The hotel is good, the staffs are friendly and very helpful. The front-liners speak fluent English, communication is not a problem. We purposely booked the hotel in that area just to have the 'feel' of the local Vietnamese daily lives. The biggest challenge was the stepping up the stairs to the highest floor, but we've managed. A laundry service is just next door, plenty of pedi-medi outlets around, we had a great stay there!

The Louis Hotel is a very basic, but clean place. It's not super east to find, down a narrow walkway, hidden amongst many other similar offerings. It's right around the corner from the main walking street, a pretty seedy area filled with bars and massage parlors. It's a loud area, at all hours, so you won't have a problem finding something to do or see. As far as the hotel is concerned, the basic amenities it offers needs to be upgraded. A tiny sliver of soap, and a ketchup packet sized shampoo is not nearly enough. The rooms are super clean and modern, with both a fan and AC. The beds are comfortable, albeit with a very thin blanket. There is an elevator as well as a smoking area on the roof. The staff was nice enough, but didn't distinguish themselves in any way. Ig was a gkod, clean place in a dirty neighborhood. For the price, it's worth it, just don't expect many bells ans whistle s.

Very suitable private hotel, near Bar Street, only 2 minutes walk, easy to find. The hotel staff warmly received, there is no elevator, it is more laborious to have luggage, you can ask the waiter to take it.

We caught the 20,000 VND yellow bus from the airport to 23/9 stop bus station where the route terminates). Just a 2 minute walk down the road and through an alleyway, we found Funny Guesthouse. Antonio really could not have been more welcoming, we were greeted with fresh fruit and a glass of refreshing lemon drink. Antonio then took the time to advise us of local places of interest within walking distance and provided us with a map. Payment was on check out. We stayed in Lau 1, the room on the 1st floor. The room was extremely comfortable, two large beds, tv, well equipped kitchenette and nice spacious bathroom. Every thing worked fine e.g. air conditioner was excellent and shower was nice and warm. There was also a large fridge which was stocked with water, local beers, Coca Cola and Sprite. You could stay here on a self catering basis. Antonio makes you breakfast in the morning between 0630-1000. Offers egg based western type dishes and then noodles with eggs. Everything made fresh and in front of you while you wait. And a plate of fresh fruit. We only stayed two nights but would most definitely stay again if we ever visit Ho Chi Minh City again. The Guesthouse is so convenient for buses to get you to Cu Chi Tunnels and other places of interest. There is also a market nearby and it’s a couple of minutes walk from Backpacker/Walking Street which is lined with drinking holes. A great place to stay with impeccable hospitality. Highly recommend.

1. The hotel is located at the entrance of Bar Street, and there is a bar opposite. It was really after two o'clock in the evening, the sound outside was still very loud. In addition, the hotel facilities are average, in fact it is very similar to the domestic seven days/Han Ting, but breakfast is good, the front desk staff are also very kind.

When we arrived at the hotel it all seemed fine, the staff seemed friendly and we even booked an excursion through them. The room was a bit dark and didn’t have a window but for what we needed it for was not bad, we felt at $20 per night it was a little expensive, nevertheless in a great central location so we extended the room for a couple more nights. On our last evening we needed to get some more dollars as we were crossing the border to Cambodia the following day. I already had $20 in my wallet which I had put on my bedside table, so we set off for 1 hour to get our dollars and come back. When we had got back and went to the room, I was surprised to see that the room had been made up so late by the staff. Not only that but the $20 we had left there had disappeared. Both my girlfriend and I knew we had left it there as we only popped to get a few more dollars but searched high and low anyway to be sure it hadn’t been misplaced before informing the hotel of what had happened. When we went downstairs to tell the staff they immediately said they needed to call their manager and get the cleaners to come reception. It was awkward as they said they hadn’t seen any money which was clearly not true. When I asked the hotel if they could let me have one free nights stay instead to make up for it they said that it is hotel policy that anything that goes missing in the room is not their responsibility. I said that they don’t provide a safe and that whenever the room has been cleaned before, they asked us if they could come in rather than just helping themselves in such a short window of opportunity. They told me that they always clean the rooms (that’s untrue as they did it twice in 4 nights) and that anyone at the hotel should store all of their valuables at the front desk. So every time I go out the staff expected me to leave my laptop, camera, iPad, passports with them rather than the safety of my own room. I don’t understand why they are even putting locks on the doors when they are allowing staff to enter without consent to take things knowing that the customer has no leg to stand on when they just say “sorry hotel policy”. One of the new hotel ladies who worked behind the desk was also taking sly photographs of my girlfriend behind her back, when I asked her what she was taking them for and if she could show me and delete them, she absolutely lost it. She got up told me she had copies of all my passports anyway so could do what she wanted with my information and was threatening with it, it was disgraceful how she spoke to a customer and even her own colleagues were embarrassed by her actions. All in all it wasn’t resolved, they made me pay my full bill even though I said I’d have to share my experience as other customers need to know about what system they are operating at the hotel. They said they didn’t care, the $20 is more important than the bad review apparently. I’m stupid to have left any money on my bedside table and won’t do it again, but

I arrived on the 17th December and at first impressions, everything was great. The lady on reception was welcoming and checked me in to my room quickly, even though I had arrived quit a bit earlier than the check in time (I had an early morning flight from Hanoi the same day) my room was ready and I was allowed to go straight up. They had a porter took my large and heavy back up to my room for me, which was great. I only stayed for one night, because the next day I had an early morning flight to Bali. In the evening, around 9:30-10pm, I started getting all my things packed up again, as I had a 5am start the next morning, and I realised my passport was missing. I remember handing it over at reception for them to make a copy, and realised that I hadnt received it back. I headed down to reception to retrieve my passport, and was greeted by a very rude lady - a different person to the one that had greeted me in the morning and been so welcoming to me. When I asked for my passport back, she refused and immediately became unnecessarily agressive, and demanded that I give her money for it before it could be returned to me. She insisted again and asked me for 500,000 VND. I again refused to give her the money, and informed her that she had no right to withhold my passport from me, under any circumstances. I told her to go ahead and make a copy, but that I wasn't leaving reception until I had my passport back. I informed her that I was leaving early in the morning to make an international flight, and it was vital that I have my passport with me so that it isn't lost / misplaced / forgotten. Again, she got even angrier and shouted at me, "no money, no passport!". At this point, I certainly wasn't going to back down, but despite her aggression and rudeness, I managed to stay calm and polite during the entire exchange, because I knew she had no legal right to keep my passport. As a long term traveller I'm aware that hotels cannot withhold your passport from you under any circumstances. I informed the woman that the passport was not actually my property, that officially, it belongs to the British Crown - which is true. I also informed her that I was fully aware the foreigners in Vietnam are required to carry photo ID with them at all times, and that the police would be interested to know that my passport was being withheld from me. At that point she realised that she had lost, and literally threw my passport at me and it landed on the reception counter. She then shouted at me, "Go back to your room!". I asked her what the problem was, and she literally yelled, "GO TO YOUR ROOM, GO NOW!" I guess she didn't like the fact that I knew she was wrong and made her look stupid. She knew she was wrong, and I know for a fact that had I needed to get the police to help, they would have certainly made sure she returned the passport to me. A real shame, because the greeting in the morning was lovely, the bag porter was kind and helped me wit

This concept of serviced apartments is a great alternative to hotels. At $34 USD it was very affordable and the location was perfect. Next to a bank to easily exchange currency, a circle K for last minute necessities and several local restaurants. The room includes the basic toiletries and kitchen accessories (pot and pan, utensils, dish washing detergent, and coffee maker). The front staff will provide you with anything else you need like water, extra towels, extra coffee. And the plus: free laundry. Meaning that after 10 days away I came home with clean laundry! Can't say enough about the staff. Traffic is difficult in Saigon and the valet was always ready to help your taxi get in and out. There is no parking on premises. There is a small cafe at the lobby which I did not go to but I could tell it has some coffee and pastries. I felt safe during my stay in the hotel.

Overall: Satisfactory and enjoyable stay ~ There are not many hotel brands at the top of the Ho Chi Minh Pyramid, Park Hyatt Park Hyatt in the city center is one, and this M Gallery is one.            The Social Club on the top floor of the hotel is well known locally and is often overcrowded. Much better than M Galley in Hanoi. Transportation: Although in the third district, it is a 10-minute walk from the city center cathedral. It takes 40 minutes to the airport and the location is good. The city is not big, and Grab is easy to go. Environment: Colonial French designs are everywhere in Vietnam. But the scale of this design is well grasped, concise, modern, without the complexity and cumbersomeness of the old era.            For example, there will be no very old wood color, and there will be no special bling feeling. Old-school art, old-school elegance. Service: Staff smile service throughout, professional ~

The rooms were spotless and very large lounge rooms with a functional fully equipped kitchen so I could stay in and cook on nights I had friends over. The 2 bedrooms had en-suite which were modern and cleaned daily. There is also a washing and ironing service provided that very reasonably priced. The rooms are quiet and comfortable like home. I and my girlfriend went to Sen Boutique House for our short stay (few hours) before our flight at midnight. I definitely agree with the previous reviews that everything inside and outside are very clean, organized and well-decoration. Also, the staff was friendly and helpful. However, the thing made me to leave the review with 3 out of 5 is the operational procedure which we got stuck before. Let’s me tell you the story! Our flight delayed until midnight was a main reason to motivate me to make the reservation via OTA, which named Traveloka and we also had paid in full before checking time around 2 hours. Later, we were present at the hotel around 2.15 PM. Surely, we let the staff know the name of booking and showed her the receipt that we got via email from Traveloka. She checked the system and let us know that there wasn’t any booking under my name in her property manager. And she asked me to wait for her to call to another people who keep in charge the booking. Then, I ask her how long does the system take to check my booking, so we could hang out for cup of coffee instead of waiting too long for it (We definitely know that we made last minute reservation!!!). Sadly, the staff blamed me because of booking late !?!? She also gave us the comparison of the other clients who usually book the accommodations in advance 1-2 weeks! I don’t know the answer of the owners is, but you said like this, please tell me how did you open the property for the last minute booking? Secondly, I also wonder that the notice mentioned about the security deposit 500.000 VND “or” original ID. Why did I have to give both of methods!!! As a person who work in hospitality field, I hope that this procedure will be changed in order to suit the clients in the future.

Just coming from the big hotel in Nha Trang is a bit uncomfortable, but after a day I feel pretty good. The breakfast was very good and the taste was good. The hotel has a piano, nothing to play a bomb. Walk to the church, post office, museum, art gallery, etc. from the hotel for a long time. In the afternoon, I walked to the plant animal yard next to me. It was a surprise, a lot of animals, and it was very clean. The animals were very healthy, elephants, giraffes, hippos... It’s quite cheap to eat at the cafe on the left hand side downstairs. Turn right on the right hand side and have a beef noodle in the alleyway. When I checked into the hotel, I found that there is a door in the room. The two rooms can be opened and connected to each other. It feels very unsafe. I immediately added money to exchange for a room without this setting. I spent more than 300 RMB. Ctrip.com clearly wrote about the special circumstances of the room (especially this design that seriously affects the privacy of the room), which resulted in misjudgments during booking and exceeded the cost budget. In addition, the hotel as a whole is better, more like a domestic kapok hotel, but the exterior design is very French, and the interior design also has a range hood and a sink for cooking. It feels like a tourist route and a bit wasteful.

In fact, it is not so easy to find, from Hainan chicken this road is impossible to enter, from the coffee shop, just in the middle of the small alley, will also pass the name massage shop miumiu; another just happened to meet the market in the city A large piece of land is being built, and it has to be around to get past. 1. Accurate positioning. In an alley, there is an iron gate at the entrance of the alley. It will be closed at 11pm (the key was given at the front desk, but it is basically useless), which is safer. 2. The environment of the room is OK, and all of them have (safe, refrigerator, TV, air conditioning, separate shower room, hairdryer, slippers). 3. The equipment is relatively old, the headlights in the room where I live are broken, I called the front desk and said that I would contact the master and leave it alone; there is a nest of ants in the bathroom, and the toilet cover is broken; At night, when it was close to 30 degrees, he was directly turned into a monkey and could not sleep at all. 4. The highlight is the window, the view is wide and not depressed, which is more praiseworthy. 5. The MM at the front desk was very good. I gave a lot of suggestions for eating and drinking. In summary, you can consider stepping points for tourism. Attachments include parks and churches. It is a little far away from Fan Lao Fifth Street. Take a taxi for about 20-30 yuan.
