This hotel is AMAZING! Its what I would call a hidden gem. The service from the front desk staff is unmatched. We stayed here in March when the COVID-19 just started to get crazy. We came up for the A-10 Basketball tournament that was eventually cancelled. We had planned to stay till our planned check out until the mayor of NYC declared a state of emergency. So what was supposed to be a 4 night stay ended up only being 2. The staff waived any and all fees associated with us choosing to leave. This was the best and bright spot of our trip. This hotel cares. The rooms are smallish per say but its NYC and we knew that going in. Our family of 4 fit just fine, just make sure to use the closet near the window. Beds were AMAZING and room was clean. View was amazing. This hotel is hidden but very close to a subway stop and like maybe 25 ish mins to Manhattan. The price cannot be beaten for the quality. You will not be disappointed with your stay here. I promise.

Conveniently located on 39th st a few blocks from the subway. Lots of places to eat nearby. Very comfortable bed and room very quiet once inside. Breakfast included in the price. It was clean but didn't feel clean as it's an older building. Staff professional but unfriendly. Breakfast room attendant needs to learn how to interact with guests. Although mine was a pre paid rate through Wyndham, a room safe charge was applied by the hotel which I had to ask to be removed. Overall a good place to stay in Brooklyn but watch out for the sneaky extra charges.

I arrived extremely early and forgot to request an early check-in (although early check-in is not guaranteed and still based on availability), so I ended up waiting 4 hours in the very small lobby and breakfast area. Finally get a room and it's a basement room! Small and dark, to say the least. Called to request another room and was told none available until much later. Being tired after a long flight, I decided to keep the room. We left the room at 7AM the next morning (had tickets to the Wendy Williams Show!), and I placed a written note on my bed instructing housekeeping not to change my sheets. We arrived back to the room around 4 PM, hoping to relax before heading out to dinner, but was surprised to find BOTH beds stripped, towels everywhere, and housekeeping nowhere to be found. Looked like they left right in the middle of cleaning! The worst part was seeing the condition of the mattress pads. Horrible stains everywhere – I almost gagged thinking about sleeping on it the night before. See the pictures for yourself. There was also trash and bags of dirty bedding and towels left throughout the hall. I forgot to mention it was common to see bags of “laundry” in the one small elevator as well. Well, called the front desk to complain and demand another room out of the basement. Had to escalate it up to a manager and finally got a room on the 3rd floor. This room was slightly bigger, looked a lot cleaner, and we had a much better view. However, the configuration of the rooms is very inconvenient. There is a huge closet armoire placed behind the doors so you can’t fully open the room door - a pain trying to wheel in your luggage. And for rooms with two beds, you have to squeeze between one of the beds and the wall to get into the bathroom because the bed is so close to the bathroom door. The bathroom itself is a nice size but the single sink is placed so close to the bathroom door that you're literally touching the door while using the sink. Just awkward, especially sink there is a long counter top with plenty of room for two sinks! I thought maybe it was like that in the basement room because of the cramped space, but it appears to be set up like that in all the rooms. Overall, would not stay here again or recommend. The saving grace was the free breakfast and good location.

My employment brought me to Brooklyn on a last minute trip and I was fortunate enough to find this property. I was rather surprised by the pictures that the price was absolutely reasonable, but based on other reviews I booked it for 7 nights as it was a 20 minute Lyft ride to the site. The staff was very pleasant on arrival as it was late and made checking in fast. The room was clean, all the expected amenities with a nice clean modern look that contrasted the average room. Bathroom was very nice. Room was quiet, however the ac/heater unit is right next to the bed. On a good note I do like the movement of air but it is loud and the fan fluctuates all night. The only knock I can give is the bed was a bit lumpy, but not horrible by any means. If I am fortunate enough to go back in that area, I'll stay there again.

I tried this hotel because of the price and location. This hotel had a lot of amazing pluses. The location is amazing. It's about 200 feet from the Union Street R Train, which is one stop from Atlantic Ave Barclay Center which has access to the trains that run express in Manhattan. The WiFi was excellent. Rarely can I say a hotel has excellent Wifi. The shower was powerful and left you feeling clean. The TV had a great selection of channels. The bed was comfortable. The room was minimal, no table, just a bed, but workable. So I really was liking the hotel, then I went to bed. OMG, you can hear EVERY DAMN NOISE in this hotel all night long. I had a terrible night's sleep between doors opening and closing, showers turning on and off, people walking around, and not to mention the never-ending parade of cars and trucks. It's obvious this hotel spent $0 in any kind of sound proofing. I would love to recommend this hotel because it had so many wonderful things about it, but I had a migraine the entire next day because I kept getting woke up all night from all the various noises that you can hear.

We stayed here for 2 nights on the final days of our American road trip before flying back to the UK. The room was lovely, it was small but was to be expected in New York. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom and especially shower was very nice. The beds were comfortable and we had a nice view of Brooklyn. The location for us was excellent, we stayed in Brooklyn before when we came to New York and loved it because the prices to stay in central New York are ridiculous, plus sometimes its nice to get away from the hustle and bustle. It was a 2 minute walk from the subway and about 30 minutes direct on the subway to the centre of the action. Breakfast was good quality and included in our stay which was good. We didn't have much to do with the staff apart from check in and check out, but they seemed pleasant enough. I have nothing negative to say about his hotel it was perfect for our stay and I would definitely stay here again.

Do not stay at this hotel! I booked a stay here through Hostelworld, a third party service I have used for years without any problems, where you pay a small fee for the booking and then pay the rest of the amount due to the hotel when upon arrival. However, when I arrived at the hotel, I was informed that someone who I have never met before in my life had stayed in a room under my name a week previously and that they had charged my credit card without my authorization for the stay. The person at the front desk was incredibly rude and unsympathetic, insinuated that I was lying about not knowing the person who stayed under my name, and kept insisting that it must have been an error through Hostelworld's system. He also gave me a whole lecture on using "unreliable" third party services and that I should be more careful with my credit card information and then told me to book another night with no guarantee of a refund for the fraudulent night, which I did because I had no other place to stay on such short notice. I then called a Hostelworld customer service agent who was very helpful, concerned, and confused about the whole situation, as they told me that the reservation was in place for the correct date and that any change after my initial booking would have had to been made by the hotel. They also offered to speak directly to the manager on my behalf to clear the matter up and advocate for my situation. I was told the manager was out and would contact me in my room later that day, which of course, she never did. I was also told she would be in the next day, and she was not. A few days after I left the city, I was finally able to get in touch with someone by phone (not the manager) who told me they would issue a refund for one night within 14 days, which I still have not received. Furthermore, I have had to deactivate my credit card because a small Amazon charged popped up a few days later that I had not made so it is absolutely certain that someone stole my information, whether it was the hotel or the person who stayed. Since my stay, I have read many other reviews stating claims of fraud, so am convinced this is the fault of the hotel, not Hostelworld, since everyone I interacted with was being so defensive and suspicious in every encounter. The actual room was fine, but absolutely do not stay here under any circumstances, as this has been the worst hotel experience I have ever had and made my nice vacation weekend a huge headache.

Our organization runs Institutes and conferences for K-16 educators across the U.S. and internationally. We wanted to be right in the middle of Gowanus so that our teachers could meet for presentations and then field work. We found the Fairfield Inn and Shaaray and her team took such great care of us that it felt like being home. Many of our participants even commented on how well they felt taken care of. Michael was ready for us early and spared no effort to make sure our A/V needs were met. He checked back frequently with us to make sure all went well. (This is unusual in my experience) The Fairfield is extremely well kept and clean and so we felt it to be perfect since our image is always on the line the venues we work in. I would also comment that Sharaay went above and beyond in the weeks leading up to our conference, making sure that everything would run smoothly—and it DID. My wish now is that every venue we work in would have someone as on top of their game and full of professional hospitality as Sharaay and her staff at the Fairfield. The hotel's configuration is good, dishwasher, microwave, induction cooker, refrigerator, dishes and cutlery are very full! It's just that the scoop and shovel are not easy to use, but you can do it! The hotel room is large, a dressing room, and two large closets. There is an anteroom in the entrance. The kitchen has an island and a dining table. The family is definitely very relaxed. But the shortcomings are too prominent, that is, the refrigerator is very noisy. At night, the noise is not good at all. The sound of the air conditioner is louder and the heat is very fast. It is sleeping in an air conditioner. The noise feels like sleeping in the open hood. Next to it, the booming night collapsed! If the air conditioner is turned off first, the second refrigerator is still very noisy and can't be turned off, so sleep and fear the noise to give up! In addition, the curtains are blinds, and they are not shaded at all. This is not human! Let's talk about the advantages. The hotel is just outside the Wall Street subway station. There is an exit on the 2. and 3 lines in the hotel. It is especially convenient. It is also very close to the 4th and 5th lines! The hotel is very convenient for transportation. It is a 5-minute walk from Trinity Church and a 10-minute walk from Wall Street Copper Bull. The opposite side of Tongniu is the Museum of American Indians. The building is particularly beautiful! It’s also about 10 minutes walk from the boat dock to see the Statue of Liberty. It’s really convenient, and the surrounding security is better. There are not so many tramps! The hotel has a big food supermarket for 3 minutes. The food for cooking can be fully purchased. Turn right and go straight for 5 minutes. There is a very complete daily necessities supermarket. It is also convenient. In short, in addition to huge noise, other The place is worth experiencing, the bathroom is easy to use, the toiletries are all L'Occitane, the mattress is soft but comfortable, the pillows and quilts are also very soft and comfortable, the bed is USB charging and humanized, except for the bathroom mirror I don’t know what to do with the nonsense owls. It’s very scary to go to the toilet in the middle of the night. The others are very human! In addition, I saw that there is a guest feedback that there is no smoke exhauster. In fact, I have not found a place. The switch of the smoke exhauster is on the microwave oven. The light is the light of the hood. The FAN is the switch of the smoke exhauster. The blinds next to the air conditioner outlet are seen. It is one piece, it is actually a cover, and the air conditioner switch is hidden inside.

My boyfriend and I spent the night here awhile ago and we couldn't be happier with our stay. The hotel feels very sexy so it was perfect for our little staycation. We're right next to Times Square so we got to be tourist in our city. The rooftop is gorgeous. We had the king suite overlooking the street with wall to wall windows. It was a great change and escape from our tiny Brooklyn apartment. Would highly recommend for a sexy night in NY:) Also shout out to the GM Jeremy Poon if he's still there. Amazing hospitality from the bellman to the front desk to the housekeeping team.

1. Good location: 9/11 new building and Memorial Museum just outside the window. 2. Convenient for travel. It takes 3 minutes to walk to New York's line 1, 2, 3, E, R, W. Taking a taxi is also very convenient. 3. Good service: there are people in the lobby 24 hours, and a deposit of 250 yuan for 5 nights. 4. The room size is OK and the facilities are complete.

It ’s not the time to come out this time to catch the epidemic every day. This hotel is not cost-effective. The deposit is 600. Breakfast is basic for more than 100. Every night, the food is delivered to the room for more than 130. The 600 deposit is not enough. I ca n’t say that the deposit is refundable. The bathroom is super small, especially the shower and hand basin. What ’s wrong? Drop the ensuite sofa into the toilet. The sofa can be turned into a bed. I think the next time I go I will choose to live in New Jersey across the Madison River to see the buildings in Manhattan. It was so noisy that at least ten policemen were parked downstairs 24 hours a day.

I was going to NYC to see Elton John and was to stay at The New Yorker. Well... neither happened. I had made non-refundable reservations but called the hotel to see if their policy would change during this crisis. Every person I spoke to was so nice and helpful. One person that really stood out was Neida Aldama, a supervisor at the front desk. She was incredibly kind and compassionate about the situation, and offered that my prepayment be used as a credit that I can apply anytime in the next year (hopefully if/when Elton John reschedules!!). I feel that this was very generous, given the fact that they had every right to tell me I was SOL. Neida even went so far as to call me to directly answer a question I had. I know that they are dealing with a lot and are working with a skeleton crew, so that phone call really blew me away. Thank you Neida and The New Yorker!
