      I arrived at Hotel about 03:35 AM. It was the time that all the people are sleeping. I was a little bit confused about my check-in because when I arrived at the counter he didn't ask me about my check in information.He just only asked me that I was paid or not and I said I've paid already then he showed me my room without asking to show my passport or check in information. Did he know me that I'm the girl who booked at 19th and arrived at 20th?? Maybe!!!🧐🧐 Never mind! The room is very fantastic and comfortable. I felt like I was in an spaceship🚀😅🥰. Since I was travel alone in Singapore I was afraid of sleeping at room alone.But the hotel is very safe .I really loved this place and next time when I come to Singapore, I promised that I'll book this hotel again ❤❤❤❤❤

      The service was good. Welcoming front desk. But it's a rather old hotel. The rooms have definitely been renovated but you can tell it's old. Corridors are not very well-kept although the rooms do seem clean. Can clearly hear the guest next door and anyone who talks/chat outside pretty clearly. (Guest next door was vomiting at night and we could hear it rather loudly). The place is suitable for a short stay. Amenities were all working great despite the old building. Aircon cold, heater working well. I would suggest to change some items such as the toilet paper cover which will make the room look nicer. The corridor and lift as well, make it look neater and more put together 👍

      The transportation is convenient, there are many places to eat around, the beds are very comfortable, and the staff are very polite. This is my second stay but it also made me feel very disappointed 😞 I decided that I would never choose to stay at this hotel again for the following reasons. 1) Because of the experience，I have indicated that I would like a quieter room when I booked the room, but the staff at the counter still gave me a room near the road and the birds is very noisy at night , the counter said The room is full and cannot be changed. 2) I booked 2 single beds (Deluxe twin room), but the counter staff assigned was double bed room for me. When I called to the counter, they said they would find someone to come up and split the bed with me. My point is the customer has booked the room, and the hotel should be ready to give it to the customer sooner, but unfortunately they did not do this. 3) The air conditioner was broken and asked if I could replace it with an electric fan. I immediately refused, and I couldn't accept it. In the end, I was willing to change the room to me.

      Stayed here a couple times cause of the price and convenience. But please be aware that the walls are really thin both front and back of the rooms so it can be quite noisy. My few stays with them 80-90% the people next door are always very loud and noisy. I had to call the reception multiple times for them to take action. Other than the convenience the room is so so only. toilet can be quite tight and small because of the layout.

      Very friendly staff, they will answer any questions you have and will greet you with a smile. The location is suitable, there is a bus stop located very close which is convenient. The breakfast is simple but some toast, cereal and coffee it good for me. The bathrooms are always clean, and there is always hot water. The rooms are clean with convenient storage. If traveling to Singapore by yourself specially for my ladies this is a good place to stay. Oh and there is an amazing ice cream shop close bya and may restaurants.

I would have preferred the shower to be a cabinet, not just a shower curtain because the bathroom was filled with water after each shower. Not sure if it's this hotel's company policy but so far the hotels I've been to, the toilet rolls are fresh. To me, it's just an indicator that this hotel can't be bothered.       I love the room as it was very cosy and simple. My favourite is the toilet! Yup!!!! The toilet flooring texture is those non slippery ceramic rough and smooth, nice to step on. The room is clean but sadly I found a random plastic bag in the drawer which I believe it supposed to be disposed. One of the teaspoon have a stain which I feel reluctant to use. There were few small tiny flies it was NOT mosquitoes though found flying around. Also, the door and room is not soundproof at all, I can hear all noises from the corridors people talking and laughing loudly, noises from the ceiling and water running through the pipes from different rooms. Just these points to take note but otherwise, this hotel is good enough for a short staycay with budget ka-ching! As you can see on my pics, it’s nice and neat so why not? :)

      We arrived at Pine Hostel 16.08.19 at 21:00. We had a 4-person room reservation. We were looking for the 4-person room, because we didn't want beds in the common rooms. The booking was confirmed by credit card, but the payment was not write-off. A day before the alleged check-in came a text from the booking site that it was necessary to update the card data. What was very strange because the card was not changed and used actively. But to avoid tempting the fate, everything was updated. On arrival, we were informed that we could not pay our number with a credit card. Although the booking was indicated that the card payment was possible. More interesting: it turned out that we could not be set in the room we booked. They have some problems. They were ”very” apologized and offered to settle us in 2 different rooms for 2 people. According to the owner, these rooms ”will be even better, and since it is his fault, he won't take money from us.” It's good that we guessed to go see these ”best rooms.” One room was a size of 2 square meters, in which you can only stand (because there was no more room) with a two-storey bed. Attention: There was no door in this ”wonderful” room! Carl, room without door! Apparently, the hostess understood that we would not agree and offered another option - 4 beds in the 8th local room without windows 🤦. He offered it all to give us 4m. To get into this room, it was necessary to pass through the women's room (for 12 seats) and, of course, in the proposed room too there was no door! 🤷🙎 Yes how??? How there people live?? ! We were in shock! The hostess canceled our booking at this time, pointing out as a reason - the invalid credit card!!! That is, this ”great” man made us guilty! The operator from Bucking could not help, because as the booking was canceled because of the invalid credit card, we are ”own.” On our observation that the card is all right, and it is in the hostel not taking the card because of their technical problems, he did not answer anything. Or did not answer that we could not be set in the room that we booked. And the replaced rooms are terrible! After talking to the Bucking operator, the hostess came up to us and offered to replace our booked room with another. But in another hostel. By entering the site of this hostel, we were terrified even more. Apart from the clops, garbage and other ”charities” from the reviews we learned, that people throw with bookings. Just like in our situation. Promised and dispatched one for sale, but actually provides absolutely another. As a result, we started looking for a room in other hotels that are not cheap in Singapore. People never book in this hostel of the room!!! If you are settled in the room, then without the door, or at all throw, like us! There is a complete deception!

      There are many hostels for backpackers around Lavender Street, and I booked this capsule type room from the price and the evaluation on the net. First of all, from Merritt. The location is about 5 minutes walk from the lavender station and there is a bus stop in Jalan Besar even if you use the bus. The price is also good, with no big difference between the capsule type room and the dormitory. Also, the capsule is different from Japanese, and it can be completely locked from the inside, so it becomes a private room, and there is a sense of security. There are several improvements. First, the number of keys. The entrance on the first floor is different from the front desk, but for this reason there is one card key. Next, one key to open the door of the room where the capsule is installed. Finally, a card key to use your capsule will carry three keys in one piece. Although it is water around, there is a shared shower, but all towels and soap must be prepared by yourself. The shower room is narrow, and if you don't devise to bring a bag, the clothes you take off will get wet. The capsule also has difficulty and there is no power inside. So I couldn't charge my phone or my computer. There was a USB terminal, but it was broken. There was almost no smell to worry about, and the mattress was clean, but I felt the cheapness of the price. Still, the evaluation is high, so I receive that the quality of other hostels is worse.

      I first stayed at the SEA Hotel back in 2014 as it was recommended by my aunt and uncle who always stay here when in Singapore. I love the place. It’s old and rustic (a throwback to another time) but for $100 SGD a night with a fabulous vegetarian buffet breakfast included (Kwan Im restaurant) and prime location in Bugis you couldn’t ask for anything more. Also when booking the staff are excellent in replying to queries and give very detailed information about getting to the hotel and airport transport options and nearby attractions. Free wifi was included and it was fast and reliable. The staff on the front desk were friendly especially the girl who checked me in. Bugis+ shopping mall (10 levels with cinemas, food/retail options galore and taxi rank) is less than 5 mins walk. I use this as a taxi pick up/drop off point to various attractions from the hotel. Bugis MRT Station is 5-10 mins walk and is on the airport line (10th station from the airport, with 1 change at Tanah Merah, cost only SGD 2.50) The Kwan Im Temple is right next door and worth checking out (it gets very busy with local worshippers). Directly outside is a pedestrian mall with a flurry of activity with market stalls and street vendors. The hotel is simple and rooms unadorned with only the basics but it’s all there and excellent value for money. They do request you leave your key if you go out and recollect (24 hour reception) but I conveniently forgot to do this most of the time and it was never a problem. Oh and don’t even think about bringing durians to the hotel!

      We were a group of 12 and opted to stay in this hostel booking the whole 12 beds room, which we were very glad to have as it was the room at the top floor of the hostel, meaning the less noisy and more isolated one from the rest of the chaos. Let's start with the room: we had bunk beds with everything you may need: sheets, pillows, curtains to close them at night (great stuff for privacy this!) and personal lockers (you need to bring your own padlock). In the 12 beds room there was a private bathroom too with 2 toilets and a shower, which was very handy as it gave us some privacy. There are also more showers and toilets in the other floors that we could use. Breakfast was provided in a weird way: the first night we arrived we noticed a big plastic box in the room. The surprise was they have left us ”the breakfast” for the following 2 days in there, which consisted of bread, jam, tea and coffee. Not what we expected, but it did the job. And now let's move to the worse bit of the hostel: the common areas. There is way too much people hosted in the hostel for the size of the common living space they have. The kitchen is tiny, and there is a sofa at the entrance that is always busy and with lots of people sleeping on it, so you can't really use it. The people staying in the common areas (not sure if they were guests of the hostel or not) was a bit peculiar, so we were glad to have our own space. The front desk is not very friendly but the check-in and out was smooth and easy (beware check-in is not allowed before 3pm). Overall it's a very basic hostel but the location is good.

      Booked the single room as a quick 2N getaway for the long Vesak Day weekend. Added breakfast at the restaurant for each day. The Good: - Room was very clean. No visible stains. Standard room amenities were present. - Business nature of hotel is apparent - solid desk for work, and Wi-Fi is fast and stable. Plenty of sockets available for devices. - Breakfast at the restaurant was solid. Was a bit disappointed that the selection didn't change on the second day, though. - Location meant easy access to food at Bugis Street area. Was able to walk to Rochor station within 3 minutes. The Bad: - Mini-fridge was damaged, and blanket was missing at first. Replacements arrived after around 20 minutes from call to housekeeping. - Television was rather grainy in quality, and channel selection was limited. The Weird: - Ended up being given a wheelchair accessible room. While the room was a bit more spacious than normal, the curtained off washroom area made it feel a bit like a hospital ward. Conclusion: - Great place if you're here for a business trip, or if you want to explore the area for a day or two. You might want to consider somewhere more luxurious if you want a relax-cation for longer.

      Everything here is perfect! We booked it for a mini-moon right after our solemnisation and was greeted with warmth and surprises! They surprised us a bottle of champagne and a cake for the night! The service crews were super friendly, thoughtful and always with a smile on! Everybody here was really attentive and the service provide were very guest focused. The breakfast served was delicious and hearty. We were also served with evening cocktails that comes with light bites and unlimited cocktails to taste! The in room dining we ordered was great too! We could dine at the balcony and it was really romantic. The overall environment here is serene and pleasant that allows you to recharge and relax. It made us felt like we are overseas in a resort. A big shoutout and thank you to everyone at The Barracks Hotel for making our mini moon memorable and for all the warmth and hospitality during our stay here. We love it and definitely returning back again! 💜

      As an Ascott group member, there are decent expectations of an Ascott experience in all the properties in which I had once stayed (Ascott, Somerset, Citadines). Citadines Rocher (recently opened in 2020) was one of my top choices in having a local staycation because of its location and price range. However, it was an overall disappointing experience, and here’s why: 1. No daily housekeeping service 2. Our bathroom door could not close. It was completely off the ledge. 3. Reception is busy all the time. Phone calls are often not answered 4. This hotel was most probably a designated hotel used for both Malaysian citizens who were unable to return home due to locked borders, as well as returning Singaporeans to serve their mandatory 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN). There were confirmed COVID-19 cases within my period of stay. We were notified by a letter from the management. The least the management could do was to provide a mask or sanitizers to guests. We also chanced upon 2 medical workers fully donned in PPE escorted a guest to the ambulance. Scary stuff. 5. We took our own trash out of the room since day 1 of check-in. It was not cleared even upon checking out. Dear Citadines Rocher, please review your services. I had absolute faith and would like to continue giving my support to Ascott despite this awful stay.

      The location of this hotel is definitely not as accessible as all other hotels I went before. It is only easier if you go via car for the first time. Subsequently when you explore the area a bit more, then you can try the path via the UBS building itself. This information perhaps should be made known on the hotel's website. In terms of cleanliness, one of the cups in my room was not washed cleanly. I can see the lipstick mark of a previous user, with some coffee dripping down that lip mark. Had to manually wash it. I would have been more prepared if I brought some detergent along. In terms of service, you must know that they do not provide additional towels for you, even upon request. You can only go and exchange with what you already have. Example, if you need an extra towel to wrap your hair, it is not possible. One room, if 2 pax, they will only give u 2 towels and one floor carpet. I think this is not a good point. The cafe lodge is nicely decorated, just that food have to wait at least 30mins, even if it is a simple set. And not all food are available. But can just chitchat while waiting, or maybe next time just order in advance. The good thing is that at least there is no insect in the room and bed sheets are pretty clean.

      The package which includes the steak at opus bar and grill was fabulous. The food was very nice and the portions were generous, and yes free flow of wine (both red and white for two hours). The service staff were also very attentive and everything was great! Having said that, we just have one feedback on the tv in the room. The tv is still not working after the technician came to fix it. It’s a bit disappointing but we just let it go since we are only staying one night at the hotel. Other than that, no complaints.

      No contact check in/out was easy and fuss free. Though you would have to download the app, the hosts were always online and quick to respond to any needs. Cabin M may be small for 2 pax apart from the bed, but i stayed alone and it was just right for me. The shared baths were mostly kept clean as housekeeping would come by every now and then. Toilets were dependent on whether the other people on the same floor used it responsibly as well. Kitchen had basic necessities e.g. microwave, water dispenser and sink. Overall, I loved the location the most as it was very convenient to get food or to the MRT! Would be back again

The 2 biggest problems are the travellers who don't respect the sharing room after 23h00 (need a corfu or to be advise) and the room on the street side with a restaurant open 24/24, are to to noisy. You just get little sleep. Coming from Airport, with MRT get off at Jelan Besar exit B, turn right, walk to Dickson Road. To take the bus via Malaysia, walk via Jelan Besar, turn left and right on Weld Road, it will be on your right (3.5MYR)

Check in was fast and on time at 2pm but to our horror, the room wasn’t at a really clean state when we entered. There were strands of hair in the bathtub, sugar all over the cupboard, rubbish on the floor as well as bunch of hair stuck between the bathing towels. Breakfast was…disappointing. Food was cold despite it being on a heater, tasteless and oily. There was no complimentary parking and wifi in the room was slow (could barely load anything).

      Stayed at this beautiful gem for 3 nights and personally, I loved the fact that it’s just mere walking distance to a wide variety of halal eateries. I booked a Queen deluxe room and I have to say, the bedding was amazing. Super soft pillows and super comfy blanket to cover my body because of the strong air conditioning. Only setback during my stay was the unstable on & off free wifi, no bathroom door in the shower and no Netflix or YouTube. Pros - Location, bed comfort, wide range of halal food, nearby conveniences Cons- Unstable wifi connection, no bathroom door, no video streaming service, small non-HDTV

      It was a family leisure staycation for the weekend and it was fantastic!! My family really enjoyed the stay at the hotel. The check in was a breeze and Brenda was very fast and efficient It didn't take long for me to get my room. After check in we headed for the refreshments provided the staff ( Seri and Raymond) there were so warm and welcoming. The room was big and spacious and the best part every floor has a kind of a pantry where we can get ice cubes!! That's a major yay for me!! The hotel is located in the middle of all shopping centre so it was so convenient to go shopping. There a vending machine where you can get food and snacks if you get hungry at night at the lobby area.       We are asked to move to populous hotel due to some change of ownership. I ask for a free upgrade but was rejected eventhough I explain is my friend birthday. If they can be more flexi on the arrangement, i might book again. The wall is very thin and we are so lucky that our next door neighbor is noisy. They on their TV quite loudly the night and only decided to switch it off at 6.30am and switch it on again at 9.30am. There are plug beside the bed, so we can charge the phone anytime. Toilet is also very small, think huge people won't be able to squeeze in to the cubicle. Overall location is good, service staff not so friendly, room is small but clean. Good to have a short staycation with couple or friend.

      Friendly receptionist, great location close to the bus stop and train station. I would have preferred the shower to be a cabinet, not just a shower curtain because the bathroom was filled with water after each shower. Other than that, if you need a basic, clean room to sleep and shower in, it’s the best option in Singapore for the price.

      Thoroughly enjoyed our Mother’s Day staycation here. Staff were attentive and accommodating, and we really enjoyed the club lounge because of that. The staff made us a nice yogurt bowl and latte, and even told us that the bananas were grown in the compound. Hotel was very near the mrt and lots of restaurants. All in all, a convenient location!

      The four of us stayed here on our visit to singapore. The front desk lady charged or room deposit instead of merely taking a credit card number to charge later in case of damages (this was against policy I discovered later). We stayed in a room with a queen bed and two bunk beds, ensuite bathroom, plus a small balcony. The room was clean and comfortable - all features functioned properly. The location is far from the main areas of the city and on the other side of singapore from the airport. A subway station is about 10-15 minutes walk away. A bus stop is directly in front of the guesthouse. It's a solid 30 minute trip away from little india or little china. Being a hostel we had concerns about noise at night but were not bothered by any. We did not utilize the breakfast option but did eat at the restaurant across the street and found it acceptable. On checkout I found that they could not refund the deposit. After working with the manager over the next several days she refunded the deposit to me via paypal instead of a credit to my original card. That was not desirable at all, but was the best she said she could do. On the whole this was a nice stay, I only advise you to be cautious about your room deposit.

      Very small but cosy hotel located in geylang. Plenty of eateries around the hotel. A nightlife worth exploring. Accessible to buses and two MRT stations - kallang and aljunied MRT. Even though the hotel is run down, the basic amenities are provided. The cheapest budget hotel we have been so far.

      The check in was hassle free and the staff members were all very friendly and accommodating. They also upgraded us to the queen premium loft which was really kind of them. The room was cosy and clean plus the room service was quick/effortless. The location of the hotel is great because across the hotel there was a mall. However , one of the staff members at the swimming pool area was quite rude to us. When I ask where can i find the towel , she ignored me. Nevertheless , the hotel is amazing.

      When I arrive , check in counter had no guests but had 4-5 staff at the counter. They were chatting among themselves so I just went to a random one that finally made eye contact. During check in it was fine, except he didn’t really tell me anything like check out time, which lobby to use and was rather dismissive? Just gave me the keys say ok 😂 The room was dusty and the floor was a bit sticky if you walk barefooted. There’s no toilet paper but got tissue paper. Fridge was not cleared out from previous guests so I didn’t use it. Walls are really thin and I could hear the cleaners(?) talking super loudly amongst themselves and I could hear the tv from the room opp ? Pretty sure I didn’t get the free upgrade room either but I didn’t ask cos I wasn’t sure what’s the difference at this point. Check out is only thru the counter and had to queue which is fine but when a family came in and cut queue the counter just went with it? If there’s a quick check out box somewhere please enlighten me. Cos the previous time I was there the counter said there isn’t . I know this sounds like petty stuff but the last time I was there it wasn’t like this
