|3.46km from city centerWe've stayed here before. Our first visit wasn't the greatest but the location was convenient so we gave it another try. There were remodeling improvements in the overall room decor and buffet so the appearance was much improved since our last stay. The buffet area is small. I appreciated the staff member who kept the tables cleaned up and the buffet tidy. She was on the job, friendly, and checked if we needed anything. The location of the buffet is basically in the reception area with foot traffic going back and forth. If you are unfortunate enough to get a table next to the foot traffic, you have to deal with a draft from the front door. The food fare was standard. I'm gluten free so there were limited options. The room looked okay but the inside of the fridge wasn't clean, there were dried ring marks from someone's beverage still on the bed side table and there was a shampoo dispenser in the shower that was essentially empty. These little things make me question how well the room was cleaned. It took a while for the room to warm up and the bed covers were more appropriate for a summer than for a winter stay. There were no extra blankets or towels. We usually have no problems with the check in process and you don't realize how friendly staff is until they are not. The receptionist was almost sullen, and definitely not friendly. We were not greeted, not recognized as reward members, and barely acknowledged. She did not inform us as to our room number, breakfast hours, nor direct us to the location of the elevators which is typical reception protocol. The check out receptionist was just the opposite i.e. very friendly. Would I recommend staying here? I guess I could say it's ”clean enough” but not up to Holiday Inn Express standards.

|21.97km from city centerA lot of the rooms face the highway which is very noisy and is busy all day and night. I found the noise a problem when sleeping and we use sound machines. Also reserved a top floor suite, was given one on the 3rd floor, told my reserved room was not available. The guests above were noisy late and night and early morning, jumping, running, etc. Rooms need to be updated/refreshed. Carpet had a hole in it and looked worn/not clean. Same with walls and black grout in bathroom. Cleaning staff is very pleasant and helpful. Front desk was not and not always there or responded when you rang the bell. Tried calling front desk a few times, no answer.

|2.14km from city centerDirty sink - not cleaned, hair in sink Mirror not cleaned Tub/toilet dirty One trash can No Kleenex Two light sockets do not work Bed/ pillows linens have spots Countertops dirty, drink rings Microwave dirty Breakfast was not provided adequately during breakfast hours. Was out of food. Manager Kim telling me I don’t know why you would stay. Kim says she should have offered to put you in another room because we had other rooms available. No one offered me a different room and I was under the impression that the hotel was sold out with the football tournament. And upon arrival a bus load was checking in. Then manager keeps saying you shouldn’t have stayed. You should have looked for another hotel. Saying that it was my fault for staying and for cleaning the room. She offers to give me a $50 credit instead of refunding me for my entire stay. She made me feel like it all was my fault and I should have went elsewhere. I told her I did look for another place in my budget but other hotels were sold out. I then asked what was I supposed to do especially if your employee does not offer another room Change like she’s supposed to. The manager kept saying well that’s all your fault, I wouldn’t have stayed and I wouldn’t have cleaned that room. She said that room should have been out of service. She didn’t care about anything kept blaming it all on me when I was trying to do the best I could to make it work since her employees did not try to resolve the issues. I asked the employee at check in for light bulb before discovering the light sockets don’t work The employee tells me she doesn’t know where the light bulbs stay. I had to wait for manager to come in to get one. She was to busy with her boyfriend who was hanging out. I called customer service and they were worse offering me a free one night stay although I paid for two nights. Then rejected it after seeing the insulting $50 credit. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable for any hotel to treat their guests. No one who is the “victim” should be shamed for trying to make a very bad situation work given no one was willing to help and keep my business. Even with them still renovating this place for almost a year, it is horrible. Would never recommend.

|2.03km from city centerVery nice hotel, clean, bright and convenient, right on campus. Parking is $ 20, which is a bit expensive. UTK is much more beautiful than when I was studying, I like it. Cumberland Avenue in front of the hotel is wider and cleaner than before.

I’ve stayed here 3 different times and each one was very pleasant. I will continue to stay here on my trips to see my son while he is in college it’s not far from him and has plenty of restaurants and a few things to do that is within reasonable driving there’s even a bowling alley right down the road. Definitely a great place to stay and very reasonable priced

|16.09km from city centerEvery employee I ran into was my incredibly kind and helpful, and it was sincere. about it. I’d come back just to say hello! I needed assistance with printing a document, and the staff went above and beyond to help. I’ve been places where helping a customer was a nuisance, but the employees acted as though it was a blessing to be helpful. I really enjoyed my time. Also, I slept like a rock, so it can’t get much better!

|6.3km from city centerMy wife and I stayed here one night, March 26/23, on our return home from Florida. This is very convienient for people travelling on I75, easy off and easy on!! The room was very spacious and had light housekeeping in room. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The on thing that was a little funny was the tiny TV. Not a problem for us as we were tired after 12hrs on the road. The price was VERY good in comparison to other nearby hotels. i.e. less than $100.00 all in. I would stay here again and will put on my list of good places to stay in future.

|0.36km from city centerThis was our best hotel stay in ages. We were checked in by Natalie, who was friendly, helpful, and just fun. She made sure to get us a quiet room and made sure we were clear on how to get to our evening's destination. Our room was comfortable and well appointed. The wifi took a bit of finagling to get connected, but once we got it connected, it stayed connected and worked well. We slept soundly and comfortably, waking up refreshed. Check out went smoothly. We'll return if possible.

|0.94km from city centerThis hotel has all the makings for a premier city hotel: location, being adjacent to the convention center, as well as downtown restaurants and more; the appearance is very nice, from the lobby to the room itself; and the staff shows that approach to service one looks for when traveling. All of this and more, and it sounds like we are headed for a nice quality stay: But not so fast…. The Good: The lobby is simply beautiful, with clean modern lines, but still giving that welcoming feel. The front desk help was simply amazing: Abbi and Abbey were genuinely friendly, knowledgeable and prompt: Enjoyed my conversation with them, and the valuable information learned. And of course there’s Ed, an older “guest relations”type gentleman, who greets everyone with a complimentary glass of champagne; and somehow remembers the names of each and everyone he speaks too; remarkable. The rooms are modern and inviting; even the bathrooms have a nice upscale feel to them. So far, I’m overly impressed, especially in this price range…. But The Bad: Not a deal breaker, but when opting to pay more for a room with a view, we didn’t exactly get one from our 3rd floor room. A friend of ours booked a normal room, and ended up on the 5th floor with a view; and for much less money. Feels like paying for an upgrade is a waste of money. Also: Off n on during the night, emergency vehicles were blasting up n down Henley Street with the sirens blaring. I certainly understand being in the city, you’d expect this on a normal basis; but the walls of the hotel certainly showed their thinness. These sirens were very loud, and we weren’t even in a room facing Henley. This isn’t the fault of the hotel, but still worth noting. And then there’s the $28 fee for valet parking(no self parking). It just seems a bit much in my opinion. The valet guys do a nice job, so I’d rather tip them more, as to see the hotel charge this much. The Ugly: I hate to find anything that qualifies as a deal breaker, but… We returned from dinner, and couldn’t get the tv to tune in: I’m not sure why it said “no signal or connection”… No big deal, as we were worn out from all the youth basketball games we attended, but it would’ve been nice to at least watch a few mins of something. But the one major letdown I cannot overlook, was an A/C unit malfunction. We woke up to a pool of sweat, and called the front desk. The gentleman showed up, looked at it, and said he could have engineering look at it at 7am. Well, not sure what he thought we’d do for sleep, as it was simply too hot to just doze on off: And strangely and disappointingly, no one ever followed up the next day. Of course this type of hotel design doesn’t have windows that can be used for ventilation, so there was no relief period. I don’t think either of us rested much if any, so it pretty much ruined the entire stay. Things happen, but maybe an offer to move us to another room, which wasn’t an easy task in the middle of the night,

|16.63km from city centerFirst of all let me say the smell when you walk in that greets you is curry. To the point it burns your nose. Certain parts of the hall smelled like a litter box. Rooms needed updated. Barely hot water with no pressure. The mattress was outdated. Would only stay if no other place available.

|13.57km from city centerWe just stayed one night on our way to vacation, but the hotel was good. It looked like they just renovated, but kept some older appliances like the mini fridge and the microwave, but they still worked well. The only bad thing I have to say is that the sign up front and website say free continental breakfast, but they don’t offer it due to Covid.

|0.61km from city centerThis hotel was a very beautiful hotel with nicely furnished rooms and nice amenities. The hotel has a complimentary breakfast and evening reception. The hotel is near restaurants, shops and entertainment. All hotel staff were professional and courteous. The only issue I experienced was parking, I did valet parking on the first night but a front desk employee told me that free parking was available on the street after 6:00pm and before 8:00 am. She neglected to tell me on special event weekends cars must be moved by 5:00 am. She was not informed and apologized for the error but my car was towed at 5:20 am. Hotel valet parking is the best option in most cases.

|13.15km from city centerWorst motel I have ever been too!! First, it’s tucked way back and hard to find. The parking lot is very dimly lit. Lots of shady people circling in the parking lot. People listening at the doors of the rooms in the middle of the night. The room was so bad we showered and left. The bathroom was disgusting. The shower curtain Was ripped and caked with mildew. The beds covers had burn holes, the pillow cases were dirty, the smoke detector was broken off of the wall. The AC didn’t work well and the room was hot and muggy. We asked for more towels and we’re only giving 2 because that’s all they had. The lamps didn’t work, the floor was gross that my daughter had to through her socks away. And a big crawled out from the bed. While my husband was packing up the car, my husband grabbed something to defend himself due to the strange activity that was taking place. Please please don’t stay here!! It is not safe!

|17.47km from city centerThis hotel was great, right in the middle of everything to do and see. The employees were great. Laura and April were so nice at the front desk and made us feel right at home. The room was so spacious and clean and bright even though it was a very cloudy day and then the rain was so bad and there a space to pull right up to the front. I will definitely stay at this place when we return to Knoxville. The breakfast was so good also with so much variety.I just can't say enough good things about this motel. You will be very happy you stopped and stayed here. The bed was nice and comfortable.

|1.24km from city centerJanice, formerly known as ”Strephanie the Old Fashioned Queen” provided service, attention, and delicious drinks to a degree that most hotel bartenders would dare to travel to. Janice had looks. Janice had sex appeal. Janice was punctual, most of the time. However Janice had skills that would put East Tennessee's best bartenders to shame. Her attention to detail was undeniable as seen in the large, delicious, smooth ice balls in my old fashioneds. I once saw a man walk up to Janice, hold his empty wine glass up to her, and say, ”more please.” Janice filled his glass promptly, way past where I would've filled it, and accepted a $56 tip. Great work, Janice, for an average Pinot Grigio. That guy was a total tool, though. Janice was ”Bright as a Button” and her smile radiates throughout the bar...and my dreams. I'll miss you, Janice. Until next time, 8:55 will always be a memorable time in my heart. You know why. Ring my bell, Steph, ring it.
