The view is beautiful and the service is good, but the check in is very slow. When booking, we said that we should check in before 14:00. We arrived at the hotel at 12.30 on the day. We waited until 3 o'clock to check into the room. Breakfast is not good, probably because there are more foreigners in the hotel, so the breakfast is not suitable for the taste of Chinese. There is a local village behind the hotel, where you can eat and buy snacks. We stayed for three days, except that we did n’t find the village to eat at the hotel on the first day. We went to the village for the next two days! It is recommended to stay for three days, it will be boring if it is too long and fresh. The scenery was really beautiful. On the first night, I saw the starry sky. On the second night, the sky was pink. On the third day, the sky was yellow. It rained during the day, but it is also very good to see different night views good job!

We picked Sunawaree based on previous reviews. The staff were polite and welcoming, the accommodation was clean and serviceable and the food was good. There is a free boat taxi from the main town at regular intervals and the taxi driver meets every ferry arriving on the island with a sign to Sunawaree. We chose to walk and it took maybe 25 minutes from the pier. The journey was slightly arduous, along a forest track but it is well lit if you’re waking at night. We’d recommend this place for couples willing to put the effort in. There are also sea kayaks available from the accommodation.

I had sent a courteous email to the resort asking to refund my stay before arriving as I was too ill to make it over from Koh Lanta, having to stay longer there after new year. The property didn’t respond to my request at all until I sent a chaser email through booking.com, in which they refused to give me a refund due to it being around Christmas and new year. Very unfair considering the circumstances. Zero empathy and like the rest of Phi Phi, complete money grabbers targeting western tourists.

I’ve been to Koh Phi Phi many times and stayed there months at a time for work, and throughout the years stayed in various places in various areas. These bungalows are by far my favourite. The bungalows are away from the hustle of the main town but a short (10 minute) walk so in the day time you’ll find it’s a very quiet and relaxing place to be surrounded by nature. Lots of reviews mention the music from the party beach, and yes, you can hear it until 1am when the parties stop. It’s nothing a pair of ear plugs won’t fix if you’re a light sleeper, and you will unfortunately have the noise in many different places in the main town. It’s nothing the hotel staff can do something about unfortunately, so just come prepared (or join the party!) You probably will encounter some of the resident wildlife during your stay. I stayed there 6 months and had a few surprises but again nothing dangerous or to ruin my stay. (Welcome to Thailand!) The walk up to the bungalows I won’t pretend is an easy one, but it’s a very short steep hill and countless times I reached the resort the reception staff have been on hand with an ice cold bottle of water to give to be. The way I see it is getting my daily exercise in here so I can spend the rest of the day sitting at the beach or in the bar! Staying at the bungalows also gives you a head start if you plan on going to the viewpoint or Nui bay (which I would also recommend). Going from bamboo hill bungalows takes you off the beaten track a bit more. The staff here are super friendly, and they keep the resort very clean and tidy.. especially considering it’s in the jungle. They always helped me with anything I’ve needed. If you’re looking for a cheap authentic Thai bamboo bungalow close to the main town but far enough away you can relax outside and enjoy the area then this is a great place. Of course it’s not a 5* resort so don’t expect to find that if you book. I can not recommend this place enough and will definitely be staying here again when I go back

Stayed at this hotel for a few days during our adventure travelling through Thailand. The room itself was a bit basic, but overall clean and tidy. The room had a balcony with an amazing view over Phi Phi's beach. The pool area was immaculate, also with amazing views over the beach. For breakfast we would highly recommend the hotels own omelette, which tasted amazing. One big reason for the recommendation of this hotel to other travelers, is definitely the amazing staff who are working at this resort. Especially the two ladies on the reception desk, who helped to organize a birthday cake from a local bakery for a 30th birthday surprise. They brought it in on the morning and it was definitely a great and an unexpected surprise after breakfast. Should we ever travel to Phi Phi again, we would come back to this Hotel. P.S bring some insect repellent when travelling to Phi Phi we got bitten a lot, especially during the night times.

Koh Phi Phi hostel reviews are not good to say the least and I searched for a while until I booked RC Guest house- so glad I did. Staff (Layla & my newly adopted sister" were lovely, super friendly and helpful. Only booked a couple of nights originally but stayed for 5 in the end. Just out of the main strip so quieter than most hostels, very close to a sandy and beautiful backdrop beach. Fridge, aircon, hot shower all worked well and water x2 bottles delivered every day! Felt safe leaving belongings in room as someone was about all the time and "sister" is great for chat and if you like food she was a chef! Great Thai cooking tips to take home. If i were going to return to the island I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Ps: also great pancakes opposite the hostel just up the little alley... enjoy!

Me and my boyfriend stayed at Chunut house as a little break from hostels during our backpacking trip around Southeast Asia. As we got off the ferry at the port we were greeted by a member of staff from Chunut house who was going to direct us to the resort and take our bags however as we had to wait for other guests we decided to just walk to Chunut house ourselves. Chunut house is in a perfect location, it is a 10 minute walk from the main port and 5 minute walk from the main street and nightlife. When we got to Chunut house we were greeted by happy staff who took our bags from us and showed us to our room. Our room was right by the pool and looked like one of the newer builds in the resort. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable however the shower was quite poor and wasn’t powerful. The staff at Chunut house were very helpful and attentive. We had our laundry done here which was 1kg for 50 baht. Our laundry was done the same day and it was reliable - we had all items of clothing back smelling nice and clean. Would definitely recommend a stay here it was everything we needed. Would return. However the shower does need improving.

I got off the boat in Ton Sai Bay, and the hotel staff picked it up at the dock, but it didn't seem to be always there. I didn't meet it last time. The location of Zhongka Hotel is relatively good. It is near Rodara Bay and two minutes walk to the beach. But the location is hard to find, and it is really hard to find if no one brings it. The hotel is economical and fast, with hot water and infrastructure, no breakfast, more like a homestay, far from the bar street, no noise at night when sleeping. However, the rooms are generally large and it is not recommended for hotels with high requirements. This beach near the hotel is my personal favorite. The beach is very clean, there are no people, and tour groups do not come here very much, so there are few people. If you get up early, you can basically contract the entire beach. When the tide is rising in the morning, the sea water is very clear and clean. You can come at this time without swimming. Canoes can be rented by the beach. 500B a day is very cost-effective, because the beach is in a bay, kayaking is safe and there are no big waves. If you are physically fit, you can draw a bay. To the left, you can go to the nearby monkey beach to play for a while. There are a lot of lemon fish and jellyfishes. You can snorkel and play with the monkey for a while, but pay attention to the monkeys. There is a small beach to the right. The water there is very beautiful, but it is far away and it is tiring to cross the bay. I was surprised to see a dolphin while kayaking, so excited! Speaking of the hotel, the hotel owner does n’t know much Chinese and needs English communication. Basically there is no service at all, just think of it as a domestic bed and breakfast.

Lovely little hotel situated in a great spot the middle of the island but away from the loud nightlife so very quiet when sleeping. Spotlessly clean, crisp and white, it looked really new. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful, they send someone to meet you at the dock too which is a great service. We had a room at the top which had a beautiful outside roof patio and felt so spacious and relaxed. Single beds were quite large and comfortable, tv had English channels, towels provided were soft and new, and essential toiletries were provided. The aircon had a quiet mode which was great when sleeping and it still worked great on this mode keeping the room cool. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Booked the supreme room, the door is the beach, you can sleep at night listening to the sound of the waves, but far from the front desk and restaurant, so did not go to breakfast in the morning, the hotel facilities are relatively old, because the surrounding is full of trees, so there are more mosquitoes. The hotel is far from the commercial area. It is recommended to bring some dry food and water. Choose to stay at the hotel for more than two days. Stayed here for 3 nights in June and had a lot of fun. Our room was clean and the AC worked perfectly. Bathroom wasn't the greatest however (had a private bathroom), the door didn't lock which wasn't really a problem but it's just weird as the shower is pretty close to the toilet. Water pressure was ok however. The hotel is on the beach, take a few steps and you're there so waking up every morning to that was really nice. Place gets intense at night. You're not sleeping before 2am for sure as the walls in your room will be shaking because of the music from the beach but you didn't come to Phi Phi to sleep did you? It's a cheap place to stay in Phi Phi so don't expect luxury but you'll have everything you need to have an amazing couple of days of partying.

We stayed at The White for 3 nights and found it to be a great stay! The room was very clean, the Wifi was good, and it had air-conditioning... all for an excellent price. And in contrast to other reviews, we found the staff extremely kind and hospitable. I was greeted by them nearly every time I left the hotel, and they were easygoing to bring us fresh towels when we asked. In regard to the location: this could not have been more in the hub of Phi Phi. It was walking distance to everything- shops, bars, restaurants, the beach, etc.- but yet was not too noisy (despite Phi Phi’s notorious reputation of being a “party island”). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it to future visitors of Koh Phi Phi!

My partner and I have just returned from our trip to Thailand. We spent 8 nights at the hotel. Prior to staying and from reading other reviews, we felt rather apprehensive about staying here although once we got to the hotel it was fine. The hotel is in a great location, close to the view point (the easiest way to walk up), close to the beach and restaurants but out of the way enough not to hear all the noise from the beach clubs. They have been rebranding the hotel and there was a little of noise after 9am as they were decorating the hotel reception area and stairs but we only used the hotel as a base to sleep and get ready for our day/ evenings out and slept well at night. The hotel room itself was new, very clean, comfy bed and had everything we needed for our stay. The shower pressure was good with lots of hot water, shampoo and nice smelling banana shower gel. The air con also worked well. The staff were friendly and efficient and when the card terminal wasn’t working they allowed us to come back later to pay for our stay. I have only deducted a point as we did not receive any communication that there was aesthetic work taking place in the lobby and on the stairs and it did worry us from Reading other reviews. The work looked like it was almost finished and I’m sure it will be great once it is. I would consider staying here again if we ever went back to Phi Phi as I felt it was good value.

The location of the hotel itself is convenient, but the stairs to each villa in the hotel are quite harsh. For children, middle-aged, and lazy, it is painful for women to return to the hotel or go out. We strongly recommend that you check with the hotel if you can get a room on a lower floor.

Me and a fellow travel companion stayed here for 1 night, the atmosphere and interior was very welcoming, but so were the bugs. In the room there were no visible bugs, but we had a feeling something wasn't right with a mattress sitting outside our door in the hallway. We didn't realise the bed bugs had got us until later the next day, and its a shame because the two lady staff were genuinely lovely people. At this point during my time travelling Thailand the ants didn't bother me anymore and there were a lot of them hanging by the coffee making station, but i did come across a standoff or should i say sitoff with a huge cockroach that walked in on me on the toilet! I do hope this problem has or will be sorted with the bed bugs, however i understand its quite a common problem, on the islands especially. I met countless people who had bed bug issues all over Thailand, however this was the first and only place during my time.
