We stayed June 2021, and the experience was great. Staff were friendly and helpful, kudos to Yani. The room was neat, clean, well appointed for what we wanted. Awesome bed, super king! Heat pump provided a comfortable environment. Shower is brilliant with lots of pressure which I loved. The view is nothing special as you look out over a car park and commercial buildings, but you do get to see the foothills. Car parking available which is handy. Kitchenette was adequate for general use, no actual cooking appliances. Easy walking distance to shopping including Richmond Mall. Not too noisy apart from Friday night hoons! All in all highly recommended.

First impression is that its too close to busy road and too far from everything. However its about 5 minutes from the Richmond shopping centre, 10 minutes to Tahunanui beach and another 10 minutes to the centre of town. They are also well sound proofed, so little, if any, traffic noise. We had a unit with a seperate bed room. It was one of the nicest, roomiest motel we have had. It was bright and airy. It looked recently renovated. There was a microwave and modern range top. Excellent selection of cooking utensils. Really nice pool. Usable in March! Extra towels for swimming replaced each day. Comfortable bed and you can shut all the light at night. Service was top rate. The propieters friendly and helpful.

The team at saxton went above and beyond to help us when stranded in Nelson due to having to isolate and having nowhere else to go. They were super supportive and personally checked in on us to make sure we were ok and had everything we needed. The room and facilities were clean, tidy and well appointed. I would absolutely recommend

We were booked into pear orchard lodge after our camper van broke down Timo and his wife could not have done more for us the room was clean comfortable. The facilities were spotless The gave the run of the kitchen. I really wanted to give this place a 4 star, but the location of a wedding party opposite my room and the surprising lack of breakfast ( just a box of weetabix and some cookies) made it a little disappointing for me….. That’s a shame as the hotel/pub is a nice place., tranquil (when there is no wedding), a few meters from a great walking path along the coast towards Nelson or Richmond and with a fine pub with good food all on site. The staff are friendly, rooms are clean (if starting to look a little tired) and have most things you could need, even a spa bath! If I was here again however I would investigate the newer and better looking hotel over the road…..

Two couples travelling together and we spent two nights at the Boutique Hotel. Very friendly and helpful welcome and departure - nice people who care about business. Everything was perfect and we would be happy to stay here again. An added bonus was each of us receiving a quality free espresso/latte at a nearby cafe which apparently is within the same ownership.

Great location, friendly management, good value for money. The motel is modern and very tidy. Hotel standard sheets, comfortable beds and a very nice garden area. Very accomodating to our family. Highly recommend if you’re after something close to the airport.
