Brilliant hotel in a great location in Beşiktaş beside many good restaurants and cafes as well as supermarkets. The rooms are clean and tidy and very big! It’s great value for money too. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and plentiful toiletries. The shower was very powerful as well. Only drawback was I could smell someone smoking at times which I think was coming from the room next door.

The room is quite large. Both terraces have a little sea view and there are two bathrooms that are quite convenient for couples. But the sound insulation is not very good.

Puffin hostel is more than I expected put of any budget friendly hotel. We came here as a couple and got our separate room and bathroom which was clean and all basic amenities provided - water bottles, AC, TV, toiletries.. etc. It has a roof top kitchen, a very well maintained one with a little dinning space. You can cook your own meal there are plenty of dishes and cutlery available with microwave, oven, kettle. The place is so centrally located in Besiktas with a street full of food joints. Nights are quite happening. I will totally recommend this place for travel lovers.

Unfriendly staff! We had a very bad experience with the reception the moment we arrived to the hotel. A friend of mine booked a room for one person through Bookings and paid for the whole stay. We were welcomed with angry faces for no reason. The staff didn't even say hi. They just stared at us wondering how many persons are going to stay. I explained to them it's just for one person because I already live in an apartment in Istanbul. The moment I went up to the room to help my friend with the luggage, they got angry at us and started raising their voices. It was unprofessional and disrespectful. It felt like we did some taboo to go upstairs. The receptionist kept screaming and didn't want to call down until another staff member interfered. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone. There are many other options in Istanbul and in Besiktas. I will take this issue further to the management. I have never been treated this way.

The hotel is located in the urban area of Istanbul. Although it is a very ordinary family apartment hotel, several owners are friendly and enthusiastic, and their friends opened it in partnership. The price is only about 400, but the price is very high and it is very affordable. It is very convenient to eat in a neighborhood of one kilometer, less than five kilometers from the Bosphorus Strait, and it is convenient to go to the scenic area by car.

My sister and me stayed in Meydan Besiktas Otel and we loved it! Hotel is located in busy neighborhood, surrounded by cool bars, stores, restaurants. It is very close to ferry station, as well as bus terminal. It is very easy to get to any neighborhood of Istanbul from this hotel. Even though the location is busy and crowded, our room was very quiet, we had good sleeping time here. Front desk people are extremely nice, friendly and helpful! They helped us with tons of our questions and requests. Thank you very much! Breakfast was included - traditional Turkish meal was very good. Recommending this place to everyone, and we will stay here next trip to Istanbul!

My husband stayed in this hotel once for business purposes. Because of their suit rooms we choose it for our family holiday. I made the booking via Booking.com and because the reservation in the end did not show our 4,5 years old daughter, i wrote specifically that we will come with our 4,5 years old daughter. Just because i did not openly write please prepare a bed for her. They did not. We arrived hotel in the evening and the next day I had a very important exam and should have woken up very early. We saw that her bed was not ready. The receptionist said the hause keeper will come at 23.00, he can not fo anything until that time. We offered him to call his friend, or give us the sheet and we prepare the bed. He said every excuses not to give sheets and not to help us in any way. That was the strangest hotel behavior i’ve ever seen. Either he took an order from hotel management that never help the guests, or he is super unhappy with his job that he simply doesn’t care. In any any case he had a huge self esteem not to help the customer. I must add we are really easy going customers and this is the first time i write a very bed comment about a hotel. The other staff was not that much bad, however he was enough to start our holiday in a very bad way. The room were nice and clean but because of the street it was more than loud. Impossible to sleep. Location was great. However, i would never go this hotel. Because what makes an experience unique is how you are welcomed and how people solve the problems. So i know that when there is a problem i can not trust this hotel and their team. I did not take breakfast here because i did not want to make them earn one penny more from me. Unfortunately it was a hell to reach Booking.com to complain and cancel my reservation. But never again. I regularly visit Istanbul and i thought i can always stay there and recommend my foreign friends but never. He was simply last enough just to give sheets to us. At 9 o’clock that night he agreed to give us sheet but not generous enough for a blanket. So my daughter supposed to sleep at cold at our first night. Of course i gave my blanket to her. She is old enough not to sleep with us and she sleeps early and whatever i do not have to make explanations. That was their job and they did not. How they did not try to solve the problem was worse then the problem itself.

The Linden Houses provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Linden Houses offers a pleasant stay in Istanbul for those traveling for business or leisure. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Sirkeci Train Station located approximately 6km away and Istanbul New Airport roughly 39km away. There's plenty to do nearby, with The SPA at Four Seasons Spa & Hamam, Cagaloglu and Museum of Painting & Sculpture all within a short distance. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing.

This hotel is very good, very close to the bus station. It is very convenient to take the bus from the airport to and from the hotel. It is only 18 lira with the bus card, the pier next to the hotel, the blue mosque, the international Grand Bazaar, the Sophia Cathedral, etc. Attractions can take a boat at the pier not far from the downstairs, then take the T1 to reach. You can also take a boat trip to the strait, brush the bus card and take a boat for 3 hours to go to no more than 5 liras. The hotel has a sauna and can be used free of charge. The hotel is very clean and the service is very international. It is also very convenient to eat near the hotel, there are many restaurants. Next to the Dolma Bachche Palace, it is very distinctive.

My boutique Hotel - what can I say a little gem of a hotel. If you want to live amongst the locals experience local life eat at very reasonably priced restaurants. Be 10 min walk from the sulimaniya mosque. 15 min walk from Emenio tram and 15min from spice bazaar then this is the place. Not only for these reasons you should book but also book for the following. The rooms are immaculate clean tidy and beautiful they all have a mini fridge. Bathrooms are immaculate with a shower and complimentary shampoo shower soap and hand soap. A hair dryer is also provided. Wi Fi in all rooms and super fast connection .The Manger Jon could not do enough for us and the rest of the team equally helpful nothing was ever too much from booking us a taxi to finding us an iron to use. Our travel agent had booked us a twin room by mistake. When we reached the hotel we asked if a double was available unfortunately there was not but where told after 3 days a family room would become available and for a very small fee we could have this one and we did. The roof Terrance has a beautiful view of the sulimaniya mosque. Over all a pleasant stay do not get put off by the street this is not the centre of a tourist place but home for locals who are very friendly I as a woman went out and about on my own and did not feel threatened or harassed. I think a few little tweaks would make this place even better. 1. Tea and coffee making facility in the room we brits like our morning cup of tea. 2. The family room we stayed in was on the ground floor for decor purposes they had a glass wall ( don’t worry you can not see in or out) however in the night when the light is on of the lobby this gave continues light into the room. A curtain would be perfect to draw at night . 3. The terrace I would of used a little more than I did if it was a little more welcoming plants some traditional Turkish sofas with cushions. 4. May be a few English speaking channels on the TV However the above are only suggestions and do not take away from the fact how beautiful this hotel was and the hospitality was superb. We are definitely looking to book again this year with our children

We stayed in Laila last week. We stayed in the top floor. The room was nice, clean, just the sheeting was not really comfortable as it kept slipping from the bed. Also the water in our toilet kept running nonstop, so it was wasting a lot of water and also it was noisy. The elevator was not working but thst can happen at any hotel :) There are many shops and restaurant around the area and literally its about 10 mins walk to the Grand Bazar and Blue mosque also... we even used the shuttle to the airport which is 10euros and was really happy.

It's hard to find it for the first time. It is recommended to take a taxi, especially at night. The terrain of Turkey is not accurate for navigation on uphill and downhill maps. It is difficult for you to find. Leave your luggage and walk around, and then walk by yourself when you are familiar with it. Nice people at the front desk. Breakfast is okay, the price is 3 euros, pay when you check out. I stayed for two nights. Every day someone cleaned it. The heating was very good. The clothes I washed at night were covered with radiators and they were dried the next day. Although I live on the basement floor, there are windows, so the air is not bad. The price is cheap. When it was set, it was 100 or 108. Later, it was already 200. Hahaha, the price depends on luck. In short, it is recommended! Very close to the blue mosque

This hotel was HORRIBLE. To start off, the washroom sink kept overflowing and flooding the washroom, the shower was so tiny we didn't even understand how we could possibly shower in there. The room was so tiny, the area was not that great either, it was a dead area. However we didn't let all of these things get to us, and enjoyed our trip regardless. What made me mad is that I left my headphones in my room, underneath my pillow. When I came back at night, I couldn't find them. I emailed the hotel and said "I cannot find my headphones can you please ask the cleaning lady.. they were expensive". I said to ask the cleaning lady because I was afraid that when the cleaning lady changed my sheets, maybe my headphones got taken away with them OR maybe she placed them somewhere else. Shortly after she came upstairs and started screaming (in a different language, no idea what she said), and the hotel manager called and said "I accused her of stealing". First of all, no I did not. If he contacted her and asked her if she had stole the headphones, that's on him. I never used the word "steal" once. So, if you're asking your staff if they stole, maybe that's questionable on your part and your staffs credibility...why did your head go towards "stealing" the minute I asked where my headphones were? I later found the headphones placed on the table - which by the way, if you are cleaning someones room, you should put their belongings where you originally found them. What was mind boggling in this whole situation is when I rated the hotel, I gave them a 3.3 rating, which is generous on my behalf considering the washroom was leaking, it was tiny to the point we couldn't use the shower, the hotel staff didn't know a word of English which made it hard to communicate, the headphones situation pissed me off...but what was mind boggling was, the owner of the hotel texted my father and started cursing at him for giving a 3.3 rating. 3.3 is pretty generous considering the service we received, ALSO if you are unhappy with the customers rating, you learn and improve from it, you don't contact them and start cursing and yelling at them. NO ONE BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!!

We loved staying here, the room is cosy and there is a nice balcony to look out. Reception and porters are really friendly and helpful. One things is there are three Beethoven hotels in the same area so it gets a little confusing but they are not too far from each other. Breakfast was great with a lovely selection of fresh food. Try the trilece cake, was so yummy! Rooms were lovely with fridge and complimentary water bottles. There was also a safe. The bathroom was nice and clean with also good toiletries. The cleaner was pretty thorough and i mean thorough, putting cables in drawers, moving our suitcases and hanging our coats up to clean! I am glad she cleaned properly but not sure how i feel about people touching my things. One thing which i was really not hppty about was the spa lady. She was extremely rude when we went to use the pool. We asked for towels and she said we have to use room ones when there were clearly some there so had to go back up to room to get them. I then asked about the jet into the pool and she said its off so i asked why and she just shrugged her shoulders. She was really not helpful, considering she was just sitting there on her phone the whole time and is the reason why i am giving 4/5, what is the point of having such a useless staff member? We chose this hotel for the pool and spa so this was disappointing for us. Otherwise we loved everything else and the spa lady was not a reflection of any of the other staff who were all lovely. The location of the hotel was great and the tram stop was not too far walk, about 4/5 mins. I believe it also possible to walk to main attractions in half an hour. I would visit again but if the spa lady acted the same I would complain this time.

The hotel is a couple of streets away from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, which makes it a very central place for you to enjoy the touristic attractions. Besides, it is located in a calm street so you don't get that busy traffic in front of the hotel. The owners are a lovely couple who makes you feel at home. Zeynep Hanım's special side dishes (Turkish meze) flavour up the breakfast which is already very rich. Derviş Bey's calm and trustworthy smile is also another reason to feel the warm hospitality. All the staff members in the hotel have that big smile upon their faces. You can feel the family atmosphere in every detail. The room was clean. My bed was really really comfortable and the terrace had a panoramic view of the Bosphorus that I won't ever forget. The concept of the hotel is also dreamy, embedded with names of different literary figures. I can assure that you will be going on a journey that you will always look back to.

We found the hotel to be neat and tidy. The staff are great. Nearly got stuck in Turkey because of Coronavirus lockdown worldwide but the staff was fantastic with dealings with Turkish Airline when flights was cancelled unannounced. They were able to get them to re book our flight because of language barrier. No Kettle in d rooms permanently yet we have two for my family used. I don’t know why, but the WiFi keeps going on and off. The breakfast is consistently same thing during our one week stay and it becomes monotonous. Would have loved sausages and baked beans if possible. Hotel is right inside all the markets. I will surely lodge here again and I strongly recommend.

I recently stayed in Olimpic Hotel with my mom and aunt. It is located in Sultanahmet- right at the heart of the greatest sites. Five minutes of walking will take you to the famous historic mosques and other must-see tourist destinations. The hotel is also located close to the trolley and the streets are full of taxis which you can catch on your own or have the hotel arrange. The breakfast is great. The personnel are warm and kind, eager to help whenever they can. I felt safe and while the hotel is not luxurious, it is welcoming, clean, and is of adequate renovation. It has a terrace with a beautiful view capturing the Bosporus and mosques. The friendly and warm environment make me eager to return to this hotel anytime I’m in Istanbul.

The surroundings are great and the feeling is in the upscale affluent area. A lot of good restaurants, eating and shopping are very convenient. It is also close to the subway, and the hotel is just 50 meters away from the entrance to the underground passage of the subway. Hotel facilities are well maintained, breakfast is especially worthy of delicious and rich! Overall, this hotel is good value for money, but it does not reach the 5-star level, although the door is hung with a five-star sign. By the way, the only minor shortcoming is that the front desk and the waiter are average, not enthusiastic, and feel a bit cold.

Excellent location near the ''Sokullu Sehit Mehmet Pasa mosque'', a historical place from 1571. Two minutes walk to the Hippodrome (the historical racetrack), 5-minute walk to the Hagia Sophia Museum (the former Greek Orthodox Christian patriarchal cathedral, later the Ottoman imperial mosque) and the tram (which connects you with the port for the cruises on the Bosphorus and the Golden Horn), 10 minutes to Topkapı Palace Museum. Everything it's around. Great hotel in Sultanahmet district. I stayed in February 2020 in this hotel. All the staff were lovely and very helpful. Excellent breakfast each morning, rooms were cleaned daily. I would definitely stay in this hotel again. I stayed here for 2 nights (24-25th Sep) with my wife and had a fantastic experience. The guys at reception (Muhammad & Ahmed) were professional and super courteous, the room was small but tidy and the location was ideal for exploring the central Istanbul and the historic sites that are just a few hundred KMs away from the hotel. The tram stop was just around the corner as well which could take you to almost all major parts of the city. I see people pointing out the small rooms but you got to factor in the location which is literally 7 mins walk to the most sought after tourist attractions of Istanbul (Haghia Sophia and Blue Mosque). I can bet majority of the hotels have similar sized rooms since the property value must be sky high for such a locality. And I bet most of these hotels charge more than what Sirkeci Ersu does for rooms with the same specs. One thing that I'd like these guys to work on would be their breakfast. Lmited and same menu - can get really irksome for someone staying for multiple days. Having said that, it's not a deal breaker for me and I'd definitely stay here again if and when I happen to be in Central Istanbul.

Excellent location in the historical center of Istanbul makes it possible to feel the city better and watch its life. And thanks to friendly, hospitable, helpful staff (Yusuf, Rami, Savaja, Laila, Ermina) we felt not just visitors but the dearest guests. All our questions - from recommendations on gift purchases to the best ways to the sights - reseived detailed answers. Every evening when we came back and sat down on the couches at the entrance we got glasses of hot tea with delicate kurabies and all our tiredness was gone immediately. This hotel met our expectation. Its location is very good. There are many restaurants, cafes and convenience stores right outside the hotel and around the area. The hotel is situated in between two T1 tram stations at Sirkeci and Gulhane, and also a Marmaray train at Sirkeci. All the stations are within a 4- to 8-minute walk from the hotel. We booked through Agoda and as usual, checking in was a breeze. Mr Engin at the front desk was professional, friendly and helpful. The rooms are adequate for 2 people. All the basic room necessities are included. The free WiFi connectivity is good. The small TV is strangely position at a corner and there is hardly a channel in English. The rooms are cleaned quickly and problems with the shower screen are immediately attended to. The shower gel has a pleasant smell. There is a maid's cart which is parked along a corridor next to a rubbish bin. It was parked permanently there causing some obstruction and could be a hazard during an emergency. Breakfast buffet starts at 7 am until 10 am and most times we noticed it was extended to accommodate late comers. We love the fresh bread and simit. There is a large array of Turkish breakfast and we tried a few dishes just for curiosity sake. It was nice to see the restaurant manager busy helping out during breakfast. The hotel's location is near Eminonu, where we walked and took the ferry to the Asian side. We also love to hang out here, near Eminonu's side of the Galata Bridge, watching the night lights, the ferries coming in and leaving the busy harbor. We find shopping at Eminonu somewhat cheaper than the famous bazaars. We traveled mostly by trams and when it got too late and we got too tired, we took the taxi. Unfortunately, some taxi drivers do not know the hotel's location even when we showed them the full address. We got around this by alighting at Sirkeci tram station and walk back to the hotel. Overall, we had a nice holiday in Istanbul and Maywood Hotel made it possible.
