2.14km from Hayashi HideoAt £75/night for a room for 3, this is a budget hotel. It's right in the centre, by the old city and overlooking the canal and Galeries Lafayette. The staff are on duty until 10am and then 4-8pm and are very helpful. A traditional marble staircase wraps around the lift cage to the three floors. Our room, at the end of the top floor, looked over the street but was mostly quiet. Beds were comfortable. Simple furnishing; a dresser and a drawer unit, plus bedside tables; a small fridge (which we didn't use) and heating/cooling from a responsive Aircon unit. Bit on the dim side after dark. Separate toilet room. The bathroom is divided by a curtain, curious but sufficient; all a bit dated in here, and the water took ages to run hot, but the shower was fine once it got there. Breakfast (7:30-10:00) definitely worth the €10, a good range of continental savouries and bakes, juice and coffee, cereal, hot and cold milk, in a pleasant breakfast room in reception with a view of the street. Door code access meant we could leave our luggage during the day until departure.
