|9.14km from city centerI'm going to give my honest review about Gold Tulip Resort in Dar es Salaam. This should not be a 4 Star Hotel it should be a 2.5 - 3 Star. My husband and I stayed at this location from 02/02/23 - 02/10/23. The driver for the hotel picked my husband and I up from the airport very nice man. I would like to talk about the Pro's and Con's of this place. Con's Finally arriving at our destination I was so confused and disturbed by how unpleasant it looked in the back of the building. The inside of the receptionist lobby was very clean and it smelled amazing. It was nice and cool. Taking the elevator to the 16th floor was extremely hot. They should install an air conditioning system or a fan inside of the elevator because it's very hot an muggy. My husband and I stayed in room 1606. The room was nice and spacious. Several things I did not like about the room. 1. TV was really small and it wasn't directly in the middle where it should've been. 2. No sports station only in the restaurant on the 20th and 21st floor which was super annoying. You're not able to enjoy your stay and watch sports in your room. 3. On February 9th it stormed and my husband and I were asleep. The sound of the thunder and lightening woke me up. I tried going back to sleep but I kept hearing rain drops which sounded as if it the rain was dropping onto the floor. I get up at 3am and check and low and behold the window seal was completely drenched and water was also on the floor. How is this possible??? They need to do some immediate work on their windows because this is extremely dangerous. 4. Bathroom was very unpleasant looking. The toilet was absolutely disgusting. No matter how many times the housekeeper came to clean the inside of the toilet where the water refills was so corded with rust. Everytime we flushed the water was brown. That was disgusting. It really bothers me when I needed to shower water would get all over the floor because there was no door to keep the water inside the shower. The existing glass door that's there water gets underneath it and gets all over the floor. Water temperature takes time to get hot. 5. Air conditioner unit is horrible and they need to replace all of them in each room. For this place to charge so much money they can afford to upgrade the air conditioning unit, TV, TV Stations, Glass door for shower, toilets, etc... 6. My husband and I ate at their restaurant almost everyday. The prices of their breakfast is ridiculous because the food they have for all you can eat wasn't pleasant. To charge what they charge is a bit outrageous. The drinks they have out are NEVER and I mean NEVER iced cold. When you ask them for ice it's always a hassle to get because their machine doesn't always work. It's really hot in the morning and not having an iced cold beverage is annoying. Dinner Menu I got really bored with. First thing I ordered on their menu was Chicken Tom Yom Soup. When I tell you this soup was no where near Tom Yom.soup. It tasted not

|8.53km from city centerIt‘s a fairly new hotel and part of Marriott Bonvoy. I enjoyed to stay there a lot, the staff is very friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet is nice and with various options. The pool has a nice size, however lacking a view. Talking about view, some rooms have nice sea view. Others have pool view but you also see the green landscape which is nice too. The rooms are pretty big, kind of small TV though, but they feel very comfortable and the bed is great too. Also USB and an international power plug at the night stand, which still a lot of other hotels don‘t have. Rooms are cleaned very well. The gym is very basic, only machines for cardio and a few weights. Ate dinner at the restaurant several times and always got good food. There is an area called Slipway just 5 walking minutes away, that also provides great food options and a bit of nightlife.

I was a little surprised, but then the twin bed gave a free upgrade to the double room. Breakfast like hot milk, fried eggs on the spot. There are a few mosquitoes living now, and it’s especially fast to catch. The facilities are a bit historyd, the water is a bit blocked, and there are fewer TV shows. Room cleaning is more timely. The waiter is very good. How is the dinner so slow, but you can read the phone to write a review, it seems that this is the rhythm, the surrounding streets are neat and feel safer. The mosque outside the window broadcasts several times a day. At five o'clock, someone will be woken up. Fortunately, I can't hear it.

|9.24km from city centerEverything else is good, the location is invincible, in front of you is the beautiful view of the port! The facilities are relatively new and easy to enter and exit. Especially the pork ribs on the 8th floor are the best ever!
There is a problem with the bathroom service. I asked for a toothbrush 3 times before giving it, and I only gave one if I asked for two!
The bath towels were gone after the first day of use!
Disposable slippers are also used for the first time and will not be replaced with new ones! One time becomes permanent!
Another disadvantage is that the wifi speed is too slow, and the blue clock displayed under the TV is too dazzling.

The only thing I didn't like about Kijiji beach resort swimming pools is the number of people was too high to an extent making it very hard to relax while swimming, but it might be because we went during the holiday

|7.99km from city centerI have been traveling to this beautiful city of Dar es Salam for the past 20 years and have stayed at almost all the hotels and hotel/apartments that rate from 3* to 5*. I have to be honest that many have impressed me and some disappointed me and I could say some have surprised me, but I still had to find one that was 100% on point until I landed at Aura Suites. This place is in a wonderful location of the city, it is central and it can serve business people single or in groups, it could play host to families on short stays or those in transit and would also be ideal for groups of tourists. I happens to pick a one bedroom suite, what I got was jaw dropping and for a very very affordable rate inclusive of breakfast. I had what they call a mini kitchen but to me was a kitchen for a good 2 bedroom apartment anywhere in the world, I got a living room with beautiful furniture and a massive television, a dining room, a guest cloak room, a laundry room and the bedroom was actually even more than my expectation this is a huge en-suite room with a massive TV, closet, and safe box. The furniture and fixtures are all top notch and of high quality. The showers are rain showers with enough water pressure and hot water is always available. They have a roof top bar and restaurant on the 16th floor that gives you an amazing view of the skyline of Dar es salaam, the food was amazing and they have every kind of drink at their bar and all at very competitive reasonable prices. The entire building is immensely neat and clean it may remind you of a military hospital in terms of the precision and attention to detail when it comes to cleanliness and well maintained. Last but not least the staff are friendly, and educated with knowledge of what they are serving in drink or food which at times can be a challenge even in the top 5* hotels in Dar. I was amazed that the top management and managers of the hotel are consistently moving around the place and checking on the services, as I assumed these maybe businessman who are guests but very professional well dressed men would approach me and always ask if I am ok and how was my meal and my breakfast and or if I slept well. All in all they have me as their regular customer and I recommend anybody intending to visit Dar to stay at Aura suites

Generally we both loved and enjoyed everything especially on how we were treated with the staffs. Conference rooms were well arranged and organized. Very nice and heavy breakfast with varieties of foods 😋. The Beach is so clean, ooh waow I missed the sunset, Rooms are proper arranged and cleand as well. Big up to Girrafe Hotel. The pool is too big to enjoy. You guys are amazing 😍. I'm planning to come back with my husband this October for my birthday, I would love to have a very sweet room which is an ocean view. |8.61km from city centerThe transit hotel is good, the taxi driver charges me 5USD from airport to hotel, its acceptable for the first time, but after living in Tanzania for a month, 5USD is really a lot.
Staff are nice and friendly, but there is electricity cut off that day.
The only thing is the location is bad, the surrounding is dangerous. People nearby will shout, come near you when seeing you are tourist.
That why I live only for 3 hours instead of the whole night. I prefer staying at the airport during interchange flight.

The room was ideal with a good shower and air conditioning. The included breakfast was also excellent with friendly staff and great choice of local foods. We had a late flight change and were offered a late check out and an easy reorganisation of our airport transfer. We recommend this Hotel and after visiting over 100 countries feel it is up there with the best.
