It all started when I first arrive the staff it perfectly says on bookings.com that this hotel provides free complementary breakfast in the mornings I ask one of the staffs what time does breakfast start and he said they don’t serve breakfast. Second I ended up getting locked out of my room because the lock system ended up breaking so I ended up out of my hotel room locked out of my hotel room for seven hours straight because we had to wait for the IT man (handyman) to come into work. Another negative thing is every time you use the elevator at this hotel you had to swipe your card to go up and down and and many times the card doesn’t work in an elevator you have to constantly swipe the card multiple times in order for it to finally work. If you’re reading this review and you’re thinking about booking at this hotel please don’t do it the hotel quality overall is horrible the outside environment it’s not that pretty is trash everywhere on the ground. The only perks of staying at his hotels are so that it is close to subways

We had a great experience at Gild Hall. As a Globalist, we were supposed to receive a complimentary upgrade to a standard suite, which was available during our online checkin. Despite a 1 King Suite being available, we were assigned a 1 King Premium. When we mentioned this at checkin the hotel said they had no suites available to place us in and we could pay for an upgrade to the Penthouse suite. We paid for the upgrade but this is not how it should work per the World of Hyatt terms and conditions. Rooms are tastefully decorated and functional and have a great selection of snacks and drinks inside. Very spacious but that is what I would expect for their top room. Our breakfast was also covered and the restaurant staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. Our stay was very short but it was a great one. Gild Hall offers a good value for cash and points stay. I would recommend booking as late as possible because the hotel dropped their rates for that night sometime in the afternoon.

The hotel's configuration is good, dishwasher, microwave, induction cooker, refrigerator, dishes and cutlery are very full! It's just that the scoop and shovel are not easy to use, but you can do it! The hotel room is large, a dressing room, and two large closets. There is an anteroom in the entrance. The kitchen has an island and a dining table. The family is definitely very relaxed. But the shortcomings are too prominent, that is, the refrigerator is very noisy. At night, the noise is not good at all. The sound of the air conditioner is louder and the heat is very fast. It is sleeping in an air conditioner. The noise feels like sleeping in the open hood. Next to it, the booming night collapsed! If the air conditioner is turned off first, the second refrigerator is still very noisy and can't be turned off, so sleep and fear the noise to give up! In addition, the curtains are blinds, and they are not shaded at all. This is not human! Let's talk about the advantages. The hotel is just outside the Wall Street subway station. There is an exit on the 2. and 3 lines in the hotel. It is especially convenient. It is also very close to the 4th and 5th lines! The hotel is very convenient for transportation. It is a 5-minute walk from Trinity Church and a 10-minute walk from Wall Street Copper Bull. The opposite side of Tongniu is the Museum of American Indians. The building is particularly beautiful! It’s also about 10 minutes walk from the boat dock to see the Statue of Liberty. It’s really convenient, and the surrounding security is better. There are not so many tramps! The hotel has a big food supermarket for 3 minutes. The food for cooking can be fully purchased. Turn right and go straight for 5 minutes. There is a very complete daily necessities supermarket. It is also convenient. In short, in addition to huge noise, other The place is worth experiencing, the bathroom is easy to use, the toiletries are all L'Occitane, the mattress is soft but comfortable, the pillows and quilts are also very soft and comfortable, the bed is USB charging and humanized, except for the bathroom mirror I don’t know what to do with the nonsense owls. It’s very scary to go to the toilet in the middle of the night. The others are very human! In addition, I saw that there is a guest feedback that there is no smoke exhauster. In fact, I have not found a place. The switch of the smoke exhauster is on the microwave oven. The light is the light of the hood. The FAN is the switch of the smoke exhauster. The blinds next to the air conditioner outlet are seen. It is one piece, it is actually a cover, and the air conditioner switch is hidden inside.

Convenient location as it’s located within the financial district and within walking distance (6 to 13 minutes depending on the routes taken) from the Wall Street subway station. The hotel may not be easily spotted but it’s right next to, or rather on the corner of, AC Hotel in the financial district. All rooms booked come with complimentary continental breakfast which is of reasonable quality and standard. Just don’t expect a full spread. Ideal as prices are very expensive in New York (typical standalone sandwich for lunch can range from USD6 to USD10 and a fast-food meal in the big chains costs around USD10 with taxes). King-size room is of adequate size. The size of the room may be an issue to others but not us as it’s in high-price New York financial district. Had stayed in a much smaller room in Singapore for much pricier rate and in a not so central location. Shower and air condition system are very powerful! Staff are very courteous and helpful all the time.

If I could give separate star ratings for this hotel I’d give Sonia the breakfast room supervisor top marks. The location is about a 3 (near several subway lines making it easy to get around the city). The hotel has to be a 1. As other reviewers have commented the heating system is very poor. As the heat went on a blast of unpleasant smelling cold air came out for a while before any warm air emerged. I called the front desk the first night to ask about it and the (very unhelpful man) said to turn the heat down a few degrees to avoid the problem. Only problem with that was that it was cold in the room to begin with. I raised the issue the next morning (after a night spent flinching every time I heard the heating unit kick on) with the (much more helpful) women on the desk. They sent an engineer/fixit guy up to my room immediately. He checked everything but explained the system was working as intended so nothing he could do about it. He was helpful, polite and did what he could. The blackout curtains in the room left a gap at the edge so wherever I positioned myself in the bed I had lights from neighbouring buildings shining in my eyes, not helpful for good sleep. Last issue - I asked the unhelpful guy on desk about possibilities for cabs in the area the next morning when I checked out - his response “why would you take a cab, the subway is a few blocks away”. Yes I knew that - however didn’t want to drag my bag up and down subway steps during morning rush hour unless I had to. Not at all helpful of him. All in all a disappointing experience improved only by Sonia and the 2 female front desk staff.

The location, in my opinion, is as good as it gets, close to Brooklyn Bridge and Wall Street. The room is very good, clean and spacious. The staff are nice and polite. The only point that could be improved would be an included breakfast. Anyway, for people planning to stay there, there is a nice coffee shop nearby, called Flavors (in Water Street).

Picked this hotel for the location. Check in went smoothly with a desk clerk that was on loan from the nearby Holiday Inn Express. He was masked, polite and upgraded us based on our IHG status. After that, it was not a good stay. The room was never below 78 degrees, the toilet seat was falling off and the light/electric plate in the bathroom pulled out of the wall every time it was used. The room did not look or smell entirely clean. There was no enforcement of mask wearing in the public common areas and that included the hotel desk clerks that were at the desk for most of our stay. Elevators were not marked to limit passengers and there was only one elevator working during our stay. The small lobby and narrow hall to elevator was constantly filled with families either hanging out or waiting for the elevator. Most did not wear a mask and when we asked one woman to put hers on before she entered the elevator, she met our request with hostility. There was a constant smell and haze of smoke from marijuana in the hallways, in the other corridors and from a couple who seemed to be camped outside the hotel doors. There are much better options open in the city and in this area, do not stay here.

Check-In/Check-Out Checking in and out was smooth. The gentleman who took care of us was friendly. The Room We got the room with the living room, not sure if this is the standard room here but I don't think so. There's also a small kitchen with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and sink. The floor was a bit cracked in the kitchen. There are windows in the bedroom, a small tv but the remote controller was not working and the tv was not working as well. The bed was a decent size for two but somehow we found a few bugs on the bed, not bed bugs coz we didn't experience any for the two nights we stayed here. The Bathroom The bathroom was a decent size. There's a bathtub but wouldn't recommend to use them looks dirty with stain probably because is old. The water pressure could use some more. There is a hairdryer. Restaurant/Entertainment There is a restaurant since they offer a breakfast buffet in the morning but we didn't try them since it's New York! gotta do the local stuff! Hotel Service/Amenities They have free wifi in the room but the wifi was very slow. They also do baggage service. Overall Not sure would come back here again to stay. The hotel is doing partly renovation when we were there not sure if they're doing renovation for the whole hotel or just some part of the hotel. But they really do need to upgrade and do some fixing on their property especially the rooms. Definitely not for the elderly.

We’ve stayed at the Artezen twice now and absolutely loved it. It’s a lovely little boutique hotel right in the heart of the Financial District, within walking distance to many sights including Battery Park, the Brooklyn Bridge, Wall St. with all it’s historical landmarks, the South Street Seaport, Trinity Church, and an extremely short walk to the 911 Memorial and Museum. It also borders Little Italy and Chinatown, and is close to other trendy neighborhoods including TriBeca and SoHo, and we even walked to the West Village, which wasn’t too far. There are many nearby dining options, with so many offering outdoor seating, and it’s a very safe neighborhood. The hotel itself is pretty new and the rooms we stayed in were lovely, spacious, nicely decorated and extremely clean. We had a terraced room which offered a lovely place to drink our morning coffee and just relax. The service couldn’t have been better, and the concierge, Carmelo, was THE nicest, and the most helpful and hospitable we’ve ever experienced at any hotel. We’ll certainly book here again, as our daughter goes to college very close by, and the Artezen is fast becoming our home away from home!

I stayed at the Aloft in Manhattan & it was great! Conveniently located within walkin distance to Chinatown and Little Italy and more. Ralph also greeted me and sisters with a warm welcome. He was genuinely happy & helpful every time we saw him in the lobby. Last but not least, I want to mention the awesome housekeeping dept. I left one of my favorite sweatshirts at the hotel gym, and the housekeeping dept found it and notified me when I inquired. Samson Mei packaged it up nicely to have it sent to me. I appreciate everything the housekeeping staff did from communication to maintaining the rooms to high standards. Aloft is a great place to stay with professional staff that take care of their guests. :)

I was booked into the Residence Inn Downtown Manhattan by my insurance after a fire in my building in Brooklyn left me displaced from my home. I needed a pet-friendly location to move to immediately that would also have enough space to let me continue to work from "home". The housing department at my insurance company found this hotel, and I'm so very happy that they did. I ended up staying at the Residence Inn for two and a half months before the insurance finally found me an apartment to stay in for the rest of the time until the repairs in our building are completed. For that ENTIRE stay, I experienced nothing but friendly service and a sincere attempt to make me feel at home. It worked, to the point that when it was time to move to the apartment, I found myself sharing tearful goodbyes with the staff, knowing I would miss them all terribly. Jason McGrath and Miguel Aviles, the two managers with whom I had the most contact, did EVERYTHING in their power to make me feel welcome and valued. They checked in with me frequently to be sure I was doing well and didn't need anything. John Stefanidis, the housekeeping manager, patiently worked with me to schedule housekeeping so that I could plan for having my cats in their kennel when housekeeping arrived and not be awakened early in the morning. The entire housekeeping staff, especially Miriam and Blanca, were just wonderful, and kept my "home" comfortable and clean. The security staff at the ground level greeted me every day and welcomed me with smiles. And I cannot say enough about the front desk staff. Annabelle, Ricky, Aya, Heidy...EVERY moment of contact I had with them was filled with smiles and cheer. This is a tough time for those who work in the travel industry, and you would never know it by meeting them. It felt like every day they were trying to find ways to be even more helpful and friendly. And when I casually mentioned to one of them that I had just received a birthday card, later that night I had a bottle of wine and card from the front desk staff. It was so special. I feel a little lost without them, and miss speaking to them every day. I realize I have only spoken about the people. The hotel itself is very comfortable and nice. Well appointed hotel-sized kitchens, REALLY comfortable beds - everything you could want in a place to stay. But at this hotel, it really is the people that make this place so special. If your hope when you travel is to feel welcomed and valued, this place is perfect. It is unlikely I'll frequently need a hotel in the city where I live. But if I ever do, or am recommending one to someone else, this place will be at the top of the list!

After restrictions were lifted in New York and a non-essential hotel stay was legal, a friend and I decided to take a staycation here from Brooklyn. I believe that under normal circumstances this is a top notch hotel. However, if you're coming here currently, you need to adjust your expectations. While the building was beautiful and the location was great, and the wifi and air-conditioning worked well, the hotel was understandably severely understaffed, and not coping well. There appeared to be only one employee there - the same one the entire weekend, poor guy - and I think he was overwhelmed. First off, in order to get into the building, even in the middle of the day, you needed to call the front desk on your phone in order to be let in. I understand the need for security, ideally there would have been a keycard or something - it was quite awkward and we spent a lot of time waiting in the heat. Secondly, regardless of what the website or your reservations tell you, for now there is no breakfast. Understandably they're not doing the breakfast buffet, but I assumed they had made alternate arrangements such as a boxed continental breakfast, but no. Only tea and coffee in the lobby. This would be fine if they had changed their writeup to reflect this when making reservations. Thirdly, when the tap in the tub was turned on, it spit out huge chunks of black corrosion. This was disturbing and suggested no one had run the pipes for months, even when checking the rooms to go back into use. Fourth, the tv was stuck on the welcome channel no matter what we did, suggesting that no one had authorized the tv, turning on service since there were guests in the room. Through no fault of their own, the hotel is less quiet than I think it usually is, because the restaurant next door, Harry's, is doing all of its service as outdoor seating and there was a loud private party there until after 11 pm. If you know this is what you're getting, you may be able to enjoy the hotel for what it currently is - well located, beautiful, and currently very reasonably priced. The beds are soft and the rooms are clean.

My boyfriend and I spent the night here awhile ago and we couldn't be happier with our stay. The hotel feels very sexy so it was perfect for our little staycation. We're right next to Times Square so we got to be tourist in our city. The rooftop is gorgeous. We had the king suite overlooking the street with wall to wall windows. It was a great change and escape from our tiny Brooklyn apartment. Would highly recommend for a sexy night in NY:) Also shout out to the GM Jeremy Poon if he's still there. Amazing hospitality from the bellman to the front desk to the housekeeping team.

1. Good location: 9/11 new building and Memorial Museum just outside the window. 2. Convenient for travel. It takes 3 minutes to walk to New York's line 1, 2, 3, E, R, W. Taking a taxi is also very convenient. 3. Good service: there are people in the lobby 24 hours, and a deposit of 250 yuan for 5 nights. 4. The room size is OK and the facilities are complete.

I was going to NYC to see Elton John and was to stay at The New Yorker. Well... neither happened. I had made non-refundable reservations but called the hotel to see if their policy would change during this crisis. Every person I spoke to was so nice and helpful. One person that really stood out was Neida Aldama, a supervisor at the front desk. She was incredibly kind and compassionate about the situation, and offered that my prepayment be used as a credit that I can apply anytime in the next year (hopefully if/when Elton John reschedules!!). I feel that this was very generous, given the fact that they had every right to tell me I was SOL. Neida even went so far as to call me to directly answer a question I had. I know that they are dealing with a lot and are working with a skeleton crew, so that phone call really blew me away. Thank you Neida and The New Yorker!

It ’s not the time to come out this time to catch the epidemic every day. This hotel is not cost-effective. The deposit is 600. Breakfast is basic for more than 100. Every night, the food is delivered to the room for more than 130. The 600 deposit is not enough. I ca n’t say that the deposit is refundable. The bathroom is super small, especially the shower and hand basin. What ’s wrong? Drop the ensuite sofa into the toilet. The sofa can be turned into a bed. I think the next time I go I will choose to live in New Jersey across the Madison River to see the buildings in Manhattan. It was so noisy that at least ten policemen were parked downstairs 24 hours a day.

I’m going to tell you a secret and you have to promise not to tell anyone. You can taste New York without New York money. How? The eminent Concorde hotel. I’m here now, writing this review. It’s midnight and the Upper East Side looks so beautiful from up here. This window is four times the size of my body and yet I feel so large. It’s all in the room, I think. It makes me feel like I’m Wilson Fisk. I'm Tony Stark. I'm Bruce Wayne upon Gotham. In this moment, I run New York. Wait a moment. Something caught my eye. I wonder why a single room light is on the 61st floor of the Bloomberg building? Is Mike home? You really need to see the Bloomberg building at midnight from this floor. What a view. Back to the Concorde. Every place is defined by its people, so let’s talk folk. All Concorde staff I encountered were excellent, from the courteous doormen to the tireless housekeepers. A few to note: the amiable Christopher Shepard, the efficient Rada Drascovic, the soigné Dukens Alexandre. They exemplify luxury hospitality. Meet them and consider yourself lucky. Look, we all agree that that hospitality in New York is a gamble, regardless of star ratings or thousands paid. Well, not the Concorde – it’s consistently well reviewed as far as excellence in customer service and I got to experience first-hand why. New York is not known for consistency in anything. I was impressed. Let’s now talk about the space. Understand that this hotel is less boutique and more New York history. It was born as a residential high-rise owned by a major airline to provide exclusive lodging to visiting crew. Keep in mind that corporations take it very seriously that the people flying their billion-dollar aircraft get the pinnacle of luxury for their night’s rest. So, you will too. The Concorde is designed with your comfort in mind. That’s why every floor only has four rooms. That’s why the beds are so soft. That’s why the soothing tones of mid-century modern mellow your eyes. That’s why I’m typing this with my laptop on a marble table top. That’s why… the bathrooms. Oh, the bathrooms. God damn. We’re talking bathrooms the size of a New York city studio. Professional vanity mirror taking up a warehouse chunk of wall real estate. Walk-in shower and soaking tub. That’s right - and. Have you ever finished a run in Central Park with a perfectly-temperature-controlled Bahamas waterfall of a chilled shower, soak your tired muscles in a home spa of a soothing bubble bath, then back to the Bahamas you go? I have. A bit about the amenities. Well, there’s the essential WIFI, but note that you can ask for a network cable for better Zooming or Teaming. 92 Mbps down / 94 Mbps up during my stay, by the way. My TV is quite big and has all the usual channels and music. A fridge (mind you, much mini) lets me keep a few refreshments cool for when needed. Finally, an iron and board in the room let me have my pilot uniform looking crisp for my flight out.
