very nice style, but sometime impractical, The trash receptacles in rooms were so small that they would be filled with just a few items of trash -not useful when you are in a room for multiple days with no housekeeping. - Bed, linens, shower pressure, and bath amenities were top-notch. Annoyances: - Lighting in bathroom was horrible when it came time to see your face in the mirror. Makes you wonder if anyone on the design team ever actually used one of the rooms for a real life experience. - Main restaurant remains closed, and the rooftop bar is only open a few days around the weekend. The night we went to the bar, it closed earlier than the stated hours, so we never got to visit. Shortfalls: - The only option for breakfast is the small cafe area of the lobby. This was a mess - we called it the ‘Hunger Games cafe’. I am a. Diamond Hilton Honors member, so I am supposed to get a voucher for $15 for both me and my spouse to be used for breakfast. Originally check-in clerk only provided one voucher per day (not two vouchers per day for two guests). Went back next morning to argue the point, they acknowledged the mistake, but they had ‘run out of vouchers’ - they are a PIECE OF PAPER, how hard would it be to make some copies on the copy machine? Very limited selection of food at the cafe, and they ran out of food the second day (remained out for 2 days) because ‘someone forgot to place a food order’. They also ran out of forks, napkins (those remained missing for four days - I finally went to the bathroom, grabbed a giant handful of paper towels and took them to the cafe). Also, no condiments available for breakfast burritos, or paninis (no hot sauce, ketchup, mustard, nothing.). Most of this could have been solved by a manager stopping at Target on the way to work and buying some napkins, a jar of hot sauce, etc. - Staffing at ‘Hunger Games Caf

      I really feel that this hotel is not worthy of the "Sheraton" brand! Let’s talk about it. I went to the airport and waited for the free shutter of his home for a full half hour. I didn’t expect Portland to be so cold at night, the clothes were worn less, and the dog was frozen! Then the car came, the driver did not get off the luggage, the whole master, so I also decisively did not tip! When I arrived at the front desk of the hotel, I checked in and unfortunately met a girl suspected of racism. When I saw that we were Chinese, I immediately stretched my face a lot and went to the room in a bad mood. I gave the most remote room on the first floor. I walked far away and said that I opened the curtains and saw only one wall! Oh, really depressed! I think about ten o'clock in the evening, I am too lazy to change the room again, ready to wash and sleep, and found that the sewer is not working! It’s really a slap in the face, and I’m going to call the front desk for repairs. Fortunately, this time the repairman came faster, and finally took a shower before 11:00! Is this like the Sheraton Hotel? I really doubt that I lived in the fake Sheraton! Also, another disadvantage of living on the first floor is that the restaurant fume on the first floor of the hotel is filled directly into the room, but there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom! So accompanied by the smell of soot, we spent a night unhappy! I really don't recommend this hotel!

      As a first time visitor to Portland, I enjoyed my recent stay at Hotel Eastlund. I was attending a conference at the convention center and this was conveniently located across the street. The hotel was very clean and modern, and the staff were very friendly. My room was spotless and comfortable, especially the bed! The cafe in the lobby and restaurant upstairs were an added bonus for great meal options. The hotel is also located near multiple public transit stops which was really helpful. Highly recommend!

      The location is in the city center, the room is slightly old, the health is OK, the service is welcoming, but there is one piece of facial tissue in the bathroom, the replacement is not timely, the parking is $45 a day, there is a parking lot of $25 nearby, there is luggage, not willing to Ran. 10 minutes walk from Pioneer Square, 10 minutes walk to the top three Western restaurants in Portland, breakfast to line up. I stayed for one night and had no other feelings.

      Stayed here 7 nights to sightsee and attend a convention and got a good rate for the extended stay. Less than a 5 minute walk to the convention center which made it easy to come back during breaks. Nice sized room with very comfortable beds. No regular housekeeping-they said due to COVID but more likely due to short staffing but that was ok-I requested they come up in the middle of the stay to empty the garbage and replenish toilet paper and they also left me more towels that I didn't really need but appreciated. Ate breakfast once-very nice buffet and dinner once-limited menu but tasty and quick and had a few drinks in the bar a couple evenings. Not much as far as dining close by-a weird version of Red Robin, Denny's, Burgerville, McDonalds and Wendys. About a 15 minute walk to more options which is ok during daylight but we took an Uber back after dark because of the homeless situation which made my daughter and I a little wary. The staff was all outstanding-Portland has some of the friendliest people I've ever met. Appreciated the umbrellas available to borrow-I could have left mine at home! We didn't have a car but it's $32 for secure underground garage valet parking and the valets were always on duty. We had a very comfortable, enjoyable, safe stay.

      Breakfast is the least variety I have ever experienced, only square bags, breakfast cereals, milk, yogurt, coffee, tea, no more! As soon as I stepped into the hotel room, the dirty smell of a carpet came out, and the old-fashioned air conditioner was noisy. The floor under the carpet of the room is really too old, and it creaks on the floor and is not flat. Only free parking is more convenient. I don't want to come anymore.

      My friend and I booked for my last night in Portland. We stayed there many years ago, and liked it then. With covid, there were a lot of things different. The biggest was that the hot tub was not open. I really wish that they had said that on their website, and I wouldn't have been so disappointed when we got there. Other than that, it was good. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the shuttle driver was good, and on time. Even the take and go breakfast was pretty good. Best part though, was their clerk, Monse. I needed some forms printed, and since I'm pretty new to my Iphone, she just took it and pressed all the right buttons to get the forms printed for me. She was friendly, polite, and knew her stuff. She's definitely a credit to the hotel. Thank you again, Monse.

      Loved this hotel. Lovely common area off lobby. Our suite was huge and stunning. Bed was very comfy with nice linens. Front desk very friendly. Hotel parking was a bit pricey at $45/night but seemed the safest place to leave the car since we are on on a long road trip and had lots of luggage in the back. The only negative I had was that the hotel felt like it was just on the edge of a sketchy area with a lot of homeless and tents. Just a few streets further from the river made all the difference of how I felt about Portland as a city. We took a guided walking tour of the downtown area which we thoroughly enjoyed.

      The property was safe and well-maintained, if a bit dated. Staff was helpful and friendly. However, I was shocked and disappointed to find that the free breakfast advertised on their website does not exist. On the official IHG webpage for this particular hotel, the current front page runs the statement "Great dining begins here each morning at the free, hot Express Start Breakfast Bar. You'll be ready for the day with "Make Your Own Pancakes," western omelets, biscuits and gravy or other hot items, the cold favorites and bold 100% Arabica bean coffee." However, when we arrived, we were informed that they did not offer any breakfast whatsoever, other than the adjacent hotel restaurant at which one could purchase meals. We did not bring breakfast food because we were advertised this free breakfast *on the official webpage* We feel lied to and cheated, as if we paid for a service only to find the service was missing a key promised component.

      We spent one evening here over the Labor Day weekend, and we were so pleased with every aspect of our stay. Every staff member whom we encountered was friendly and professional, and we really enjoyed the breakfast selections in the spacious dining area. So excited for the iced coffee! (The hotel takes sanitizing and cleaning very seriously, and everything at breakfast was packaged separately.) Our room - 408 - was very clean, spacious, and well appointed. We appreciated the kitchenette although we did not have a need to take advantage of it. Loved the bed and pillows -- so comfortable! The showers was wonderful with awesome water pressure. We appreciated the modern and comfortable feeling of the room. As a bonus, the closest street car station (9th and Lovejoy) was a block and a half away, which made traveling through Portland quite easy. It took us less than 30 minutes (and only $2.50) to travel back to PDX.

      My husband and I stayed from September 17th-20th at the Portland Marriott in a room with an awesome view of the Willamette River. The staff at the front desk was so friendly and helpful directing us to restaurants and even supplied us with some items that we had forgotten- shaving cream and a toothbrush! But most importantly, when I realized several weeks later, that I had left a gold bracelet that had belonged to my mother, I called the hotel with little hope that they would find it. To my surprise and happiness, they found it in the laundry (they have their own laundry service at the hotel) and had kept it in the lost and found. It is a real credit to the honesty and professionalism of the staff of this hotel. I would definitely stay here again!

      This property is a dump and not in a nice area. They make the rooms look nice in the photos but the place is a wreck. The floors in the hallways were filthy as were the walls. The shuttle driver who took us to the airport started right off about how many vehicles are broke into and how much crime there is. When we got back from our trip we got stiffed on our reservation. I paid for two rooms with king beds and they would only give me one, while telling me they had no record in their system I reserved or pre-paid for the 2nd one. I showed the clerk my reservation with two pre-paid rooms and got told "too bad". I had to pay for the 2nd room again and I am still trying to get a refund. There are no elevators, no luggage carts and there was no breakfast to speak of other than two pastries in the dish. The place is not nice at all. Don't waste your money.

      Our stay at the Hotel Zags was pleasant. The front desk staff was so kind, welcoming and helpful every time we spoke with them. We even decided to extend our stay last minute and they accommodated us with no problem at all. We loved the treats (especially the s’mores!!) and the variety of goodies they had stocked in the snack bar was impressive! Our room was very clean and very well decorated, we felt super cozy and relaxed. Btw, thank you so much Jordan for the help and parting gift! It was such a nice gesture and cherry on top that will always help us to remember Hotel Zags whenever we are visiting Portland.

      Everyone that I dealt with was very helpful. This included: numerous shuttles to and from Cascade Stations, a Sports Bar and the Airport; Requests for rolls of quarters to look through (trying to complete my National Parks collection); I didn't have a face cloth in my room and when I approached the worker handling the linens, she literally ran down the stairs to another floor to get one for me. All items in the breakfast bar were fresh and the woman running it was also helpful. If I had all of their names, I would post them here. The only ones that I believe I remember are Claire and Emily that worked at the front desk. If I ever visit Portland again, I would look to stay here again. I don't travel much but this was better than I expected.

      For a budget hotel, this place is quite the surprise. OK, the rooms aren't tricked out or pretty like a 4 or 5 star, $300 a night place but the rooms are as clean as one. They require a deposit but what hotels don't these days. The neighborhood is mid to low income, but you don't hear sirens all night like downtown or gunshots AND sirens like in Southeast. The staff and security are quick to stop the homeless drug addicts from wandering anywhere inside or out of the building and especially in the underground parking area. The staff will not allow people without IDs to enter the building and they evict entire rooms of people who have visitors that don't register at the front desk. They also will keep your deposit because, you cannot smoke in the rooms. I've seen them evict out an entire room for being loud and still return the deposit so it's primarily the smoking. Other than losing their deposits for stinking up a room with cig or drug odors and so pissed they got caught they think a bad review will put the place out of business, I really do not understand the negative comments. It's a budget hotel. I expect scratches here dents there, but the rooms are super clean and the overall building condition is not bad. Disruptive, intense or illegal activities are not tolerated (which cannot be said of most all budget hotels in Portland). If you sleep light, then don't stay in public lodging facilities just to complain you couldn't sleep. It's not the hotels' fault you wake to ant farts. Family friendly and a few steps from Portlands awesome public transportation.

      The breakfast is very good, and the list is ready to be eaten every day. The room is large, the kitchen utensils are complete, it is convenient to buy some green vegetables to get back (not too much fumes, the ventilation is not good, the fire alarm is big). Convenient to travel, there is a light rail station at the entrance of the hotel, just a car can sit down town for more than 3 stops. But from downtown back to the hotel it is recommended to take 35 buses because the direction of the light rail is easily confused. To the airport, you can take a minibus, $14, and make an appointment with the front desk. The 50-meter line is the Willamette River, and the riverside running is also good. The front desk was super nice, very welcoming and helpful. Hot drinks such as hot tea and hot chocolate are available free of charge in the lobby throughout the day. A 15-minute walk in the university area has a deer Ding Ji Chinese food, which tastes good. Approximately 25 minutes along the river, there is a LeCHON Western restaurant, which is also very good, but pay attention to business hours.

It’s not located directly in Portland but as we didn’t have any time to explore the city we didn’t worry about that. The outside facade looked very nice and the room was spacious and well furnished. Missed a heating in the bathroom. Most restaurants nearby close quite early, around 9pm. We would come back.

      I was meeting my sister in Portland to travel to a family reunion, and booked an overnight stay at the Hampton - Pearl District because of its proximity to the train station. I was so glad I did! I arrived on the train and was able to easily walk to the hotel from Portland Union Station, about a 7-minute (0.5-mile) stroll. My sister was flying in, and it was a simple trip on the Red Line to the airport (although we needed a taxi to get back to the hotel because of the late hour, which ran approximately $60). Raphael at the front desk was very sweet; he checked me in and answered all my questions as I was meeting friends for dinner that evening. There is a rooftop patio for hotel guests, and my friends and I were able to enjoy a happy hour (BYOB and snacks) before heading out to the restaurant. The patio has lovely views of the Pearl District, and is very quiet and well-appointed with plenty of seating. Alona was lovely in checking us out the next morning; she stored our luggage so that we could have lunch with friends before heading to the train station, and even took photos of us in front of the vault that is built into the wall of the lobby. Our room was very nice: two queen-sized beds, plenty of room, and pretty street view. We slept quite comfortably! Breakfast the next morning was wonderful; it was a full hot breakfast, with eggs, sausages and make-your-own waffles in addition to the normal fare of cereals, yogurt, fruit, breads and pastries, and--of course--coffee and tea. Everything was delicious, and all the common areas of the hotel are open, airy and inviting. There's even a small art gallery area off to the side of the elevators. Security was ensured by the vigilant front-desk staff and by the elevators requiring our key cards to operate. But honestly, the neighborhood feels quite safe (for a major city downtown area), and we had no concerns. Our friends had to park on the street as the hotel does not have a parking lot, but neither had any difficulty finding a spot within a block of the hotel. The next time we return to Portland, we'll definitely return to the Hampton in the Pearl District!

      This hotel is not a Hilton hotel, but the price is higher than Hilton, and the room has a musty smell, because Ctrip's address navigation directly leads to the Hilton Hotel. It took an hour to find the location in the one-way downtown area. The crash, because under the name of Hilton, it was indeed a routine pit. This is the worst time for Ctrip to be pitted. It is not known whether there are many exposure fines for driving. There is really nothing remarkable about this hotel. Valet parking costs $ 52. Will not choose this hotel again, the lobby is very noisy in the evening and the service attitude is average.
