Stayed here for a week with two friends. I'll start with the positive things this hotel had. Great location, the neighborhood seemed safe and had plenty of restaurants nearby. Across the street you could see the Dragon's gate entrance to China Town. You could get in less than 10 minutes (walking) to the Moscone Center. Union Square is just a couple of blocks away. It includes the most basic of breakfasts: either a bagel or toasts with cheesecream, butter or jam. They also had apples and oranges, orange and apple juice, oatmeal and coffee and tea,, but that's basically it. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean, it had one small room with the bathroom, a small closet and a sofa bed and one room with a full bed and a handwash. The cleaning staff worked daily and I have no complains over the cleanliness. The staff was pretty cool too, they had great manners and were very helpful. Now, the negative part is that our room was in the second floor and there's a club in the first floor, son on friday and saturday sleeping was a nightmare, everything vibrated and there was heavy noise until about two or three am, they don't specify that on the website. I would go back since the price seemed right for what we got.

Let me preface this by saying that I travel to SFO for work on a regular basis, and have stayed in plenty of the boutique hotels in this area. This is the first time I've been motivated to write a review. On the plus side, the hotel is just up the block from the Dragon Gate, and is close to market St. Their lobby is nice. Upon opening the door to my hotel room, I noted that the door almost hit the bed. My first words were "what the..." as I could not see a bathroom, and was filled with dread at the idea of a communal bathroom. But my worries were allayed when I realized that I couldn't see the bathroom, as it was behind the door I'd opened. The room, such as it was, was barely bigger than the full size bed. 3 feet of clearance between bed and door, and about 2 feet at the front and far side. As its SFO, I didn't expect a big room, but this was basically a walk in closet with an attached bathroom. The bathroom actually felt bigger. Now, bear in mind, I stayed here for 6 nights. The first night wasn't too bad, I was dead tired from traveling. Over the next 5 nights, I discovered how bad a hotel can be. The mattress was about as soft as 2x4's. To the point that sleeping on it was physically causing me pain. I ended up sleeping on the floor some, and also piled my pillows into the bathtub, and slept there too, trying to avoid the bed. I even went so far as to consider running to target to purchase a 2 inch memory foam topper, to try and make the bed reasonable. I skipped it and stuck with the tub. Over the course of my stay, I also discovered how uncomfortable a room with zero air movement can be. Sure, no problem, no AC. I get it. but a ceiling fan would have been nice. Anything to shake out the air in the room. It was this lack of airflow that led me to open the window, which I maybe shouldn't have. Over the weekend, late at night, I was lulled to sleep (in the bathtub), by the sound of hookers moaning in other rooms. And when you say to yourself, "It couldn't be that bad..." I was able to hold my phone up to the bathroom window and translate some of the things they were saying in Chinese, with google translate. It was a definite moment. So, to summarize, the lobby is nice. The staff is very friendly, and the hotel is in a great location. The bed was atrocious, and the hookers outside were hilarious. The bathroom water pressure was actually quite good, and the pillows were fluffy. Overall, given my experience, I wont be staying at the grant plaza again. It took 2 hours of deep tissue massage to work out the wreck that was my back after sleeping here for 6 nights.

The Urban is a neat little place, set above Starbucks. It's walkable from Powell Street BART station, although uphill. Please do not walk up via Stockton, as it's a huge upwalk as well as about 30 steps upwards when you come to the overpass at Bush - not desirable when pulling luggage. Much better to walk up via Grant Avenue and turn around at the corner. Overall Urban was clean with modern furniture and, with clean(ish) bathrooms and toilets. The room, though small, was comfortable with a bed, writing desk and a huge refrigerator. Coffee and tea is available in the pantry / seating area. There's a Starbucks directly downstairs, food in close proximity, and a Target 500 metres away on Bush and Sansome. Urban was quiet in itself, but since my room faced a street with the Triton Hotel restaurant (?) opposite that closed at 0100 hours. You can hear loud conversation as well as rubbish trucks in the early hours.

If 2 adults stay, remember to book a twin room, free coffee in the first floor lobby for 24 hours. boiling water

The location is really good, located on the top of the mountain! The room is very spacious! Ritz's service is super five-star! Both the valet car park and the luggage delivery and collection service are very good! Before leaving, I asked us how many bottles of water we need! I also gave crayons and paper to my daughter to play with 😄 I love it! Here is a special praise for Ctrip's service! I originally booked another two-room hotel but I had no choice but to arrive at the hotel in 1 hour and was notified that the hotel is full! The staff of Ctrip kept talking on the phone and then paid me the full payment for the room! The service is really good!

Stayed here after our flight was cancelled. The room for 1 night was expensive considering we booked so last minute and it is quite far away from where you want to be in San Francisco. The surrounding areas of the hotel (especially 7th street) is full of homeless people and drug dealers. It was quite scary walking back to the hotel at night. If only the hotel can be picked up and moved location because the hotel itself is nice. It’s very quirky and well decorated, iron board and iron in your room, big comfy bed, clean rooms, someone on reception 24/7 when we were there. Negatives to the hotel is there is no lift (and no rooms on the bottom floor) so you will have to carry your suitcases up the stairs which is minimum 2 flights to get to 1 floor. If stairs are an issue defintaley don’t stay here. The rooms are also noisy because of the activity outside. It’s about a 20/25 minute walk to union square but again because of the location it’s not a pleasant walk. The hotel itself I would give 4 stars if the location was better. Overall though I would not stay here again purely because of location and activity happening around the streets of the hotel. Also don’t see how they can justify the price for 1 nights stay.

1. Older hotel, geographical location in the city center, but also make do; to the United States to stay first, thinking that the US hotels are relatively old, after the travel comparison, I know that this is the most general, the facilities are relatively old, but there is no hard injury; 2. In the city center, there are many wanderers around. I bought breakfast early in the morning, and I slept a lot in the nearby streets. I met three people who asked for money, so I need to have some change. 3. Parking is expensive, but there is a parking lot next to it, 35 dollars all day, relatively cheap;

No breakfast, I asked about the parking fee of $ 80 a day before picking up the car! Good location, there is a living supermarket in the basement opposite, fruit and bread are available, basically OK! (Even if there is a large supermarket, there are not many kinds of fruits in China.) Stayed 2 nights! The happiest mobile phone window can be opened, although it is not very large, the opening with a large palm is sufficient for ventilation! You can call the kettle and slippers!

advantage Old hotel, cleaned fairly clean. The location is next to pier39 attractions, it is very convenient, parking has its own garage, relatively safe, and public parking across the road is also convenient. Disadvantage When I checked in, I was charged a service fee of 22 dollars per day. It is mandatory and non-refundable. I didn't see this on Ctrip, so please pay attention when booking the hotel. Secondly, in Downtonw, San Francisco still has a lot of homeless people and goes out at night, so I was taken the initiative by Xiao Hei in front of the store.

San Francisco law and order is not very good, so I stayed in San Francisco for two nights, checked in the day before and left my luggage in the hotel. The location of the hotel is very good. It is in the city center of San Francisco. The front desk staff is also very enthusiastic. I asked for a higher floor. The front desk staff was very happy to arrange it. A credit card deposit of $ 50 If there is no problem, I will return to Cali. The room facilities are also very good, much better than domestic chain hotels. The arranged rooms have a wide view outside the window. The check-out time is before 12:00 the next day. Need to make a round, just talk to the front desk. The room rate is C $ 100 for Ctrip, which is slightly more expensive, mainly on Christmas Eve. There is a parking lot, but the parking fee seems to be more expensive. Haha, we did n’t rent a car that day, we only started renting the next day. No breakfast at the hotel. Nicely renovated rooms make like SoMa hotel a great spot for exploring the city. Kudos for excellent in-room coffee and well-appointed bathroom, plus great WiFi and in room A/V. It's typical of the W brand, sometimes trying to be a bit too trendy for it's own good, with a loud bar scene in the lobby every evening. The hotel restaurant serves a decent breakfast, though there are much better options nearby for dinner. Functional and convenient with friendly staff, nothing exceptional but a solid mid-range choice for San Francisco.

1. Excellent location, no more than five minutes walk from subway station. The two blocks are Union Square and Macy's. It is basically flat and gentle slope. 2. The lobby is a bit noisy, but it shows the popularity of the hotel. 3. The rooms are spacious and clean and reasonably furnished. The only problem for me was that the refrigerator didn't work and there was no kettle. 4. Gym facilities are relatively complete, and equipment is also a first-line brand. There are more people going in the morning, and they are free at night. 5. It was said that there were nomads around. I stayed for three nights, and I made a few laps outside after nine o'clock in the evening. 6. When checking in, the front desk will recommend upgrading the room. From $ 60 a night, I talked about $ 30. I don't know if it has been upgraded, and said that the room given to me was cityview. Actually I don't know what room I originally booked. But one thing, we arrived at 12 o'clock and arranged the room directly. If you don't upgrade, you'll be required to store your luggage first, and then go outside at three o'clock. 7. When I checked in, I paid cash as a deposit, but when I checked out, I returned all the cash to me, and another 75 USD was used as a security deposit. 7. I have to buy another breakfast. I took a look. There is nothing delicious. There are many restaurants around. You can choose any. Opposite is where the major car rental companies return their cars. You can park at the door of the wine at zero hour. When I leave San Francisco, I go to Alemo across four blocks to pick up the car and pick up my family.

The hotel is really close to Fisherman's Wharf, two streets away, and it takes 5 minutes to walk. Because I saw the parking charges of the hotel in advance, there was no car rental. I picked up the car at 8 am on the day of departure, so I went to the nearby Chinatown. It was Uber 13 knife, had a Chinese meal, and then I took my father who was 70 and walked back to the hotel for more than 20 minutes. My lover took the child to Jiuquhua Street and walked back to the hotel in 40 minutes. For young people It's not far away. The room type we ordered was not large, and the double bed was a bit small, but there was a small sofa bed, which was barely dealt with. The breakfast at the hotel is bread, couscous, fried sausage, bacon, milk with chocolate, low fat, non-fat, all in boxes. I like this, they are replenished in time and can be taken back to the room. The best breakfast in the 6 hotels in the United States, but still can not compare with the buffet breakfast in Chinese hotels.

The infrastructure in the hotel room is actually very general, with more than 500 people per night. Even the standard of the hotel with an average price of more than 200 in China is not up to standard. The price in San Francisco is really high! The appearance of the hotel and the design of the lobby are OK. If you just have to sleep, you have to bring your own toiletries. However, the location is still very good, go to Union Square and take a bus, just walk about 10 minutes. There are also convenience store supermarkets and small restaurants nearby, all within walking distance. I didn’t go there before I heard that the city’s security was bad, but in fact, a girl who was still shaking outside at 11 o'clock every night did not feel terrible. Just pay attention not to go dark or narrow, tramp and mental illness. More, but people will not actively attack people, fear to go around. The hotel has a buffet breakfast, mainly bread and fruit and simple drinks. Each floor has its own table, oranges are delicious, it is a California sweet orange. However, the free wine from 5 to 6 o'clock every night is not for the traveler, because they are playing outside! In short, as a resting point, not demanding quality, the hotel is still good value for money, mainly in the geographical location!
