We stayed at this lovely hotel for a long extended weekend early November to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. The staff are all hands on eager to please. Top quality toiletries, towels. Comfy bed, mattress and pillows. Thorough cleaning twice a day. The reception desk staff were all attentive, responsive, professional, eager to please. On our first night we had dinner at the rooftop. It was a lovely atmosphere, full of local clienteles. Breathtaking view of a well lit Acropolis. The quality of the dinner was very good, however, we had more creative, tastier food outside. The concierge service was also impeccable. All their recommendations were top notch up to scratch. They sent us to the best eateries in Athens and organised a very good local hairdresser to attend to my hair prior to the imminent lockdown. Despite the sudden government’s COVID-19 lockdown the hotel did not cease to serve its residents regular meals. The rooftop restaurant carried on serving food till the last day of our stay...maintaining a good service but with limited choices and options...nevertheless, that was very nice of them to keep us fed and looked after. Highly recommended facility. Will definitely return! I bet it would be a wonderful place to stay under normal Covid-19 free circumstances

The King George has a lot going for it: a great location in a very busy and touristy part of town, very kind and friendly staff, and a solid restaurant - if it is insanely over-priced. Beyond that, this property is severely lacking and should be renovated or removed from the Luxury Collection. You are far better off at a more moderately priced property or a newer one that truly does offer luxury. The value simply is not here and the property fails to deliver on expectations. I had booked two stays last month and used a few of my Suite Night Rewards from Marriott to ensure a nice room. Both experiences were major disappointments. In short, if slapping some marble in the bathroom and hanging a chandelier in the room constitute luxury to you then look no further. The first room setup was odd in that you went through the rather small bedroom area to reach the sitting room. Not such a big deal until we ordered room service and all kinds of re-shuffling of suitcases and re-arranging of furniture ensued. A pain in the neck for a few minutes, but not a major problem... at least until things started adding up. The food from room service arrived luke-warm and simply was not good (40 Euros for a burger should have included at least some seasoning in the meat). The toilet was mounted at least 3 inches too high - I'm 5' 11" and my toes just made contact with the floor when I sat down. The bath and shower were separate and while the tub was quite nice, it was dimly lit there was not much room to dry off in. The shower took 10-15 minutes to reach temperature, the stall was very small, there were no grab rails, the floor was slick, and there was nothing special about the shower head. The room advertised a king bed, but it was in fact a queen. The sofa sagged worse than the one I had in college. The desk is minute and the chair not conducive to any sort of work, so don't plan on a working vacation here. The hardwood floors in the room were quite worn in many places, the paint dirty along the lower portions of every wall, and the single window in the suite opened onto a concrete courtyard with an air conditioner base which ran constantly. The second suite wasn't much better. The layout was reasonable - entry into a small foyer, the bedroom to the right and sitting area to the left. But again, it needed maintenance in a big way - the wall in the sitting area had split plaster with major water stains, the wall paper in the bath was peeling, the floor was worn. The tub/shower combination was poor - hand-held shower in a tub that did not drain well. Again, a queen size bed when we were expecting a king. As with the first room, don't plan on getting any work done - the desk is miserable. We were also a bit troubled by housekeeping staff who would knock as they were entering the room. Once is understandable, but every time for servicing the mini-bar, turn down service, cleaning the room, etc was annoying and rude - please give time to answer the door (and

There are good and bad, overall is still very good, will come back to consider. ✔️ OK: 1. Good people and good service. My English is not a second foreign language (Greek is not spoken at all), but both the hotel front desk, restaurant waiter and room service auntie are particularly friendly: it will be at eleven o'clock, and early check-in will be available if there is room available; As soon as breakfast is set up, there will be a restaurant waiter who will ask for coffee (tea) and then bring a small pot of coffee and milk; I stayed clean the next day and did not use cleaning. If you do n’t clean it, you do n’t need to make up your toiletries. 2. The toiletries provided by the hotel are good. Flagship stores checked, much more expensive than supermarkets such as Pantene. (Slippers, towels, and bath towels are provided but toothbrushes and toothpaste are not provided, and a city tax of 4 Euro / night will be charged when checking out). 3. The geographical location is extremely convenient and safe. Restaurant Street Woman Street Handicraft Street Famous Street McDonald's KFC Starbucks airport bus sightseeing trains are all around the fountain plaza downstairs. Watch the soldiers change to climb Wolf Mountain to the Acropolis and walk directly. 4. The meal is good and delicious. Breakfast buffet, Greek food. There are no vegetables, but yogurt (must eat, same cream), cheese (super variety), fruit (very fresh, four or five oranges, cut out the middle pieces), meat sausages, dried fruit (not domestically processed It's a kind of preserved fruit, it's original), bread and snacks are delicious. There are several types of milk juice, but I only drink coffee. 5. There is a bathtub. I am used to going out with a disposable bathtub cover. I have a bathtub surprise. I feel very good after taking a bath after 11 hours of flight. ✖️ Not good: 1. There is no chain lock in the single room. Before I asked you from Ctrip, some people said that there was, too much, there was no chain lock! No chains! No chains! Sleeping is super insecure, and I regret not having a door stopper. 2. The bolt is not strong. No bedside. I used a hot water bottle plug on the coffee table. It was extremely inconvenient to blow my hair.

I was absolutely gobsmacked by the quality of this accomodation. It is honestly one of the best city accomodations I've ever stayed at. It was large, light, hip, spotless, fully equiped and very centrally located. The apartments are close to Syntagma Square, which houses the Old Royal Palace and (maybe more importantly travel-wise) the busstop that has a direct link to the airport. It is only a 5 minute walk to the foot of the Acropolis, the national gardens and the shopping street of Ermou. The actual apartments are located in a flat, on the 8th/10th (?) story, giving you some views of the city, depending on which room you're in. We were staying in the yellow room. This contained a fully equiped kitchen (Microwave, fridge, stove, dishes, cutlery, pans, coffee maker, and the likes) We hardly used it, except for coffees and teas, but I think you'd be able to make a full meal here. Next to the kitchen, there was a little dining room area. On the table there were some leaflets off this to do, see and eat in the area. The central living area also contained an open wardrobe and a chill area with a couch, armchair and tv. The seperate bathroom contained a gorgeous sink, a large rain shower and, surprisingly some amazing lighting, haha. It also displayed some toiletries to use and came with towels. The seperate bedroom consisted of a large bed and some bedside tables. The bed was extremely confortable. And just like in the livingroom, the bedroom had some large windows, giving it a very light and open feel. A ton of thought and effort had obviously been put in to the construction and the decoration of the room. Good materials had been used and everything looked well maintained. So much so, that my brother (who had stayed here in a year prior) said absolutely nothing had changed and it still looked as new and clean as it did when he first stayed here. Aside from the apartment, there was also a shared balcony, although we weren't sure how to enter this. Also, the day we had to leave, we were able to use luggage lockers to store our belongings in so that we could still enjoy the morning in the city before heading home. So, everthing was thought and taken care of! Except for one minor thing; upon arrival (in the middle of the night) we hadn't received any instructions as to how to actually enter the building. We had to contact the owner, which, considering the hour obviously took some time. After a while we received the code and were able to get in. We felt bad for having to wake the owner up, but happy to be able to fix this problem withing a reasonable amount of time. Once you have received the code (preferably before arrival via the booking app or e-mail), check in is quick and easy. There is a form in the room to sign and that's it! Price wise, I thought it was very affordable. I think we only paid around 180-200 euros. This for a large apartment for two for three nights. An absolute bargain in my opinion! All in all I truel

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights!! The hotel and new a modern!! The rooms are very nice and clean! I had a room with a big balcony which was very nice on the 1 st floor!! It was very nice that they had free water and coffee and soft drinks every day in the mini bar, what was also very nice was my husband was late for breakfast and they asked him to make him some eggs or what ever he wanted!! The service was fantastic the breakfast was good!! They also have the best pancakes ever you need to order them they are not in the free breakfast!! The hotel is also located in Kolonaki very nice and safe area and is a 5 minute walk from Ermou!!! Will definitely be back! The only thing to improve this hotel would be sound proof windows it was a little noise during the day! At night it was very fine!!!

If you want to be right in the heart of the Plaka, this is a decent hotel. The woman who gave us our keys, and let us store our luggage in her office before check-in, was very friendly and helpful. We had a 'business suite' which included a living room and office area, in addition to the bedroom and bathroom: so it was really very spacious apartment (except it lacked a kitchen). It was very clean. It's easy to walk out to restaurants and shopping, yet it's located on a quiet side street. The main downside to this hotel was the super-hard bed which, upon inspection, appeared to be little more than a box spring with a mattress pad. This was the first place I stayed in Greece and I was prepared to give this hotel a poor rating based on the bed. But after staying in 4 other places (including 4/5 star hotels) and having 3 other beds that were as hard, I concluded super-firm beds are a Greek thing (I've never found beds in USA/other European hotels too hard). Perhaps people younger than 50 would find GK's beds sleep-able/comfortable...older folks, you're warned. The other draw-back was lots of windows but no view. Every window (all attractively shuttered/curtained from the inside) looked over a ventilation shaft or small (unattractive) courtyard. But I liked that fresh air was available (though opening the windows lets in noise like nighttime garbage pick-up). This hotel was clean, spacious, centrally located, with friendly staff: thus a good review despite the bed.

The hotel is very close to the city centre and this is the bright side if you choose it. The room is big (the bathroom on the contrary quite small), clean enough. The forniture is old and requires mantainance. The bed is unconfortable (you feel each single spring). Curtains are not enough to have darkness in the morning. In conclusion: a good choice if you want to save money, but not a hotel you will remember.

There is not enough space and words to describe what an amazing hotel and amazing staff this is. When we stay in Athens my family and I always stay at Electra. Sure, there are many nice hotels in Athens but it's the wonderful staff that keeps bringing us back. Their hospitality and professionalism is superior compared to other hotels. Electra hotel is in a very convenient location. It is within walking distance to the Acropolis, Monasteraki, Plaka, restaurants , and museums. The hotel is extremely clean and they have an excellent roof top restaurant called " XFLOOR" with an amazing view of the Acropolis. The food is very high quality and the service is very friendly . Our most recent stay in Athens was difficult because our flights were cancelled and we had to stay an additional 3 weeks . The reception staff and management knew that this would be a huge financial burden on me . Without me even asking they helped me out tremendously by offering me a very big discounted rate for our additional 3 weeks of stay in Athens !! Joseph at reception made this possible..... thank you very much Joseph !! Maria at reception was also a tremendous help to my wife and I . She helped us out with everything we needed . I also want to thank Christos, Theodoros, Aggeliki, and Christina from the reception..... they all were awesome !! A special thanks to both Panos from the XFLOOR, excellent hospitality and we appreciate the extra mile they went to accommodate us . I would also like to thank Panagiotis and Giorgos . A special thanks to Vasilis at Terra cafe, outstanding personality and great service !! Finally I would like to say a huge thank you to Erik. We had some personal family/business matters that needed attention in Athens and not knowing the Greek language fluently this presented challenges to me. Erik took it upon himself to help me in some very important matters . Erik went above and beyond to help me. Erik has become a good friend to me. Erik always took it upon himself to make sure that my family was taken care of and happy. Erik is very personable and is excellent at his job. If you want results........ you go to Erik !!! The waiters and waitresses at XFLOOR and Terra Cafe all were very friendly and good to us, I don't remember all their names but I appreciate their kind service . Electra is the best deal in all of Athens for the quality of hotel and service. Don't look any further, Electra is where you want to stay in Athens. Thanks to everyone at Electra...... you're simply the best !!!! See you soon !

YES HOTELS GROUP: NEW HOTEL  On our last day we had the opportunity to visit another Hotel from Yes Hotels Group called: New Hotel. The best part was the rooftop terrace with the view of the Acropolis. We had an amazing dinner during sunset time with an incredible view.  Like all Hotels of the YES Hotels Group “New Hotel” has its own concept. For example, they didn´t get rid of all the old stuff of the former Hotel in this building, but they renewed it and used it to highlight the interior.  It was really amazing to see the effort they put into designing and concepting every single hotel. Once you are in Athens you have to check it out. I totally recommend staying in one of their hotels once you are in Athens. The people working there are super friendly, every space is clean and cozy, that makes you feel like home.    THANK YOU, Yes Hotels Group, for making our stay so magical! Dreaming about the day I will come back.  With love, Cristy

Stayed two nights at the begining and end of out time in Greece and could not be more grateful that we did. Very responsive to prebooking emails with information and pricing - booked direct with the hotel and easy and faultless process. Upon arrival which was later in the evening the service was wonderful with both our bookings being done in the one go so that when we come back we would not have to waste time! Our rooms on both occassions were the family ones which we large and roomy - great bathrooms and accessories. Having the two bathrooms and sleeping areas really impressed Master 14! That in itself speaks volumes :) We had balconies in both instances with views up and down the street to watch the life of the city. Staff on all occassions were generous with thier time, kind and welcoming. This is always appreciated. Breakfast was decent and there was plenty to go around - only very small suggestion would be for larger coffee cups. Aside from this very, very minor suggestion it was delightful. Location, location, location! Does not get any better for this price. Across the street are some amazing places to eat - they actually need to be much further away so you can walk off all the yummy food before heading back to the hotel! Post Office just up the road, good access to laundrymat within one kilometer. And if you want to save some money on airport transfers catch the bus as it stops a five minute (if that) walk from the hotel. You can also stroll to some cool archeological sites from here on your morning walk (to walk off dinner) before you start again for the day. The area around the hotel felt safe and easy to get around. We are already planning our return to Greece in 2021 and will not even hestiate to come back to the Pan Hotel - simply the best value around! Well done to all xx

Just off Syntagma Square, very central, a pleasant walk to the Acropolis. Small grocery store round the corner and a bigger supermarket about ten minutes walk. The main shopping street runs parallel from the square. Handy for the metro, 10 euros from the airport or airport express bus comes to the square for 6 euros. We stayed in a luxury studio, very clean, well-furnished and well-equipped for two or for a couple with a child (there is a washing machine). The staff were extremely helpful, especially Zoi. It is very good value considering the location, the high standard of the accommodation and the public areas. There is a cafe on the roof and a restaurant at street level, a bit more pricey depending on what you choose, but there are plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants in the area.

We have spend a week in this hotel, in August 2020. Hotel is well located, close to metro station. We had superior room in 5 floor. Room was big enough, very clean. We have got every day 2 botles of water for free and coffe capsules. There is pool on the roof - entry for hotel guest is for free, also guests are getting water for free. Lifeguard is there until 18:00. The view from the roof is amanzing. The Staff been always very nice and helpfull. As we have been in the hotel during current Covid-19 situation, I would like to mention that hotel has safety rules in place. Mask to be used, also staff been wearing masks always. The hotel and whole staff always paid high attention to safety rules. An example - during check in as i had to sign check in documents - there are pen available on the reception desk - once signed i have put the pen back, the receptionis took the pen and put it a side. I need to say, the hotel and whole staff takes the safety rules seriously so we felt safe. Well done to the whole staff and hotel management. I can only recomend to visit this hotel. Price reasonable, great location, amazing pool and nice, helpfull staff.

Neos Kosmos
We had booked 18th September, a double standard room. We got what we booked, a lovely double standard room; not much of a view but decent room amenities. We flew out on the 19th September to Santorini and the kind receptionist kept our luggages. As we were checking out we mentioned we will be back again on the 21st September, but due to arriving back to Athens at 12 midnight we booked the double standard room again however we had booked the Penthouse suite for the 22nd September. We asked if we may get a complimentary upgrade as we already booked penthouse for the next morning. The receptionist said she will make a note and said if it is available then of course they wouldn't mind upgrading. It is now the 21st September (22nd midnight) - we have just landed and have come straight to the hotel. The receptionist was not welcoming at all. We had no pleasant welcoming nor did we get a welcome drink like the way we did on the 18th September. We then asked the receptionist if there was any chance of a complimentary upgrade for the penthouse, he laughed and followed through saying 'of course not, penthouse is very expensive', I replied to that, well we have it booked for tomorrow - I was asking due to ease of transition. The receptionist then went quiet. We then asked if it were available, he said to ask in the morning when we come for breakfast. He then booked us into our room and upon leaving to go to our room he asked if it were someone's birthday, I asked why, he said what the reason is for booking the penthouse, I said because we arrived at 12 midnight and wouldn't be able to use the room to its full potential. He then laughed and said we have saved money and we could now spend it on dinner. This receptionist saw us and thought we were just young adults with no money trying our luck. We judged us from the moment we walked into the hotel. My experience on the 18th is completely different to my experience today. The receptionist also booked me into the possibly worse room in the hotel. We a dirty window view of the back of some building. This room did not even have a functioning TV. I feel like this was done out of spite. I went onto hotel booking websites and saw that the penthouse as well as many other rooms were still available for the following date: 21st - 22nd September. This is further strengthening my argument that the receptionist booked us into the worst room on purpose. The room does not even come with complimentary water, bare in mind all shops are closed in Greece from 12am. We literally went to bed thirsty. DO NOT BOOK this hotel! I will update everyone on my experience tomorrow with the penthouse. But I wouldn't hold my breath

We stayed at the Electra Metropolis for 10 nights. I have to say firstly that the staff were very friendly. The views from breakfast were incredible! I would also recommend the fillet steak at dinner. The most memorable experience for us were the three visits to the spa at the hotel. I have to firstly mention Joanna, who was so friendly and welcoming! But our biggest thanks go to Tatiana, who gave us the best massages ever! Tatiana takes her job very seriously and wants her customers to be happy. I had a muscular issue which she helped with. She really knows her stuff. Tatiana was totally professional and was excellent at her job. Thank you! The other ladies in the spa were also very good. I would highly recommend this hotel. It’s in the perfect location for loads of great restaurants and the key tourist sites!

Psiri / Monastiraki
The location is excellent! Walking distance to Monastiraki, full of options for meals nearby (and also close to the city market) and with a fantastic staff - especially the girl who made my check-in, she could speak Spanish very well and made our communication easier (as a Brazilian, I speak Portuguese, which is close). Rooms are in good size and mine was quite clean, bed was comfortable, ensuring me good sleep quality - not 100% good because there was some reconstructing work on the street so the noise started early, but it was not hostel fault and now it is certainly finished. Only disadvantage was that one of the toilet walls in the shared bathroom was made of thin wood, sometimes hard to close, but I have survived ;-). The atmosphere is something to remember in a positive way, I recommend this place to everyone!
