We stayed at Dormy Inn express for 4 days during the last week of December. We booked one family room for 5 people (3 kids) and it suited us perfectly. The rooms are designed like a small suit with a small entrance foyer, washer/dryer and Japanese style toilet and bath. The hotel is centrally located and a few blocks from the Metro. Don’t forget to take a walk along the river/canal, it’s absolutely lovely with boutiques and cafes lined along the river. We also managed to walk to Shibuya which takes about 45minutes. Although it’s just 2 stops on the metro. Many restaurants in the area and cheaper than eating in Shibuya for sure. The rooms were clean (except our room has a small hole on the wall like someone had punched it in which did not disturb us but it would be good if management fixed it) and the breakfast simple but perfectly fine for our family.

The hotel is situated approximately a 10 minute walk from ebisu metro station (one station away from shibuya, two from harajuku). It is uphill so it can be a bit of work with suitcases and the entrance not obvious. Nice neighborhood appears to be relatively high-end. The "hike" is well worth it. The hotel is modern and newly renovated. The staff is respectful. We had a room with two beds and it was a decent size! Especially by Tokyo standards! We could fit 3 big carry-on luggage easily. The beds were comfortable and we had two pillows (a hard one and softer one, like in most hotels- you choose the one you want). There is a water closet with the most sophisticated toilet I'd seen in our stay. You open the door and the light automatically turns on and the seat opens itself. The flush is an eco-friendly one. Some of the lights work with a sensor (including the one in the water closet, which preserves energy and is eco-friendly). The bathroom has a big shower and seperate tub. There are two shower heads so you can choose whatever you feel comfortable with! Practical for someone who is tall. In front of the bed you have all the amenities ( tea and a kettle, robes, keyboard, plenty of places to charge your devices) plus an additional sink and mirror. They have a free breakfast, it is small but if you are not picky you can find some eggs and ham/bacon plus a coffee. Overall, I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. It was a fun way to end our trip in Japan, as this hotel has it's own quirky, unique style.

A really great choice in terms of extended stay hotels. The staff is friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Some of the staff’s English is limited, but there was always one person on staff with good English, you just needed to find that person. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but small. I think that is the case for any hotel in Tokyo. We got a triple for 3 adults and had 3 double-sized futons. The upside was that we had plenty of sleeping space, the downside was that the futons took up 90% of the room. But for a 2 week trip, it was SO helpful to have a washer-dryer in the room, as well as a kitchenette. Free coffee in the lobby was a very nice benefit. We took 2 side trips to Kyoto and Shanghai, and the staff was great about storing some of our luggage so we didn’t need to transport all of our heavy suitcases. The location is terrific, right near the train station and in the nice mostly residential neighborhood of Yutenji. There are lots of restaurants and stores but it’s not crazy busy like Shibuya. I’d highly recommend this for English-speaking travelers.

This was my first stay at a capsule hotel, but unlike the image, it was stylish and clean, and I felt it was suitable for business and friends. Eating and drinking was possible only in the shared space on the floor with the front desk, so if you buy and eat, there are various users rather than slowly in a private room. It is a feeling. I felt the service was good, and the staff was very polite and I felt that the cleaning was very good. The air conditioning is kept very comfortable and I think that it was very good compared to the cheap accommodation costs.

I had to write an exam in Tokyo at Temple University (Japan campus). I specifically looked for a hotel that was conveniently located for me to take the exam early in the morning. I picked Hotel Fukudaya for the convenience but was wow'd overall. The people working at the reception were all very friendly. I speak Japanese so check-in was pretty smooth but I saw a lot of other foreigners and they could generally communicate in English with them. My room was quite small with tatami floor. I had a large window and my own private access to a toilet. Didn't have a shower in my room, but had access to a bath (you lock it so you have sole access for that period of time). It was pretty cold in Tokyo at that time but the air conditioner heated the (small) room just fine. There are no elevators but they will help you with your luggage if you are staying on the upper floor. They held onto my luggage after I checked out and I came back for it later. I only had them hold onto it for a few hours, but I believe they can hold onto it for even a few days. Can't imagine having to stay here again since it's not the most convenient for tourists and I won't be needing to take the exam again. You have to walk quite a distance from the nearest JR station (uphill too). But it was a very comfortable stay.

Summary based on two separate, multi-day stays: --convenient to Shibuya station New South exit, but a long walk to Yamanote line. NEX convenient. --secure, quiet, decent sized with work area, kitchenette, washer/dryer, closet space. Good lighting and ok electrical receptacles. --good temperature control, including air con --Friendly, English speaking staff --adjacent to 24 hour restaurant with ok Western or Japanese breakfast. Many restaurants and several convenience stores close by. --grocery store 450m walk away --drinks vending in the lobby, including beer --in room safe There are two buildings for this hotel, which are about 5 minutes apart. I've only stayed in the one next to Jonathan's. Recommended in this area, especially if you want a washer/dryer.

A very perfect hotel, the most satisfying hotel I have ever stayed in during my one-month trip to Japan. The carpet has no smell, the air is clean, and the sanitation is in place, which is twice as good as the hotels in Hakone that are more than 5,0006,000 a day. It is also worth mentioning that the hotel front desk staff is really warm and warm. The next time you come to Tokyo, the Westin Hotel is the best choice. very good!

I went to the Tokyo exam. I lived in a single room on the first day. I didn’t sleep well one night. I went to the hotel on the third day the next day. The health was very good, the service was very intimate, the room was very new and clean, I I don't want to leave, and it is worth mentioning that it is very human, and there are hot springs on the second floor! All the shampoo and hair care brands are branded, the hair dryers are very tall, in short, I have lived in the best single hotel so far, so I fell in love with the capsule hotel, the hotel location is also very good, walking from the business district In 8 minutes, the guests were very conscious at night, very quiet, no very noisy situation, entrepreneurial is very comfortable, sleep until dawn, if there is a chance, will definitely go again! By the way, with the food you eat nearby, the tomato noodles must be tasted!

The hotel is very close to the subway. There is a supermarket all the way to eat. The environment is very quiet. I like it very much for breakfast. Bake the toast as a sandwich. The room is small, but it is enough to live. One bottle of water per day is not enough, and the window does not seem to open. TV shows are on public, but I don't understand. Although the door is still opened with a key, there is no security risk. In fact, as long as it is near JR, it is convenient. It is close to Harajuku and Roppongi. Anyway, it is a very good hotel! If you go to Meguro to see the beautiful scenery in the cherry blossom season, next time~

Hotel Mets Shibuya is a very nice comfortable hotel fairly well situated at the far end of Shibuya Stations. The rooms are reasonably large by Japanese standards and well equipped. Beds are comfortable, bathrooms a little squishy. Little or no view through rooms at the back of the hotel. Staff are friendly and courteous. Most things are fine. Three small annoyances. The first is limited free TV. Only a small number of Japanese channels and everything else is PAY TV. Secondly they refused to extend the check out time by 1 hour unless I payed a charge. Bad customer service there. Lastly was charging for a breakfast voucher at a higher price than just going downstairs to the restaurant. Just outright price gouging. A good hotel that could be better.

Stayed here with my 17 year old son during Spring Break. Hotel located about a 10 minute walk uphill from Shibuya Station, in a quiet residential neighborhood. Nice sized room with a King sized bed, kitchenette with washer and dryer and a dining area/desk area. Our bathroom was large and separated as two rooms - toilet and sink in first room, shower and tub in the second room. It came in handy when two people are trying to get ready at the same time. Breakfast buffet downstairs is 1000 yen and has a variety of food. Sure you can probably get better value for yen elsewhere, but the convenience of not having to leave the hotel made it worthwhile. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful...we would gladly stay here again.

If you loves omakase breakfast at Toyosu market, shopping at Venus Fort, Diver City, Aqua City, visiting the TeamLab Borderless and TeamLab Planets, and hot-spring at Ooedo Onsen, that's the perfect location. Even gives you quick access to Disney resort and Haneda Airport! Small rooms as usual but the one with twin double beds is excellent for parents with two young children. The only downside is no car-rental nearby.

Check in was a breeze, efficient and high tech. Godzilla head is an interesting feature of the hotel (esp. for fans), and location is great, right in the middle of the happening area. room size is good, can even be bigger if the toilet is joined with the bathing area. can bring the 2 single beds together to form a large bed.

Suidobashi/Tokyo Dome
Their service is nothing short of excellent. They have staff who are fluent in English (and other languages as well, I suspect). Me and my friend came thinking that we would be staying in a Single Room with Extra Bed since that was what we booked as we attempted to be more economic. However, to our pleasant surprise, our room was upgraded to a much much bigger room for free. We are very thankful to the helpful staff for making our stay pleasant and extremely comfortable. The location is great as it in located somewhere in between Iidabashi and Suidobashi which is pretty much close to the geographical center of Tokyo. Head east you will be able to visit Akihabara and Asakusa quick. Head west, you will be able to hit Shinjuku, Harajuku, and Shibuya. The neighbourhood is fairly quiet and the Tokyo Dome is just a 10-15 minute stroll away. If I am coming back to visit Japan, this hotel will be a clear top choice for me. Haven't had the opportunity to have the breakfast at this hotel, but I will certainly try it out on my next stay here.

Shinjuku
Location is perfect, in the heart of shopping district Shinjuku. It's also walking distance from Shinjuku station. Economy double room is very small for two people. The plus point is the Airport Limousine Bus counter is just right at the hotel lobby and the hotel is one of the stop for the airport limousine. Overall is very good. Will come back here again if we travel to Tokyo.

Shinjuku
Great location. Nice places to eat all around. And a market with Sega machines and video games. Lots of convenience stores and cafes. 7 Eleven, Lawson, etc. We are vegetarian and found an authentic Indian restaurant on way to station from hotel. Hotel has shops and restaurants on Ground Floor (called 1F) ie. Family Mart - great for instant food packs etc VERY difficult to locate Reception/ Check-in Counter. Come to the THIRD Floor (3F) and you'll find it! Very secure. Use your hotel key in the lift to go up to your floor. Very small rooms at the hotel - Take one with TWO SINGLE BEDS - then bed size is very decent for 100 kilo women!! Rooms have TV, lots of ports to charge phones etc. Fridge. Electric kettle. Bathrobes. Slippers n shoe horn - See pictures... VERY LITTLE space for bags. Loos are amazing. Electronic pots etc. BEWARE - getting tub is very high - So buy a small ¥400 foldable footstool to step in and out - buy from shop called Daisu in underground passage to station. CARRY your own TEA (Chai) if you are used to it. Only green tea and coffee in room. No milk provided in the room either. So if you took the room with free breakfast, that's good - You can pick up milk and sugar sachets there. See instructions for coffee carefully. Its not simply a sachet. Water has to pass THROUGH it. Response to room service usually VERY prompt 5 restaurant choices for free breakfast (if you took that choice) of which 2 are American and can serve you vegetarian choices. See pictures attached for the Manhattan restaurant view! Very hearty breakfasts! 2 bottles of mineral water provided daily. All linen is changed daily, EXCEPT for bedding. Most staff understand English - else use Google Translate. If you choose to reach this hotel from the airport via Shinkansen, reach Shinjuku JR station, ask where the cab stand is, expect to pay approx ¥650. If you choose to walk with luggage, then take a 4-wheel medium sized suitcase each at the most. 2 choices - walk straight out of South Exit and cross road just once 10 minutes later. OR use the underground path for easier movement of luggage, and walk about 15-20 minutes (if with luggage) towards Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building - plus may have to climb one small flight of stairs in final stretch.
