The staff was extremely accommodating and let us check in 3 hours early with no extra charge! The breakfast was great and sufficient. The location of the hotel is in the center of town, about 15 minutes walk to the beach. It was also very clean, the only criticism was the defective air conditioning and that the remote control for the TV was missing, but hey, who cares about watching TV on vacation, we didn't complain about it at the reception, otherwise it would certainly have been fixed immediately been. Definitely recommend again anytime!!!

A beautiful hotel and it’s in a great location. It’s spotlessly clean and very modern. The staff were lovely and very helpful. We were there on a half board basis and the food was very nice. Prosecco at breakfast was a nice touch. Our only small gripe and it was nothing really, was that the internet dropped out quite often only on the English channels for some strange reason. There was only a couple of channels English speaking and all of the other channels worked fine when the English ones didn’t. Each room had a sea view to some extent and the views were outstanding. A perfect atmosphere which we hope is the same in the summer as we plan to go back.

Reception was the best experience friendly and chatty. They took us to the room explaining air conditioning and facilities. (Nice touch). We were early so they let us leave our luggage in a secure room offering us facilities to shower and change if we wanted. They messaged us on watsapp when room was ready. The bed was the biggest and comfiest I’ve ever slept on! The room was modern/ very clean fresh towels every day if required and the shower versatile with two different heads. The hair dryer was strong. The safe comes free with room as does a mini fridge with free water on day one. The hosts always acknowledged us when we saw them out and about and were very informative of Torremolinas and other areas. The balcony is very small enough to smoke out there if needed. But there’s a great roof top sun terrace with beds/chairs where you can chill with a drink or food as they ask you not to eat in room. Great holiday would highly recommend hotel great value for money.

5 day short stay in March , as others have said I bit underwhelmed at the entrance but once inside very clean and all staff friendly and welcoming. Go out the gate by the pool area and you’re straight on the promenade, and a supermarket on the doorstep too. The rooftop pool/bar area as great views too. The food was great too and plenty choice in the area if you want to eat out. We’d not been to this area before and really liked the chilled old town vibe… maybe different in high season. We couldn’t fault anything for what we paid , only 4 not 5 because noise carried but still found it relaxing at this time of year plus the weather was great. Just ask for a kettle instead of packing one , delivered to your room. If you hire a car parking is a problem in the locality, the hotel one is a few street away and payable.

Stayed overnight prior to a 7a departure from Malaga airport. Staff was friendly and accommodating. As is often the case, spoke excellent English. I had called ahead to see if I could get an airport shuttle to the hotel but we had come by train from Cordoba and they only offer the shuttle if you have an airline ticket. Turned out we had no problem getting there via a local train and short walk on a walk ing path and local road (<15 min) walk. Our room was on the 1st floor. No elevator but they can send you up stairs or via a ramp to get to all room levels. The room comfortable clean efficient with a surprise, a mini fridge! TV in room. We had a sewer gas smell in the room. I probably could have asked for another room but in all honesty,, too tired to deal with it. We filled the traps, opened the window (the smell was inside the room, not outside) Bed/pillows was a memory foam, not to my liking but some folks will like it- good news, it wasnt lumpy or with old springs. There is an on site bar/cafe/ Italian restaurant that is surprisingly good and inexpensive. Sports in the TV in the bar. On site secure parking for an extra fee. Airport shuttle has some limitations, but there are work arounds. Firsts shuttle leaves at 5a so in the end took it back to the airport for the early flight.

This really good two star hotel is situated about 5 minutes walk from Torremolinos train station and 80 metres from the Calle San Miguel. Very central in Torremolinos. They appear to have about 5 friendly guys who work on the 24 hour reception. My room number 306 was of a good size, a functional bathroom, large balcony, TV, free wifi and the twin beds were comfortable. daily room service and if one requires a small refrigerator it costs around 3- 4 euros a day payable at the reception. I highly recommend this hotel and I understand they will be staying open during this Covid virus.

Great lil hostel! We booked last minute as our plans suddenly changed, it was very cheap and accommodating. Our room was cleaned with fresh towels every two days. We stayed for about 2 weeks overall and were very thankful of the air conditioning in the room! We briefly met the manager who always seemed pleasant and the cleaning staff were all very polite too. I really enjoyed reading my book on the rooftop seating area they have. Not the Ritz but great if you’re travelling on a budget. Probably the worst hotel experience of my life. Location is fine, a short walk from the train station. For the most part it was quiet until the final night when the person in the room beside me who had a dog seemingly had a hookup with someone else who had a dog. The dogs didn't get on so there was barking for an impressively long time, and one was quarantined to the balcony. Back to my experience, my room on the third floor stank for the entire week of my visit. Like a mixture of mould, damp and fish. One day I came back and the smell had vanished, the room smelled clean. Sadly I discovered that whoever had cleaned my room had sprayed some cleaning solution over a brand new t-shirt I had bought for this trip. The material has dyed spray marks all over the back and is not wearable. Almost as if it has been sprayed with bleach but when speaking with the hotel I was aggressively told they do not use bleach. Every day the cleaning standards were extremely varied, but would always have that fish odor mentioned above. One night I came back to my room about 1/2am and the fuse box in my room was emitting an extremely loud continuous beep. Fortunately when I went to reception there was a maintenance man who was able to disconnect the alarm within minutes, and two guys came back the next day to fix it properly. I could go on about the issues but can't be ****d. I'll be coming back to Torremelinos but won't be staying here.

Just back from a nice 4 day day at Costa Park. Travelled with my husband and 3 year old. This was our 2nd visit as we loved it so much last year as did our toddler. We had really bad weather all week but the entertainment team worked really hard to keep everyone entertainment during the day and night. The staff are really brilliant and so welcoming in all areas - never once did we experience any rude staff at this hotel. The hotel is well kept and the rooms are nice and spacious (we were in room 2118 overlooking the main stage area). There were 2 big areas we were massively let down on this time compared to last year- 1. The evening entertainment - this was very basic and watered down in comparison to last year. Last year they had excellent entertainment every night after the mini disco - amazing acrobat shows, big elaborate family productions (Disney themed etc) but this year it was just bingo and a disco each night. I suspect that this could have been due to the fact we travelled in mid March (pre busy season) and/or they had limited space indoors due to the weather. But having experienced the excellent entertainment last time we were left disappointed this time as we went expecting a similar entertainment experience, especially with paying premium prices for Easter week. The staff that were there did the best with the tools that they had though, no disrespect to them whatsoever and they were great with the kids. 2. The food - the food in the main buffet has massively gone down hill. In 4 days we found it very repetitive with options limited for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The salad bar and breads were great but the hot food usually consisted of really poor quality meats and fish (fatty, chewy, boney etc) and greasy vegetables with chips. I found it odd that apart from fresh fries there were never any other carb accompanents for the main dishes - no potatoes, mash, rice etc, always just chips. They did paella a few times but this was often unedible with really chewy seafood and broken/smashed clamshells in it everywhere. I resorted to bread and soup most meals. We were all inclusive but I also found it really annoying that at lunch and dinner you had to ask one of the waiters to turn the beer and fizzy drinks machine on everytime you wanted a refill. It was quite hard to get their attention during busy periods so we often just gave up and drank water as we couldn't be bothered waiting every time. When I asked why it just wasn't left on one if the waiters told me it's because most people aren't all inclusive and if they leave that area unsupervised the non inclusive guests just help themselves. I understand that but the paying all inclusive guests shouldn't be penalised for this. We didn't get half the drinks we wanted because they just weren't accessible to us, not without a lengthy wait anyway. This didn't happen last year. We would potentially go back as the facilities, pool area etc and staff are just fantastic but I definitely wouldn

Super friendly welcome from Javier, who explained how everything worked with our All inclusive package at the hotel. Our emailed room request was taken On board and we had the most fabulous view from our balcony. There were many Food choices, from daily staples such as pasta, rice, chips and burgers as well as different daily menus which included lots of different types of fish and meats, breakfast also catered for everyone, no freshly cooked omlette or a la crate dining but as good as Any other 4 star hotel we have stayed in. Excellent location including proximity to shopping and the beach, Photos really don’t do the hotel enough justice.

Stayed in this hotel after for one night prior to an early morning flight. We were greeted by a friendly member of staff on checkin who made everything easy, and immediately sorted out our room keys when they didn’t work. The room we had was small albeit excellent and clean, and bed was very comfortable - however the best thing about the room we had was the huge terrace complete with two sun loungers - we didn’t arrive till quite late on in the evening and had to leave early the next morning so it’s a shame that we didn’t get to make use of this terrace but if staying for a few days this would have been absolutely amazing. There are a few large hotels across the road which had loud nighttime entertainment on which was completely blocked out by good soundproofing. There is a supermarket next door and the beach was only a five minute walk away. If we were staying longer, I’d only have a couple of minor issues - firstly being the shower; at 6ft 1” I found it quite cramped and there was no shower door (only a half screen) which meant water went everywhere, and a huge metal towel rail in the shower area which I had to keep ducking to avoid banging my head on; and secondly - I could hear the people in the room next door quite clearly due to the connecting door between the rooms, not a huge issue but I felt bad at them having to hear our alarms going off at 3am so that we could get up for our flight. Did not have breakfast or use the pool area so can’t comment on them. Overall this was a lovely place to stay and if returning I’d definitely be asking for that same room again!

Sandos Griego

The Griego is a very nice hotel and ideally located, just minutes from the centre and station. The rooms are clean, spacious and serviced daily. Beds very comfortable, plenty of wardrobe space and a good size en-suite with efficient shower over bath. All rooms have balconies and are served by lifts. Unfortunately not enough. All the staff are amazing, so cheerful but very hard working. We are full of praise for the hotel and would have awarded 5 stars but unfortunately we chose the wrong time for our visit. The Spanish retiree season. The hotel was 85/90% full of Spanish retirees. We do not blame the hotel - the retirees guarantee out of season capacity but they dominate everything. They cluster in groups and can be quite loud as the women talk, (or rather, shout), over each other. They dawdle, stop or change direction in the passageways and dining room, where they love to bump chairs, forcing their way through. They jump queues, push in and overfill lifts regardless. They attend the Entertainments Bar early to re-arrange the tables and chairs for their groupings then take turns for dinner in order to hold their seating all evening. We could not watch any entertainment during our week as there was just no room. As said, fundamentably, The Griego is a great hotel but I believe that at least one block, possibly two, have been added over the years and both the Entertainments Bar and main Dining Room are far too small for the increased capacity. Notices display the peak dining times. It is best to take heed and dine early as the queues become horrendous. Tables are tightly packed and coupled with the retirees attitudes, dining is bedlam. It works only due to the efficiency of the overworked staff. How they remain cheerful and smiling is commendable. Full marks to them. Generally there is great choice for all meals and the food trays are replenished frequently but we found the cooked breakfasts, eggs, bacon, sausages etc, lukewarm, though there were plenty of other choices. All said, we loved the hotel. Would we go again - yes but later in the year with the retirees absent.

I have been coming to this hotel in Torremelinos for well over 20 years. I even came after it had been refurbished. It is very nice and spotlessly clean.. It is situated in a prime location on Salvador Allende in Montemar area of Torremelinos. I really enjoy my time here and the hotel staff are very helpful and friendly always. The only criticism I have of this hotel. The beds are Rock hard and I wake up badly bruised and aching from my slumber... I wish Sol Timor Apartments would install more comfortable mattresses. Otherwise I have absolutely no problem with it at all...

The hotel is not located in the same Torremolinos, it is located in the ALAMOS neighborhood, 7 minutes walking from the beach and 4 minutes walking from the train stone nearby Malaga - Fuengirola. It is a hotel that has a few years, but that to be a 3-star is fine, the rooms are large and with terrace, the only thing they should have a shower plate instead of a bathroom, especially for the elderly. The hotel is very comfortable and the hotel is very comfortable. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable, and it is very good to have a nice restaurant. The reception and dining staff are friendly and correct, special mention without trying to disserve the others is Antonio his room chief, professional, efficient, resolute and exquisite friendlyness, a crack. And finally mention the management, as it is not easy to serve so many people for the price they pay per day , especially the IMSERSO Recommended without doubt

I'm so happy I finally found a place that I can say I've really enjoyed my time in.Staff who really know what it's all about-HOSPITALITY. Great welcome on my arrival, very comprehensive explanations as to where everything was and how to access things.I know people have complained about depositS for this that and the other-GET OVER IT.Ive stayed in higher end hotel who do the same. Eva ,Arthur and Fernando at Reception where excellent throughout my visit.I ate quite a bit at the hotel and I found the food good and the pleasantness and efficiency of all staff without exception to be wonderful. I asked for a room change on day two,as there was quite a loud group next to my original room and it was sorted immediately. The spa has all you could want also, and again a very pleasant guy takes care of things there. Finally, the room, again its got all you need.I had beautiful sea view, lovely dark wood floors, great shower and amenities aswell as wonderful Housekeeping. This hotel is mainly geared for LGBTQ client and as a member of that community I can recommend this hotel to you-Its great. Well done to everyone involved I'm making my first trip to Torremolinos so memorable and wonderful. John P Murphy xx

Ignore the negative reviews , people paying 3 star money and wanting 5 star treatment , food is very good , not hot enough but mocrowaves provided to heat the food to your liking. Excellent cleanliness throughout the hotel and maintenance , (i had a leaking tap and it was fixed within 15 minutes). Great location 50m from the beach , bus stops , taxi rank and train station within ten minutes walking distance. Staff courteous and efficient , pool and bar area was clean plenty of sun loungers and seating ,i would highly recommend this hotel , i got what i expected for the price i paid. If i wanted five star treatment i would pay three times the amount i paid for this hotel. The only reason this hotel did not get five stars was due to average evening entertainment , suggest you ignore the negativite reviews and judge the hotel for yourself you will be pleasntly surprised.

Sol Principe was just PERFECT From the moment we arrived at the hotel Sol Principe everything was perfect. Staff greeted us with smiles on their faces, room was just perfect with all the extras including a full stocked mini bar/coffee machine/ x2 TV’s/Robes/flipflops/towels/beach towels & ECO products. All-inclusive drinks were amazing including the cocktails and champagne. All food was out-of-this-world EVERY meal time. I couldn’t and didn’t want for anymore. The grounds were kept lovely as we sunbathed most days – out of season for the outside pools but this didn’t matter as the inside pool was warm and clean. Every member of staff was very helpful – especially Cristian in the food hall - she was AMAZING - only problem was we had to go home - but we will be back soon

Hotel Carmen Teresa

Torremolinos

The Carmen Teresa is a lovely family owned hotel with approximately 40 bedrooms and is quite possibly the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. It won't suit everybody because it is situated on a rather busy road but it doesn't bother me one bit and when the balcony doors are closed you hear no road noise whatsoever inside and the attractive garden and pool area to the rear is incredibly tranquil too. The beautiful beach of La Carihuela is only a 5 or 6 minute stroll away down a slight hill, where you will also find a huge selection of shops, bars and restaurants. There's a bus stop just seconds away from the hotel, so exploring the area is made simple and incredibly cheap. There's even a new Aldi store just a short walk from the hotel too. To keep this review real I have mentioned the road, the bedroom walls too would probably be a bit thin for some and the water system can be noisy at times but overall I love this hotel. The staff can't do enough for you, the location is terrific, the price is so competitive and it's only a 20 minute transfer from the airport . I've stayed at the Carmen Teresa three times now and will definitely be staying there again

This was our second 3-week stay at this large, bustling hotel. Last year we stayed in a superior side sea view room and loved the views, decor and peace and quiet. This year we decided to pay extra for a junior suite, but ended up wishing we hadn't bothered. Although the suite was huge and had 2 sofas plus a hot tub on the balcony, we felt it didn't live up to our expectations. We heard a lot of noise from other hotel guests, which appeared to come through the air con vents; during our stay there was a Spanish couple next door who seemed to scrape their furniture across the floor at all times of day and night. On another occasion there were 3 young couples staying on either side of us who insisted on shouting at each other across their balconies. They also smoked constantly, so we ended up having to leave our balcony and sit in our room to avoid inhaling the fumes. We found the water in the shower often ran cold - one night we had to report it, as we both ended up having a completely cold shower. The cleaners, waiters and entertainment staff were generally pleasant and very hard-working, but we found some of the reception staff quite aloof. The restaurant got really busy and noisy at times and it was sometimes difficult to find a table. The food on an evening was generally decent - especially the freshly cooked fish, but a lot of the cooked meat dishes were unappetising stews and barely warm. Since our visit this year we've concluded that large, noisy hotels just aren't for us - we'll be trying somewhere smaller and quieter next year.

Then they ask you for your credit card when you arrive from where you get charged the money from the deposit you have to be very careful that if you don't ask for it back they don't give you the money from the deposit. Then when I made the reservation on the App he wrote that breakfast costs €10 while in the hotel they ask you for €15! As for the beds, they don't have double beds but only two beds pushed together. The floors of the rooms are a bit ruined and obviously the whole hotel needs a lot of maintenance. The location is also very nice because I have a sea view room which in theory is 25 m², it has 25 m² because the corridor from the door to the room is long

The accommodation environment is okay, so it is decent. But the buffet, the night performances in the lobby, and the various sofas and chairs in the swimming pool at the back are very good for sunbathing. Overall, this hotel is awesome and cost-effective. Another lovely stay at la barracuda, roof top bar is amazing ( draft beer would make it perfect) The sea view from our room was fantastic, Barracuda has a large pool so great if you want to do some proper swimming . Simply go out the promenade gate and your on the beach front , with its abundance of beach restaurants and bars serving everything from tapas , fresh fish and amazing paella. Breakfast at the hotel is pretty good and most the staff helpful . We are returning in a few weeks for a family holiday , which is probably the best praise I can give the hotel !!!!!
