From the beginning, I knew there might be an issue. First, the site wouldn't allow me to book a room for just 1 adult and 1 child, so I ended up having to book a room for 2 adults under the special offer that Accor was putting on for its members. That meant that I was overcharged for not only the breakfast that should have been free for my child but also the tax for my stay that my child shouldn't have had to pay. Despite multiple emails to the hotel, I never got a response, and when I came to the hotel, the night manager told/lied to me that children had to pay for the tax, which wasn't true. I'm still waiting to be reimbursed by the hotel. I spoke to the hotel manager who assured me that I would be reimbursed, so we will see if that really happens and when- I still have no response to my email about that either. As for my double room, it was clean but small- basic is the best word for it- and the hotel had no family rooms available for our family of 4, so while it might have been nice to have a foozball table and pingpong table for the kids near the reception, I wasn't surprised that there were no kids at the hotel since the hotel didn't really seem set up for that. Breakfast was ok, but the coffee from the machine was awful. I hope that service and quality will improve soon. At least it's not far from the tram line in case you want easy access to the stadium or the center of town.

CERISE Strasbourg is a standard hotel few tram stops away from Strasbourg’s centrum. Not too fancy, a bit away from everything interesting, which makes it calm and quiet place to stay in. The rooms are decent and relatively clean, but I did find some issues. When I got my room, the fridge was growing mold. Also the walls are weird. They have been coated in an extremely coarse surface. How coarse? So coarse that I have cut my hand twice on them, even drawing blood. My hands and even my back got really badly scratched before I learned my lesson. Just don’t touch the walls in your room and you are safe (weird thing to say). I like to sleep my back touching the nice cool wall, but that was impossible here. The staff are nice and helpful. Not the most bright, but nice. The brightness is related to my major complaint which is the regular in-room-smoking in the hotel. While smoking is prohibited inside, it was, if not a daily, at least a weekly nuissance for me. I complained about it half a dozen times to the staff, but I usually got an answer ”Impossible sir, it would have set off the fire alarm”. Some of the staff themselves smoke outside the main entrance, usually leaving the door open and the lobby smelling of tobacco. Not to mention it is not fun to walk through that cloud of tobacco smoke. Funny thing is that I had pictures of people smoking in their room, and the only intelligent staff member had confirmed it herself too several times. The staff don’t seem to be communicating too much as the other workers always denied it. There were other ”slow” staff moments too, but I’d rather not go into details and bore you to death. This did include misplacing mail and unable to open safe in the reception. I noted also several cases of blocking doors with laundry. I had to use an emergency exit at least twice as the corridor door was blocked by laundry trollies. Ultimately I submitted to my fate with the smoking, having a breathing mask handy as the smoking smell would regularly hit my room, and the corridor always smelled lightly of tobacco. Mercifully the air changes quickly in the room and the smell would not linger. A large shortfall is the lack of any recycling. A large hotel as it is, there is a lot of waste, but CERISE has no recycling whatsoever. All thrash goes to the same bin. I had a chat about it with the manager and he blames the city for the shortfall. Funnily I just happen to know one of the city waste management managers and he claimed that such a statement is a lie. So the hotel simply does not care for environmental aspects like recycling (does encourage water saving, but then again they save money that way). This is really unfortunate and gives a bad example. The most disgusting part was that the toilet does not always flush properly. Occassionally I had an unpleasant surprise, when the ”peppermint” had not flushed all the way and had then been stewing for a day in the toilet. I tested it a few times, and it seems the piping was bu

Fast, friendly and efficient check-in. Family room TINY, with no room for luggage. Almost impossible to move around - window could only be reached by climbing over the sofa bed (which, incidentally, was incredibly soft, lumpy and uncomfortable - suitable only for small kids). Modern bathroom with walk-in shower, but also very small. Carpets in hallways quite stained in places and someone had deposited a dirty diaper in a bin just outside the elevator on our floor, creating a breathtaking stench- didn't make the best first impression. However, room and bathroom spotlessly clean. Location good: the hotel is a 15 minute walk to the cathedral in the centre of town, so quiet but still convenient. The area around the hotel is much more attractive than we had anticipated, with a canal, a sort of biotope with ducks, swans and even beavers, exercise equipment, places to sit, kids' playpark and lots of young and older locals hanging out, pracising yoga, picknicking, etc. Unfortunately, the hotel is let down by its lack of compliance with its own anti-Corona measures, which are written up in various areas around the hotel. Despite a notice informing guests that no one would be entering our room during our stay and despite our "do not disturb" sign on the outside of our room door, our room was cleaned while we were out (we found this not only intrusive but also fully unnecessary since we were staying only two nights). Further, multiple signs in multiple languages in the buffet area (as well as verbal instructions at check-in) stated that masks should be worn at the buffet and that no more than three persons should be at the buffet at a time. These regulations were ignored by the majority of guests and staff made no effort at all to enforce them. No changes had been made to the buffet itself (bread to be cut by guests, cheese/hams taken from a large "shared" platter, etc. Tables did not allow social distancing when the dining area was busy: we were less than a metre away from the couple at the next table (who could technically have sat at the other side of the table but thoughtlessly sat where they would be closest to all other guests; they also wore no masks anywhere within the dining area, and helped themselves to a mountain of food from the buffet before deciding they weren't hungry after all and left it all sitting. The woman appeared drunk. I appreciate that there is little the hotel can do about the antisocial behaviour of some of its guests). The hotel was good value, clean and convenient but, as a family of four, we would probably choose somewhere else in the future if staying for more than one night and will certainly not return while the corona virus still presents a risk.

Close to everything, this hotel has a good location! The tram (line D) is at a couple meter from the hotel, but as I slept on the street-side I didn't hear anything of it. Very good noise-dampening windows (unless you leave them open of course). I had a very nice room, clean and functional. A spacious bathroom which was also clean. The breakfast is basic Continental but enough. At the reception people are friendly and helpful, what more can you want?

No service at all. The reception is only available till 7 pm. So if you arrive 30 min later there is nobody to acomodate you not even by telephone. We booked the hotel exclusively for the underground parking but as there is nobody at the desk you cannot enter the parking either. The streets around the appart hotel al full of cars and there is no spot early in the evening. It is also difficult to locate the entrance of the hotel. We had to ask the neighbors as it is an entry for the apartment complex and another entry around the corner for the hotel. Via de email at 18.59 hr you get a message that they leave a credit-card form key for you in a locker that you have to localise inside of the lobby. An old person will not be able to follow these instructions. We found the key but did not enter the room as we first wanted to get the car parked. But as the hotel parking is only open with a remote control you cannot enter if no one is there. The neighbors are nice and let you in, but Néméa parking is blocked by a barrier and you cannot get in. Inside the garage are warnings not to park elsewhere or you are transpassing. So we got so stressed that we decided to leave and book elsewhere last second. It was 20.30 hrs in the meantime and bookings via did not get through. We had to book in situ. All with all a lot of stress. The people from Néméa were not apologetic that nobody answers the phone after 19.00 hrs not even at 19.30 hr, when we called. You cannot arrange for a parking spot only on the arrival day upon arrival. They do not tell you this nor that it costs you 50 euro extra as deposit that you hope to get back. Either ways, Néméa is not willing to reimburse us. We will definitely never book with them again. And if you come by car, unless you can arrive prior to 18 hr (so that you can be sure you can arrange the parking) avoid this place as well. The area is not safe to leave a heavily loaded expensive car on the streets. Safety first! censors this review this is why we place it here❗❗❗

I stayed at OKKO for five nights and I loved it. I liked the fact that there were not many staff on your way, but they were available when you needed them. Check in was smooth and quick. The club area is very nice, and a great spot if you need to do some work at the hotel, like I did. The snacks and drinks are available 24/7 and the included supper is a big plus. Breakfast is ok, no warm food but you can boil eggs... there are fruit salads etc. I was expecting a better breakfast atleast for the Saturday I was staying, but it was all the same everyday, and pretty fresh and good. The bed quality was quite good and the room quiet and well- conditioned. I liked it that they gave me the option of a bigger room, or a better view. I guess it would be a wiser choice to go for more space specially if you are two, as the view is nothing too extraordinary. I enjoyed my stay and have nothing to complain about, hence I give the full score to the hotel. All the best guys, keep up the good work!

Rooms are nicely decorated, stylish design, as well as the bathroom. The bed comfy, however the pillow could be a lil more comfy, it was too bulky for my taste, still a good night sleep since our room was located in the back of the yard, very quiet. i loved the toiletries from Nuxe (milk and honey) and the morning coffee that i prepared myself was very good. Good experience, would stay here again, totally recommend it!

This was a great little hotel in Strasbourg with easy access to all the sights, close to the tram stop and very comfortable. We had a room with king bed and twin. The room was spacious and clean. While we were out touring and eating for most of our stay, the room was comfortable enough to lounge in at times. The staff was very friendly and helpful, despite our terrible French. Everyone was quite kind. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel because we wanted to explore other options, but we did have dinner one night in the associated restaurant and it was quite good. They also have a spa associated with the hotel, which we didn't have time to use. I would stay here again when visiting the area.

This was our second visit, so we were a little disappointed this time around. As a 3-star, it has some work to do. Especially in their restaurant...the staff seems a little off. For dinner, there was basically one waitperson for a full dining room. Our dinner came about 20+ minutes after a couple who came in with us and just before a couple who had come 20 minutes later received theirs. In their informal/bar section the next day, we were given two menus, but not told about their special plate. In fact, there were at least 3-4 servers for lunch....where were they for the dinner hour. This disorganized outfit may be catering to local crowd. I will look elsewhere for our next stay in Strasbourg.

My husband and I came for the Christmas Markets and stayed for one night. Do Not Stay in Room #001. Its on the ground floor and right next to reception. They will say it’s an upgrade but it’s more like a downgrade. We told them we were concerned that the room would be noisy and they guaranteed it was not. Well one night later we woke up to the stomping of guests as they parade down the stairs going to breakfast or checking out. You can hear and feel loud steps as well as suitcases being rolled down the stairs. The stairs are directly above the bed / the ceiling of the room. Right outside the bedroom door is where they keep tall metal rolling carts with laundry or housekeeping items. You can hear the carts being rolled around in the morning. You can hear the phone ring every time. You can hear the receptionist greet all the guests loudly. You can hear the doors slamming shut. When I mentioned that the room was noisy and we really could not sleep the receptionist said - oh that’s my favorite room. That’s because she is not sleeping in it. I suggested she sit on the bed while her colleagues run up and down the stairs. They should bring some luggage down the steps too and imagine if they can sleep through that. When we checked in they did not activate our key cards. They did not activate our WiFi. Both required separate trips to the front desk. Luckily the front desk is right next to us ! They were very busy telling us the room was an upgrade, the shower is Italian etc. The bathroom is large and nice. But I’m not sleeping in the shower. The breakfast is nice. I think if they are going to have guests in room # 001 they need to address the noise issue as everyone staying in that room will be rudely awakened.

Upon arrival I was warmly welcomed by general manager and the staff! I was upgraded by the GM which was an amazing surprise and i loved my room! The staff was extremely friendly! Especially that i traveled to Strasbourg right after the lock-down related to covid. The work done to make me and all other customers feel safe and comfortable was remarkable! All respect for the general manager who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality!

I stayed 2 nights at the Best Western Monopole Metropole in Strasbourg for a visit to the Christmas markets and was totally charmed by this wonderful hotel. The room was large and the bed was comfy, the staff were wonderful, and the location was great. It's situated just across the canal from the historic area, so room prices are reasonable, yet it's a short and easy walk to the cathedral, Petit France, etc. Plus the train station is not more than a 5 minute walk. The hotel's ambience is wonderful. All the modern conveniences with a beautiful breakfast room and an inviting parlor that includes a billiards table. I would definitely choose this hotel for another trip to Strasbourg.

It was our first covid hotel stay and the staff does everything they can to follow procedures- rooms are clean and limited housekeeping during the stay is upon request. Breakfast is one way system and no help yourself until there are pre-packed items. Restaurant and execution lounge are closed but maybe it is for the best so we booked deluxe room instead. As a small family we stayed in interconnecting rooms as suggested by the hotel which proved to be good value. Rooms are renovated with everything you may need incl fridge and ironing board. Please support this hotel to recover economically after the corona restrictions - they are doing a great job and have fantastic general manager who gives special attention to every guest and helps whenever possible.

First of all there were hairs on the floor and garbage in our bin when we arrived in our room. We wanted to use the pool (spa was closed, understandable during corona). The girl at the reception told us it costs 9 euros per person because it's with a reservation so there aren't more than 6 people in the pool. When we arrived at the pool on our given time, we were with 9 people in the smallest pool i've ever seen, we didn't dare to go in because you couldn't possibly keep a distance! That was a waste of money. But then the worst thing. When we booked the pool and our breakfast the day before, we asked if the receptionist could calculate everything we needed to pay after our stay already in the price with the pool and breakfast because we started our trip through the route des vins early in the morning. So we asked that we could leave fast and have everything already payed for. She was very friendly, we paid and she said that everything was payed for. The day we leave in the morning (26/8/20) the very rude girl at the reception told us we had to pay our room, we told her we already payed it online but she didnt't understand and kept asking for money for our room. After we tried to explain it about 10 times we looked for our papers and showed her. she told us that we then had to still pay our taxes. We told her that we already asked the girl the day before to calculate it in the price with the rest of our payments. She began to roll her eyes and pull up her eyebrows. We said we will pay again just to get it over with (quite agitated) but she continued to try to talk back in a really unfriendly manner. We tried to get it over with and pay, she didn't take the money right away and kept saying things that didn't make any sense. Finally we pay (at this point really annoyed) and she began to say things in a rude and sarcastic manner like "thanks for your kindness" while she was the one who was rude and didn't even try to listen the whole time. We NEVER had an experience like this, let alone leave so angry as we did. What a waste of money.

The Hotel Hannong is located within walking distance of the train station and centrally located but on a side street so noise is minimal. Yay! Service is excellent - everyone from staff at the front desk, in the restaurant for breakfast, in the bar and housekeeping are friendly and eager to please. We had a superior room on the top floor, which was quite roomy. The decor is very modern and felt Scandinavian. Quite a variety of tasty items to choose from for breakfast - and a juicer for fresh juice! Loved the wine bar as well - great selection and cool vibe. Will be booking again next time we go to Strasbourg.

I stayed for two nights in May when visiting Strasbourg. Decently priced and brilliant location - definitely the highlight of the hotel. Literally steps from the central station and just along from a Carrefour mini supermarket and McDonald’s (what more could one ask for?) it is well situated for both walking into the town centre, for tram rides or for travelling further afield by train. My room was comfortable, warm and clean. I did however notice the slightly poor condition of one of the walls in the room (see picture). Additionally, there was no soap provided, only the all in one shower gel and shampoo, even when I asked at reception if they had any hand soap 🤔 I also forgot my travel adaptor plug, so, hoping another British traveller might have left one behind, I asked at reception but they sadly didn’t have any to lend me. All in all though a good place to hang your hat for a short stay and an unbeatable location!

We spent one night in that quite new hotel. The room we got had a perfect view on to the cathedral. "Bathrooms" are small with just a shower and a sink integrated in the room itself. The beds are really one of the best we ever slept in. Our recommendation: quit the breakfast and search for a good one outside the hotel. Away from that: The hotel is perfectly located in the centre. The staff was nice and helpful! Merci!
