|1.49km from city centerGreat super clean hotel, super friendly owner, helpful staff, strategically located. Restaurant next door serves great food at economical price. Botanical garden, tibetian market n commercial Street are walkable. Other sight seeing places are easily accessible by vehicle. The owner Mr. Maria dass converses well and helps to finalise places of visit, also does his bit to keep the guests happy. If you are in Ooty go ahead with Hotel Carnation, it's the best choice within the city.

Restaurant provides good quality breakfast and amazing service provided by staff. Cleaning staff are on time and are doing an excellent job with house keeping. We had a very good experienced at Ponmari Hotel very relaxed and comfortable.

|0.67km from city centerStayed as a member between 17/3 and 19/3/24.Booked 2 rooms and my special thanks to front office ***agers for alloting balcony rooms 1030 and 31.This was my third visit and overall quality has been consistantly maintained.The balcony rooms have the best views of the garden and town below.Rooms r spacious well lit and clean.Both modern inside but maintaining the quaint British touch outside as a heritage property..Kitchenette is cramped without a sink to wash dishes for reuse.But good quality microwave and utensils r given.Gardens r well maintained even as rest of ooty was dry in March with minimal flowers and grasslands.Was a bit surprised at the restaurant where I found a big lacunae interms of experienced staff and chef.Though the inexperienced younsters did maintain courtesy,service and quality of food needs improvement.Usually leading CM resorts have great food and restaurant service. House keeping was excellent prompt and friendly.Situated in the heart of ooty town easy accessibility to all tourist spots is a plus point.Overall an excellent place to stay and relax

|0.94km from city centerWe stayed here for two nights on our four week tour of Southern India. We took the toy train for the last hour up to Ooty. It was fun but there were not the stunning views we expected. Ooty is being ruined by lots of building but the Savoy is still an oasis. The hotel is just what we expected and had wonderful touches of English traditions. The gardens in which the rooms stand were a joy in the cooler weather, so well tended by the gardeners and enjoyed by all the guests. After three weeks of heat and chaos we were reminded of our garden and cats at home and were able to really relax. Rooms were comfortable. The staff were lovely, the soups and curry excellent although we found the breakfast disappointing and the staff did not have a kettle to boil us water for tea, the water was lukewarm. It was a shame we could not eat anywhere outside, especially at lunchtime, the lights in the restaurant area were a bit bright.

Food was average
And some of the staffs didn’t pay attention to the room issues like
flash not working in morning ;
requesting to have breakfast during waiting time ( which looked liked a good gesture coz breakfast time was almost over and why to waste food but later asking to pay ( which should had been informed priorly )

|1.87km from city centerCaribean Holidays International booked premium room at sterling fern ooty for three days. When I reached the hotel at checkin counter I had to wait for 25minutes. Then Mr Anup Sing alloted us a classic room which was dirty then i raised the issue with my vendor. Sterling staff told me that they have all the premium rooms booked but i booked the room 15 days back so how can all the rooms be booked ? Later Your Staff Ms Jaya, Mr Shailander Pushkar & Mr Suhas came and helped immediately. They provided the premium room and also arranged the cake for us. Finally it was great experience because of Jaya.

|1.04km from city centerA cute little homely place with just 4 rooms, all neatly done up. Very good for a large family. The food quality is very good however the service was just ok in the absence of the regular serving staff. The sleep quality was average since light seeps in from the high ventilators which should either be covered or provided with dark glass shields. Mr Nagaraj, at front office was a outstanding ,all round multi tasking gentlemen who inspite of his age and physical limitation made us feel at home. He really looked after us very well during our 03 nights stay. Overall a satisfying stay. A suggestion.....Doormats be provided in front of every rooms.

|1.43km from city centerHotel location is good......Common areas are well maintained however the rooms are not as reflected in photograph on the website....Restaurant is not well ***aged although the staff is good but I feel there is a lot of scope for improvement. ...Buffet breakfast is good....Biryani taste was good....Food in general was good...Had to wait for more than 30 minutes for the hotel staff to transfer my luggage from room during checkout.....There was a lot of difference between the price as mentioned on trip.com and directly with hotel.....Trip.com was less for the same Privilege Suite....
