Overall, I had a good experience in the hotel. The rooms are rather pricy but that’s normal in NY, especially if you have a room overlooking Times Square. The staff is (mostly) friendly and courteous. There is a 10$ voucher that you can use every day in the bar. They hotel has room service which is not a given in NY after the COVID related down scaling of services in hotels due to lack of guests and staff. The food is OK, though the quality and quantity varies from day to day. Be careful with your laundry service. I overlooked that the day I was handing in my laundry was a holiday and I was charged a hefty $140 for a few underwear, T Shirts and socks due to an additional holiday/Sunday fee. However, after raising the matter with the hotel manager - who handled the matter in a very friendly and professional manner unlike the operator I spoke to first - a discount was added to my bill that compensated for the additional holiday laundry fee. Since it was me that had overlooked the holiday, this was a nice and welcome gesture that I much appreciated. Overall, the hotel can be recommended though the rooms are a little too small for the price. They are, however, modern, clean and comfortable.

No breakfast, just a lot of food around the city center, the room is small, low cost, but the service environment is good. If you want to save money, it is recommended to stay in Jersey City, next to the path station, so that the traffic is convenient, the house price is also cheap, and clean.

The hotel is in an excellent location. It’s very easy to get around by walking or hopping on the metro. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful, but the hotel itself is in need of renovations (as other reviews have stated). If the hotel were to make those renovations I would stay again.

There are not many people who comment on it. The hotel is on 49th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues. The roads in Manhattan are easy to recognize, just right and street. Start on Fifth Avenue and then sixth, seventh, Broadway and eighth. In the middle is the street. The Port Authority's main station (that is, the coach station) is on 42nd Street, Times Square is on 47th Street, and the subway can be a 50th Street station, very close. A lot of food nearby (Ichiran Ramen, Shake Burger, Michelin Steak House). The hotel is not a well-known brand in the chain, it is relatively small and not luxurious, but the price is not cheaper than the surrounding Marriott or the like. Last year, I stayed at Marriott very large. The exterior looks larger and more luxurious than this. After all, his infrastructure is very early. But this good place is closer to Times Square than the quiet Marriott there, rooms have microwaves, coffee machines, free fruit and apples, bananas, potato chips, ice water for 24 hours downstairs. There is coffee and tea on the second floor, and friends can sit there. There are slippers, umbrellas and toiletries in the room. L'Occitane. These are not available in American hotels. Dental appliances are not. I booked an agent's twin room at Ctrip at first, which was 500 yuan cheaper than the official website. There are two types of twin beds on the official website. One is ordinary and the other is a barrier-free room with a handrail. The difference between these two types is 500. The double bed marked on Ctrip did not say that it was an accessible room. I booked Ctrip for a small farmer. The fact that I got the room was a barrier-free room, and that 500 was not bad. And it was very low on the third floor. It was super dark in high-rise New York. I went to the front desk to upgrade the suite. The front desk gave me a good discount and added me 50 dollars a day. Hall, bedroom with double bed, double sofa bed in the hall, both bath and shower, and 3 cloakrooms with bathrobe hangers. Ctrip's hotel booking is really very metaphysical, the price and official website are not bad, the room type is difficult to determine, I have learned lessons before. Anyway, the hotel location is convenient and the facilities can be serviced or not. The price is not bad. People do not look at their choices. There is a parking lot on the side of the hotel, and you can also park on behalf of the guests. On the side is the Ambassador Theater staged by Ryoko Micura of Chicago, which is opposite the Mormon Theater.

I stayed for more than two weeks during the Spring Festival holiday, and my wife took it seriously. Breakfast is rich, as well as apples, snacks, etc. 8th Avenue and 51st Street is the most convenient location in Manhattan. It is within walking distance to most famous shops and attractions, and is also close to the subway. I will stay here when I return to NYC. My wife has been studying and working in NY for more than ten years. She is a senior member of Hilton and has a lot of living experience.

Very happy with my experience here. The bedsheet and beddings are quite comfortable. The room is small which is NY standard, but my stay here has been very homie and comfy. The shower is hot and abundant. Location is prime, walking distances to time square and central park, and with a railway station around the corner of the hotel.

I do not stop to write a lot of reviews, but this occasion certainly calls for it! About a month ago, our daughter missed the last flight from New York to Charleston after flying all day trying to get home from Italy. One of the managers, Ms. Lester, came to the rescue! She allowed me to reserve a room for our daughter over the phone, waited for her to arrive in an Uber, walked her to her room, and made sure she had something to eat before she left for the day. Our family is so grateful for her thoughtfulness and kindness in the middle of a very stressful situation!

Our overall one night stay was fine, but I rated this property ”average” due to: - At check in, Peggy did not acknowledge us as Hilton Honors Diamond Members. - Our room (1011) was in sad shape. The floor was sticky. The furniture had tears and was very worn down. The ceiling had large water stains and the walls had water damage in several areas. - The shower had no 'hot' water. When you turned it to the hot setting, cold water came out, you had to let it run for awhile (wasting a lot of water) to heat to lukewarm, at most. However, our overall stay was okay due to: - Glad to see recycling bins...which we used. - Grateful for the complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. - Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast- plenty of choices. - We had a nice view of the city from our 10th floor room. This hotel is close to LaGuardia Airport. It was quiet, with exception of hallway noise. We did not have a car, so I cannot comment on the hotel parking. The front desk had plenty of menus offering Mexican, Chinese, and Italian food for delivery.

I second comments about the outdoor pool. It is ridiculous. Crowded is an understatement. The most ridiculous is that there is a “waiting list” for the pool chairs. Yup. Despite many being open, it’s not first come first served. You will be called upon to leave the chair if you just assume it’s first come first served. For the nightly rate the EQX hotel goes for you have better options in NYC. Plus, when I arrived for a spa treatment, there was nobody on the ground floor entrance to direct me where to go. As a gym member (not at this location though) I knew where to go by reading online. Note that despite many EQX Clubs give you gym access if you book a spa treatment, the Hudson Yards/hotel does not extend the same grace. You can buy a day pass for $100 though. Other locations in NYC charge different for a day pass too. All in all, I felt sorry for guests who pay to stay at the hotel but may not be able to enjoy the facilities with ease as a hotel guest in such category of hotel would expect. Do not recommend.

Because the plane was late, I arrived at the hotel at 1 o'clock in the middle of the night. The lady at the front desk helped me to check in very quickly. It was the speed of New York. Hotel location is very good. About 5 minutes walk to Fifth Avenue, turn to Central Park, and the subway station will walk for 5 minutes. The hotel is a post-modern urban minimalist style, the room is good, very New York apartment feel, but the breakfast is a bit too casual, too simple, but the breakfast at the New York hotel is probably so good, it is a very good hotel

Two doormen stationed at the front entrance saw us retrieving our luggage from the cab trunk, but made no attempt to help. I had checked in a day earlier and was great full that the room was made available at 12 PM . They did tell us there was no view; I was okay with that as we are in NY regularly and at this trip it was not a priority. I haven’t stayed at this hotel in a few years, but remembered the excellent butler service and lovely accommodations, and was looking forward to it. The checkin felt like something one would expect at a Highway motel. No explanation of any services, no welcome drink, no Butler introductions, nobody accompanied you to the room or directed you to the elevator. The room had the tiniest window, with a curtain without a valance (# 1406) facing a wall a few feet away. No Natural light what so ever. The leather head rest on the bed was ripped on a couple of spots. It had only one not very comfortable lounge chair in a fairly large king room. So if you are a couple, you cannot even sit together for a cup of coffee. In the past at checkin the butler would introduce themselves, offer coffee , tea etc and make sure you were satisfied with the accommodations. We had ballet tickets for a matinee, so initially decided to just go with the flow. Went for a quick lunch at the Astor, paid around $170 for 2 ceaser salads, a bloody mary and a glass of Duvel Leroy Champagne. I have no problems paying premium prices for value , but $28 for a Bloody Mary with a celery stalk garnish and stoli vodka? They claimed to have invented it , but definitely not worth the price. When we returned back from the ballet and returned to the room , it seemed really depressing. They call it an interior room , but it could easily be in a windowless basement. We requested a room change and requested to speak to a manager. We were told the manager was downstairs and would call us back. We were going to dinner, so left the front desk our cell number. The manager ever returned the call. On our return when we requested a room change, we were told that they were completely sold out. At this point we were exhausted an decided to just let it go and returned to our room for a good nights sleep. It was around 10:30 PM, and there was a continuous loud rumbling sound. When we called the front desk , we were told that the noise was from their service elevator which was being used a lot that night as 2 of their 4 passenger elevators had been broken for a couple of days. They offered to now move us to another room. So at 11 Pm we had to get dressed and pack up to move to another room. The new room (1903), had a moldy smell. Got up next morning with a back ache as the bed was not comfortable. In the morning the moldy smell seems to have gotten even worse and I did report that. I was told it was because of air conditioning! We called the butler for coffee in the morning. The French press coffee arrived with c

We stayed here during our trip for five days. This was our first time in New York City and it was exceptional. Since it was the first time visiting, I spent weeks researching hotels looking at neighborhoods, reviews, room types, everything! I’m so happy we decided on The Gotham! From the front desk to the restaurant there were no issues. Everyone was very helpful, attentive, and kind. The pictures are exactly like the rooms. We stayed in the king balcony room on the back side of the building which was really cool and quiet. We also stayed in the queen balcony room because we didn’t do our dates correctly lol and thankfully they had a room open. Looking out on the balcony in the queen room was awesome. We are returning over Christmas and have rebooked the queen balcony room and I can’t wait! This room is noisier but it’s not to the point of not being able to sleep. My husband and I live in the country surrounded by cow fields so if I can sleep with the noise level anyone can!

This was our first time staying at the hotel, and we were very happy with the entire experience. The hotel and restaurant have only been open less than a year, but the original building has a rich history as a gilded age family home, and it shows. The design and decor are stunning and unique, this place is not cold and lifeless. Our room was small-ish, but certainly larger rooms are available, and it certainly made up for it in comfort. Personally, I've never been bothered by a small room anyway, because when I travel, the room is not where I spend the majority of my time. The service: every interaction we had with the staff here was at a level of service that you would expect from a more expensive stay. From the moment we arrived, a butler showed us to our room, and that level of service continued throughout our stay; always professional, always warm and genuine. The food: we ate at Café Carmellini the night of our arrival, and the food and service were both exceptional. The dining room is a charming art deco masterpiece, where most tables are banquettes, which is great for a romantic couples dinner. Breakfast at the Cafe every morning was also outstanding, and we looked forward to it every day. We had drinks at the Portrait Bar a few nights before dinner, and once again service was exceptional, and the cocktails were inspired. They may tell you at check in that it's highly recommended to try the burger at the Portrait Bar, so I tried it, and let me just say it's as good as they say, if not better. It's good enough to make you weep tears of joy. If you live in New York, go there now and try it. If not, get on a plane, then go try it. We absolutely loved our stay here and can't wait to return. The location is great, the property is gorgeous, the rooms are comfortable, the food is outstanding, but the most memorable part has to have been the service. These are people that love the work of providing service at a high level, and it shows. Special mention should go to Kevin, Ignacio, Rebecca and Michael at the restaurant, Ed at the Portrait Bar, but really everyone we met were fantastic, and by the time we left, it felt like we were leaving old friends. We can't wait to see them again.

When I first arrived in New York, I booked a hotel close to my relatives' house. The surrounding environment was average and the rooms were poorly soundproofed. I could hear police cars and ambulances all night long. Behind the hotel was the D subway line and a cemetery. It was okay to work. The staff arranged for me a room facing the entrance of the hotel. Looking at the residential rooms, there are many Chinese living nearby. It is about 5 minutes away from the D line subway station. There is a new building next to the hotel. The interior of the hotel is clean, comfortable and smell-free. The room is a bit small. Disposable slippers and toothbrushes are not provided. The reception desk on the first floor is connected early and simple meals are provided. Some products are different every day. You paid a US$50 deposit at the hotel, which was paid by credit card. It has been 20 days since check-out and the deposit has not been released. It is recommended that you pay a cash deposit for check-in.

5 night stay for a family birthday and reunion. On arrival there was a little mix up with the booking which manager Chris & staff worked quickly to resolve to our satisfaction. The suite had oodles of space , the bed was massive and very comfy. Have in your mindset this is an older hotel , with old fashioned lifts ,decor and doors. March weather was very cold and the old, drafty windows made the rooms a little cold when the curtains were pulled open, but there’s easily operated heating in the bedrooms which you just turn on to heat the room quickly. There’s lots of space to hang up clothes. The shower was over bath and adequate. The cleaning service was very efficient with the room cleaned every morning. Complimentary bottled water, tea & coffee making facilities in room. Food at both the bar and restaurant is very tasty, especially the Irish breakfast. You can get a sense of the real will from the management and staff to get back to normal after the awful pandemic closure. All the Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location is excellent. This was booked through a travel agent when we said, nothing fancy just travel lodge type, for sleeping only really. It was for me and my daughter, 60 and 40, twin room requested. It looked ok on website so we were happy. Oh dear, when we got there we were told, you have our deluxe double, i told the receptionist we had requested a twin, he said non were available, so we thought a double like a travel lodge/premier it would be fine. The room was the size of your little bedroom in a house, the bed was long ways on running against the wall, after a conversation with the receptionist, a twin room miraculously appeared at a price of a further 200 dollars!! Over a barrel we agreed, what choice did we have! Once in new room, which was nice and had rooftop balcony, we decided to shower and change before eating, the shower was via the toilet in the room, i got in and then my daughter shouted mum, don't turn round! the shower, which was lovely and hot, was exposed to the whole room through a full length window! No modesty at all. The room service and cleanliness was great and i am sure for a certain type of guest these rooms are good value and do the job. I have attached the welcome poster on the back of the door, we have laughed since. Also don't eat at the joint next door, it too expensive and not good value, walk to the end of the street onto 2nd ave and you ll find lovely eatery's and service. Also don't use their return to airport service, they use a luxury limousine service which is double the yellow taxi!

From the moment I walked in, the vibe was perfect. They have a great management team and staff, management consistently present in the lobby, greeting guests and making sure that things are running smoothly. There is a small, intimate bar that opens in the evening serving great cocktails. Service is genuine and on spot. Great location on the upper west side, on a side street - Sarafina's is off of the lobby serving delicious food, steps away from the lobby. Lobby is a great place to socialize or get some work done - beds are super comfortable and the room was very clean...really loved this property and will defnitely be back!

The staff was noted: Both cleaners(who perform their work in a great deal) and receptionists (who are very handy, very available). Discrete view of a NY area much quieter than the general: front is Fairway, open h24, very comfortable to buy any kind of needs and even Starbucks and a pharmacy. I would return absolutely because it was really an experience This is very positive.

I asked via email and voicemail to have the General Manager give me a call and waited before writing this review. I asked the Director of Guest Services for follow up and still have not been contacted. Check in-We had a great experience at check with the front desk. The agent was efficient and friendly. She followed up with a phone call to the room to see that everything was ok which we appreciated. Room-The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a little small. Housekeeping-At check in we were told to call before noon if we wanted housekeeping. We did call and were told that they could only pick up trash and bring clean towels. I know this has changed since the pandemic and we were fine with this. Bar and food- We did not receive any welcome drink or champagne so after we settled in we went to the bar for a drink and something to eat. We were told that there was a private event and that they could not accommodate us. After some push back the hostess said we could sit down for one drink but must be done in 20 minutes. I understand private events are lucrative but there should always be some space for guests to relax and get a drink after a long journey. Before arriving I had called the front desk and asked to speak to a concierge about reservations. I was told that all of the reservations for the restaurant and jazz club were made via Resy and that I should book them myself. There was no priority for guests and no concierge service to help. I never saw a concierge in the lobby during my 3 day stay. We had a great time at the jazz club and the host was wonderful. We coordinated the experience on our own with no help from the hotel. Noise-We were a little worried about the noise in this hotel as the rooms open to the bar area. Our room was on a high floor it was not that bad and the music shut down around 10:30 pm. They have installed a white noise devise that sounds like a broken air conditioner which was worse than the actual noise. There is some city noise as rooms are facing busy streets but that did not bother us. What did disturb us were the guests next us. You could hear the other guests late at night. Definitely a party hotel. Amenities- The web site states Wi-Fi is free which is great. There is a 34.95 dollar a night room charge. Not sure this is justified. We had no champagne greeting, were not able to enjoy the bar due to a private event, no bathrobes, and no priority at any of the restaurants or clubs. When I completed the guest survey the response I got was if I wanted a bathrobe I should ask for one. Booking- I booked this hotel directly via the hotel website. That was a mistake. After the first night we looked to change hotels. The hotel had rates much cheaper than we were paying on most all of the third party websites. We decided to stick it out and not hassle with a hotel move so

Me and Harlem go way back. Aloft Harlem used to be my go to hotel before I started staying more on the lower east side. In fact, a Marriott employee who used to work at Aloft directed me to this brand new, just opened hotel. I was excited to return to uptown and stay in this spot! I wanted to love this hotel. I don’t like giving lackluster reviews and feeling like a Karen. But over two nights, the transgressions just piled up. I’m a Marriott ambassador who stays in hotels about 240 nights a year. I never bring up my status. This might be the first time I actually uttered in frustration, “it’s September and I’ve already spent 27,000 dollars at these hotels, why is this so hard?” Upon checkin, it took almost an hour. This is even more frustrating because my first night was business and my company always sends a spending authorization. Two days in a row I checked with the hotel to see if they had received the authorization. They lost the first one. They mismanaged the second one. I always call or chat ahead to ensure a smooth checkin. It was still a mess when I arrived. The room was a “Central Park view.” I should have known better; I don’t know why I believed this title. I know New York geography better than that. I was looking into a building. Central Park facing or in the direction of Central Park shouldn’t be called central park view. I had changed from the city view to the Central Park view before arrival and I guess I’m glad I did because while they were trying to figure out my reservation they mentioned they had oversold the city view rooms. I will say the black out shades do a great job. The bed was fine. Sheets were a little co****. This hotel costs close to what a Moxy costs, so their sheets should be comparably smooth and comfortable. The bathroom was an absolute joke. Maybe not all the rooms are like mine, but mine may as well not have had a door. As you can see in my photos, the door is for “art.” There is a huge gap where you can see everything! Like probably 12 inches or greater of a gap! Who designed this and thought it was a great idea?! Glad I was alone. The air unit is SUPER loud. Doesn’t bother me as much since we usually have a fan on at home, but it was so loud that when it came on, I had to turn the TV up. It will likely bother some people. And you can hear everything through the walls. Oh, and the toilet clogged twice. And one of the days, the hot water was off all day for repairs, though that’s out of anyone’s control. It’s just giving context to a very un-relaxing stay. Back to the front desk mess—I later noted a destination fee on my bill (I had two separate bills because one night was business and one was personal). I don’t mind destination fees—I’ve had them at many Marriott properties. But I was never informed of this one. I even asked at the restaurant, and they had no idea. I finally went to the desk and asked and they explained I should have been given vouchers for each ni

Hotel location is good, near Times Square, not far from the Empire State Building. I charged another $ 87 for two days, and Ctrip reminded me of $ 40 a day, which is estimated to have risen again. That adds up to almost $ 200 a day.

Great location for a person seeking the heart of Times Square. There are various levels of rooms so don’t be offended if you don’t book a city view and then get a window with a view of a building. The entrance was decent, yet for a W hotel, I never saw a doorman on site. We never had staff assist us with our bags either. The initial impression after the primary door is decent. They turned it into an sort of underwater experience. With this being said the four nights we stayed there I also never once saw a security guard as you first enter leaving a bit of safety concerns up for grabs. From there you have to catch an elevator up to the main lobby which is nicely decorated. Upon checking in don’t expect to be greeted with a smile (even if you have rank as a bonvoy member). Just get your key and go. As for the room the overall appearance is dependent upon the level of room you choose, so to be impartial I won’t give my opinion on the rooms. I will though, continue to comment on the lackluster service as that aspect should be stellar across the board. Upon asking for recommendations for the city we were handed a crumbled, partially torn paper with a generous number of locations, no additional information was provided by the staff. The night before checking out I found myself in need of a razor. I called guest services and they advised they’d be able to provide one. 40 minutes had passed and still no razor. After burning much time just waiting, I decided it would probably be faster for me to walk to CVS buy one and come back (which it was). Again, I mention the location is prime Times Square making every item the hotel forgets to bring you, easily found and easily accessible by foot. The cocktails at the “Living Room” bar are horrible. They range from $20-25 per cocktail and if you light a cigarette near it, you’ll probably catch on fire from the amount of unshaken liquor in the glass. A heavy pour isn’t always a good pour especially when you’re looking to actually be able to walk the city. We have the living room bar 3 tries before deciding to just have our first set of cocktails outside of the establishment. A benefit is that the W gives you $25 to spend at the bar daily with your $25 resort fee. For the first time in my life free wasn’t actually better. I really would love a call from someone at the establishment as I am certain the experiences my wife and I dealt with are not the “norm”. Overall, do not recommend. I would recommend The NY Marriott Marquis.

The bed was very comfortable, the booking was a wonderful room, a big bed, and the front desk was kind enough to ask if you would have an extra bed. There is a supermarket next to it, you can buy something very late. I received 100 dollars of dollars and returned to it in three days.

I love Arlo. I stay at Arlo pretty often. But this time was off. I came back to my room in the evening, they cleaned it, but they didn’t take out the trash from the terrace and it started the rain. And I didn’t have coffee capsules (pods) at all. I called to reception and girl was like oh do you have a coffee machine in your room I was like yes I do. And a guy came at 11pm and was cleaning the terrace.
