It was actually the only option on New Year’s eve for less than 100 us. I arrived late and all my city hotels were at 300 us. No way I thought ,so I got this one . Not really a mistake but huuuugeeely inconvenient. First of all this hotel is exactly on the very end of Tokyo Prefecture , this is next to Satama Prefecture and 15 KM from where you want to go, believe me. I know Tokyo well, I speak a bit Japanese, okay no problem. In case you take this hotel be aware there is a train (Tobu Line) to be taken, the last one leaves around 11.30 pm in Tokyo. There are express trains that don’t even stop at yazuka station wher you have to go. So figure this out before boarding the wrong one.It takes around 1 hour to get to the hotel from let’s say Shinjuku-Ku or half an hour from Tokyo Skytree. The tickets cost a fortune. Said this back to the hotel. It is decorated like Barbie and Ken’s Las Vegas Nightmare. Terrible for an architect like me, but ok. Worst thing of it all , the room windows are all blocked like an atomic bomb shelter. Yes, right, there is a huge metal board, slab just across your view. They said it is for safety reasons. I suspect this is a love hotel or used to be a brothel and so the indececeny is hidden .Something like this. Have a look at my pictures. The rooms are relatively big for Japan, well it isn’t Tokyo. Very old and very smelly ! They have no non-smoking floors and apparently only 1 non-smoking room which was gone. So this is the real nuisance . Smoke and smokers everywhere. I hated it. Cost me like 70 us to get the smell out of my clothes. The TV screen was smaller, really, than my netbook screen, the room was okay itself but everything reeked of cigarette smoke. There were slotmachines even on the floors. They have a complimentary breakfast which was quite good by the way. Soup, chickenwings,Meatballs..unbelievable. The staff was more than accommodating and friendly (that’s what saved this dump (really) from 1 star). Nect time I just stay at the airport and will certainly never come back. That happens when you don’t really want to spend big money in Tokyo :).

We have a very nice stay. The house is spacious, well equipped and comfortable. The area is very quiet and the host very helpful every time we have a question. The 7/11 and subway are close and a bigger supermarket is at 10 min walk distance. There is also a big park close to the house.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The lobby and the room and everything were downright immaculate. Japan tends to be clean in general, but this was above that bar. My room was comfortable and there were all the amenities I needed, including a refrigerator and microwave, discreetly tucked away in a cabinet. There was a large 50" TV and high-speed internet. Despite its name, this is not really a ryokan aside from the fairly traditional Japanese theme to the rooms. The beds are contemporary mattresses (just on the floor). This is OK as I wasn't looking for a traditional ryokan. But just be advised if you're looking for the traditional ryokan experience, you should stay elsewhere. This is much more like a hotel with a traditional Japanese twist to it. It's really one part spa-hotel, one part ryokan, and one part modern hotel. Pros: All the above. Very good value for the price. The bathtub was in traditional Japanese style. They provide free water and plenty of different toiletries. Cons: Inconvenient location (this was the major downside) -- it is about a 15 minute walk to the nearest station, which isn't covered by your Tokyo Metro or Toei passes, so expect to pay a bit more for transportation into the city. It is also a bit of a walk to the nearest convenient store. My room had shutters on the window, which may be nice for people who want to sleep late, but they completely shut out the light altogether (it was pitch black in my room at 8am). The maid service comes by pretty early in the morning. There's no "Do Not Disturb" or "Clean Now" signs to put on your door handle, so you either need to be out at 9am or your room won't be cleaned. The TV is really nice, but the channels and movies on demand are only in Japanese, so I didn't really get to enjoy it. They should offer some English options, in my opinion. They do have a BluRay player attached to the TV, so if they had a library of English-language BluRay disks downstairs, that would solve the problem. Overall, I'm glad I stayed here. It was very comfortable. I'd rate it 4.5 stars out of 5 if I could.

It is convenient because it is easily accessible from the station and there are many restaurants, supermarkets, and convenience stores. The room was clean and there was no noise, so I was able to spend a relaxing time.

Ayase Hokusai This hotel is SMALL.  I'm only 5'6 and I feel like I'm a giant!  The bed is so small my wife elbowed me a couple of times during the night. The toilet doesn't have the usual heated seat and we arrived there in winter! It's also pretty small, with no heated mirror. It's probably suited for traveling low-level Japanese office workers. No communal baths for soaking offered. Still, it's cheap and clean, don't forget to ask for non-smoke room if you don't smoke, it's  pretty stinky. English spoken and very polite staffs.

The rooms are very small and designed for Japanese clients, while there is a bar fridge, table and chair, the room is very small and the bathroom is tiny too. The elderly need to take care as you need to climb into the bath. Only Japanese language shows are on tv which is strangely situated on the left hand side of the room. All windows are frosted with wires mesh. To be truthful I felt I was in a prison! Toiletries are available downstairs every afternoon. Breakfast is nice, newspapers are available including an English version. Free drinks e.g. coffee and coke etc are available all day till 10 pm. Free washing and drier facilities are available, just bring washing powder or buy it at the front counter. Just up the road is a major train station and shopping centre. The river is close by and makes for a lovely walk. The location is excellent, just the rooms are small and prison like.

The hotel is clean and clean, and people are cleaning every day. The bath set is also good and there are many different types. The breakfast is very rich, with beef, chicken, fish fillets, etc. It feels good value for money. The disadvantages are common, the room is slightly narrow, especially the toilet, it feels a bit full. There was a little episode in the middle, and the hotel and Ctrip customer service (including Shanghai customer service and Tokyo customer service) were actively negotiated and resolved. This attitude of dealing with the problem is still commendable. When you screen the room type, remember to take a screenshot and confirm the bed type.

Small apartment located about 5 min walk from Machiya station, so location very convenient. Many eateries around til after midnight, including 24 hrs bento shop (150m from the hotel) where you can choose among many type of take away food incl bento box, onigiri, katsu etc, with cheap price. 28km from Haneda, will cost around ¥11000 by taxi. 20 min by train to Asakusa. Useful info: 1. Reception closed at 10pm. You need to inform them in advance if you want late check in. After 10pm there will be no one in the reception so if you need anything, plan in adv. 2. Apartment very clean and new but no housekeeping during your stay. They provide powerful vacuum cleaner to use. 3. Im staying in Japanese type room, very spacious. Can fit 6 person. Do note that double bed in Japan is 140cm, so for 2 big guy, will be a bit cramped to share the bed. 4. Common space is where you sleep on futon, but curtain is paper thin so it will be bright in early morning. Those who like darkness better sleep in the bedroom. 5. They provide washing machine but no dryer. You can dry clothes on hanger in balcony. 6. If you need taxi esp big car, reserve the day before. In my case, i had to wait 30 min before being informed that they were fully reserved, and had to hail taxi under the rain, with smaller car, our luggage barely could fit. Not good if you need to rush to the airport. Overall I had pleasant stay. Highly recommended.

If you loves omakase breakfast at Toyosu market, shopping at Venus Fort, Diver City, Aqua City, visiting the TeamLab Borderless and TeamLab Planets, and hot-spring at Ooedo Onsen, that's the perfect location. Even gives you quick access to Disney resort and Haneda Airport! Small rooms as usual but the one with twin double beds is excellent for parents with two young children. The only downside is no car-rental nearby.

this hotel is always my favourite. the location is very convenient for shopping, for food & for transport. However, it took me over 45minutes to check in hotel because they couldn't find my booking although I provided the's confirmation number but I had no hotel confirmation number. Owing to the super typhoon which I must stay in the hotel, the hotel staff provided quality services & very good food. Overall, I enjoyed the stay.

Check in was a breeze, efficient and high tech. Godzilla head is an interesting feature of the hotel (esp. for fans), and location is great, right in the middle of the happening area. room size is good, can even be bigger if the toilet is joined with the bathing area. can bring the 2 single beds together to form a large bed.

Suidobashi/Tokyo Dome
Their service is nothing short of excellent. They have staff who are fluent in English (and other languages as well, I suspect). Me and my friend came thinking that we would be staying in a Single Room with Extra Bed since that was what we booked as we attempted to be more economic. However, to our pleasant surprise, our room was upgraded to a much much bigger room for free. We are very thankful to the helpful staff for making our stay pleasant and extremely comfortable. The location is great as it in located somewhere in between Iidabashi and Suidobashi which is pretty much close to the geographical center of Tokyo. Head east you will be able to visit Akihabara and Asakusa quick. Head west, you will be able to hit Shinjuku, Harajuku, and Shibuya. The neighbourhood is fairly quiet and the Tokyo Dome is just a 10-15 minute stroll away. If I am coming back to visit Japan, this hotel will be a clear top choice for me. Haven't had the opportunity to have the breakfast at this hotel, but I will certainly try it out on my next stay here.

Good hotel. Location is great and convenient, pretty much inside Sunshine city mall. There’s also a 24/7 family mart as well. Didn’t encounter any elevator problems in regards to having to wait long queue times.
