We had reserved a room to stay at this hotel since it was close to the Four Winds Casino for a concert. They have a free shuttle service to the casino and concert venue which was very nice. Front check-in staff were very pleasant and courteous

Needed a night away, so I decided to go to the other side of the state to New Buffalo. The hotel is right off of I-94 and La Porte Rd, very easy to access. Downtown New Buffalo is about a mile and a half north; you could walk there if you really wanted to. Upon checkin around noon, I was greeted by the GM (I can’t remember her name right now) who had my room ready. She said I could be upgraded as a Priority Club member, but I would have to wait until closer to 3 because the rooms aren’t ready. It was just one night, so I had the standard room, being two queen beds with no fridge or microwave. It’s just one night, that’s fine. The hotel is quite small, just three floors and no suites to my knowledge. I am sure it is partly due to it being a seasonal heavy area- the vast majority of their business comes in late spring and summer due to New Buffalo being a lakefront tourist town. Upon reaching the elevator, I noticed a microwave in the hallway, so apparently you could use it if you needed to, if you felt like going through the hall, and the elevator. My room was on the third floor, and it was like it was described. The nightstand is a little nicked, and the chair had some fraying at the top, but it was functional and clean. I used the bathroom, and right away the toilet was clogged! Had to go downstairs anyway to get my luggage, so I alerted the front desk and she said she would send someone up. Sure enough, on my way up the maintenance man came with the plunger and did his job. Very fast and friendly. One thing I noticed is that I was given the side of the hotel facing a field (and I-94 way in the background, which you can’t hear), instead of La Porte Road. That’s a plus- it was very quiet. Room noise around me though was another story. The walls are very thin, seemingly more so than most HIE. TV seemed OK and includes the local sports channel, plus a few locals from Chicago (as well as South Bend, the market New Buffalo is in). Considering New Buffalo receives a large amount of tourists from there, this makes sense. I needed a coupon printed for a business in nearby Michigan City, so I went to the business center, which is just a computer in the corner of the lobby (and a fireplace nearby). Didn’t see a printer, so I asked the desk. The woman (different than when I checked in) said someone took the cable and they wouldn’t have one until next week. I told her I just had a coupon print, and she just said sorry. She could have offered to print it for me from her computer since it was just one page- not the best service. I had to go back into New Buffalo to the library to print it before heading to Michigan City. I used the pool, which is small but fine. The spa is warm, however the bubbles do not work! There was no note stating this either. I get things break, but at least put a note up! Had a decent sleep, and shower was typical weak water pressure. Breakfast was typical. There is a McDonalds and a gas station right next to the

We had been traveling with a group of friends and stayed first night at Casino. We decided to leave our 2nd night at casino and try something new and different. The lodge is enchanting! The bar and restaurant excellent atmosphere and food was amazing! That was the only positive thing we found here. Once to our room, we noticed our king bed had 4 small pillows. As well the air didn’t work in our room. We attempted heat, cool, and fan only for some circulation. There was a gas log fireplace, that didn’t work. My husband went down to front desk to address these issues only to find out that the staff leaves at 5!!! The bartender and chef were the only ones here. We were told the fireplace was not functional and 1 extra pillow was in the closet. There is an 800 posted by the desk but no phone. ,y husband tried to call, but no one answered. The bed was absolutely the worse! We both tossed and turned all night. It offered zero support. The mattress is on a piece of plywood. The mattress pad was plastic, thus we both sweat all night. Mind you while we had to have the window cracked, the large fan blowing and the slight rumble of the interstate traffic. The continental breakfast left us seeking out breakfast at a different location. We are not big morning eaters but a bowl of fruit, random yogurt, 1 type of bagel(toaster was old and didn’t accommodate the size), 1 karafe of coffee. I truly wish we had just come over for dinner and skipped the room. They don’t seem prepared for overnight guest at this time.

The room was very nice. The hot tub was hot. The pool was clean. The workout room had various activities. I love the hot tub in the room. The shower was extravagant. The king-size bed and was something to remember. I would definitely come back. Whenever I am able. It was probably the best hotel stay I have ever had in my life. The staff was great. Helpful breakfast was warm and hot. Nothing to complain about all good.

This was our first time staying here and it was really nice. We had a king room in the tower. I wiped the whole room down with disinfectant wipes because Covid... and I was very impressed. The room was super clean prior to Me cleaning!! The employees were friendly and attentive. You have to call housekeeping to get towels, etc and they were very Prompt as well. The ****** is nice and the attendants there were very helpful. Even won a little Money. I highly recommend the steakhouse,William Tells I think it is. It was the best prime rib we’ve ever had. I can’t wait to return, hopefully soon!

When I got to the hotel, I had booked through booking.com, and got to the hotel at 2PM Local time. Everything Went perfect, Got the room key, went up to the room, And there were people in the room already, Which is Why I am giving this hotel 5 stars. Let me explain. I went back down to the front desk and Instantly the Person at the desk was The most apologetic I have ever seen/experienced. I get that People need to be cause its a part of the job and whatnot, but this gentleman INSTANTLY moved us to another room, and Not only that, but when we got up there Called us to Make sure that we Were good and the room was fine, which no one else has ever done for me. The Customer service Made everything well with me. Also, The room was great, beds were super comfy, room was super clean, I definitely would stay again!!!

Room basic, no coffee facility which I think is pretty much a standard requirement. Bed comfy enough. Pretty rough looking inside & out. Hair in the shower recess which was horrid, strongly suggestive that it’s not cleaned between guests. Decent sized room in great location. A good stop over but not fantastic in anyone’s language. Other guests fighting loudly late at night outside our door was irritating but certainly not the fault of the complex. Toilet is loose on the floor so needs repair. Can highly recommended Holly’s for dinner, but be aware it’s popular so you may wait but well worth it & FABULOUS staff

The Blue Heron Inn is a wonderful property. We had a Lakeview King with a Balcony and Jacuzzi Tub. The room also had a Fireplace. The restaurant T Bone Pier 11 on the property was a fantastic place to eat. We stayed at The Blue Heron Inn back in February and today we made reservations to return for the warmer weather.
