We travelled a long way from Tokyo to Osaka. The kids were all tired when we finally reached Candeo Hotel. The staff were friendly and polite. Check in was very fast. We were given our room before the actual check in time. The front desk was good as she explained in detail how do we can access the sky spa and there are instructions printed out for guest. This is really helpful. Buffet breakfast was good and my kids love it!! The bath at the sky spa was really good. It is open over night so you can relax in the hot bath after a long day. The hot bath is a public bath for hotel guest. There is a steam bath area too. Guest can keep their belonging in the locker before going for the hot bath. There is two hot bath area, indoor hot bath and outdoor hot bath. We tried both and we prefer the outdoor bath, the air is cold as you soak in the hot bath. The hot bath is estimated at 43 degree. Our room has a King size bed and a sofa bed which can comfortably accommodate 2 adult 2 kids. The king bed is pretty big and can easily sleep 3 adult. Our room has enough space for our 3 luggage. There are cafe, convenient store and supermarket nearby. We enjoy staying in Candeo Hotel Osaka Namba and will definately book this hotel again.

This hotel is the best choice for participants in the Tokyo International Pavilion. In Shinbashi, you can take the seagull line directly to the pavilion. The room is small, but the equipment is very good, if you do not need to clean the room, there will be a refund. The restaurant on the second floor of the hotel has a good level of western food. The morning coffee and tea are free of charge. At night, there is a charge, but because the materials are very hard, many people have been eating it every night recently. The room also offers unlimited mobile internet access, very intimate!

The location of this hotel is only a 5 minutes walk from Shimbashi station provided you exit from the Karasumori exit. On exiting, you will see a traffic junction and an entertainment cum pachinko building with the sign TOPS. Follow the main road, go pass TOPS and after about 30metres or so, look to your left and you will see an open concrete square(Sakurada park) with a mini athletics track round it. Head across the square and you will see Tsutaya book cafe, Lawson convenience store next to it and the distinctive red logo of Hotel Sunroute. Go into Lawson and exit through its back door and you will find yourself at the lobby of the hotel. Staff were resourceful with information and tried their best to get messages across even though communication was an issue. Had a pleasant surprise as I was given an early check-in about two hours before the schedule time which is rather unusual in Tokyo. The single room I had was neat and clean but limited with hardly much space to manoeuvre nor allowance for luggages. Bed was comfortable and toiletries were of good quality. Soundproofing was good with not much disturbance and had a good night's sleep. Did not eat at the hotel but food is of the least concern as there are heaps of and all kinds of eateries all round. High end shopping at Ginza is only a 10 minutes walk away while commuting to Odaiba and the new fish market at Toyosu is a breeze as the Yurikamome line is just round the corner. Checking out was efficient and completed in less than a minute with the self automated check-out machine at the lobby. If room space is not an issue, Hotel Sunroute is highly recommended for its reasonable pricing, wonderful location, plentiful food options around the hotel, flexibility in checking-in and an accommodative and helpful staff. Without a doubt, would stay again if i happen to be in Shimbashi.

My wife and I stayed 9 nights in a 172 sq ft Superior Double with a -20% Hotel Pre Pay. We took the Airport Bus (1000Yen each) from NRT to Tokyo Station, then JY Line (200Yen each) to Shimbashi Station and walked 550m west to this hotel, arriving at 8 PM. A friendly English speaking receptionist checked us in and soon we took one of their 2 fast and spacious elevators to the 4th floor. Our compact/carpeted #404 had a comfortable queen with fluffy duvet, desk unit with refer, hot pot/tea, ample lights/outlets, chair, and an insulated window opening over a quiet back street. 4 hanger clothes pegs were across the fully outfitted bathroom with upgraded stall shower and heated Japanese toilet. The wall TV(12 channels-no English-is programmed for CNN but not on), good secure room WIFI and quiet AC. Luggage stored under the bed. The 7 AM serviced breakfast buffet in the lobby was complete and varied daily with OJ/Apple juice, salads, Cream of Corn/Minestrone/Onion soup, scrambled eggs/mini omelets, sausage links, bacon/chicken stuffed ravioli, new potatoes, breads/rolls/croissants jams, and coffee. This relatively new 109 room hotel is centrally located between 3 local metro stations (walking 200-500m) that we accessed for daily outings to Tokyo attractions using our 2 loaded PASMO cards, also used at the convenient 7-11 store just 80m north. The helpful desk staff reserved our daytrip to UNESCO Fujisan and aided my wife to operate their handy wash/dryer(400Yen). We found this well managed 14 story hotel offered good value in this expensive city, averaging us $134/night.

First of all, I need to clarify that I am not Japanese not Asian, which may absolutely make my opinion biased. I enjoyed every bit of my holiday trip in Japan up until the point I stayed in this hotel. What bothered me the most was how slow and inefficient everything was. Let me walk you through: 1) As you enter the hotel (male-only), you are asked to take off your shoes and use the sandals they provide (which is normal in Japan). You then need to put your shoes in a locker and give the staff your locker key so that they keep it and give you your room’s/luggage locker’s key. You have to do this every time you enter or go out, there’s no taking your room’s key outside of the hotel. This is an important annoyance and will always take several minutes. 2) If you have medium/big luggage you have to store in the first floor either in a very narrow locker or on top of it, with yet another locker/key the staff has to provide. You cannot take big luggage up to your room as there will be no space (room’s are in floors 4-6). 3) It is recommended (but not obligatory I think) that you wear some bath clothes the hotel provides (a brown, saggy outfit that is always too wide or too short where it’s not supposed to). Most of the passengers wear these as pijamas during their stay and change to regular clothes in the luggage storage room before they go out. 4) Baths and toilets are clean, modern, and provide every bath product you need (including styling products, toothbrushes and even mouthwash). There are many toilets and lavatories throughout the hotel but there are no private showers. The only existing showering area is that of the Onzen (basically about 20 open showers in a room where everyone gets cleaned before entering the hot bath). This is especially important for people who don’t feel comfortable being naked in public. The hot bath is ok. 5) Each room has a lot of capsules that are usually full, so do expect snoring and late-night comers. Still, it wasn’t very noisy to me. The capsules themselves are comfortable and fully equipped with cables and even a TV. The air gets kind of hot and thick at night but there is a common AC that compensates for that. 6) Breakfast consists of onigiris (rice triangles with various stuffings) that you make yourself with a vending machine. The ingredients and tastes are a lot stronger and maybe unpleasant for a westerner compared to the onigiris you can get in a market. So, in conclusion, if you are familiar with Japanese culture and food, this may be a decent stay especially considering the location and if you like onzens. To me it wasn’t much of a cultural shock but I disliked my stay. The staff barely speaks any english, they are slow, and the huge mess with keys and luggage and shoes is just not worth it. I will not come back again, even if it means paying double for a normal hotel.

Stayed 3 nights at the Daiwa Roynet Shimabashi property. To be honest, i didn't have much expectation as it was not a brand i am familiar and from reading the forum the lack of room/space was one of the biggest concern. I do agree that room is small, almost feels like staying at an inside statement of a cruise ship minus the sofa/living room space. Barely able to walk around the bed as the room is really cramp. But....the hotel delivers on service, amenities, and location. From check in to check out, the service is top notch. The staff can all converse in English enough to be of assistance. I found them very helpful, sincere, and willing to help. There are whole bunch of self-service amenities in the lobby from toothbrush, soaking bath salt, single pour over coffee, to pretty much everything you will need incase you forgot to bring them with you. The location is great. Landed in Haneda and took Keikyu line to Shimabashi as it has been suggested. There are lots of restaurants and eateries near the subway station which is about 5 mins walk from the hotel. If you are having trouble finding the hotel and need to ask someone, ask them which way to Dai-Ichi hotel which is on the other side of the street to Daiwa Roynet. There's a Ichiran Ramen that closes at 6am incase your body keep you awake and you need to get some early am ramen. In the subway, there's also a great udon place which fills up as soon as it opens at 7am. We ate a couple of times at the sushizanmai which was pretty good around $20-$30 for a combination plate. You are near Ginza. We walked to Tsukiji market which took around 20-30 mins. All in all, i think Shimbashi area is a great base for your travel around Tokyo. I highly recommend the location and the hotel.

The hotel is in a very good location. Shinbashi is just a few minutes from the station. It is very convenient to go to various places. We live here and go to Disneyland. Although the hotel is small, it is very clean, and some people clean it every day. There is also an Ichiran ramen nearby, you can eat during peak hours. It's close to the subway station, it will be a bit noisy.

If you loves omakase breakfast at Toyosu market, shopping at Venus Fort, Diver City, Aqua City, visiting the TeamLab Borderless and TeamLab Planets, and hot-spring at Ooedo Onsen, that's the perfect location. Even gives you quick access to Disney resort and Haneda Airport! Small rooms as usual but the one with twin double beds is excellent for parents with two young children. The only downside is no car-rental nearby.

this hotel is always my favourite. the location is very convenient for shopping, for food & for transport. However, it took me over 45minutes to check in hotel because they couldn't find my booking although I provided the Trip.com's confirmation number but I had no hotel confirmation number. Owing to the super typhoon which I must stay in the hotel, the hotel staff provided quality services & very good food. Overall, I enjoyed the stay.

Check in was a breeze, efficient and high tech. Godzilla head is an interesting feature of the hotel (esp. for fans), and location is great, right in the middle of the happening area. room size is good, can even be bigger if the toilet is joined with the bathing area. can bring the 2 single beds together to form a large bed.

Suidobashi/Tokyo Dome
Their service is nothing short of excellent. They have staff who are fluent in English (and other languages as well, I suspect). Me and my friend came thinking that we would be staying in a Single Room with Extra Bed since that was what we booked as we attempted to be more economic. However, to our pleasant surprise, our room was upgraded to a much much bigger room for free. We are very thankful to the helpful staff for making our stay pleasant and extremely comfortable. The location is great as it in located somewhere in between Iidabashi and Suidobashi which is pretty much close to the geographical center of Tokyo. Head east you will be able to visit Akihabara and Asakusa quick. Head west, you will be able to hit Shinjuku, Harajuku, and Shibuya. The neighbourhood is fairly quiet and the Tokyo Dome is just a 10-15 minute stroll away. If I am coming back to visit Japan, this hotel will be a clear top choice for me. Haven't had the opportunity to have the breakfast at this hotel, but I will certainly try it out on my next stay here.

Good hotel. Location is great and convenient, pretty much inside Sunshine city mall. There’s also a 24/7 family mart as well. Didn’t encounter any elevator problems in regards to having to wait long queue times.
