Oakwood Premier AMTD Singapore was the place i proposed to my wife and we selected this place for our wedding anniversary staycation as well because they have good service, facilities is clean and tidy. Really love the concept of the toilet. When we check in, the friendly staff know that we are there for our wedding anniversary, she send up a cake to surprise us as well. All the staff were really friendly and always greeting us with smile. Unfortunately i didn't take a photo of the place.

We just loved the boutique and high class feel of the hostel whilst it also maintained that communal feel which we love too. The rooms were really comfortable and the mattresses perfect for us. The pods had great curtains which blocked out light and added privacy whilst staying in a shared room. Also loved the touches like two sets of lights one brighter and one a bit dimmer as well as the plug and slippers too. Location was ideal for exploring the city being a short walk from public transport, varied places to eat, a 7/11 below and not far to walk to the marina too.

Duration of stay : 2D1N Price : Around 290 SGD (w/o breakfast) via this app *** was upgraded by hotel since I payed for So Urban Room but they were informed I booked the So Cozy Room Location : near Lau Pa Sat (if you prefer to dine-out); need to note that pick-up or drop-off area is at Boon Tat * Pre-arrival : no email is sent by hotel (compared to Sofitel City) * Registration : friendly staff; my room registration took some time because of a miscomm in my room type. I paid for So Urban (with bathtub) but my stay was confirmed for So Cosy only (no bathtub). At the end, my room was upgraded. * Room (not sure if I was upgraded to Studio or Loft): very spacious; have several outlets for charging; have separate office space and seating area; includes care pack (mask, sanitizer, etc); very comfy bed; lights and tv are controlled by an ipad - which is very convenient! * Bathroom : so big!!!! there is separate area for shower room, toilet and bathtub; the bathtub is the biggest I’ve seen among all hotels I stayed so far; there are his & hers amenities which include sewing kit, hair ties and hair clip (which is not very usual - in my experience… another luxury hotel I stayed in provided the hair tie/band but no hair clip) * In-room dining : limited selection; although I tried their club sandwich which is delicious! * Facilities : Cannot book online. Have to call the reception area. There is no sort of “control” upon entering the pool and gym area as it doesn’t need a separate key card (like their sister hotel, Sofitel City Centre) Although there are free movies as part of entertainment, a point for improvement I can think of is to allow screen mirroring or enabling TV internet so guests can use their own chromecasts if they want. Some hotels I’ve been to have this feature already. Cleanliness is rated as such because I found the curtain in the bathroom quite dirty. It is understandable that curtains are not replaced everyday so I just gave feedback to the hotel during my check-out so they can make sure it is cleaned before the next guest. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed my “me time” in this hotel and I will definitely will be back for a longer period.

I went for solo staycation as I had been wanting to go but sadly they closed to assist government's support in covid-19 housing of SHN individuals hence my staycation was cancelled. Glad that they open and went for a night solo staycation. What attracted me is their big room and big bathtub beside the window, and smaller infinity pool hence I look forward to staying here. I would say the location is abit far off from the attractions and hence quieter, especially during weekends. The food garden at Asia Square Tower 1 & 2 opens only on weekdays for working staff. Hence, if you are staying on weekends, u will need to walk about 5 minutes to Lau Pa Sat for meal or walk to MBS which takes about 15 minutes. Otherwise, you will need to take a train to elsewhere for meal. Marina Bay Link Mall has Subway and Toast Box opening on weekends though. There are 2 restaurants open on weekends at Asia Square Tower 2 ground level but not much variety. The hotel room is big enough, clean and I love the bathtub beside the window. Not many hotels come with bathtub that is beside the window and the view is great. Basic necessities are there, just that there is no comb. I'm quite surprised many 5-star hotels do not provide comb. I would think this is probably something for hotels to look into. They do provide a travel plug in case u have forgotten to bring. They also provide essential oil so that u can rub on to have a gd slp and wet wipe (1pc per night) for safe stay. I like the swimming pool which is an infinity pool. It was quiet when I went which is great and not crowded. There is also free whirlpool and steam room at their spa. The gym is really perfect with all main equipments there. They look new and not wear off. Maintenance is great! I have never gone to their restaurants but do note that they have happy hour for affordable draft beers. Visit their website to find out more. I would stay again probably during weekdays so that I can easy access to more food. Especially at night on weekends, it might be quieter for ladies who are on solo staycation. Hope my review helps. :)

This hotel is located in a good location - around CBD, above the train station and have many food around. Room is really spacious and luxurious, I would say. Well maintained with a BOSS speaker and Nesspresso machine. There’s a bathtub, separate shower and toilet area. Really great! However the tv seems to have some issues and fridge is not on. Other facilities like pool and gym are relatively small. There’s little or no service provided by the hotel. Checked in on birthday date, gotten your ic but no greetings at all. Needed help, so called housekeeping but no one picked up. Called front desk who said she will get someone to come over but no one came. Have to call again for help and the person who came provided a not 4 star hotel service - Somemore told me I will be having my laundry delivered in a while when I did not send anything for laundry. When I told her so, she simply said I have mistaken your room number and left. No apology. Lastly, requested for late check out, flat rejection. Disappointed with the stay for birthday staycation. Just pleased with the room.

This is a great little boutique hotel in the heart of Ann Siang Hill. The service was phenomenal - the entire staff was super friendly, and it was easy to chat with them via WhatsApp when I was out and about in the city and had questions. I liked my room - I would recommend getting a larger one, as the standard ones are quite small. I really appreciated the use of refillable dispensers for soap, shampoo, etc. - all hotels should do away with sample-size containers and move to these more eco-friendly options instead. Although my room was directly on the street, it wasn’t super loud. The location fantastic - tons of restaurants and bars are literally on the same street just downstairs, and Amoy Food Center and Amoy food street are a 5 minute walk away. My only caveats are that the front desk isn’t staffed 24 hours, so if you need to leave your luggage, you will have to claim it by 8 PM. Aside from that, I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in a great part of Singapore.

Great location with food all around - Maxwell hawker centre in front, Tanjong Pagar Korean eateries beyond that, Chinatown on the right, Amoy food centre on the left. The room was comfortable with attached toilet, adjustable aircon temperature, and it was quite brightly lit. Toiletries were provided including shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, toothbrush & toothpaste, shower cap, shaving kit, bedroom slippers, bathrobe, hair dryer. Just bring your own comb and facial toiletries. Mini bar was free and restocked daily with canned soft drinks, Tiger Beer and mineral water. I would stay again if the price drops. It is quite pricey. No parking available but it’s easy to get to, midway between 3 MRT stations - Tg Pagar, Chinatown and Telok Ayer. Maxwell MRT is under construction down the road, but there was no noise or dust.

I think my luck ran out and i got one of the worst room in the hotel. Guest rooms start from level 4 and my room was at level 4 - 0402. It was also slightly smaller than other rooms. There was no rain shower. Just bathtub. So the bathroom floor was slightly wet after each shower, which meant it was slippery when i walked around wearing bedroom slippers. Couldnt change room as deluxe rooms were fully booked for the weekend The average Bed and pillow Staff service Breakfast (buffet) The good Bay window! Can put things there Bed is king size The bad Room tv (not alot of channels and no mirroring) And as mentioned above There are many better hotels so do check them out!

I first stayed at the SEA Hotel back in 2014 as it was recommended by my aunt and uncle who always stay here when in Singapore. I love the place. It’s old and rustic (a throwback to another time) but for $100 SGD a night with a fabulous vegetarian buffet breakfast included (Kwan Im restaurant) and prime location in Bugis you couldn’t ask for anything more. Also when booking the staff are excellent in replying to queries and give very detailed information about getting to the hotel and airport transport options and nearby attractions. Free wifi was included and it was fast and reliable. The staff on the front desk were friendly especially the girl who checked me in. Bugis+ shopping mall (10 levels with cinemas, food/retail options galore and taxi rank) is less than 5 mins walk. I use this as a taxi pick up/drop off point to various attractions from the hotel. Bugis MRT Station is 5-10 mins walk and is on the airport line (10th station from the airport, with 1 change at Tanah Merah, cost only SGD 2.50) The Kwan Im Temple is right next door and worth checking out (it gets very busy with local worshippers). Directly outside is a pedestrian mall with a flurry of activity with market stalls and street vendors. The hotel is simple and rooms unadorned with only the basics but it’s all there and excellent value for money. They do request you leave your key if you go out and recollect (24 hour reception) but I conveniently forgot to do this most of the time and it was never a problem. Oh and don’t even think about bringing durians to the hotel!

I arrived at Hotel about 03:35 AM. It was the time that all the people are sleeping. I was a little bit confused about my check-in because when I arrived at the counter he didn't ask me about my check in information. He just only asked me that I was paid or not and I said I've paid already then he showed me my room without asking to show my passport or check in information. Did he know me that I'm the girl who booked at 19th and arrived at 20th?? Maybe!!!🧐🧐 Never mind! The room is very fantastic and comfortable. I felt like I was in an spaceship🚀😅🥰. Since I was travel alone in Singapore I was afraid of sleeping at room alone. But the hotel is very safe .I really loved this place and next time when I come to Singapore, I promised that I'll book this hotel again ❤❤❤❤❤

End up they ask us to collect at their hotel concierge counter , but did not customised for us even though we upgraded to the signature king suite !

We were a group of 12 and opted to stay in this hostel booking the whole 12 beds room, which we were very glad to have as it was the room at the top floor of the hostel, meaning the less noisy and more isolated one from the rest of the chaos. Let's start with the room: we had bunk beds with everything you may need: sheets, pillows, curtains to close them at night (great stuff for privacy this!) and personal lockers (you need to bring your own padlock). In the 12 beds room there was a private bathroom too with 2 toilets and a shower, which was very handy as it gave us some privacy. There are also more showers and toilets in the other floors that we could use. Breakfast was provided in a weird way: the first night we arrived we noticed a big plastic box in the room. The surprise was they have left us ”the breakfast” for the following 2 days in there, which consisted of bread, jam, tea and coffee. Not what we expected, but it did the job. And now let's move to the worse bit of the hostel: the common areas. There is way too much people hosted in the hostel for the size of the common living space they have. The kitchen is tiny, and there is a sofa at the entrance that is always busy and with lots of people sleeping on it, so you can't really use it. The people staying in the common areas (not sure if they were guests of the hostel or not) was a bit peculiar, so we were glad to have our own space. The front desk is not very friendly but the check-in and out was smooth and easy (beware check-in is not allowed before 3pm). Overall it's a very basic hostel but the location is good.

Location is good for no lack of food. Near coffee shops, hawker centres and shopping mall(bugis). Have many selection and varieties of local food. Amenities not so fantastic. Bare minimum and there is no in-house slippers. Only have body towels.Shower area is very small, enough to house a 70 kg adult COMFORTABLY. Air con control is of the old type, non digital. 4 pillows and quite comfy plus mattress is quite firm. Only minus point is that side table is quite far from the bed on one side. The mini sofa is not for lying. Awkward shape (see photo with bag). Though many TV channels, very old shows like Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones and the Net by Sandra bullock. has Chinese language channels and local ones HDB blocks are very close by so need to draw curtains for more privacy. No water heater as hot water is from roof top tank. Have to wait for hot water to come on after switching on like 5 minutes. Reception staff was very polite and chirpy when we checked in. Staff name is Xiao Xuan and she gave us extra room cards when we requested. Didnt spend too long at the counter as she was efficient. Great service!

Finally checked off this pricey but lovely staycay spot ❤️ To be honest, the $700/night range made me expect a lot and I’m really glad that my experience (kind of) justified the hole in my wallet 🥹 The room was fair sized at 39SqM but super classy and quaint, with fancy copper finishings running throughout the space. Very like! 🎉 Though … I wished there was more countertop space and a chilling spot enough for 2pax. 👻 The Living Room provided a very nice respite from the relentless heat and all day refreshments worked as a lunch replacement even though it was just salted nuts for me ☀️ Evening cocktails stole the show with quality bites, fancy tea-based cocktails, and great service. We waddled out definitely heavier but confirm happier 🥂 Super happy that we experienced the same great service as my previous Far East Hospitality stays - Farez and Hafiz were stellar and part of the reason why I’m so smitten by this stay 🎖

As an Ascott group member, there are decent expectations of an Ascott experience in all the properties in which I had once stayed (Ascott, Somerset, Citadines). Citadines Rocher (recently opened in 2020) was one of my top choices in having a local staycation because of its location and price range. However, it was an overall disappointing experience, and here’s why: 1. No daily housekeeping service 2. Our bathroom door could not close. It was completely off the ledge. 3. Reception is busy all the time. Phone calls are often not answered 4. This hotel was most probably a designated hotel used for both Malaysian citizens who were unable to return home due to locked borders, as well as returning Singaporeans to serve their mandatory 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN). There were confirmed COVID-19 cases within my period of stay. We were notified by a letter from the management. The least the management could do was to provide a mask or sanitizers to guests. We also chanced upon 2 medical workers fully donned in PPE escorted a guest to the ambulance. Scary stuff. 5. We took our own trash out of the room since day 1 of check-in. It was not cleared even upon checking out. Dear Citadines Rocher, please review your services. I had absolute faith and would like to continue giving my support to Ascott despite this awful stay.

My wife and I have stayed in quite a number of hotels in Singapore before for staycations. For this: 1) In-Room Facilities. - When I was about to sit on the WC, i expected to be greeted by warmth. But it was not so. Guess i was pampered by The Clan Hotel's heated toilet seat. This is just a nice to have kind of facility and not a deal breaker. - Aircon. When turned on, it was too cold so we turned it off. The good thing is even though it's off, we could still feel the air is cold and as if there is still a breeze throughout the night. I notice some hotels are like that which i think is good to prevent molds. So this is a plus. - Bathroom mirrors. I love the magnifying mirror. For the wall mirror, it gets misty easily after a shower and some time after. So after showing, i can't do a shave since i can't see myself in the mirror. If the hotel had a switch to warm up those mirrors, it would be a good improvement. - Bottles for showering. When i first used the sink, i looked for the soap. I didn't find any but saw 2 bottles at the sink. They looked the same and just decided to use one to wash my hands. When it was time to shower, there were 3 big bottles in affixed to the wall. Honestly, i couldn't tell the difference after looking at the front and backs. I wanted to know which one was shampoo and which i could use for my face. In the end, i showered that day not knowing which was which. The next morning, i showered again, picking a random bottle to use. I told my wife that and she said it's labelled differently. I went to look again and indeed everything is the same except the small difference of words. I can't believe it. If it would have been more obvious it would save time and frustration. - Light. We notice there's only 1 main switch for all lights, excluding the 2 bed-side lamps and bathroom. The good for us is it's easy. We don't have to deal with multiple switches. The bad part is 2 of the downlights which were too bright, we couldn't simply turn them off while keeping the rest on. On our bed facing the TV, there was the downlight near the entrance and the downlight near the window which were too bright. In the end we turned the main switch off and just used the bedside lamp to watch TV. We could deal with it as mentioned. I checked that the room uses compact fluorescent lighting which is fine. (although i felt the downlights mentioned in those areas and the bathroom were a little too strong) I'd like to warn the hotel NOT to consider using LEDs in future as it would be much worse. This is because LEDs do not have proper diffusers, deflectors or cove to protect the light from reaching the eyes. Also, LEDs tend to be too intense most of the time when used as room lighting. - Bed. The king size bed was very good in terms of sleeping. The only bad thing was when i was propped up watching TV. I already had 2 pillows behind me but the incline was still not gradual enough so my neck didn't feel comfortable. I had to adjust by sitting up higher in order to feel fine. This can be fixed if the bed headboard had an incline or similar. - TV. It was quite frustrating switching channels. Pressing ”Up” didn't mean you could cover all the channels. We had to press the main menu to go back to the channel list and select from there each time. The hotel should consider fixing this as high priority so that using the TV is much smoother. - As this is a very old hotel, before booking, we had read some reviews saying even though there was a renovation early 2022, there were still some defects. Thankfully, we didn't see any defects. Our room was 1007 (10 floor). 2) Service. Sales staff greeted us genuinely when we checked in. When the same staff us coming into the lift, she also greeted us. When we left the breakfast area, another male staff thanked and bowed to us for coming while he was talking to his colleagues. All this enhanced our experience in the hotel. 3) Window View. Only could see opposite building.

Booked this hotel for the outdoor Jacuzzi for our anniversary celebration. Overall a great experience but slightly lacking in the basic amenities/service (no complimentary water and reception was not responsive). The room is extremely small in comparison to the photos but that is my own fault for not reading the reviews beforehand to manage my own expectations. Took us awhile to figure out how to operate the Jacuzzi but it was an enjoyable experience. Something to note is that the hotel will not entertain early check in and check out requests as they are fully booked during this period. The four of us stayed here on our visit to singapore. The front desk lady charged or room deposit instead of merely taking a credit card number to charge later in case of damages (this was against policy I discovered later). We stayed in a room with a queen bed and two bunk beds, ensuite bathroom, plus a small balcony. The room was clean and comfortable - all features functioned properly. The location is far from the main areas of the city and on the other side of singapore from the airport. A subway station is about 10-15 minutes walk away. A bus stop is directly in front of the guesthouse. It's a solid 30 minute trip away from little india or little china. Being a hostel we had concerns about noise at night but were not bothered by any. We did not utilize the breakfast option but did eat at the restaurant across the street and found it acceptable. On checkout I found that they could not refund the deposit. After working with the manager over the next several days she refunded the deposit to me via paypal instead of a credit to my original card. That was not desirable at all, but was the best she said she could do. On the whole this was a nice stay, I only advise you to be cautious about your room deposit.

Geylang
Very small but cosy hotel located in geylang. Plenty of eateries around the hotel. A nightlife worth exploring. Accessible to buses and two MRT stations - kallang and aljunied MRT. Even though the hotel is run down, the basic amenities are provided. The cheapest budget hotel we have been so far.

Little India
This is my first time at this hotel and DEFINITELY WILL COMEBACK!The check in was a lil bit slow but smooth.I would like to feedback on maybe the staff at the check in counter should put a lil bit more smily face than a tight face. They look so stress up but they were polite.I didnt feel the welcomeness to their hotel when doing the checkin but all other staff were very polite and never miss to greet the guests esp the cleaner.I will like to shoutout to that malay guy with tattoos who i guess is the BELL HOP.He is VERY HELPFUL and GEM to help the hotel guests eventho he is off duty.He is the only person I see at the lobby who never stop smiling and greet customer. Its a must to stay here. The pool is great, amenities around is convenient.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍I really like it & enjoy my stay here.

Orchard Road
Stayed there for a night fully paid using cash (not using singapore rediscover voucher) the boutique hotel is located just behind LKY Oxley home. Walking distance was 10 mins away from Orchard Central. The room is spacious and the toilet is clean. The hotel provides toiletries and we had our breakfast using the hotel voucher at Artisan Boulangerie Co located at Killiney Road which is 3 mins Walking distance with a choice of pastry and offered a top up of drink to large size at $1.05. The hotel is only a 2 storey property. Front desk staff was polite except that they were rushing through telling us the T&C and house rules of the hotel and there was a $100 deposit charged to my credit card which may take some time for the refund. Sound proof isn't that good as we keep hearing sounds of slamming door whenever someone opens their room door. Unfortunately the neighbour beside my room keeps singing like a crow and as the outerside of the showing area is partially enclosed, so we can hear it loud and clear in our room. Didn't get to use the pool due to the location as it is just right underneath the walkway to the lobby. There is no privacy as whoever enter or exit the hotel is able to just look down and that is where the pool is. Although it is clean and spacious but given the location and the condition of the hotel not being sound proof, I will not patronise again.

Lavender
When I arrive , check in counter had no guests but had 4-5 staff at the counter. They were chatting among themselves so I just went to a random one that finally made eye contact. During check in it was fine, except he didn’t really tell me anything like check out time, which lobby to use and was rather dismissive? Just gave me the keys say ok 😂 The room was dusty and the floor was a bit sticky if you walk barefooted. There’s no toilet paper but got tissue paper. Fridge was not cleared out from previous guests so I didn’t use it. Walls are really thin and I could hear the cleaners(?) talking super loudly amongst themselves and I could hear the tv from the room opp ? Pretty sure I didn’t get the free upgrade room either but I didn’t ask cos I wasn’t sure what’s the difference at this point. Check out is only thru the counter and had to queue which is fine but when a family came in and cut queue the counter just went with it? If there’s a quick check out box somewhere please enlighten me. Cos the previous time I was there the counter said there isn’t . I know this sounds like petty stuff but the last time I was there it wasn’t like this
