5km from downtownI stayed here for two nights and it was an average stay. This was probably my worst stay in Japan but that does not mean it was a bad one. The rooms were not as clean as others, the bathroom is tiny even for Japan. It is more of a hostel I think rather than a hotel as they have a whole hostel-type area. There is lots to eat and drink in the area and it is very close to the train and tram station so access around the city is easy although it is only about a 25 minute walk to the Hiroshima Peace Park. Good value for money but I would probably upgrade to a better property if I were here again. It serves its job, location is good for access, amenities abound outside. I cannot fault this hotel I just cannot praise it.

This is the best hostel that I have stayed in with so many extras provided that are rarely seen in a hotel, let alone a hostel. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a seeming 'zen garden' which doubles as the downstairs restaurant/bar. Unfortunately I never ate here but the menu always made me wish I had! The staff are extremely friendly and will go above and beyond to help. Now those extras I mentioned? Every day you can collect a fresh towel and face towel (EVERY other hostel charges between 50 - 200yen per day for this), the bathrooms provide free toothbrushes, razors and body sponges should you require them. Breakfast is provided (a seeming luxury across Japan) in the form of toast and miso soup. Coffee and tea can be purchased at the ridiculously inexpensive cost of 100 and 50 yen respectively. The rooms from the bedrooms/dorms to the shower rooms all continue an apparent decor theme of a clash between traditional and modern Japan (That's how I interpreted it anyway) and it just works in creating a calm and soothing environment. The beds are up there with the most comfortable I have slept on in Japan and the capsules are spacious with every bed assigned a drying/hanger in the dorm and an extra in your capsule. Lastly, the location is perfect! A short walk to Hiroshima Castle and the Peace walks/memorials. Furthermore, Miyajima is easily accessible from the hostel both quickly and cost effectively. I could go on and on but please, make sure you make Kawate-Ya the one you stay at for your stay in Hiroshoma!

5.72km from downtownThis apartment was in a good location. It is closer to tram stop for direct access to Hiroshima train station. You can walk to the Atomic bomb site and a Peace Park. There are a couple of supermarkets (7-11) close by as well. The apartment is advertised as 2 bedrooms, this is a bit of a stretch, there is 1 bedroom, and another area in the living room that has 2 beds that can be closed off with shutters. The beds are futons so need to be aware if you shave older people with you (we had my mum) that is is t so easy to get up and down to the bed. The room is very basic but comfortable. Bed was comfortable and the shower was good.

5.78km from downtownI stayed here for one night only. I chose this hostel since it's unbeatable regarding the price and location. Within just 5 minutes you can walk to the peace park and A-bomb dome. A tram station is even closer. When entering you have to put off your shoes and are right in the "living room" as well as the reception. My check-in was a little confusing, since apparently one of the longer staying guests was substituing the manager, who wasn't in the hostel at the time. He explained everything to me as best as he could though. A big plus are the check-in and -out times, since you can check in until evening and when checking out you have time until 11 AM, which is very considerate. If you need a towel you have to pay an extra fee of 200 ¥ (if I remember correctly). There are at least 2 rooms with multiple bedrooms. I stayed in the women only room, which had 8 bunk beds. The beds are built pretty closed, as you can see in the pictures. There is only one opening where you can enter (with a curtain as screen). The rest is closed. My bed was kind of prepared, but I had to do the linen myself. Also the futon was quite worn, I coult feel the wooden blanks beneath me every minute while lying down, which was very uncomfortable. The facility was very clean, especially the bathroom (there's 2 bathrooms with 1 toilet each) and showers (1 shower room with 2 secluded showers), from what I can tell. There is even a shared kitchen, where you can prepare your food if you want (I didn't need it though). Foods and drinks aren't allowed in the bedrooms. You get codes to enter after 10 PM through the front door and another to enter the female only bedroom at all times. There was free Wi-Fi, but I didn't use it, so I can't say anything about the speed or cennection. There were notes everywhere saying that this isn't a party hostel and to keep quiet between 10 PM and 8 AM, but when I was in bed (after 10 PM), I could hear some people in the "living room" chatting loudly and even singing/playing guitar. I'm glad I still can sleep with some noises around, but for people who can't it might be annoying. I was defenitely missing a locker. There are small lockers in the "living room", but only for valuables. I had to put my stuff in the bed (which luckily has the space for it), but it was still kind of annoying to share the space with my luggage. Fortunately I only had regular backpacks and bags and no big backpack or suitcase with me. If you have bigger luggage, you have to find some space in the room or leave it in the hallway. The staff was very friendly and tried to help where they could. All in all the stay was okay, but I'm not sure if I would stay there again... but maybe I'm just not a hostel person and expected too much. :)
Hotels Near Hiroshima Shudo University In Hiroshima Review
The single room has an independent bathroom and a good environment. There is free coffee and tea downstairs. The facilities are complete, clean and comfortable. There are various free pillows that can be exchanged, but the number is limited and you need to get it early.
Convenient location from the station. A lot of delicious, delicious and fun around, I recommend friends who have traveled to the destination to order Ctrip.
Very good modern hotel in an excellent location. Easy short walk to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. Easy short bus from the JR station to the hotel. Surrounding streets have good food options, shops etc. Our room was comfy and cosy. Small but very clean and modern private toilet/shower room. Downstairs communal area was nice and spacious. Friendly staff and nice touches like origami instructions on the downstairs tables :). Also convenient luggage storage facility. Thanks for a great stay!
The environment is very good, the front desk will be a little English, and the stay is very pleasant.
The most satisfactory hotel in this trip to Japan, the room was upgraded to an executive suite for free, super large, and the room layout was very comfortable. The location of the hotel is right next to the JR station. It is very convenient to travel. There are many delicious shops on the first floor of the station. The next time you go to Hiroshima, you will stay at this hotel.
I was worried because there was information about it being old, but I was very happy because there was no particular dissatisfaction, it was a walking distance to the Peace Park, and the counter responded pleasantly. Thank you very much.
Queit and peaceful place. Would recommend to anyone !
The first night I stayed in a Japanese-style room with Japanese characteristics. The second night started with a Western style. The hotel staff helped transfer the luggage directly to the new room. The front desk staff was very good in service and attitude. The hotel location is also very good. There are convenience stores and drug stores in the surrounding area. It is only a 5-minute walk from Hiroshima Station, and the airport bus is just under the Shinkansen Exit 5. It's also very convenient to get back to the airport.

Although the Hotel Kawashima is listed as a business hotel, it's a great place to stay. Moderately priced, inexpensive breakfast, modern, super clean, amenities, and a great location right across from Hiroshima Station. Rooms are small, but quiet and nicely appointed. Very highly recommended.
Hotel location is OK, it is convenient to go anywhere, you can walk to see the original explosion of Hiroshima. The price that needs to be seriously spit is Ctrip's price. I booked four hotels in Ctrip. The room standard is the same. I thought the price and the review thought it was very high, so the starting price was several times higher than other families. I didn't expect one. It was found that it was the worst of the four, and there was a wall outside the window. There was no light, which was much worse than any of the previous ones. If you don’t only stay for one night, you will definitely call to complain on the spot! It’s very bad behavior that Ctrip’s chaotic price is so bad that it’s not too bad.
I stayed there with 2 other french friends. It is more than just a clean place. It has an atmosphere. You can play some old video games on the second floor and enjoy a great bar on first floor. The barman would do everything he can to help you talking with Japanese people. Great place to meet some locals 😀

The rooms are the same as many hotels in Japan, and the sparrows are small and complete. Clean and hygienic is nothing to say. I was very enthusiastic and patient when I went to the front desk to buy the Miyajima Miyajima Pass. When the weather was good, the top of the Red Leaf Valley Park was very beautiful. It is also convenient to walk to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and the original blast site next to the hotel.
It took 2 minutes to get off at JR station. The room is the size of a general budget hotel. The facilities are not very new, but the overall is very clean. The hot springs are used by men and women in different periods of time. The bleaching agent is a little bit more, and it has a taste of bleach. Breakfast is Japanese, a little cramped but enough. Service attitude is very standardized.
We booked one of their twin rooms and not the ryokan room. It was one of the most spacious rooms on our Japan trip. Very clean and a nice private bathroom. The couple that runs the place were awesome. Very short easy walk to the Peace Park. Convenient to transportation also. They stored our bags for us while we toured. We loved the couple that ran this place and found them to be very nice. Would stay here again.
Stayed at this hotel two nights, booked two rooms. Decor is kitch in reception area, but rooms clean with modern bathrooms - small but perfectly formed. Staff helpful as we had to move teenagers as their room smelled of smoke (supposed to be non smoking). Lift starts on second floor so you have to take your luggage up one flight of stairs - will help you with your luggage if you require.
When I first chose this hotel, I saw the comment saying that it was close to the commercial street, and the shopping was convenient. The result was quite close. However, the room was very small. I have already selected a relatively large room on Ctrip. The system shows 24 square meters ( Figure 1), the result of entering the room, scared me, very cramped, the layout is very strange, the room is crowded with two beds and a sofa, the rest there are only two narrow passages. I went to the hotel to confirm that this is a 24 square meter room? The hotel did not make a mistake. I had to post the money for a bigger room. Otherwise, I didn’t know how to live it in the past two days. After checking the money-changing room, I looked at the escape map and found that it was actually the entire floor. The largest room (Fig. 2) is a typical fast hotel. The rooms are very small. The hotel's facade is hidden in a narrow passage. There are no other disposable items in the bathroom except for the toothbrush and the large bottle of shampoo. Go to the front floor of the front desk. The faucet in the room is small, see the video. The top-floor spa is not a natural hot spring, and the obvious bleaching powder tastes no interest. Not recommended. By the way, all the hotels I traveled in this time were booked on Ctrip, most of them are very satisfied, especially several hot spring hotels, thanks to the comments from the enthusiastic users who gave me help, so this I also commented very seriously and sincerely on each hotel, hoping to help friends who traveled.
The service attitude is good, it is not the first time to live. Shopping around is very convenient.
I think it's a bit far to walk to the Peace Park Atomic Bomb Dome.
It was close to downtown, so there was no need to worry about where to eat rice. There was also recommended information on the first floor of the hotel, which was helpful.
The room was on the 8th floor, so the view was good, but I couldn't wait for the electric garami or noisy in the middle of the night. As I said at the time of the checkout, it was an apology without emotion.
I thought I should call in the middle of the night and have it dealt with, but I was tired, I did not want to see it, and I had a daughter, but I did not do it, Itsukushima Shrine I did not know what I visited and I could not answer, so I was sorry that I could not stay anymore!
It is close to the station, the location is easy to find, and the indoor sanitation is also quite clean, but the bathroom is a little narrower...
There is no big closet in the room anymore, others are satisfied
I can`t stress enough how wonderful the staff members are!! During my stay (four nights) all of the staff were warmhearted, welcoming and totally lovely! Thank you Misaki, Mai, Marie and Banchan! In the Hostel bar you can easily meet people from the neighbourhood and other hostel guests. There`s also a common area only for hostel guests, with a kitchen and fridge. The shower is really spacious, you can use shampoo, conditioner, body soap for free. The design of the sinks is very cute and there`s even more free stuff next to them. The bed is comofortable and you have enough space to put away your backpack. Shin-Hakushima JR station is only 3min away, and by walking (25min) you can reach the Peace Memorial Museum and Park, the Hiroshima castle (15min). You will get a self-drawn map so you can discover the area around Roku, don`t miss out on those places! I just loved my stay here, I am definitely going to come again!

It was very clean and the service was excellent.
It was great to have an Ochazuke buffet at night and amenities for children.
It was nice to have women-only amenities at check-in.
The room was large and the sofa was comfortable to sit in.
The morning buffet was also delicious.
Freshly baked bread is recommended.
Probably because it was the New Year season, when I went to the public bath around 23:00, it was very crowded.
It was a pity because the floor at the entrance of the large communal bath was dirty and the bath mat was wet, probably because there were many people.
The location is very close to JR Hiroshima Station, the hotel service and eating are also good, drinks have always been. It is necessary to take a bus from the shopping place to get there. You need to take the bus to the busy place in the city center. However, because it is a big station after all, it is very convenient for transportation. There is a day ticket and so on. You can buy it according to your needs. The hotel's photos are not much, but it is still quite rich, with some road maps and ticket information, I hope to help.
The Toyoko Chain is a budget hotel group which offers friendly, professional and reliable service. The Staff are friendly, helpful and pleasant. The rooms are reasonably priced and clean. No frills or creature comforts as, it is geared towards the Japanese businessman. Well done Toyoko.
The night view is very beautiful, very close to Hiroshima Station, the breakfast is delicious, and the convenience store is also close. It is really a great hotel.
