My friend and I stayed in twin room. Waa very impressed with the service given and the room itself was perfect for us staying over for one night for a Christmas get together in Portsmouth. We would definitely recommend and go back again to stay. Using this app, was quick and easy I shall be using again in the near future. Thank you :) .

From the moment we checked in to the moment we left the service could not have been better. Rooms were compact but designed so well and had everything we needed and were very clean. Comfortable bed, heater, air con, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. Shower was powerful. Good quality TV. All staff were helpful and friendly. The Grill bar was quite busy on the Saturday night and the food was delicious. The only minor thing was we had to ask twice for the pudding. I think they may have been short staffed in the bar/kitchen. Breakfast was self service and plenty available. Good quality sausages! We used the pool and sauna which we enjoyed. We'll definitely be back.

The Ibis Budget Hotel, is a very basic hotel as implies in the name. It's convenient for the accessing the Ferry, town centre by bus. Fratton station with trains to London is less than a10min walk. There is no fancy trimmings here. The room was small, but clean. Offered a continental breakfast. Located in walking distance from supermarket and fast food restaurants. The Bus 1 goes from Gunwharf Ferry to the Southsea Pier; but be careful. This bus changes to a Bus 3 at the Southsea Pier. It carries on another hour plus towards Southampton etc. All in all, the hotel offered my family a good rest after a long day out. The bottom double bed was very comfortable. Perhaps the bunk bit is not best suited to a teenager.

This is hotel is in a great location. Its close to city centre shops. 5 minute walk away. 1o to 15 minutes walk away from Gunwharf Quays. Safe car park.£10 a day. Good breakfast, lots of choice. Lovely bar area The rooms are really clean. And everything you need. The only problem is they're rather on the small side. But other than that a great stay

The breakfast is good, the location is super good, the service is good, and the price is affordable! Hee hee, it is suitable for taking children. There is no parking lot, but there are many parking lots nearby, and the location is super good.

Very nice hotel. 2 min walk to the Historic Dockyard. 5 mins from Gunwharf Quays shopping centre. We stayed in room 14. Was clean and comfortable. We did not have a sea view but I can only imagine how lovely that would have been since you can see HMS Warrior from the door step!! The breakfast room is gorgeous. Bright and airy. Buffet hot breakfast on our first morning and staff were happy to cook a separate vegetarian breakfast for me. We were told on day 2 the buffet was a trial but I think it worked really well. Day 2 was table service. Staff were really friendly. Happy to let me have a jug of fresh milk for my cuppa in the room. The car park is quite small and took some manoeuvring to park but considering that you're right on the front - any free parking is a big plus. We look forward to returning!

What a horrible person on reception when we arrived late off the ferry. Rude, disinterested, disobliging, inconsiderate. Treated us like a really stupid inconvenience. In spite of the fact that this was an advance booking, so our arrival should not have been a surprise nuisance for her. This, overlaid by the hotel's very complicated financial systems which involve taking a LOT of money from your credit card that you do not owe and only paying it back when you leave, will make sure that we will never never set foot in a Marriott again. AND, dear readers, if you don't want to join their Bonvoy (which I assume is a marketing abbreviation for Bon Voyage aka happy times ha ha) you have to pay £12 to get WiFi. Actually a lot of the staff were really sweet, what a shame they have to share a review with that awful receptionist. This comment will make no difference whatsoever to anything, but it makes me feel better and I hope it will encourage people to look elsewhere. There are alternatives ..............

Welcome to the naval heartland of Great Britain, and one of the country's most historic locations. Premier Inn Hotel Portsmouth North Harbour immerses you in maritime history, with the Historic Dockyard just a short journey away, and there are plenty of up-to-the-minute business destinations nearby too. Set sail for one amazing day out for all the family, with Henry VIII's Mary Rose and Nelson's HMS Victory to explore at Portsmouth Historic Dock. Or see travel at a rate of knots at Goodwood's Festival of Speed. There's lots of marine activity at Sunsail, with a full calendar of yacht racing and regattas. Then set sail for the hotel with its tasty restaurant and extra-comfy beds.

I read a few negative reviews before arriving here and I was a bit worried about how my stay would go. I have to say all of theses reviews were proved wrong. We had a really good stay. Staff were friendly and helpful and the reception staff especially were constantly working on reception, in the bar and helping clear after meals and breakfast. Our room was very clean and convenient. The only issue is the separate charge for parking. Having to pay on a machine at a hotel is unusual and unnecessary.

Amazing position, great location. Maria, on reception was a 'star' -what a welcome. Friendly and professional. Treat two pots of ice cream, added bonus. A room off the dining area, first on the right, no miles of walking, excellent. Clean and comfortable, as the bathroom, lovely and clean. Breakfast the usual, seriously manic. Extremely busy, buffet, just warm food, lots of choice, wonderful hash browns. No prisoners taken, still enjoyable. Tables cleaned in between guests, well done. Only down side 'He' has now become a registered disabled, no parking available in the small parking area located on site which was annoying. We parked in the underground Gunwharf car park, the charge was reimbursed which was fine, however, it was an issue for him getting to and from the hotel. Did not spoil our stay, loved it, hopefully will stay again.

Had a lovely clean room overlooking the sea. A good location, a few minutes walk from Southsea pier, and a 30 min walk to Gunwharf Quay. Easy parking outside of hotel and only £2 per day if you grab a permit from reception when checking in. The breakfast was nice, and friendly staff all round. Nice small cosy bar, the only downside was it was rather too expensive. Would have given an overall rating of 4.5 due to bar cost but thought a 5 was fairer than a 4.
