Horror stories about this place generally true in past. I am a contractor who stayed there overnight (March 4, 2019) to survey property and meet the new management (effective Feb. 1, 2019) and more importantly new owner. There is a commitment to upgrading the entire property and improvements are already being made. In particular no longer renting to locals which eliminates a lot of the past problems. Request one of the nicer rooms, some are much better than others. Still a ways to go but new owner is very experienced and has many well cared for properties in Oregon. I believe property is safe. Nice restaurant 100 yds. across parking lot. Full service gas station next door.

Let's get the good stuff mentioned first: The parking lot is large and very well lit, the front desk area is nice and the staff is very friendly, and the rooms are spotlessly clean and in very good condition. Strangely every single room door seems to have been painted white by a 5 year old with a broad brush! There is white paint all over the trim, the keylock mechanisms, and broad strokes on the door where there is little to no paint at all. If that's not bad enough, there are doors which are held together by six inch L shaped pieces of angle iron screwed right into them. Oh goodness. The room is barely big enough for the bed and a bathroom the size of Barbie's. The room faced the street and seemed to have ZERO soundproofing so you were serenaded by trucks and motorcycles zooming by all night and by the freight train which whistled and shook the building constantly. Unfortunately I was not impressed.

Location great...only a few minutes to anyplace in Albany we needed to be....unfortunately we were ther e as the corona virus was cranking up. Staff did best they could under circumstances...I believe a few nights we may have been the only people there. So few people that breakfast service was curtailed.....staff very accommodating.

Clean, quiet and very reasonably priced. I would stay here again. I went to the Chinese restaurant, the Rainbow Room, located next to the motel and would advise everyone to never eat there. It was the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. I ordered a combo meal to go and had to throw it away. It was inedible. Besides the awful dinner experience, I really liked the Rodeway Inn.

Customer service was solid, they had to go breakfast which was a nice bonus(rotating hot food item, yogurt, drink, pastry, fruit), there’s also complimentary coffee/tea available in the lobby. Our room was pretty comfortable. Our second time staying here and I really liked it both times. Room AC worked well, WiFi was good. I’d recommend!

Facilities/Amenities were nice! Room was super spacious and comfortable. Temperature was warm even with thermostat down to 69 degrees but it also may have been because the blankets are suuuper warm, made it a little hard to fall asleep. Service was solid, the receptionists were nice/friendly. I got a tiny tiny cut from the sink’s pull knob(?) by pulling it too hard/carelessly, so just be careful/slow when using it, the sides are kinda sharp. There was a little bit of trash and a left behind mascara under the bed on the side that wasn’t ours. Price for the room was super affordable, it was a really good deal and I’d be down to stay again for sure!!

The front desk service was very enthusiastic. At first, credit cards in China and Canada could not be swiped, but it was processed quickly. The hotel location is also very convenient, walking distance to 7-11 convenience stores, and McDonald's, a little further away, there is Safeway supermarket, and it is also very close to the city center across a bridge, the accommodation experience is still very good, recommended!

The hotel is in a good location. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to Pioneer Court Square or the river. Taco bell and subway fast food restaurants are nearby. The hotel does not include breakfast, but the big supermarket less than 5 minutes walk can completely solve the problem. The hotel has free parking and the front desk staff are polite. Just because I was not diligent enough in sanitation, I stayed in a hotel for three days, but one day I didn't hear anything.

I booked two room for my family. There weren’t two rooms adjacent or even on the same floor. So they asked if I wanted to upgrade $25/ night to a corner room so that i can be near my family. I think they should’ve waived the $25 because it wasn’t my request for he corner room, it was only to be near my family on same floor. The engineer had to be called into my room because the movie order tv service isn’t working. Has to be fixed tomorrow.

The location of the hotel is superb, just next to the MAX light rail station. After the airport is out, you can take the MAX directly (but please note that the Convention Center station is closed at the end of May, 2019.2.20, and you may have to get off at the previous stop). It is also very convenient to the city. The stadium of the NBA game is nearby (the distance of one stop). If you want to eat, you can choose from the distance you can walk. If you want to shop nearby, you can visit the Lloyd Center Mall (about ten minutes walk). The room allocated was quite large. There was a coffee machine, a microwave oven, and a small bar in the room. The only thing was a bit noisy for the light rail station, but it didn't affect me without sleep disorders.

The location of the hotel is quiet and safe, but it is recommended that friends who travel by car choose to drive a short drive away from the city. Parking is very convenient. The decoration is modern and clean, which is very suitable for couples and families traveling by car.

Can’t brag about the Hoxton enough! We had a lovely stay in Portland thanks to this hotel. The girls working the front desk, August and Joy, went particularly out of their way to accommodate us. They upgraded us rooms and helped us work out some missed travel info. They also wrote us three separate lists of their favorite restaurants for each meal of the day. We went to several of these places and were not disappointed. Our favorite part of our stay was their lounge area in the lobby. It’s a massive space with tons of vintage couches, tables and chairs. They have a coffee shop down there as well. It was perfect for our morning devotional time reading our bible and there was plenty of space between us and other guests. Sadly we missed out on their rooftop bar, but it sounds like they are opening that soon. Can’t go wrong staying here!
