|2.36km from city centerIt takes about 20min to walk from Notre Dame. Walk to eddy street for about 5min. The window looks out to Notre Dame. The surrounding environment is very quiet and suitable for a transition night.

|3.03km from city centerMe and several friends booked a couple suites at Ivy Court for the Marshall vs Notre Dame football game. Everyone that works there were extremely helpful and courteous. Jessica, Annica and Timmyka each went out their way to make our stay fun and memorable. Since all of us were traveling from out of town, we purchased the tailgate package also which was well worth it. We didn't have to pack up our own tent, chairs, etc. and the staff at Ivy Court set it all up and tore it all down. We just had to show up and tailgate. The breakfast is made fresh right in the kitchen next to the buffet. While we were there it had scrambled and fried eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, burritos, hot & cold cereal with break and muffins. It was a great set-up. Finally, you can't get much closer to the stadium and the walk over was 5-10 minutes. The location can't be beat either. Overall, it was a terrific stay at Ivy Court and in South Bend for the weekend.

|0.24km from city centerI was attending a conference at the Century Center, which is connected to the hotel. I had been here before and knew to pull in to the underground parking garage off of N Michigan Street behind the hotel. Ceiling clearance was crazy low! Watch out if you have a large vehicle or have a convertible (like me - oops getting the top down!!). Parking spaces are very very narrow and things are hard to maneuver in general. Upon arrival, the front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. Checkin was speedy and they explained parking right away. I found the hotel to be a little beat up. Paint scuffs on the walls, elevator buttons missing, curtains torn, and some fitness equipment not working. Needs some love. Oh, and there’s tons of advertisements and advance emails about hot cookies 🍪, but they must’ve been hiding because I never saw them and they were never mentioned once we arrived. Hmmmm… However, the room was clean and very comfy. Had some problems with the AC, but found if I set it as low as it would go (60), it stayed around 67 at night. Vending/ice was on every floor by the elevators, so super convenient! The room fridge ran extra cold - some of my things froze. Great desk space and WiFi. Navigating from the hotel to the conference facility via the skywalk was sketchy. Getting to and across the skywalk was no problem. But once you enter the Century Center, there is no clear signage to figure out where you’re going. The fitness center looked great! But there is no AC and the fans they had were broken. It was stifling in there, even for just treadmill walking. Some of the equipment was out of order, but not marked as such. Ugh. Anyway, a couple of tips: 1) I recommend getting a river view room. Rooms that overlook the atrium are noisy. 2) Avoid the 2nd floor - it’s where the skywalk is located and the hallway can be noisy. 3) Check to make sure your AC is working properly before unpacking. 4) If conferencing, be sure to figure out how to navigate the skywalk and the Century Center ahead of time. 5) If you plan to use the fitness center, bring a water bottle, towel, hand sanitizer, and plan to sweat!

|3.64km from city centerThe room is large, clean, the bed is soft, the condition is OK, the breakfast is quite comfortable, it is a hotel relatively close to the University of Notre Dame nearby, and it takes less than 20 minutes to walk through the grove to the school.

|4.7km from city centerI found this Hotel on my IHG app while looking for Hotels in the area. I was in the South Bend area for business and looking for a Hotel close to New Carlyle. The price for a one night was what closed the deal. This is a budget-friendly hotel with large spacious clean rooms. There is no 'breakfast' at the hotel but they have vending machines and many restaurants close by. I found a nice sized kitchen area, a large desk/work area, a large comfy queen bed, and a large bathroom inside my room. Overall my stay was good, but the rooms could use a touch of modernization. The rooms lack USB ports but they have electrical outlets around the room, so I was able to charge most of my devices. The Wifi connection was strong and I was able to connect through a firewall to my company server to check emails and update my CRM. I did find streaming was okay as well as I went online for Netflix and Amazon Prime and have no buffering issues. I would have given this property 4 stars but cleanliness was an issue. I found dirty smudges on the entrance door, cup ring stains on the nightstand by the bed and hair in the drain in my shower (yech!!). Aside from that, the bathroom was large and relatively clean with plenty of towels and full shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the shower. The Fitness room had enough equipment for a basic workout. It had cardio machines and free weights as well as some other accessories. I got in a good 45-minute workout with weights and the cardio machine and also did some stretching (ROMWOD) on the only supplied exercise mat. Would I stay here again...yes, as the price is right but cleanliness needs to be improved and I would like to see a touch of modernization with USB and maybe USB-C ports in the work area and the nightstands.

|5.67km from city centerWe stayed here while traveling on vacation. The beds are as expected of a Hampton Inn. The room was pleasant and spacious for the two of us. The room was clean and no bugs found. Breakfast was as expected of a Hampton Inn, and the only fault we could find was we had to wait 5 minutes for the waffle mix to be filled back up. We would likely stay here again if passing through.

|4.91km from city centerAfter Being left in a bind by a rental car company (Hertz) declining to deliver on my car I supposedly had reservation for, I got to spend several hours late at night at the S.B. Airport! With no solutions in sight, and Uber not responding, I started calling nearby hotels that were in walking distance or would come and pick me up at 10:30 PM on a weeknight! Although I was a little apprehensive at first, this hotel not only sent a van, they PICKED UP A PIZZA for me from across the street when Dominos had no Delivery people available, and would not allow me to come inside to pick it up! (They said they WOULD be willing to leave it at the back door for pickup) (They were closing due to no delivery drivers) The Manager of the Hotel went above and beyond to help me out, gave me a discounted rate for a two day stay (long story), and made my stay as enjoyable as possible!

|2.41km from city centerGreat location. But be aware: you cannot set your room's HVAC fan to always on. I like doing that to drown out noise while sleeping. You typically can do this in virtually all hotels, except this one for some reason. (And this is a relatively new hotel, built in 2010 and still in excellent condition. ) All the controls will allow you to do is to set the fan speed to Hi or Low, when the thermostat activates the unit. So, when the heat or AC cycles on, WHOOOSH!, it makes a loud sound, enough to wake everyone in the room. Your only alternative to get a decent night's rest is to shut off the HVAC unit and use your iPhone to play some YouTube background noise for 8 hours. Secondly, the non-continental options for breakfast are microwave turkey sausage or bacon with egg/cheese sandwiches. I have to say, they're heavily processed and so full of chemicals they have a weird dull flavor and aftertaste. Marriott needs to do better. *****Last thing: they charge you $11 per night for parking.

|0.05km from city centerDuring my stays at aloft South Bend on Main Street this month I interacted with many different staff members and all of them were friendly, happy, eager to help, and they answered any questions I had . One staff member named Kelsey went above and beyond in helping me. I also enjoyed the breakfast and dinner options here, the comedy show was enjoyable too. The hotel was well managed, clean, and organized. I will continue to stay at aloft because of my great experience here.

|4.96km from city centerWe were arriving to the hotel late, around 10:30-11pm. They had only one room left and the room smelled feces. If you are to sleep in the room, it would be the same as to hug a toilet that was not flushed after use. The front desk person informed us that they don't have any other rooms available and they cannot cancel our reservation either (it was paid in full already). We had no choice but to get out of the room and started looking online for another place to sleep. ”friendly” and ”welcoming” stuff literally kicked us out of the lobby where we were sitting searching for the room in the middle of the night. Not sure, why travelers sitting in the lobby searching for another hotel were such a problem for this ”respectable” establishment. The also closed the public bathrooms in the hotel, ie the only bathroom you could use was the bathroom in the rooms themselves for ”covid reasons”. Contacted priceline to get a refund next day, priceline representative told me that could not get a hold of a manager for half hour. Now, if priceline cannot get any accountability from them, think what service you can get as a humble traveler. No apologies, of course, I think they hope to keep all the money for the feces room we did not stay in for themselves.

|5.45km from city centerOverall, the lobby and general bedroom were clean and nice. The workout room was first class. The problem was the bathroom in our room was unclean. The floor had several hairs, tissue in the corner, and the shampoo dispenser pump was broken. Also, our door deadbolt did not work. I did not discover this until late that night. I informed the front desk the next morning. Instead of waiting until we checked out, the repairman came and repaired the lock while leaving our door wide open and tools in our bedroom..........kinda strange in my book.
