|8.02km from city centerType of building is last-generation (room doors giving directly onto the exterior). Generally functional, but maintenance had obviously been spotty for some time. Rooms and bath were clean and functional; bed was excellent. WiFi was fast and cable TV better than average. Small details had been overlooked, however. Breakfast service was virtually nonexistent.

|2.3km from city centerWe stayed here 3 nights for a wedding held at the Chase Center. We've stayed in many Westins before, but this stay clearly showed us how poor in quality Westin standards have gone down. We requested an early check-in in advance through both the app and calling the reception, but had to wait a very long time for a double queen after being told the rooms were not inspected yet. When we finally got our room, we were disappointed to see the used and abused furnishings, particularly the desk with many markings over it. Our shower had drainage issues that we had initially fixed, but then continued throughout our stay. There was no shower gel, and barely any shampoo or conditioner in the tubes in the shower. None of the trash bins had any liners in them (how unsanitary!). Housekeeping was a pain to get a hold of; other people in our wedding party were told cleanings that included changing the sheets were only every 3 days (I've only had timeshare resorts tell me that before). I had to flag people down in the hallway for towels. Our wedding party had a couple suites booked and it was disappointing to see how dilapidated and dark the suite rooms looked, especially the furnishings that are long overdue to be changed with stains and threads hanging off everywhere. What really got me on this stay was that on our second night after all the wedding events transpired, we tried using the elevator to go back up to our room only to hear people trapped inside banging on the elevator doors for 10 min. I flagged a guy at reception to come help and he brushed it off so easily saying ”it's due to the pressure effects, they'll be back up on their floor soon.” As a physician, I told him this was an urgent matter as we don't know how many people are stuck in there and God forbid someone has a panic attack in there and passes out. I told him that elevator needs to be put out of service if it keeps stopping like this. He didn't give a damn and just walked away. It turns out it was my family members stuck in there for over 10 minutes. I find this to be so negligent of the hotel staff- I'm sure you'll have a lawsuit coming your way when the elevator pulls another extended pause. I also realized there is no service elevator that the staff can use, so they also use the main guest elevator, further causing elevator traffic. Also, the location is just a stone’s throw away from sketchy neighborhoods. You definitely need a car to get around. The only good thing about this place was the convenience of being attached to the Chase Center; other than that this hotel definitely does not exude the Westin quality I used to love and know.

|0.03km from city centerThe hotel is very new and the view is good. Finally, it feels good. It is rare to experience it for a while.
The room facing the main street will be a bit dazzling at dawn, but the shading of the curtains is still OK. The location is very good.

|3.53km from city centerThe location is very good, there is a small Chinese restaurant nearby. Free parking. There are quite a lot of parking spaces. The room equipment is very new and the sanitation is very good. It is also equipped with kitchen utensils, induction cookers, pots, bowls, etc. Can cook. This is awesome! Shampoos and the like are very useful. There is also a washing machine and dryer on the first floor. very good. The lack of breakfast is not included, the bed is not big, the two sleep just fine, a little smaller than other hotels' beds. It’s too crowded to bring a child.

|0.8km from city centerIt’s very simple, but the milk and bread are still available and can be eaten. Parking is very convenient, with a large parking lot, 16 knives a day. The room is quite large, and laying three large boxes on the ground does not affect your normal indoor walking activities. No extra bed needed, we booked a twin room, a family of three, and they are all big, very loose. Especially the service staff of the hotel is very good and very warm. We arrived at the middle of the night, showed me the booking procedure, let us check in early.

|1.3km from city centerThe Sheraton name used to mean luxury. Not so much anymore now that it is merely one of Marriott's many and frequently indistinguishable brands. Let me say my room -- a suite really -- was huge ad comfortable. But only one, wire-mesh-backed chair to sit in at the work table. Small towels. A bathroom nightlight that was way too bright and could not be turned off. Still. overall, comfortable and with a fridge and a microwave. One you step out of your room, however, things fall apart. One of the elevator's floor display was burned out so you couldn't tell where you were, which was o compounded when it refused to stop on any floor and I was trapped on it for 15 minutes. And when I used the emergency phone, it rang 15 times before someone picked it up and said they only did so ”because they were passing by.” The hotel is, it appears, seriously understaffed. The lobby is a faded reminder of more bustling times. The revolving door is so slow one could die of old age in it. The decor is in need of updating. IT just seems slightly faded and frayed around the edges...

|2.62km from city centerBreakfast is free, simpler bread coffee bar, common breakfast. The room is not big, but the sanitary conditions are OK. Leave 2~3 knives a day for the service staff. If the geographical environment is right, the hotel will turn right and there is a Friday restaurant. It is an American restaurant. The price is also good. If you feel that you can eat it. If you are not satisfied, you can go to the university street to eat Chinese food. There are no facilities nearby. If you need to buy anything, you can go to the main protagonist to buy it.

|7.98km from city centerGreat hotel and location. We were there for only one night and specifically chose this hotel because it had a pool which the kids (ages 3 to 15) really wanted. The hotel was great in all areas except the pool. It was cold and the water was murky. But the breakfast, beds, cleanliness and staff were all great.

|7.96km from city centerWe spent one night at this hotel and I would strongly advise you to check the quality of the mattress before settling in. The mattress should have been replaced; sagging & unsupportive. We only spent one night (6/11) after a wedding (room 238). I had a very nice conversation with the front desk the following morning (after a sleepless night and backaches for us both) he assured me the manager would ”reach out”. Brad, the manager, never responded to calls (or an email Caleb-feont desk sent him). I expected better from Hilton.

|1.03km from city centerI have previously stayed at this hotel numerous times as our son attended the University of Delaware. My husband and I decided to take an overnight getaway. We have been travelling with our dog for the last year or so were pleasantly surprised to see that the hotel was pet friendly. The pros of our stay was our ground level room opened into a yard which was comfortable and perfect for dog working. However, there were several disappointments. When we pulled up to the entrance there was an overflowing trash can and a beer bottle sticking out of a planter. Someone's dirty sock was laying on the ground next to our patio. At 3:45am the fire alarm went off. After much disorganization and confusion it was determined that an element in the elevator shaft had burned out. The next morning this was never addressed or apologized for by management. At checkout, the front desk person was curt and dismissive. I will probably return but feel management should be paying a bit more attention to the details.

|1.1km from city centerWe arrive at the hotel late in the evening around 9:00p after a long day. The check-in staff were cordial. Things seemed ok with the room at first. After waking up in the middle of the night, turned on the light to use the bathroom, and we were greeted by roaches (two in the bathroom and one on the kitchen counter. I immediately called the front desk to tell them, and the desk clerk said the hotel was completely full, so they couldn't move us to another room. They offered a refund, but I said we have no where else to go in the middle of the night. They said come by the desk in the morning, and we will work out the refund/discount at checkout. We reluctantly and uncomfortably stayed, but kept the lights on all night, and barely slept. Very restless night. There was another sighting during the night. Then a baby bug sighted the next morning. Oh, did I mention what appeared to be black mold on the wall above the shower. We got out of there the next morning as soon as possible. When we stopped by the desk to check out, I asked about the refund promised from the night before, but they said the manager was not in and would not be there until the next day, and she would call me back. Of course she didn't call me back, so I had to call them. Then when I spoke to her, she said she didn't know about the refund I discussed with the staff. She said when they went in the room, they didn't see any roaches...so I could not get a refund. I shared that I thought the room quality was not befitting of a Marriott Brand property in cleanliness or customer service (I stay at Marriott hotels all the time). I expressed how disappointed I was, with her customer service, and our hotel stay, but it did not seem to matter. There are many other brands out there to choose from. Don't Stay Here. But if for some reason you have to, keep the lights on, and take photos of any sightings, or they won't believe you.

|8.05km from city centerGood- —Water pressure was good —Plentiful hot water —Bed was comfortable —Renovated room (201) —Heat was fine (heat was controlled by thermostat on wall. A/C is controlled via window unit). —Room was clean —Bath towels were great —Restaurant was in the same parking lot —Good value for what you pay for So-So- —WiFi was Ok but would occasionally either stop or drop to very low bandwidth. —Lobby is still closed - must do all transactions through a small bullet proof glass window. —I only stayed one night, but I got the feeling part of the hotel houses “long term” guests. Bad- —Don’t like the $100 deposit process - what a hassle!

Middletown
|1.45km from city centerThe hotel can't be that old (maybe 5 yrs) and the construction is shotty. We got an ADA compliant room which was fine however it was not s/up for a non-disabled person. No towel rods in the bathroom (you could use the grab bars) and no hook on the back of the door. The tile grout was missing making some tiles loose. The shower head was coming out of the wall. The handrail in the stairwell was coming apart. AND....after our first night the room was made up without replacing our towels which was fine as we hung them up. After the 2nd night and leaving our usual gratuity on the pillow...the GRATUITY WAS GONE, our garbage cans were emptied but nothing else! I reported it to the front desk that apologized and issued us clean towels. She said she would report it to the Housekeeping manager...we heard nothing about it. Debris remained on the floor of the hallway the entire 4 days were there. Overall, disappointing.

|2.75km from city centerGood location, McDonald's nearby, easy to eat, and close to University of Delaware. I heard that there are transportation cars, and it is easy to go. The room is large and is an ensuite. The sofa can also be turned over as a bed. Very suitable for families. The bed was large and comfortable to sleep. Breakfast was good too. Insufficient is the service in general, I once forgot to take bath towels. The equipment is slightly old and the bath water is not great. Shampoo and other supplies are general, it is recommended to bring or buy it yourself.

Newark
|1.19km from city centerIt is what it is, a 2 star hotel. Looks like maybe mostly for business travel, but I have a feeling that if you are traveling for business and need a good nights rest this isn't the spot. I only say that because the first morning when we woke up, I was still in bed, but could hear the conversation couple and kids were having next door. Quite clearly. Also two days in a row, in different rooms there were parties up until well past midnight. Regardless of those things, the hotel itself is fairly nice. Its clean. The staff is very nice, and helpful when we needed anything. This is one of the few times where I got a good nights sleep at a hotel because the bed was comfortable. The two things that were noticed, not really complaints is that the rod in the closet is super low so clothes are basically touching the floor, and it would be nice to have an adjustable shower head. The water pressure was amazing, but sometimes too strong even. Oh and another added bonus for hotels in this day and age. FREE PARKING. In closing, I would stay here again if or when I go back to visit.

|9.78km from city centerNot sure about the rest of hotel, but avoid Room 201 ”Studio Suite” We've stayed here before, but will never stay at this hotel again. On this visit, we experienced the following: - smells like a dead skunk at distance or something soured in room (hits you when you go in room) - loose door handle to bathroom (both screws were almost fallen out, we fixed it) - very poor water pressure on sinks; asked front desk and they said they knew about it - shower handle broken, metal mechanism sticking out, but worked to start shower--seems like it will break off any minute - shower has a strange smell (not sure if coming from drain) - very, very slow draining on main sink (trap/pipe stem probably plugged up) - refrigerator not working, water at bottom of frig, probably mold forming - room not properly cleaned -- found toenail clippings under edge of bed - no lamp for desk - no USB ports anywhere in room - one chair in room, when there is plenty of room for two, if this is a suite type room - cold coffee in food area coffee pot (had to microwave) Good: - pet rates are very good - hair dryer works - beds look clean - microwave worked The smell alone was our main concern and should be for anyone staying in this room. We acclimated to it and just bode our time to get out of this place by morning.

|6.11km from city centerWe stayed at this hotel based on reviews and because of its proximity to UD for graduation weekend. Hotel rates were increased everywhere, so we felt the value wasn't worth it. The location of the hotel is convenient--right off 95 and a few miles to campus. The hotel was clean and fairly comfortable. The rooms were tiny and had a musty feel. The bathrooms were clean, but small. The temperature control wasn't always working well. The breakfast could have used more healthy options, such as Greek yogurt and more seasonal fresh fruit. The breakfast area was clean. The ”fitness center” was a complete joke. The hotel shouldn't advertise it as an amenity. One treadmill, one non-functioning elliptical, and one broken down and dangerous universal do not constitute a fitness center. It is a liability. We've traveled to many hotels that have much better and well-maintained facilities. This hotel is adequate for a one-night stay

|6.75km from city centerWow. For a few dollars more I could have done so much better. You should too. They only service rooms on Tuesday and Thursday according to the obnoxious front desk agent but failed to tell me or anyone else. Horrible hotel. Worse than motel 6. Heck, the motel 6 at least has towels. You can't even get TOWELS at this place. The owners are running a roach motel. Worn out furniture, doors that have to be slammed to lock and clientele that is disruptive and makes noose until 3am coming and going. Can feel every spring in the bed, and oh yeah...save your towels and heaven forbid don't soil your sheets or anything...cause you won't get more. Priceline, and tripadvisor give thus place a WAY WAY WAY WAY TOO HIGH star rating. The motel6 has better standards and at least they're cheap. DON'T EVER STAY HERE. Ever. Oh yeah, the ownership is hiding behind the lame excuse of 'covid' but no longer have any other mask or sanitary protocols in place. It's just owners who are lazy who got used to hiding behind covid to make more money with less people...and it's time to grow up and move on, man up and start running this hotel again. The halls are nasty and smell funny. Lobby is dark and dingy....they just don't care. One day left on my stay, and wish I hadn't booked third party.
