The hotel is very basic. Probably it has a high price considering the evaluation of 3 stars hotel. Breakfast would need to be improved. Good location but you need to pay the parking off street as well.

Located rather well, has access to buses, trams and metro (500 m). The majority of services along the Ibis Budget standards. As for me I lacked only a web-corner which is a must at many Ibis and Ibis Budget hotel. It happened that my phone wa stolen in Marseille and the hotel couldn't help me with the internet access after that. Fortunately, the receptionist allowed me to make a short call to say I was safe. Thanks for that

Well situated 250m from Metro station in somewhat run-down area , Odalys stands out like a breath of fresh air with its colourful exterior. Reception staff are very helpful and some speak excellent English whilst being patient with guests' pigeon French -always pleased to help where they can . Common areas, dining area and bedroom are kept spotlessly clean ,although for 7 days stay , you either do the "menage" yourself or pay extra .Appartment-style room was spacious with plenty of storage space .Room comfortable and quiet although when the Mistral blew it got a bit noisy at night . Continental breakfast pretty standard with good coffee from machine with long opening time of 6am to 10am . A couple of issues about breakfast on my departure morning were more than satisfactorily resolved. Really enjoyed my stay here , and if opportunity permits, I'll return . Special mention for Clarence ( who is a young lady despite the name ) and Sarah who were especially accomodating and helpful .

The Montempô Marseille Centre Dôme provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Montempô Marseille Centre Dôme offers a pleasant stay in Marseille for those traveling for business or leisure. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Saint Charles Train Station located approximately 3km away and Provence Airport roughly 27km away. Being just minutes away from Saint-Just Hôtel Du Département Metro Station allows guests to explore the city with ease. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Museum d’Histoire Naturelle, Friche la Belle de Mai and La Cane Biere all nearby. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. This Marseille hotel provides parking on site.

I visited Marseille twice for vacation in February 2020. Both times at stayed at Mama Shelter. The second one because I enjoyed the first one. The hotel has very good rooms with good natural light. Clean bathrooms with strong water pressure in the shower. Breakfast with a large variety of options in a great setting. The room is alñso a bar at night where you can have a light meal or just cocktails. The hotel is close to Cours Julien which has nice restaurants with tables on the square. To go to the Vieux Port you can either walk (about half an hour at regular pace) or take the metro at Notre Dame du Mont. I recommend the hotel if you want a Marseille experience outside the regular tourist spots, but close to them.

The hotel is a fairly old town house, integrated into a row of others and from the outside not very spectacular. It is a quarter, where most people would live in flats, so parking space is limited. Hotel Azur reserves some space in front of the hotel for loading and unloading the luggage. A nice entrance hall leads to a reception, where I was received in a very kind and helpful manner. It all seems a little old fashioned, also that nobody insisted on pre-payment, nowadays only in luxury hotels the case. Due to bad experience with today's society fewer and fewe} houses afford trusting in their guests being respectable people. Once you go up the stately staircase you realise that it follows the walls leaving a considerable space inside empty, allowing you to look down to the ground floor, an incredible anachronistic experience in a time, where space in cities gets increasingly valuable. And indeed Hotel Azur is located quite centrally with only 15 minutes by foot to the yacht harbour (and if you are lazy, there is a tram 200m from the hotel). I chose a small single, which was cheap, but, of course did not follow the grandeur of the staircase, but was nice apart from the toilet being directly in the room. However the night showed the only disadvantage, the thin walls, in fact the very thin walls. After hearing the neighbor so clearly moving in his bed, I had the impression to share a double with him, I did not dare to switch on the lights, in case they shone through the wall waking him up. Following his sleep he did not have any problem with the noise I made, so this depends really on your sleep. Next mornings breakfast suits the old fashioned environment: rather than being expected to run around with your plate and organise your breakfast yourself your first meal of the day will be served, if you wish, in a wonderful multi level back yard, giving you a colonial feel or at least what you would have expected from typical Southern French Retreat.

I stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend from 2nd September to 6th September and loved it! The hotel staff were friendly, the space was clean and relatively quiet. We had a lovely room with a fantastic view of the port, shops etc. and often found ourselves staring out of the window for ages each morning! The hotel is positioned around an abundance of food and drinks places. We were easily able to walk around to local attractions, hire scooters, take the tour train and a 1.5 hour boat ride - I suggest going to the tourist help building so learn all the tips and tricks. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel as there were plenty of other places to eat and it seemed a tad expensive. The hotel is a 20/30 min taxi ride from the airport. Costing us about €30-40 from what I can remember. The hotel are happy to cal a taxi for you too making it v easy. I would stay here again and thoroughly enjoyed my time in Marseille!

Vieux Port - La Canebière
This hotel had been highly recommended by a well travelled friend so we were a little disappointed to say the least. Perhaps the most unfortunate aspect was the service, which so many reviews comment on favourably. When we arrived one member was on the phone having an argument, another said she couldn't do check ins and the final one was so incompetent and charmless we felt quite unwelcome. Certainly wasn't a problem having accommodation across the road, but it would have perhaps been nice - or professional - to have taken us over there and shown us access. We tried to pop back in the evening for a drink but told very abruptly the bar was closed for a private function. Some additional staff training in customer service perhaps required! Although the hotel accommodation had been renovated recently (2017?) there was some wear and tear in the shower area that made it look a bit tatty sadly, but having said that the room we were in had very comfortable beds, was very clean and had lovely towels. Incidentals were poor but it only claims to be a 3 star hotel so no problem. Bedside lights were very irritating because you had to have both on at the same time - style over substance perhaps since they were very pretty. Breakfast was acceptable but not particularly cosy/comfortable. However very hard to find anywhere else locally that served anything better. Location was good - only 5 or so minutes to the Vieux Port and many interesting side streets with independent retailers, smart shops and cafes. Shame we had to remind the hotel that they had put one of us in a cheaper room than the one we had paid for and then we had to 'negotiate' a discount. Since we work in the hospitality business I have kindly put much of this down to 'end of seasonitis' but I don't think we shall be returning to check on any improvements!

This is the first hostel where I stayed that hasn't tried to cramp in as many beds as possible in one room. Hence, the rooms are very spacious and very comfortable. Stayed two nights and found hotel to be clean, comfortable and good value for money. Room was quiet and bed was very comfortable. Stayed during a heat wave but room was at perfect temperature but didn’t need to turn on the a/c! On the downside the breakfast was poor. Cheap bread rolls and greasy mini-viennoiserie, opted for the cornflakes on second day. The coffee was awful. On the upside the staff were nice, hotel clean, left luggage area is free, good WiFi, and the bathrooms electronics have to be seen to be believed :-) A good place to stay if you want value for money and stay in a modern building.

Good value for money, about two kilometers from the train station, there are no supermarkets and restaurants around, the front desk is very warm, we also learned a little Chinese, talk to us for a while, haha. The sea view room is just like that, anyway, I can't see the sea on the fourth floor, or go to Cannes and Nice to see the sea. The room is clean and the facilities are new, Mediterranean style, equivalent to orange crystals.

Super spacious suite design, everything from capsule coffee machine to microwave oven is very convenient. A handsome guy with curly hair (uncle) at the front desk has a standard Tianjin accent, super enthusiastic, and the other staff are also very nice, all so helpful! This InterContinental hotel in Marseille is a great location. Self-driving is very convenient and easy to find, Ctrip navigation is accurate. The hotel is a landmark building, facing the harbour, very stylish, especially the night view is very beautiful, walking to various attractions, shopping centers are very close. The accommodation is very comfortable, the room is large, the ceiling is very high, the bathroom is large, and the function is very good. The windows are very large and can be fully opened to enjoy the view. The first class is great, the ventilation is good, the room is carpeted, and the breakfast is rich. The bed is large, the two single beds are more than two meters wide, and the family of three sleep very spacious. Good service, a cup of coffee on the hotel terrace in the evening is very pleasant, suitable for family fun, very satisfied!

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights to visit the city . The room was on a top floor - quite small but clean & quiet and had everything we needed. AC was there which is very important in summer. The only disadvantge of the room was a sloping wall - you need to be very careful about it not to injure yourself. We didn´t order any breakfast - there are a lot of cafes close to the hotel where you can get it cheaper. Location was good - 5 min. walk to the next underground station and the big shopping mall , as well as to the tram station . We also walked to the downtown , as it was not far away.

It is within walking distance of all major attractions and is fully equipped and convenient. have to be aware of is: 1. The location marked in the room and the check-in are not the same location, but on the back of Rue Vacon Street. See the drawing, I hope that the next time Ctrip can make a note, although it is the listing of booking. 2. We live on the second floor, 2nd floor, actually the third floor. If there is no elevator, the weight of the baggage needs to be considered. 3. Regarding parking, there is one next to the hotel, which is very convenient. The guide is 15 Euros a night. This depends on the specific time period. From the drawing, everyone can understand the parking rate. We stopped for about 22 hours on the first day, and paid the top 31.7 euros. The next day is 9:00 in the morning. Leave and pay about 22 euros. 4. Regarding the pre-authorization deduction, they usually return at 4 pm on the day of departure, plus the bank's operating time, it may take 2-3 days to arrive. We are showing pictures of the check-out, I hope to return immediately. The staff asked if the room had extra consumption and immediately retired.

If this had been a 3 star hotel I would have thought it very good but am a bit surprised it earns four stars. The room was tiny and had some design flaws ( for instance we kept on stubbing our toes on a chair, the tap was too close to the back of the sink for one to be able to put one's hands under it to wash them) and was not entirely clean (some mucky marks on the curtains). However it was quiet and quite well appointed and the staff of the hotel were friendly. The common areas downstairs were nice, with an unexpected indoor courtyard garden, and the pool made the place truly worthwhile. The area is full of little lovely restaurants of all sorts but be warned, most except for the most common chains are closed on Sundays. We had to resort to room service which we most definitely do not recommend - all reheated frozen stuff and the most unpleasant "gaspacho" that I've ever tasted.

There are several supermarkets nearby, and there are also all-day shopping. It is very convenient to buy things back. At the same time, the nearby transportation is convenient, and it is very convenient to go to the sights. Many attractions are within walking distance. It’s a ten minute walk to the port. Parking: Drive to the hotel door and park your valet. After that, I will give you a card and show it to the concierge in the car. They will drive you to the door. If their services are not needed, the car park is right next to it, sharing with Novotel, 25 Euro/day. Room: Booked a common double room, the front desk pays 60 euros to upgrade to sea view + package parking fee. But the so-called sea view is really super general. Looking at the old port, the vision is not wide, the windows are dirty, and there is a layer of soil. Spa: Free Jacuzzi and sauna are available, along with a gym. There is room to drink a small bread. Change your bathing suit in the room, put on your bathrobe, call the spa and ask for it. You can go. Breakfast: The view is actually normal, look at the old port on the seventh floor. The windows are still dirty, and there is really nothing to look at through the layers of soil. There is an outdoor area, which is too cold and windy at the beginning of May, only sitting a little. Breakfast is not too rich, the fruit is only kiwi and apple without peeling. In short, it is not very recommended. I came to the breakfast and regretted not going to try Nhow.

The train station next to McDonald's is the first choice for those traveling by train in France. The room was large enough and spacious, the breakfast was basic but it was ok. There are many strange people near the train station at night, and it is not recommended to go out in the middle of the night. Overall very satisfied, the transportation is very convenient, and it is very close to the attractions. The overall law and order of Marseille is not very good, I suggest everyone to go out and be careful. The scenery is very beautiful, and the local customs can be regarded as a Marseille style with southern French characteristics.

The hotel staff was all very friendly. They spoke good English hence making it easier for communication. Room was a bit small but still very nice and cosy. Something which I loved about this hotel was that we were given free plug adapters, upon request, to use during our stay as we forgot to bring them with us. AC and heater were available in the room. Wifi was always in good connection and with great network speed. Also, breakfast was quite good. Hotel seems quite small and has a facade which barely shows that it's a hotel. Yet it is in a very good location and you surely cannot judge the book by its cover especially in this case.

The first time I stayed in the hotel, I felt like home, small enough, kind enough, and caring enough. The hotel room does not have slippers, toothbrushes, kettles, only bath products. Hot water tea bags, coffee and biscuits are available in the lobby. Every time you come back from shopping, sit in the Nordic-style lobby and enjoy the cold wind, hot tea, and chat with the front desk. The family room I live in has one large bed and two small beds. The breakfast is very simple, it ends at ten o'clock, and the food and drink are complete. If you wake up late, there is still bread to eat in the lobby. This is why it feels like home, because there are many times a day you have to stay here. The hotel is close to the castellane station of Metro Line 1. I bought a three-day ticket for the trip. Metro and public transportation are common. All attractions can be reached by no more than two buses. I tried to walk to the old port on foot on the first day, which took less than half an hour. There are Korean restaurants and Carrefour supermarket downstairs. There are Chinese restaurants, seafood and pizza near the subway station. Very convenient.

The hotel is based on a quiet but unappealing street not far from the train station. Check in was smooth however staff had extremely limited English language which continued throughout our 3 night stay. Upon arrival at the room the description of small double room was very accurate as this was as described. The bed however was barely a double, more three quarter size, the sink was situated within the bedroom and the only window was in the bathroom which was not opaque glass meaning the blinds were always closed meaning the room was always in constant darkness. I must add that the view out was disgusting (over looking a roof terrace that was covered in cigarette butts and rubbish). The shower and toilet were together in a wet room approx 1.5 metre square, this also flooded every time a shower was taken. (possibly due to uneven floor). The room was clean and presentable with tea/coffee making facilities, French only TV, bed made every morning, however this wasn't a comfortable bed, or the pillows. When i attempted to ask for a pillow, nobody in the building could understand English, so i used a cushion. There was no safe or fridge in the room but again there was only just enough room to store dust. We opted out of the overpriced breakfast that consisted of boiled eggs, packed buns, cereal and fruit for around £9 each. Instead we walked a short distance to experience true French breakfast for around £5.50 per person. The best was Brasserie Le Grand Escalier literally around the corner. Marseilles is an amazing city that we will return to, but not to this hotel.

Such a stunning hotel, all around. This is, by far, the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. I wish I had gotten the name of the front desk staff that helped us - they were so kind and lovely and understanding after we arrived from a LONG and horrible day. My husband and I were on our honeymoon and had a horrible experience at another hotel, that essentially lost our reservation and asked us to leave. While we can afford it, we normally never stay at hotels this nice, we're much more the "budget" travel types. But the one bedroom suite we booked here was STUNNING, with a patio and a sauna in the room! The pool is also so beautiful, how can you beat a pool over looking the Mediterranean Sea? It's true this hotel is outside the port and city center, and while we had originally planned to stay on the port and explore the neighborhoods of Marseille, we adjusted our plans and stayed around the hotel for our two night stay - might as well get your money's worth right?? We had lovely pizza from the pizza place up the street, and yummy kabobs from the spot just at the top of the street. We spent an entire day laying in the sun on the small beach just down the street, swimming in the Mediterranean and had a wonderful time. The young man at the front desk even helped my husband call Hertz to confirm our rental car for the following day to ensure we got an automatic vehicle (since we can't drive manual...haha). I just want to say, THANK YOU, to everyone at this hotel for such a wonderful stay. <3
