Serena was great at check in. I am a diamond elite member and once again, could not get an upgrade as is suppose to be one of the perks of this status. Seems I book the king suites, and the upgrade would have been to a jacuzzi suite. So here is a tip for anybody with Wyndham rewards, book a regular room and HOPE you can get an upgrade to a regular suite. Now for the nitty gritty. WIth a lot more gritty than anything else. I was here for a week. The hallways were clean, there are slot machines in the lobby and the front desk sells beer. The hotel was quiet except for one night when there was a couple fighting in the hallway. The breakfast was the continental type with muffins, juice and make your own waffles. One of the elevators always got a kick and a bang while passing the third floor, which was a little unnerving. The room itself was in need of a very good cleaning. I was in a smoking room, my choice, but lordy, at least clean the windows once in a while. I am providing pictures of the glass cleaning wipes I used to clean the windows. It's pretty sad when a guest has to clean their own room before unpacking, which I did. The counters, drawers, desk and coffee tables all had crud on them. The fridge had 3 inches of ice in the freezer, the coffee maker was old and worn out with old coffee still in it. I bought a new one and left it behind at check out. There was no alarm clock, and none available at the front desk. Bought one. So far, even though the room was a little less expensive than others in the area the added expense of coffee maker and clock shouldn't be something a guest would have to put out. The walls were dirty in many areas, including the bathroom, where there were clothing size stickers on the door frame. They only give you two bath, hand and wash clothes that are small, worn and itchy. There was splashes and build up of gunk on unwashed walls throughout the room. The carpet was clean though. The desk was wobbly, but it had two outlets build right into the side of the desk, which was nice. The bed was comfortable, the sheets decent and two huge pillows that were great. Reading lights are mounted on each side of the bed, and additional lighting throughout the room made it bright enough to work. I liked the style of the drawers, with auto 'soft closing' mechanisms, but again, dirty on the inside and on the top. The heating unit was not too loud and worked well. Black out curtains, other than dirty closed well and worked fine. As I was putting on my shoes I notice a hole in the wall between the sleeping area and the bathroom. Checked the other side of the wall and found that it was a bullet hole. I wonder if the 'no guns' sign at the front doors in the lobby were put up before or after what ever happened in this room. The hotel has security that patrols the parking lot, which is a plus, and the lot is well lit, much needed for this area of town. But they really need to have someone clean up the lot daily sin

We were here for just one quick night to get some rest to continue our trip to Buffalo. This is the worst Motel I have ever stayed at in 45 years. I wouldn't even take pictures because I can't be that mean to somebody. The carpets were garbage the bed was horrible the bathtub was all chipped and cracked the toilet seat was not even connected to the toilet. It smelled so bad. We were just so tired we jumped on top of the bed in our clothes got 3 hours of sleep and got the hell out of there. We got this room through Priceline and they will be hearing from us very soon. I want my money back. Look at the room before you rent believe me you won't stay there. I suggest close it down.

1. Marriott members can use Wifi for free. This is no problem, but the front desk should invite customers to become members. It is not for us to call in the room. 2. Bellboy did not mainly provide help with moving luggage. 3. Every day the cleaning staff knocks on the door and then enters the room. The root door has no time to react and she comes in. Security and addiction are extremely poor. 4. There is no kettle in the room. In the -12 degree weather, you need to call the guest service to have hot water to provide warmth. 5. The room is large and tidy, because it is too close to the opposite building, so there is no landscape. The whole experience is not to live in the JW series, but a 3 star hotel.

The hotel has a good location, just beside Michigan Avenue, and convenient to all major attractions in Chicago. The hotel environment is also very good. It is quiet and clean. The space is large enough. There is sufficient hot water supply, but there is no hot water to drink. We brought our own heat The most distinctive feature of the kettle for boiling water is the hotel’s robots, which can deliver water and daily necessities, which are available on demand, great! We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but there are many restaurants around, which are very convenient. The waiters in the hotel are very good and the service is very warm and thoughtful. Our trip felt very good, the price was affordable and the process was comfortable!

Business trip, the hotel is 20 minutes walk away from the meeting place, very convenient, the hotel is fairly clean, hot water is provided. The hotel is close to Chinatown and there are supermarkets and small Chinese restaurants nearby. The consumption is not high. Close to the subway station, a few minutes. The only drawback is that it looks like the countryside, a few kilometers from the city center, but it's a thousand miles apart.

The location is next to the Netherland Theatre, a few hundred meters away from the Millennium Park. The location is good. The large 34 square meter room is spacious. Prepaid is good. If you pay by credit card debit after you leave the store, the information is lagging behind. Hotel prices vary from day to day, and the same room may double the price difference. Don't spend money. It is the most economical to buy sandwich milk from your own supermarket.

This hotel is a fine property - but it is NOT set up for people who have cars and intend to valet them. There is no provision for anywhere to stop and go in and check in, no signs indicating that if you are going to valet that you need to drive to another street, and no valet attendants on station when you get there. I have no idea how the management of this hotel has process mapped the customer experience when using the valet is concerned. We got to the hotel location at about 8:00 p.m. and there are obviously not going to be any spots as far as street parking anywhere near the hotel to even be able to walk in. So, having gone around the block twice, I finally decided to pull in to where there was a sign for a valet for another Marriott property (Residence Inn). There are no signs there saying what you should do, nowhere for a car to be parked to wait, and no valet attendants there. Finding my way into the hotel I told the person at the desk that I had a car to valet and she absolutely jumped into the situation, went outside, and coordinated with the valet and ultimately got things under control. However - while this was going on there were people coming up to my wife who was in the car and telling her that if she didn't move it from the alley behind the hotel that they were going to tow the car. As a customer, it appeared to me that that had been not a single thought given to "So, when a guest comes in with a car to valet - what do we expect them to do?" Leaving was a very similar unpleasant experience. I called down at 12:40 to have my car brought around and was told it would be 20-30 minutes. We went down to the lobby a few minutes after one, and were told where the valet staff would come in when the car was there. 20 minutes later (40 minutes after we called down) a valet attendant came in looking for another car that I could hear the front desk staff had taken a call for while we were waiting downstairs and when I asked the valet attendant about mine, he said "Oh, I'll take care of it." So it appeared that my call had never been relayed to the valet staff. At 1:30 (50 minutes after I called down for it) I had my car. The hotel is nice enough, and I'll be the first to admit that as a guy in his 50s with a car, I'm probably not their target demo. I get that it's located in as urban an area as you'll find, and that parking is really, really tough. So just communicate to me that "You know, this might not be the best fit for you if you're bringing your car." That way if I decided to still do so, I'm the one making that call. But either way - if you are going to offer valet parking at your location, it seems to me that you have to put some thought into how your guests are actually going to - you know - USE it. That's the only complaint I have - but it provided a lousy experience both checking in and checking out, and thus taints the entire stay there. If I ever were to return, I would only do so if I didn't have a ca

I had booked a last minute trip to Chicago's Virgin Hotel to spend some time with my daughters. From the first minute we walked in the service was impeccable. This continued throughout our stay everytime we walked in or out of the hotel (many times). The location was perfect to shops, restaurants, Riverwalk, beautiful architecture, and many other visual attractions. The only downfall to our visit was it was Covid season and many restrictions to places we could go to watch the football game and/or eat as the restaurants were all closed in the hotel. That was a safety issue for the guests so it was appreciated they weren't open. The one thing I'd recommend is for them to have a list of what was open nearby and what was offered (dine-in, delivery, take out, etc.). We were able to find places on our own, but it would have saved us the time from searching/calling around. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel!!

I can't even say enough about how great the Moxy in Chicago was! We arrived way before our check-in time because we had an early flight. Since our room was not quite ready yet, they held our bags for us while we walked around the corner to get a bite to eat. They had our room ready for us at noon which I believe was 4 hours before our actual check-in time. The atmosphere was fun and casual, which was right up our alley. There are games scattered around on the tables which I thought was fun and there is a 24 hour taco joint attached to the hotel as well. I think I tried almost all of the taco choices and they were great! Kylie at the front desk is so sweet and helpful and so was Ellen, the assistant manager. The bartenders were super fun and always willing to give a suggestion on things to do. When we travel, we typically like to see what the locals enjoy doing and every suggestion they gave us was spot on!! I really wish I could remember all of the bartenders that helped us, but I remember Brandon and JJ right off the top of my head. We will definitely be back to the Moxy next time we visit Chicago!

Recently spent two nights here on a college trip with my daughter. Chose this because i was looking for a place in a neighborhood outside the tourist areas, that was cheap, and relatively well reviewed. Pros: Regular neighborhood outside the tourist areas. Relatively new. Funky sports theme. Fairly inexpensive. Parking outside at not crazy price. My teenage daughter dug ther funky vibe and cafe in the lobby. Content teenager is kinda cool. Cons: Small rooms. This is true of any place in Chicago. We had bunk full beds -- it was fine for two, but would've been crowded fsoor three or more. Housekeeping was odd. When we got in our room their were fitted sheets on the bed but the flat sheets were just folded and left at end of bed. So we had to make the beds. Second night they took away the flat sheets and put on 2nd fitted sheets. Had to call for new flat sheets and make the beds again. The housekeeping thing fits with the general "upscale youth hostel for families" vibe. If you want skyline views, this isn't your place. It's two stories bordered by an alley on one side and the El on the other. Our room faced the alley...we could hear the El but it wasn't a problem. I'd consider staying here again if I was coming back with my teens who would line the non-traditional vibe. It's clean, new and a good option outside the typical high-rise tourist haunts with overpriced parking.

I was recently staying here for a wedding. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfy. It was perfect for what we needed it for and we all slept very comfortably. Best of all, I had family things come up and needed to leave a day early, I did have advanced notice but Expedia fooled me into thinking I could get the last day taken off, but they never processed my request. I know that sounds bad, but the owner stood up for me and refused to charge me for the last night since I was checking out early n before 11am. He was so helpful, and knew that if he didn’t charge me for the night, they couldn’t force me to pay. Thank you so much Heart O’ Chicago and Jawed Imtiaz. You saved me almost $100. The traffic is extremely convenient, just a few minutes walk from the commercial street, Coach UGG LF and so on. Because it is located near the commercial street, it is very lively at night. Don't worry about being too late to come back. (Of course, given that Chicago's law and order is not so good, you still need to go back to the hotel earlier.) There is a Starbucks on the first floor of the hotel, but it is recommended opposite the hotel. The local coffee and breakfast shop, very good, there are many things, we only want to go there to eat breakfast on the day we left, I feel that it is a mistake to go without the first day. The hotel and Ctrip occasionally have a special level of treatment, this time I met, set a double room, the bed is very spacious, the room is very comfortable! Although the reservation is that there is no wifi, but it is actually full coverage, if you need high-speed wifi to pay, in my opinion, the ordinary is enough, send mail to watch the video is no problem. We only have good things to say about this hotel! I know it's Covid and all, but we're kind of getting used to how hotels are run nowadays. First of all, the location is perfect. It's close to the Magnificent Mile, Lake front trail, River Walk, etc. We parked using an app and chose to use The Streeter Garage on Ohio street. It was just a couple minutes of a walk. We chose this garage because it was the cheapest covered garage near by. Overall the hotel was very clean and comfortable. The pool was closed which was a disappointment to our son, but most pools are in Chicago at this moment. You do have to reserve a spot to use the workout facilities, but we did not find this to be a problem. I'm a runner and prefer to run outside, but we lacked the proper clothing for the chilly morning. However, I found the treadmill to be very nice. And the stunning views made up for running indoors! As for the room itself, the bed was very comfortable, the TV was surprisingly big, and the bathroom was quite modern with a nice shower head. Overall we felt quite blessed to have found this gem of a hotel. We will definitely be back in the future!
