Hotels Near Ginger Wok In Houston
3.09km from SubwayA 79 year old lady friend lost everything she owned in a fire. She had no family. I, being an acquaintance, chose this motel because it was the closest to her burned home and close to my work. I paid for her lodging for a week. The office staff was rude and horrible to her all week. And they were rude to me when I would come and pick her up to go eat. The Friday night before she was to check out on Saturday, her room was robbed while she stepped out to get some fresh air and what little we had managed to get for her in her purse was taken. In her purse was money that had been donated to her, prescriptions we had managed to get for her heart, and what little identification she had. It was all stolen! The lady at the desk, who lived there but seemed to not work there, said they could look at the DVR and see who went in her room. I called the police and an officer responded and filed a police report. She asked the very rude man if he would look back at the tape and he refused to cooperate with the police. He, instead, chose to cover up for the thieves that stole her things. He said his manager would have to do it and he wouldn't be back for two days. Two days later when I talked to Mr. Patel, the manager, he said this horrible man was the one who knew how to look back at the recordings. Unbelievable!!! Do NOT stay at this motel. Criminals lurk within this establishment!

3.51km from SubwayGot a good first impression of the front desk. He gave me free waters and chips for my kids. The lobby was clean and modern. Walmart literally across the street. Area didn't look shady that I would worry about my truck. You can tell the rooms had a complete makeover to look more modern. From the tile in the restroom to a router/extender in the room for high speed internet(got 90mb download). Would recommend

5.31km from SubwayRooms were very clean. The lady at the front desk was very nice and friendly. They gave me a thank you bag for staying with them. They can improve on there breakfast. The muffins were old. I have stayed at this hotel before and the breakfast was very good. Not this time. Please make sure guests have fresh breakfast and napkins. I realize it is a small hotel but don't slack on amenities because you are not slacking on the price. Thanks,

5.61km from SubwayWe stayed there two nights, the night we arrived at the airport and the night before we departed. We were pleasantly surprised from the time we got there to the time we left how helpful the Owner, his Family, and his staff were to ensure our stay was perfect. The rooms were clean and well equipped. The hot breakfast was great. The transportation to and from the Airport was efficient and on time. I would certainly stay there onec again when our travels bring us to Houston.

5.61km from SubwayThe name of the comfortable hotel is better than the Days Hotel, but the price is relatively high.
5.62km from SubwayIt feels like a hotel opened by an Indian, but it is very warm. The front desk gives a free boarding pass. The breakfast cake can also be the front desk. The first floor is a floor.
5.74km from SubwayI've stayed here on several occasions and there is pros and cons no matter where you stay but considering the prices between this facility and the others in the area you are getting great service for the price. This place is really cheap compared to the other hotels in the area and also offers great service compared to the others at their price point. The rooms are clean and well furnished and the amenities in the room are also great (coffee machine, ironing board, so many tv channels).

5.77km from SubwayI had to stay at this facility for over a month due to damage to my house from an accident. Despite the circumstances, I thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The staff was courteous, knowledgeable, &professional. My room was cleaned to a very high standard & the facility, overall, was well maintained. In addition the front desk staff was extremely helpful in helping me to breakdown & organize my receipts for insurance purposes. I had to use one of their handicap accessible rooms due to a disability & had no issues moving around in my wheelchair & using the bathroom or shower. Very well designed ! If I have one complaint it’s the internet which was terrible. Also due to the coronavirus the breakfast & pool ares were closed so I can’t give a proper review on those items, but other than than that it was a little like home for over a month. Would highly recommend !
5.79km from SubwayThe room were so nasty. Bathroom wasnt clean had to clean the tub before using it. The bed sheets was dirty and stained gross🤮 had to sleep on top of the covers. Didnt have enough towels. Dust everywhere floors wasnt vacuumed. The pictures they give you on the internet while booking is not what you get seriously false advertising.
Hotels Near Ginger Wok In Houston Review
My wife, her Service Dog and I stayed at this property. When checking in I was greeted by P. K. and even though I made sure to let the property know that we were traveling with a Service Dog it seemed like it was a complete surprise to P.K. He asked for proof for the Service Dog, this is against ADA rules, but since I was tired I showed proof along with her shot records. Once we got through this the room (which was handicap accessible) was amazing!! It was big enough to accommodate my wife in her wheelchair. Suggestions I would make are to install a 24 inch grab bar in the shower along with a shower seat. Also, the bed is too high for a disabled to get into, I had to lift my wife to get her onto the bed.Once these adjustments are made we would definitely stay here again. P. K. kept asking us if all was good.
The hotel location is very good, in a very downtown place. Opposite gallaria, next to walgreen, shopping and eating are very convenient. Parking is definitely expensive and hotel services are also expensive. This is the US.
I was looking for a hotel with a nice soft bed so I thought I would give the Hilton a try...I would give the softness of the bed a 3 out of 5 for 125.00 for one night, I expected for the bed to feel more like the softness of a tempurpedic matress unfortunately it was not even close, that being said, it was still soft enough for me to get a Great night sleep, it is not nearly as hard as the beds at the Holiday Inn Express, thank goodness. The pillows however made up for the not so soft bed , as soon as I layed my head down I was alseep in the middle of the day..lol...The room was set up very nice, and also I also liked the fact that they have free parking and alot of the parking is lite up and at the front of the hotel The Things that stopped me from giving this hotel is 5 1) Most hotels check in are at 11am, but check here is the 4pm 2) the bed was not soft and it sinks in when you sleep or lay in it the wrong way 3) the cable kept going off so I could not watch anything hardly consistently
Hotel location is very good, in the subway DRYDEN station, 8 minutes from the DRYDEN Metropolitan Museum area three stations, there is a ticket vending machine on the subway platform for 1.25 dollars within three hours. The subway is parallel to the motorway on the road in front of the hotel. It is convenient to use the underground passage. There is a bathtub in the big bed room. The softness and hardness of the bed are suitable. It is suitable for a family of three. I feel comfortable living in the museum area ZAZA!
This Doubletree is 3 minutes from Hobby. They have excellent van service departing to the airport every 15 minutes. The airport pickup is rapid. Just call and they will be there usually in 6 minutes pick up spot 14 outside baggage claim. The front desk staff are very nice and professional. The rooms are always clean and recently were upgraded with new large TVs The Sundance bar is open 12 to midnight which is where I eat. They have the same menus as the regular restaurant. The two bartenders are great. Lane and Christian. There is a nice pool and gym. For a change from staying in the 9 story tower I like to stay in the cabana rooms. They face the pool and are separate from the main tower. I highly recommend this hotel for location and value when in the hobby Airport area
Enjoyed our stay! Will be back! Was originally going to stay at another location but decided to stay here and was not disappointed. Staff was nice and breakfast was delicious. Great hotel and we really liked the location.
Loved everything about this hotel will definitely be back!!!!!
Checked in here – found our room floor dirty – an apologetic maid in the hallway came in and swept it -not her fault – she said our room hadn’t been used in a while. The room itself was clean and tidy - good having a basic kitchen and this Woodspring suites – unlike the other in Tampa we stayed previously – includes cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery at no extra cost - great for cooking a meal. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom – nice big walk in shower – but shower door track was broken. No hand towels, no tissues supplied. TV was good, but no TV guide for channels and programs. Also there was no motel info booklet. On check in the wifi not mentioned – so we had to go ask reception for the code. Guest Laundry was handy - $2.25 a wash and $2.25 a dry which we used. Whilst staying here the next morning the water went off. We had checked in 3 pm the day before and there was no mention of an outage by staff. We rang reception and they said it is was a planned outage and didn’t we see the notice at reception- this was not one when we checked in – it must have been placed there later. If staff knew they should have verbally told us and we would have risen earlier to shower etc. By the time we have discovered it it was already too late. We had to go out for the day and drive just to find a functioning toilet. Couldn’t have a shower and even clean our teeth properly with absolutely no water. Provision should have been made for water bottles and functioning (portable?) toilets given their prior knowledge. And why not slip a note under guests doors informing them. Not even coffee available as that had already run out just after 9am. Staff less than helpful. We don’t blame the hotel for the outage – but blame them for extremely bad handling of this event. When we returned that afternoon – water was finally back on but our bathroom sink cold water tap flow was non-existent. Rang reception and they said no maintenance until tomorrow. Therefore we had to clean teeth and shave in the kitchen sink- not good enough!! Staff were hardly ever in attendance at reception when you walked past. When they were there there was no greeting etc like most hotel receptions On the morning of check out we had to wait while they chatted amongst themselves about their weekly work schedule before they would serve us- so it took a while-not very professional. Extremely poor service from a hotel that could offer so much more. To top the stay off -a semi naked man knocked at door at 7.30am!
We stayed there two nights, the night we arrived at the airport and the night before we departed. We were pleasantly surprised from the time we got there to the time we left how helpful the Owner, his Family, and his staff were to ensure our stay was perfect. I really like this hotel, the breakfast is very rich, the service is very warm, the front too, and the Chinese service, too intimate, the room is big enough, clean enough! I have cleanliness, saying no pressure!
We have been here for awhile .. and seen a few staff members come & go. There is a new overnight house keeper named GLENDA! At first she was very quiet. Due to Covid .. the hotel is not doing coffee in the mornings.. so I come down to get to go coffe cups and sometimes creamer... Glenda must have a photographic memory.. because she remembers when I need cups sometime before I remember..which is a nice welcomed surprise .. it allows us to actually relax instead of jumping at the last min or getting dressed to go down stairs ... I often forget my key in the room when I take the dogs out! She was helping someone at the counter .. I assume she overheard me mention to my other half that I forgot the card upstairs… When we walked back in with her animals she already had two keys waiting for is right there behind the front desk... which was so wonderful... because of HER FORTHOUGHT , polite , & very thoughtful nature.. By having those ready before returning we were able to avoid ppl in the lobby including another dog. Some one walked in with the moment we walked out of the lobby!! Management :::: please consider Glenda as employee of the month or something! She really deserves it !!!
Well it was Fathers Day night everything was cool no problems straight to the room that next morning I woke up and left the room about 8am give are take how ever some one came in my room with my pregnant girl friend !!! It was very uncomfortable especially being she was naked . No one knocked on the door are nothing keeping in mind check out was until 12 noon
Conveniently located to nearby restaurants and shopping centers. Also Close by the airport. The hotel has complimentary shuttle service. The area is quiet. Rooms are nice and clean. Comfortable bedding and sitting area. Room equipped with a stove top, dishwasher, refrigerator, dishes and microwave. Complimentary breakfast during the morning and most evenings complimentary dinner is served. I looked forward to dinner most nights. A menu is usually located at the front desk. Front desk staff is friendly as well as the shuttle driver. Overall great location and great stay!
This Residence Inn is under renovation. The rims that are done are gorgeous and beautiful with all the amenities and up-to-date in every way. There is a lot of work in the halls and then the rooms that are not finished creating quite a mess and the common areas. There is a nice Courtyard with pool and BBQ and nice trees and foliage as well as a basketball court. The staff here is really nice and the housekeeping is doing an awesome job. Good part of town with lots of restaurants nearby. They do have gated parking but it is free. Only issue I really had was that air conditioning it does struggle to keep up with providing a cool temperature inside the rooms of low 70s. Can't seem to get below 72 this summer. 72 might be cool to a Texan but for anybody from out of town that's not used to the humidity 72 feels like upper eighties. Would recommend this hotel Once the renovations are done. I bet it's very nice once all the renovations are done
We went late, so the shuttle bus had to call the main station. Usually quite a lot The staff is very friendly and the service is particularly good. The room is very big. After all, it is big Texas! !
The room has two double beds and a sofa bed. The size of the double bed is a bit small, and it will be a little crowded to sleep for two adults. It is okay to pull the sofa out and sit on the bed and sleep for two people. There is a microwave in the room, no cooking utensils and cutlery, it is difficult to cook, only the microwave oven can simply heat the microwave food. Hotel breakfast is an ordinary American breakfast bar, but there are not many varieties, but the fruit coffee yoghurt eggs are very complete, and there is no problem to eat. The hotel is in the downtown area, and there are some tramps around in the evening. It is best not to go out late. The three hotels are connected together and they will enter the wrong hotel if they are not careful.
well. All aspects of hygiene are good. The breakfast is also very good. Hot water and lemonade are available at the door. The front desk service attitude is also very good. The whole town is also very nice, with a beautiful water tower painted with birds.
Great place to stay for the family and businesses and we enjoy it. We stayed there for 2 nights.
Like a motel, the room is large, clean, and fully equipped, but because it is close to the highway, there is a car driving overnight. If the sleep is estimated to be a bit noisy, I feel that it is okay after living for 6 days. The only thing I am not happy with is that the breakfast content is too small, but the price is cheap and acceptable.
Good location, close to the airport, clean rooms, bar on the first floor
This is what I would call a "sleeper" because it's pretty non-descript and ugly on the outside, but the rooms are actually very up to date and clean on the inside. New finishes, a couch, comfy beds and super fast internet. My only complaint is that the "hot" breakfast consists of a choice of waffles or boiled egg. Not bad for the money though.
Did not have breakfast, eat a few days each person 12 knives a day, children half price. Self-service, average American breakfast. Not expensive or cheap. It is not convenient to have no car in the United States. So staying here is much cheaper than downtown. Drive to the museum area, follow the morning peak for about 40min-1h, and go to the space center for about 1.2-1.5h. Can be tollway, less than 2.5 knives for each of the 7 seats, not expensive, take the right cash channel, below 20 can be zero. Houston is planning very well, the museum areas are all together, naturally, children are close.
I am very grateful to this hotel because I only arrived at the airport at one o'clock in the morning, and the driver who was picked up by the hotel staff had already gone home. However, when I called the hotel, they learned about my situation and compensated me for the rental. The cost of the car. The hotel’s facilities are very complete and of high quality. The hotel’s front desk is very friendly and helpful. This hotel left me a deep and wonderful impression and a lot of gratitude.
well. The hotel is located in the city center, it is very convenient to travel, the room is in good condition, the mattress is comfortable, the staff service is warm and thoughtful, and will come again.
business trip, was clean and nice how ever service was not the best
I just stayed couldnt even make it couple of nights. I was in town on contract work, it was a terrible experience. Bathroom doors don't close right and are flimsy, everything felt cheap and in disrepair. The whole place has the aire of a cheap stripper motel. At $97/night you can definetly find a nicer place to stay in Houaton off highway 6. Going into our second night there I arranged payment with the manager - after he had trouble with trying to process my card over the phone - for after i got off work. Note I had tbis card on file from my initial online reservation. He assured me everything was ok and my family, staying in the room would be fine and left undisturbed. I come back to the room to my wife sobbing uncontrollably after the staff harrassed her twice for payment or threatened to be kicked out with our two young daughters and no car. When confronted about it the other manager scoffed and dismissed me. We left immediately. In short if you're looking for a place to cheat on your wife this is probably a good place to do it. If you have a family or any inkling of since I'd reccomend finding another place. They are unprofessional and not well veresed in the hospitality industry at all.
It is said that it is OK for the colleague, and it is convenient to check in.
The hotel is very nice, very close to NASA, mall and many places to eat around. The hotel has different meals from night to morning, and the service is good!
