We stayed at the Marina bay Sands hotel for one night for our honeymoon.it’s a stunning hotel and the view from the infinity pool was worth every penny. I didn’t realise but there is also a jacuzzi on the opposite side of the infinity pool with a view of the gardens by the bay. The hotel staff were very helpful around the hotel and service was quick. They booked us in promptly and prior to the check in time as we had arrived early. The view from the deluxe garden view was outstanding. The room itself was spacious with one of the biggest tv in a hotel I have come across. I have only given 4 stars for the service as the room phone to request express service was not working. I had to phone via my mobile to get through to the service team to inform them. They did say someone will be on their way to review the phone but was not repaired/fix. Apart from that everything else was excellent. The breakfast has great vegetarian options to.

This hotel is 5.1 mi (8.2 km) from Universal Studios Singapore and 0.1 mi (0.2 km) from Gardens by the Bay.Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.Make yourself at home in one of the 4 guestrooms, featuring kitchens with microwaves and dishwashers. 46-inch Smart televisions with cable programming provide entertainment, while complimentary wireless Internet access keeps you connected. Conveniences include separate sitting areas and irons/ironing boards.
Good service, great view! Xiayuan restaurant is difficult to book, if you want to go, you must book in advance. Ritz's service has always been one of the best in my heart. The pad was left in the hotel when I left the store. Thank you magie for helping to find it.
Our stay was overall quite pleasant as we got a free upgrade to the bay view room. Soon after, we discovered a bed bug on the bed and was switched to a new room at a higher tier(?) almost immediately. I was pleased by the staff's efficient response. There is no doubt their standard of service is very high. I am still perplexed at the presence of the bed bug though. Perhaps it is time they call in pest control as the situation could be way worse if the bed bug proceeds to bite their guests. I would visit again as I loved the view and interior decorations. Oh, and we had $200 dining credits as well, and I enjoyed the best lamb chop I have ever tasted in Singapore, with their in-room dining service.
Was a great stay, and the food was fantastic!
One improvement point would be the level of service at the door - me and my companion had multiple suitcases and were obviously there to check in. There were about 4-5 staff standing around who avoided eye contact when we got off our cab, and we ended up touting our own cases for check in - which I've never had to do at any other luxury hotel at this price point.
In general though, the amenities and everything the actual room could offer was wonderful.
Was initially impressed by the room... until I put my things onto the bedside table and I brushed pass a stain on it. Window was also slightly dirty.
If it's any consolation to the housekeepers, I do think that they have a lot to do, so maybe they had to clean quickly and efficiently.
Next, I booked a packaged room with dining credits and was initially told to pay service charge despite ordering takeaway. Thankfully, the Manager waived it. Prior to this, I had checked with the restaurant involved and was told that all transactions involving hotel dining credits had service charge regardless of dine-in/takeaway.
We were subsequently offered an upgrade to a room with the view of Marina Bay. Prior, I should have asked the hotel when they would take us to the new room, because we ended up waiting idly for quite some time in the non-upgraded room, which was rather annoying because we could have made better use of the time to do other stuff (Instead of waiting). By then my hotel partner and I were just blaming each other for agreeing to the upgrade, which sort of ruined the day.
The upgraded room had a very nice view, but it did show some signs of age. The gadget to adjust the bathtub plug looked like it was falling off. By then, I was just too tired and frustrated and didn't want any more interruptions, so I let it pass. At least it didn't fall off during my stay.
On the whole, I do like the hotel and the atmosphere, but i feel that the quality check (QC) could be improved upon to minimize stay disruption
We were warmly greeted by the reception.
Our room was ready before the official check-in time of 3.00 pm. That is, of course , a pleasant surprise.
The children, age 7 and 9, were happy with the Urban Jungle Adventure room. Probably the with the rain, the walk distance was 100 metres more due to the detour.
Our room, Harbour Studio, was spacious and comes with a Nesspresso Machine.
The bed was cozy and soft.
The bathroom was also spacious and came with a hi tech bidet. The point to take note is the shower room was kind of small but that would not ruin the staycation exprience.
The location of the hotel is exceptional.
You can reach Marina Square, Millennia Walk and Suntec by foot.
Now the hotel under some refurbishment, hopefully when we comes back again for our 15th anniversary, the hotel can surprise us again.
Coincidentally, we celebrated our 5th and 10th anniversary at this hotel too!
A perfect three days two nights stay with my boyfriend at Park Royal. I especially like the swimming pool and the lobby design. The room is very clean and well designed. Wooden floor is nice and we have a little balcony in the room. Room size is big as well as the bathroom. There is a bathtub and it’s not bad. Night time swimming pool is very nice.
Was looking forward so much to a serviced apartment, but felt the service was sorely lacking.
Checking into the room, everything seemed old and slightly dirty. Worst part is when the bathtub tap was faulty and they took 2 hours to send someone over, despite reception assuring ”soon”. Understand it's a Sunday and lack of manpower, but the communication is so poor. They eventually fixed it but the technician was complaining about working alone on a Sunday.
Also they do not help to send your food / delivery to your room, so you have to collect it. Something I expect from a 3/4 star hotel, but definitely not a serviced apartment.
TV is also old, which I believe as a serviced apartment in the CBD area should be upgraded to at least a FHD TV.
Only saving grace was the gym and pool, besides the location.
Overall was disappointed with the service, but apartment is decent enough for the price (back then during covid times) and location.
Perfect location next to Marina square with lots of food choices. Service was excellent with friendly and efficient staff. Room was huge with a super long sofa, great view and clean. Amenities were sufficient but could include comb and some snacks if possible.
I went for solo staycation as I had been wanting to go but sadly they closed to assist government's support in covid-19 housing of SHN individuals hence my staycation was cancelled.
Glad that they open and went for a night solo staycation. What attracted me is their big room and big bathtub beside the window, and smaller infinity pool hence I look forward to staying here.
I would say the location is abit far off from the attractions and hence quieter, especially during weekends. The food garden at Asia Square Tower 1 & 2 opens only on weekdays for working staff. Hence, if you are staying on weekends, u will need to walk about 5 minutes to Lau Pa Sat for meal or walk to MBS which takes about 15 minutes. Otherwise, you will need to take a train to elsewhere for meal. Marina Bay Link Mall has Subway and Toast Box opening on weekends though.
There are 2 restaurants open on weekends at Asia Square Tower 2 ground level but not much variety.
The hotel room is big enough, clean and I love the bathtub beside the window. Not many hotels come with bathtub that is beside the window and the view is great.
Basic necessities are there, just that there is no comb. I'm quite surprised many 5-star hotels do not provide comb. I would think this is probably something for hotels to look into.
They do provide a travel plug in case u have forgotten to bring.
They also provide essential oil so that u can rub on to have a gd slp and wet wipe (1pc per night) for safe stay.
I like the swimming pool which is an infinity pool. It was quiet when I went which is great and not crowded.
There is also free whirlpool and steam room at their spa.
The gym is really perfect with all main equipments there. They look new and not wear off. Maintenance is great!
I have never gone to their restaurants but do note that they have happy hour for affordable draft beers. Visit their website to find out more.
I would stay again probably during weekdays so that I can easy access to more food.
Especially at night on weekends, it might be quieter for ladies who are on solo staycation.
Hope my review helps. :)

Hotels Near Goldleaf Restaurant In Singapore Review
The decoration is very old and has some smell. You need to let the smell go in every day; the hygiene is quite clean; the sound of the air conditioner is a window machine, and the sound is relatively loud: the quilt is a layer of cloth, and there is a separate thin blanket; the location is in a pedestrian street, taxi It’s not very convenient. Many drivers don’t know it. There are subways and buses nearby. In general, the traffic is convenient; there are shopping places such as bugis around; the service is good; breakfast is relatively simple, and there is a Yabo Center nearby that is good for eating; Sim Lim Square nearby It is said that the water is deep, so please be cautious when shopping; there are no dental appliances, there are fewer charging ports, and no water is provided.
The check in was very smooth. The location is great as it’s linked to Raffles City shopping mall and walking distance to City Hall MRT station. The room was spacious and there’s a balcony. Unfortunately the hotel don’t provide complimentary parking.
Nightmare. Avoid this place at all costs. Worst hostel I've ever stayed in. It's filthy, squalid, and shockingly bad. I have reported the hostel to the Singapore health authorities, and have followed up on the report. I hope that Singapore government shuts it down. It's beyond scary. It is by far the filthiest hostel I have ever stayed in. The common facilities are disgusting. The urinals are broken and covered in plastic bags. The floors and surfaces were filthy with brown or black sticky substances and mold. The sink was clogged. The male washroom door was perpetually held open with a string cord so that some guests could dry their clothes, thereby violating any sense modesty of those using the showers as well as women passing by the door. The soap dispensers are broken. There was a pile of vomit on the table which was left overnight. There were guests / squatters sleeping on each of the couches throughout the hostel; I saw at least 4 squatters. The room itself had a leaky aircon pipe which dripped ice water on me as I tried to sleep. There were used bandaids wedged into the shower and a used rusty razor blade shoved into the shower's water heater. The hostel attracted the worst people, and most inconsiderate roommates. I've been hosteling for over 20 years and it's almost always been a positive experience. This was the hostel from hell. I hope Singapore health department does the right thing and shuts this down.
Location is good for no lack of food. Near coffee shops, hawker centres and shopping mall(bugis). Have many selection and varieties of local food.
Amenities not so fantastic. Bare minimum and there is no in-house slippers. Only have body towels.Shower area is very small, enough to house a 70 kg adult COMFORTABLY. Air con control is of the old type, non digital. 4 pillows and quite comfy plus mattress is quite firm. Only minus point is that side table is quite far from the bed on one side. The mini sofa is not for lying. Awkward shape (see photo with bag). Though many TV channels, very old shows like Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones and the Net by Sandra bullock. has Chinese language channels and local ones
HDB blocks are very close by so need to draw curtains for more privacy.
No water heater as hot water is from roof top tank. Have to wait for hot water to come on after switching on like 5 minutes.
Reception staff was very polite and chirpy when we checked in. Staff name is Xiao Xuan and she gave us extra room cards when we requested. Didnt spend too long at the counter as she was efficient. Great service!
Great location, walking distance from Imbiah Station thus very convenient to take the train to the Beach as well as the Resort World. 🏖️
Exquisite & conial style design. It' s clean & tidy, thanks to the housekeeping staff Mohan & Jack.👏🏻
The friendly, professional, helpful staff really made our stay so warm & memorable. A big thank you to Aaron, Jeffrey, Din, Diana, Emily, JiaMing,Tono, Adkin, Danish and all who served us with enthusiasm & personal touch.👍🏻
The Living Room(lounge access):
Breakfast is delicious, hearty & healthy. Daily evening cocktail🍹 session pampered us with unlimited beverages & delicious bite-size canapes. This is definitely a highlight for our stay.✨
Upon learning that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, the hotel surprised us with a box of truffles & a small cake. It really touched our hearts with such a thoughtful gesture 🥰
As an Ascott group member, there are decent expectations of an Ascott experience in all the properties in which I had once stayed (Ascott, Somerset, Citadines). Citadines Rocher (recently opened in 2020) was one of my top choices in having a local staycation because of its location and price range. However, it was an overall disappointing experience, and here’s why: 1. No daily housekeeping service 2. Our bathroom door could not close. It was completely off the ledge. 3. Reception is busy all the time. Phone calls are often not answered 4. This hotel was most probably a designated hotel used for both Malaysian citizens who were unable to return home due to locked borders, as well as returning Singaporeans to serve their mandatory 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN). There were confirmed COVID-19 cases within my period of stay. We were notified by a letter from the management. The least the management could do was to provide a mask or sanitizers to guests. We also chanced upon 2 medical workers fully donned in PPE escorted a guest to the ambulance. Scary stuff. 5. We took our own trash out of the room since day 1 of check-in. It was not cleared even upon checking out. Dear Citadines Rocher, please review your services. I had absolute faith and would like to continue giving my support to Ascott despite this awful stay.
My first stay in YWCA Fort Canning. Located in the quiet side within close vicinity of Orchard Rd and quite close to the National Museum, Methodist Church, Fort Canning Park etc. Parking is free but needs to get the parking voucher at the reception area. Only 1 person at the Reception to handle all the check-in and check-out but he is quite efficient and very polite. The family room is spacious and clean, has basic amenities and comfortable beds. The toilet has bidet which is one of the key reasons for our choice as this is not found in many other hotels, including the premium ones. We had an issue with the noisy air-cond due to faulty motor which was replaced within 2 hrs w hile we were out for dinner. We like the responsiveness of the staff. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at YWCA Fort Canning.
Located right next to a bus stop and a 5-minute walk from a MRT station, this budget hotel screams value. Two restaurants right at the ground floor of the premises and a very famous Indian restaurant (A2B) within 3 minutes walk away, good food is very close by. Mustafa centra is a 5-minute walk. A no-frills, impeccably clean hotel in a great location - excellent value for money. We stayed there for 9 nights and every morning the cleaning team was prompt to leave our room blushing clean. My request for extra towels were immediately taken care of and seen through all 9 days. 24-hour hot water and air-conditioning were top-notch. Special shout-out to Ms Pam and Richard at the front desk who gave us wonderful tips about their country and made us feel right at home. The room cleaning persons (sorry, I missed taking their names) did a fabulous job every single day! I was travelling with 2 young kids and had requested a room on a higher floor with a double bed. They were able to accommodate me on their 7th floor (not noisy at night) but could provide me with only twin beds. This was a minor blip in the otherwise exceptional service provided my the hotel. Rooms near the lift tend to be a bit noisy throughout the day. Room # 710 was great - 7th floor and far from the lift. I'd recommend this place again to anyone looking for a no-frills budget hotel in a great location.
Clean.. comfort... water preassure is very good.😋. Room is quite spacious... if you travel with a family like me and on budget... this is my kind of place... will come here again and next time i will extra comforter.
Forgot to bring charger, they're able to borrow me. Hotel staff quite friendly, they're willing to help me to collect my grab food and send it to my room. Thanks for your help and service, I appreciate it.
I'm really not satisfied with their service, keep waiting and waiting, I stay 3days 2nights,wasted my time alot, when I request for makeup room ,I wait for around 5hours,keep calling front desk only answer will follow up,also cut my phone very fast yet I'm haven't finish my talk, at last still nobody coming over, haiz, until I going down chat with the another front desk only doing something ~~
Anyway Breakfast are great 👍
Ya that is true according to my wording if you dont have any other option then you can stay here othere please avoid. i stayed here for 1 night, but almost not comfertable, before i checked in a room when i layed down on my bed, it is keep on moving i asked to change my room and they did it but the room is not same like before but bed still moving some time. the cleanness of also not up to the mark. and they charged for wifi to heard, i was socked and the funny things is that you can use only one device with one password so you you would like to use aother device you have to buy another password. thats all ok but still after paying the wifi is not woking good. staff also lalking bit rude. At last for me sorry to say but not value for money. will never back with this property.
Great experience staying at Mercure. They attended to all my request for a higher floor and a late check out, and even gave us a drink voucher for my wedding anniversary.
The cleanliness of the hotel was fantastic, we have a wonderful stay at this hotel and will definitely return!
The only suggestion that I can give is to have the hotel shuttle bus locate near to the main street of orchard, as many passenger are puzzled why they should alight at Novotel Living at 8 Claymore, until the driver inform us that it is the terminal stop.
All of the hotel staff are friendly and approachable.
Pros: Our staycation started on a good note as the service was good from the minute of check in. The Front Desk staff was friendly and was patient with our enquiry. The cute tiger plush made my girls happy. We requested for an extra bed and it came within 30 minutes. As we have 4 pax in the room, we requested for extra bath towels and the Housekeeping team promptly delivered not only the towels but extra bottles of drinking water and lotus biscuits.
Cons: The water tap at the bath was so tight, so difficult to turn off. Can certainly do with more food choices for in- room dining. If only the pool has slides, else it's quite boring for children.
Fantastic customer services. Left my iPad at the hotel and the management team arranged to deliver it to me at the airport in the middle of the night. Their WhatsApp representatives standby all day and offer timely help to any problems. Really grateful and impressed by all the assistance.
Well located, really nice staff for everything, including informations. Bed was comfortable, good shower, breakfast simple but ok. The 2 biggest problems are the travellers who don't respect the sharing room after 23h00 (need a corfu or to be advise) and the room on the street side with a restaurant open 24/24, are to to noisy. You just get little sleep. Coming from Airport, with MRT get off at Jelan Besar exit B, turn right, walk to Dickson Road. To take the bus via Malaysia, walk via Jelan Besar, turn left and right on Weld Road, it will be on your right (3.5MYR)
The location is abit outskirt of orchard road. However the hotel did provides free shuttle service on half an hour interval to orchard area. Rooms are clean, and newly renovated as the hotel is new. The buffet breakfast is normal. But they do service quality premium coffee and teas. I was v surprise that there are no toast breads and pancakes/waffles provided for their breakfast spread. Breakfast serving is more catered for Asian where there are noodle soups and dim sums such as buns and lotus glutinous rice. The hotel has put all guests from Novotel and Mercure in the same restaurant for breakfast where it sometimes gets v crowded especially at peak hours between 8-9am. So be early for your breakfast if you do not want to wait for a table. It seems like both hotel guests get the same amenities such as accessible to infinity pool @ Novotel tower except with different room’s category. Where I think previously, Mercure guests are not allowed to do so. As both hotel charged at different room rates, I think it is a little unfair for people who stays in Novotel as both Novotel and Mercure are at different class of hotel categories.
Booked this place twice as the location was very good. Check in was fast and smooth just needed to fill in a form and photocopy ic. A $50 deposit is required as well. Room has a private toilet and hot water is available. Free bottled water too and bed is comfy. Overall quite clean but not for the fussy.
This was an overnight stay and we (two mature aged Australian couples) arrived from India very early on the first day (around 7.25 am). The hotel staff allowed us to check in very early. There were two couples and two people were unwell. So if we had needed to sit around for many hours awaiting a room it would have been painful. But the hotel counter staff said ”It is very early but we are flexible here and we will try to get your rooms ready ASAP”. One couple were in their room by about 8.30am and we got ours about 9.45am. This was excellent service and above and beyond normal expectations. The rooms are small but everything works: clean, nice bathroom, air-con, comfy beds, safe, tea making facilities, hairdryer, Wifi etc....all inclusive and working well. Very pleased and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone on an overnight stay or a short stay in Singapore and not wanting to spend a fortune on expensive hotels. They ring taxis for you and the cost to the airport was only about $10AUD.
The check in is slow on that day cause that white shirt lady take time to check our detail even I aready paid online booking and request a higher floor and connection room for 2 but after by 2pm check in she given us a family of 4 2 room is not connected and we found difficult in taking our shower or daily use need to call or press bell to look for item.
The morning breakfast on Sunday is good and delicious and the part time Chinese lady is hard working and good service to attend us.
Very friendly staff, they will answer any questions you have and will greet you with a smile. The location is suitable, there is a bus stop located very close which is convenient. The breakfast is simple but some toast, cereal and coffee it good for me. The bathrooms are always clean, and there is always hot water. The rooms are clean with convenient storage. If traveling to Singapore by yourself specially for my ladies this is a good place to stay. Oh and there is an amazing ice cream shop close bya and may restaurants.
Hotel is refurbished and was previously known as Elizabeth Hotel. It is located right next to its sister property Quincy Hotel, and shares the basement carpark.
Location is quiet, but just 5-10 minutes' walk from Orchard Road (take the shortcut through York Hotel and Goodwood Hotel's carparks to get to Scotts Road, then turn left and straight to Orchard, including the MRT station).
Premier room was nice, but can still see some wear and tear, especially in the toilet. Only 1 desk chair for sitting. Overall, a bit smaller than I expected, but comfortable enough for 2. King bed was a bit hard for me, but pillows had mix of soft and firm, which I liked. Shower only, but had both handheld and rainfall shower heads. Can drink straight from tap. Usual toiletries, including toothbrush/toothpaste and shaving kit provided. No comb. Can request for face towels.
Breakfast is by order with free flow, self-service coffee/tea/juices. Fairly decent in taste.
Service is excellent, with greetings whenever I passed through the lobby and good effort to meet my requests.
Didn't try the pool, but just a note that it appears larger in the photos compared to in real life (to me anyway).
Trip.com had best deal at my time of purchase.
Recommended for a quiet stay with easy access to Orchard + public transport with a bit of walking. Also easy access to Mount Elizabeth Hospital down the road for medical tourists.
Location is good, conveniently located near Jurong East MRT station and bus interchange. There are also three shopping malls nearby. Convenient for shopping and many food choices. With a few fast food places and donki which operates for 24 hours, a blessing for foodies!
Room is also clean and spacious, would be better if there could be an additional chair and small coffee table.
The self-check in kiosk not that user friendly though, many room for improvement.
Very good for traveler 🧳
Near many transportation.. It is recommended that it is clean and close to the bus and train.
Close to many food centers Say it's pretty good.
It's easy to travel anywhere.
Brought my parents for one day staycation. I decided a place where we hardly go to have that away from home feel. We stay Jurong West. There are many choices near Arcadia but it was Arcadia family room (with window) that attracted me. However, was disappointed as the reception informed that there only 1 of such room and was taken. Felt cheated and that the money was not well spent.
Location is great , near many food places & you can feel the weekend mood there . However the room can be improved? External is nice but not really on the interior or is it because I didn’t upgrade for club room access..
The bed needs a replacement ? Everytime I sit on it , there is a sound . Is not stable 😰 secondly the toilet bowl , it also makes a sound when I sat on it . & the drainage , there is white substance on it , not sure if it’s toothpaste or ? & the shower had a weird smell & the shower floor is dirty .. Not sure if is fully booked or the cleaning was done quickly that they missed out on what I’ve mentioned .. I had to wait to get my room keys after I registered . & i didn’t get up to check on it , it would be endless waiting ?
The four of us stayed here on our visit to singapore. The front desk lady charged or room deposit instead of merely taking a credit card number to charge later in case of damages (this was against policy I discovered later). We stayed in a room with a queen bed and two bunk beds, ensuite bathroom, plus a small balcony. The room was clean and comfortable - all features functioned properly. The location is far from the main areas of the city and on the other side of singapore from the airport. A subway station is about 10-15 minutes walk away. A bus stop is directly in front of the guesthouse. It's a solid 30 minute trip away from little india or little china. Being a hostel we had concerns about noise at night but were not bothered by any. We did not utilize the breakfast option but did eat at the restaurant across the street and found it acceptable. On checkout I found that they could not refund the deposit. After working with the manager over the next several days she refunded the deposit to me via paypal instead of a credit to my original card. That was not desirable at all, but was the best she said she could do. On the whole this was a nice stay, I only advise you to be cautious about your room deposit.
