We stayed 2 nights tatami room on 3rd floor. The first floor area is new and welcoming. But our floor is quite basic and unappealing. The door system is using key, took sometime to turn knob properly. Entrance and door is tight and difficult to manage. Room is spacious. Probably can sleep 3pax with futon. Basic facility: mini fridge, safe, hot boiler, hair dryer, ocha set, hanger, basin, lcd tv. We din try the shower as we used the ofuro bath on 1st floor. Changing area is limited, no locker. The tub is 1 with 6-7 shower point. Water is hotttt..>40Cdeg, maybe because nobody in there. But we had a good soak after a day of tiredness. Friend used the laundry facility. Breakfast is quite good. The hotel was full, mostly truck and delivery drivers. So early batch breakfast is crowded as they were scurrying to leave. But after that, we could eat in slower pace. They offered japanese, western menu breakfast. We paid about S$75/pax. For all the facility we could use, think it's quite value worth. Not so much for tourist but more business hotel. But it was good location for us to shuttle to our meeting places.

Stayed for a night en route from Miyako to Morioka. Not very convenient unless you have a car, and there are practically no restaurants or convenience stores nearby. There is a small shop at the lobby of the hotel that opens till night and sells snacks and instant noodles and drinks. We had breakfast at the hotel, which was free with our stay, and a normal western-japanese buffet. Not that huge of a variety, but was quite tasty with the necessary yogurt, bread, and japanese items like porridge, fish, egg. Room was big, and apparently all rooms have an ocean view. We woke up at 530am just to catch the sunrise, and it was definitely worth it. Service wise was very good, expected of Japanese standards, and particularly Tohoku level!
